The waitresses were flustered even though it wasn't even busy. Our waitress kept on coming and asking if we ordered this or that... She came probably 5 times. The service was so bad. Service is one thing but the food was worse. This is seriously the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE that my family and I did not finish our sashimi or sushi. Our tuna was so stringy that I had to spit out 2 then I just gave up afterward. The sashimi was all sliced wrong. Highly disappointed and left hungry that we went to McDonald's afterwards. Yes, it was that bad. I only went for the groupon but I wish I knew ahead of time. Not worth the trip.

I'm new to Florida, just moved from Texas a couple of months back. In Texas the Asian food has always been good. I tried many Asian food places around the North Miami FL area and this place is the best one so far. I've only had the lunch buffet for $10 so I can't speak about the rest of the menu, but the buffet is well worth it. There's at least 10 different rolls you can choose from, I took a bit of everything. They have fresh ginger, seaweed, edamame, and wasabe as sides. The staff were always nice. The sushi chief even came by our table to ask how the rolls were. I was very pleasantly surprised after trying out many places that were just mediocre, this place has now become my regular joint.

Ive eaten here a few times... quaint lil hole in the wall place but great food and sake!! the owner, if around and not busy, usually sits down says hi and checks on everything. Everything I've had is excellent...the baby octopus salad rocks! as does spicy tuna roll, the sake and of course cant forget to finish it off with cheesecake tempura! The service is usually pretty good, though at times it has taken longer than what I'd like to get my food even when I'm the only one in the joint but the wait is worth it.

This is a very interesting restaurant. As you walk in, you can notice is very local customer based. Not only because of its location, but, because every who enters the place says hello to de owner (a Mr. Choo) as if they were raised together; regardless of age or sex. The food is good, you can order from the japanese or chinese menu. Either way, the food taste good and the serving sizes are generous. The only two things that kind of bother me were: 1) they took a long time to bring the food, even though we were by ourselves; and one guy walked in long time after us, order to go, and got his food before us... Hmmmm. 2) the place doen't feel clean (and i said "feel"), but thatms just guts feelings. If you ask me, you can find better places.

So good! ! Whenever I come to this part of Florida, I make sure that I stop here for dinner. the menu is extensive, everything I've ever tried is tasty, well prepared and presented really well. It's hard to believe that a great place like this is in your run of the mill florida strip mall. Great food, good service. I love this place.

Took my daughter here using a groupon. We ordered the sushi sashimi combo delux. I thought the sashimi was pretty good, pieces were large and tasted fresh. The sushi had very thin pieces of fish over round rice balls. The California roll was a bit spicy. Not sure why - there was no wasabi on it but my daughter hates anything spicy so she didn't eat it. The restaurant was empty when we got there, and only 1 couple arrived the whole time we were there. It did seem there were several take our orders though. The whole experience was very average, although the service was very good; prompt and courteous.

A great little place, that has an eclectic variety of rolls. Yes, they have the ubiquitous California Rolls, Spider Roll,s, but they have a stand out amongst them, it's the Colombian roll. That is now my favorite roll, and it is different, but not in a yucky sense of the word. The Spicy Tuna Salad also rocks, and portion control was not a problem. Our service was very good, and we didn't have any issues, that have been reported in previous reviews. I like this place, it's a great neighborhood place, were it's full of locals.

All I can say is Wow! I didn't know service can be this bad. It wasn't the waitresses fault, it was the kitchen. The kitchen sent out the 1st meal (seafood wor bar) 15 minutes before the 2nd & 3rd...then after 15 more minutes we cancelled the 4th meal (which was exactly the same as the 3rd meal - chicken teriyaki). The meat was fatty, over cooked and just not good. We will be giving this the family "gate" and will not be back.

Disclaimer: I visited because I had a groupon and it is close to my house. The place is quiet and just hidden in a strip mall. The servers are friendly but the teapots, teacups, etc. are plastic which is not okay with me. I had the dragon roll and another roll with a name that phases me but it was, well, plain. It just didnt grab my tastebuds like other places. If you are looking for a quiet meal, come here, otherwise, go somewhere with Sriracha on the table just in case.

There is an old belief that you should never dine out on Mondays, as these are the slowest days for restaurants, staff is short and usually they run out of fresh products after the busy weekend. My wife and I went for Monday dinner. Although the waiter sevice and prices were good, the overall dining experience was much below average. This restaurant is in the back of a strip mall. Small location with about 10-12 tables. When we arrived, there were only two other tables being served. Tables are dressed in plastic table cloths, all plates and bowls are plastic and the decor was a bit worn. This was an initial turn off. When I asked about the sashimi variety, they had only four types of fish, one of those being tilapia. In all my years eating sushi around the world, I have never seen tilapia as a fish option in a sushi menu. This is a fresh water fish, earthy and good in fish tacos! We decided to only order rolls. The kitchen service was painfully slow, we waited over 45 minutes for our rolls to be prepared. We were extremely dissappointed: the rice was overcooked, the rolls were falling appart and they were all bland. Although the staff seems to be of Japanese heritage, the sushi culture for excellence in raw materials, preparation and presentation were completely missing in this restaurant. But then again, it was a Monday night.

Let's face it: no one goes to a chinese restaurant expecting the most sophisticated ambiance, or excellent service...but this took it to a different level, in the opposite direction. There were lamb sounds coming from the speakers... makes you wonder what goes on in the kitchen. Our plastic tablecloth had suspicious holes in them and the wall colors would make anyone question their eyesight. But beyond the bleak decor, the food was awful. My kids had the fried rice, and it was served in cold, clumpy lumps witht he occasional warm section. That just spelled "microwave" to anyone familiar with ramen noodles gone wrong. I ordered the singapore noodles, which were al dente (this is a chinese place, al dente has no place here), and the gyozas/wontons were stiff and fried in some places (enough said). The waitress couldn't understand us (think a cross between Seinfeld and Big Bang Theory), and we got everything out of order and in turns. The bill was a whopping $70 for 4 people. That just about wraps up the worst chinese food experience ever.

Service stinks and food is average. Been here 2x, second time was with groupon (forgot I didn't like it the first time) Both times we were the only people in the place. Hmm.. I wonder why. I went for dinner both times, the 2nd time was because I accidentally bought a Groupon and forgot the name of the place. Ughh. The waitress got our order wrong and seemed disinterested in correcting the problem. The food is a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Bland and poor quality. The decor is pretty bad too. Plastic booths and table cloths. Menus very beat up. I would not recommend.

Very upset so we all got up and left behind 4 other tables that did the same thing . And it was very hot In there.. Not only do they not have enough staff but Maybe they don't use A/C either . Would not recommend going there on a weekend or when they are busy bc u will starve

This review is for their Chinese food not their sushi! The Sesame and the sweet and sour chicken were pretty darn good and very fresh! Their fried rice was ok, it wasn't super tasty but it was edible. The good thing about their fried rice is that it wasn't greasy at all! My biggest complaint about their fried rice is that they don't add egg, peas, carrots, celery or brussel sprouts! It's very plain and I like all the extras that should be on Chinese fried rice! delivery was late, about 50 mins wait. Will I order from them again? yes, i would until I find something better.

Went there on a Saturday night. We were the only ones there besides one other table, already a bad sign. From the outside, it appeared closed and you can't see in. I ordered green tea and it was cold. Tea pot looked old and the place inside looked outdated. Ordered sushi since they are a sushi restaurant but immediately had regrets. When the sushi came it was not good. The crazy roll which is normally really good was filled with fish skins, which I took out. This was the first time I ever took apart my sushi. The other roll was bland and plain. The other order was chicken broccoli with rice. It was bland and smelled funny. Even the fortune cookies were stale. All around bad experience. Will not return.

I attempted to use my Groupon today November 27, 2011 the final day of expiration and they (an Asian male) would not allow me to do so stating that they had too many customers present the coupon today, the last day and that the coupon expired at midnight last night. That is not the case as the coupon is valid until 12 midnight on the day of expiration. They wanted me to pay $15 toward my total bill which was $29 and change. I refused and left the establishment. I have the receipt from the restaurant which shows how much the total amount was and also shows the date and time we were at the restaurant. By the way, the server had a terrible, negative attitude and the sushi was very, very poor (dry) the worst I have ever had. WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND WESTON SUSHI AND GRILL TO ANYONE!!!!!

Used my groupon and loved this place. We have returned weekly since then. I had the lobster roll at my first visit and it was huge and delicious. My daughter had the ebi shumai and loved it. They do lots of take out. Give this place a try.

Best Dragon Roll I've ever had. I've gotten a Dragon Roll from nearly every common sushi place in South Florida and this one is hands down, number one. With 30 for 15 groupon it's a steal.

For a local sushi place it was very quick and the sushi was solid solid. I'm always worried about eating in Chinese restaurants, nonetheless sushi and I felt completely calm here. Will definitely be back.

I used to live a couple miles away from this place. I tried it about 10 years ago for the first time (back then I was in high school). Ever since I have always gone back. OI currently live in the Gables and every time go to Weston to visit friends and family I try to stop here for food. I have probably tried every good sushi restaurant in South Florida and this is one of the best. The place is not good looking, but the food is awesome. If you enjoy good japanese or chinese food... you gotta go here. Best roll? Colombian Roll Others: Venezuelan Roll, Seafood Handroll
