My take-out experience at Crispers this week was not good. I've come here many times over the past few years, and this is my first bad experience. The 2nd star is for prior visits that I enjoyed, otherwise this review is a 1. On a normal visit, I would probably give a 4. I called in my takeout order for a small summer salad during the lunch rush and was told 10-15 minutes. That's normal, but it's never taken more than 10 minutes when I order this salad to go. 25 minutes later my small salad was ready. I usually love the summer salad. It's a colorful mix of greens with strawberries, mandarin oranges, apples, crumbled Gorgonzola and candied pecans. The herb citrus vinaigrette it comes with is light and refreshing. I order it both with and without the smoked turkey depending on my mood. On this day about 20% of the greens of the salad were on the rotten side. It was like the salad maker put the bad greens in the bottom and then piled ok stuff on top. I tried to pull those parts out, but actually spit some out after taking a bite and tasting slimy, rotten lettuce. Yuck. Moreover, a couple of hours later, I was pretty ill. Not fun at work on a busy afternoon. I hope Crispers just had a really bad day on Monday. This salad never should have made it out of the kitchen. Poor employee performance and poor management on this day.

This place used to be so good, but ever since the new management took over it went downhill :-( Service is slow, food comes out not as ordered. I hope they change back soon or I will have to stop coming here.

I wish the excellent food made up for the incredibly mediocre service. We waited 25 minutes for one and a half sandwiches and a side salad. There were 3 people total in the restaurant but they still could not manage to get the food out in a timely manner. I had to go up and see what the problem was. When we received said food, our hot sandwiches were cold, and I had to take them back again. Just a bad experience, but the food was good. Turkey Cranwich and margherita flat bread salad were great.

Ive been a regular here since they opened but I refuse to come back after this evening's visit. This is the first time I've had a complaint about them, but that's all it takes for me not to ever go back! The guy who took my order was a complete igit - incompetent, lacking any type of personality, couldnt figure out the change (Bill was $10.05, I gave him $20.10 so I would get a $10 back and nickle.. that was too hard for him to figure out), didnt take my rewards card, didnt give me receipt, didnt give me glass for ice water, copped attitude when I had to ask him again for that...then when the chic (Sammie) brought me my food, she forgot part of it and then acted like it was a big inconvenience for her to go back inside to go get it and bring it outside where I was sitting. She then brought back the wrong item! Copped a major attitude when I told her that it wasn't what i ordered and to bring the right item...Sent her back in to get right item and when she brought it to my table she tossed it on the table and stormed off. The foods good but the service sucks big time...so I wont be going back there again!

I was at Crispers today for lunch and it was an awful experience. I still have my receipt and I ordered a chicken sandwich and a smoothie, after waiting for thirty minutes I asked politely for help and a gentlemen helped me and I had my food within five minutes, he then asked if I received my large smoothie yet, and I said no so he proceeded to make the smoothie and it took about sixty seconds, the smoothie was not a large smoothie and I asked him about it and he said he gave me what I ordered and asked if I would like a cookie or something for my waiting time. The food here has always been good, and generally pretty fresh but I was coming on a lunch break and i value my time. I would have asked for a refund but I did not even have time for that. I asked a lady if it was generally this long of a wait and she said no. I do plan on giving this location another chance because I do understand these types of things happen however if it is even close to the same I will not be returning.

I've driven by Crispers many many times, but only just now decided to give it a try - and I'm so glad I did. Crispers is very much like Panera, except much better prices. The superfood Salad is amazing, anything can be made vegetarian, which I love. The soups are tasty and the kids meals are great. The other day I had a sandwich and there wasn't a crumb left on my plate. The one bad thing I have to say though - service is SO slow. The most recent time I went there on a Saturday afternoon at 3, the place was near empty and I think I waited for my food at the very least 10 minutes - too long for a place like that in my opinion. All other times I was equally unimpressed with the speed of the food coming out.

My boyfriend suggested this place for lunch and I'm all for trying new things so I said why not... One of the better choices I've made this week! Crispers is most easily compared to Panera Bread, but by far way better in my opinion. (food and price wise) I chose the pick-two with a chicken caesar and a bowl of chicken noodle. The serving size is definitely not lacking and the food was really good in quality. My boyfriend had the large Southwest salad and wasn't even able to finish it (and he eats like a horse). I enjoy the fact that they offer multiples desserts too! Definitely have to try a sandwich next time.

Doesn't matter how good the food is. The wait time is ridiculous. 27 minutes to get our food.

We used to go to Crispers often when my daughter was younger. In fact, she was a lettuce head member. Today I've decided I would never go back. Every single table was dirty. My husband actually cleaned off a table for us. I watched the girl that delivers the food to your table clean off tables with the same gloves!!!! Are you kidding me? If that's what's happening in front of you I don't even want to know what's happening behind the scenes. It was a huge disappointment. Too bad b/c the food is surprisingly good.

This place needs to re-train all of their employees starting from the top down. My wife and I have sworn off this place and every time we give it another chance, they screw it up again. The food is fine. We like the salads, but the people preparing the salads have no idea how to make their own salads. This is going on 4 times in a row this year. They consistently forget to include items into their salads that are supposed to be in it. Sometimes forgetting 4 or 5 items. And any time we add items, it gets even worse. And if they run out of an item, they just leave it out and don't tell you about it. I even added avocado to my wife's salad, which costs $1 and they didn't put it in there. I have to check before leaving now because I know something will be wrong and I mentioned the avocado and the girl at the cashier just laughs and says "oops" and then goes back to the kitchen and it takes about 15 minutes to get the avocado and the gorgonzola, which they also forgot. Finally, she brings over two side containers with a few tiny pieces of avocado. I should have asked for a manager at that point, but one time when I called, the manager used the excuse that I ordered "weird" salads because I added too many things, in her opinion. So I just left. When I got home and we ate our salads, the avocado was incredibly unripe. I am guessing they just didn't have any ripe avocados so they left them out hoping we wouldn't notice and when I did notice, they just put together as many pieces of avocado that were as close to being ripe as they could get. I should also mention that during this same visit, they didn't include the tortilla with the salads and when I mentioned it to the cashier, she laughed and said "we are out of them... umm... is there anything else I can give you free? Maybe some more grape tomato?" Needless to say, we are finally giving up on this place for good. It's too bad because the salads aren't bad... but it's too much work to have to tell them how to make their own salads. Unless they get new managers that actually care, then Crispers is out of our rotation.

Oh Em GEE. love Crispers. All of their soups taste delicious, fresh & home made. My favorite is Tomato Bisque. They have a good selection of flatbreads & sandwiches. I like the Asian flatbread. Overall its great except for that one time that my Aoli sauce was rancid. ew.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Crispers. Well, first off I actually expected chicken crispers (of which there were none). Then I checked out the menu and saw that it was pretty simple but it all sounded good. I went w the Asiago beef sandwich and loaded potato soup. Both were really yummy. The young man bussing tables was very attentive. The place was clean. No complaints. It reminds me a lot of Panera w a simpler menu. I'll return and try new items!

I've been generally happy with everything I have ordered from this place over the years. I absolutely love the French dip sandwich. There is something terribly addicting about the horseradish sauce (it should be served with a side of tissues, it will clear your sinuses!) and the au jus is so good I usually just drink whatever is left over. I like the kettle cooked chips. Today I tried the chocolate chip cookies and they were awesome.

I'm a sucker for a good sandwich, so it's no surprise that I'm a Crispers fan. It's fast, easy, tasty, and you always know what to expect. I visited again this past weekend and was reminded of how much I enjoy it here. Crispers is run by Publix, so you can expect slightly smaller versions of their hot and cold subs here, along with salads, flatbread pizzas, and desserts. The store is very clean and decorated in cool Florida-style pastels with plenty of booths, tables, and bar tables for seating. The service style is similar to most fast casual places: order at the counter, they give you a number, and they deliver your food to your table. They also have a dedicated take-out counter on the side of the restaurant. My personal favorites here are the club sandwich and the smoked turkey delight. You can ask them to substitute different kind of cheeses and add and delete toppings without any problem. All the sandwiches come with a side of chips too. The sandwiches aren't the meatiest, but they are Publix so you know there's quality and consistency there. Cons: it's kind of pricey for what you get (~$7 for a full sandwich, ~$6 for a half), but I usually get the whole and make two meals out of it so I'm not too bothered by it. Second, the wait to receive your food is often pretty long. I don't mind the wait if I'm eating in, but for take-out it can get pretty frustrating. Writing the cons down, it seems like a lot, but I just can't help having an affection for this place. I wish there was a Crispers near my house, I'd be there for a quick lunch all the time!

Gotta be honest. Everything I've had there is great. I love the chicken cesar wrap and the blackened chicken club flatbread. I've had their salads and sandwiches to which are always fresh and I never wait long for my food. The staff is always friendly too. I read the people here complaining and feel sorry for them. Maybe I just have better luck than they do.

I have been here a few times. It is never a great experience. You can get a decent sandwich/wrap here, but not much else is worth the price or hassle. Because I always wait too long for my food and I was bringing my toddler, I thought this time I would order online and eat in the restaurant. The online ordering was easy enough and I had the option of paying online or in the store. Again- I was disappointed in various things about my experience. 1. When I got to the restaurant, I waited 10 minutes to pick up my order which was sitting on the counter behind the register. 2. I had written in the special instructions to plate my food, because I was eating in the restaurant. It was not plated and the girl told me that it is just habit for her so she did not put it on a plate. 3. I had asked for baked chips instead of the awful Cape Cod chips they always give. I got the Cape Cod chips. This is an easy fix, but why should I have to fix it? I specifically checked the baked chips box on the online order form. My friends arrived when I did and it took 20 minutes for them to receive their food. One order arrived 30 minutes later. I had the Caesar Chicken Wrap. This is by far the best sandwich/ wrap I have eaten at Crispers. In the past I have tried the sliders, flatbread and soups. I am always disappointed in the flatbreads but never in the chicken Crisp Wrap.

I love this place! I ordered from the "Trios" and I had a blackened chicken salad, butternut squash soup, and the turkey burger. Everything was delicious! My boyfriend and I wanted to eat something healthy tonight so that we won't feel guilty in the morning and this was definitely a meal I won't feel guilty about. The soup has a wonderful taste that brought me back to the days when I lived in Minnesota and a warm soup always hit the spot. The turkey burger was juicy and very tasty. I ordered mine with pepper jack cheese and on a wheat bun. It was amazing. My salad was very good considering it was just blackened chicken and some lettuce. Whenever I want something yummy and healthy, Crispers always hits the spot and never disappoints!

Bye bye Panera! U've been great, i just got bored of u... :( seriously, my go to quick lunch spot now- Crispers!!! Menu is huge!Service is great, no lines! I had crab stack- very light and refreshing, loved that crispy bread it came with! and vegetable soup was amazing- better then Panera's... AND they give normal big cup for water! Not like that tiny baby sized at Panera

This may be one of my new favorite lunch spots. I didn't give 4 stars because the food isn't 'amazing' by any means, but it is one of the better sandwich/soup/salad joints I've been too. Definitely prefer it to quizno's or panera as they have a wider selection to choose from and their ingredients are extremely fresh. I had a half southwestern chicken sandwich which was good, but what stole my attention was my butternut squash soup. Delish! It was a bit salty, so if you suffer from high blood pressure-BEWARE. Fortunately for me, I need to bump mine up and found the perfect meal to do so with :)

My roommate and I headed here for dinner after the place we wanted to go was found to be closed on Sundays, and I truly wish I had just sat outside the other restaurant and stared at the window. It would have been more satisfying. When we went in, I first noticed that the restaurant was very clean and brightly decorated. Good so far. I had a Foursquare check-in special for a free fountain drink -- also good! However, that's where it ends. When I went to the beverage area, a large spill was on the floor with a caution cone over it. It didn't look like anyone had bothered to do anything but put the sign there, and it was still there about half an hour later when I went for a refill. I soon found out the cashier put the wrong number on my receipt, so my roommate got her food a bit before I did and all I got was a confused server. When I did get my food, I remarked, "For $8, I'd expect a larger portion. Or maybe I'm just fat." My roommate responded, "I think you're right." Not sure which part of that statement she was agreeing with. My Southwest Chicken sandwich left something to be desired. It was not particularly hot, and the chips served on the side were much too salty for my liking. My roommate has a cold so her taste buds are not fully functional, but she said, "There's something about this I know I wouldn't like if I could taste it" about her Chicken Caesar Wrap. After thorough deliberation, she settled the matter and decided there was way too much Parmesan. Bottom line, we will not be coming here again.

I ordered the veggie bistro sandwich and it came with no pesto sauce. I called and inquired why I received a sandwich without everything - they said they ran out and failed to tell me when the order was placed and when it was picked up. Also ordered their new harvest veggie soup and it was very bland as well. The staff seem to have problems with their take out orders as we have tried in the past but have come across mistakes consistently. Other things available on the menu are decent enough, I just havent come across anything to make this place a top choice for lunch.

Love waking up on a saturday morning around 10:00 to grab Crisper's to go before going on a boating venture. The location is perfect and their variety of Flatbread, Sandwhichs, Salads, and Soups are amazing!

Butternut squash soup, can I say this again? Butternut squash soup! Very good! The Greek salad isn't. Ad either. Sweet workers with efficiency. Quick lunch. Could crispers be better than Panera bread? Hmmm...maybe :)

So far so good. The caribbean salad was great. I've always wanted to stop in but never did. They're soup is great also. Just watch out for the sodium in their food. I'll be sticking to the salad. The location is nice and it's always nice and calm.

I had heard about Crispers from others and was excited to try it finally. Well, upon entry into the store I saw many eating and a huge dining area and an open kitchen. The menu selections were great. I opted for a trio of small items as I enjoy variety. Asian salad, Beef Slider, and baked potato. I eat my entire baked potatoes to get the nutrients in the skin. I was given a real fork to use, yeah! Now I needed a knife. :-( I looked around all the stations at my access, no cutlery! So I asked for a knife. I was finally given a to-go pack of cutlery enclosed in plastic with a napkin. I was shocked. Literally. This lunch was small and not on the cheap side and I wasted a good at least 10mins asking for a knife. Smh- potato was small just right size. The salad had turkey on it. It needed to be cut too. The peanut dressing was tasty, but not a true Thai dressing. Oh well. The slider, this was inside a hockey puck bun. The meat looked like a tiny sausage patty. It was suppose to have sauce on it, lettuce, tomato and a sauce with Swiss cheese. I didn't even taste the meat as I lost my appetite because the beef was white and as thin as my lettuce. Disappointed needless to say. Mystery meat! Soda, was full of flavor! Yeah! Someone else mentioned this; many Dirty tables!! We had to wipe off our own table to eat. This place wasn't slammed just nicely busy, not overwhelmed. So what the heck was the deal??? The Manager was all over, but not sure what he was really doing. He piped up real quick a resounding "No" when I asked if they gave military discounts. I kinda wanted to ask for my head back the way he said it. Many don't offer but it doesn't hurt to ask. But he made me feel like I just really offended him. I don't know if he served but I did and loved it. I took a picture of the slider it's not the best as I moved a bit. I'm not sure I will eat here again. For 2 drinks and 2 trio meals it was almost $22.00. Bit costly honestly and leaving because I lost my appetite. I too saw at the end someone busing tables but saw no disinfectant to clean. Yuk! Yuk!

I use to love coming to Crispers! Well, after my experience tonight made me not want to come here again. I got my sandwich and the meat is completely cold! When I asked the gentleman for a new hot sandwich, he reported back to his manager. A moment later the manager threw a bucket of money at the gentlemen who served my food previously. Then the manager and employee made the environment completely inappropriate and uncomfortable. Yelling vulgar words across the restaurant. I actually came to crispers with one of my church sisters from South Korea. Needless to say, she didn't enjoy her experience there.

I usually give any place known for soups, salads, and sandwiches an automatic 3 stars because well, I love soups, salads, and sandwiches. And how can you really ever mess all three up? I love crispers when I am looking for a light but tasty meal. This is a majorly delayed review, so I can't even tell you what I ordered in the past, but I know I enjoy it every time. It's not just the food, the atmosphere is super cute and open for people coming alone or with others. The place is always pretty empty when I go, which I know sounds bad, but how I like it. I don't feel cramped like at Panera Bread where I have to fight for a booth just to hear someone's convo 2 feet away. Crispers really has a variety of food to conquer anyone's pickiness. So thanks crispers, for being so cute and always available for when I want peace and quiet. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I hate giving chains 5 stars, I know.. It's bitchy of me.. I know.

  • Matthew P.

I give this place three stars and not four simply because the tables are dirty. They offer abundant seating but you have to be lucky to check if they bussed the table you wanted to sit at. Great place for what it is: light food in soups, salads and sandwiches. If they have someone keeping up with the tables, this place could be even more popular!

Normally I would not bother reviewing an establishment like this, because it's really like "hey there is no panera around, I guess I'll do crispers" but this particular location is worth mentioning. I've come here a bunch of times because the food is good and reasonably priced and they have a pretty extensive menu. You don't expect a 5 star meal or a production, just to enjoy your food and be in and out. However, I had a lunch date here with a girlfriend.. planning on a quick lunch and gossip sesh but for whatever reason, and despite placing our orders mare minutes apart, my food came out much earlier than hers did. We sat and waited for a good 10+ minutes before asking the closest employee if they could check on my friend's food. Turns out it was the manager. He was so nice and very apologetic, bringing her food out immediately following and coupons for the both of us for one free meal! I was so pleasantly surprised by this display of customer service!

Good food, good prices, friendly service. It's in an odd location (Davie?) so I don't see myself eating here often, but it was quite good. Summer salad had fresh greens, Gorgonzola, strawberries, mandarin oranges and candied nuts. The half portion was a nice size. Half a French Dip sandwich with hot au jus. $8.99. Soups looked great. I'll try it again if I'm in the area. If this were on US1 between Broward and Oakland Park, it would be a huge hit.

Great spot for lunch and something quick and healthy to eat. This location is clean and has a friendly staff. Management takes interest in your experience making sure your visit is pleasurable. I ordered the Signature Summer (without the chicken) salad and the Margherita flatbread. The salad was very delicious and flatbread was the perfect compliment.

One word makes this place great - SUBSTITUTIONS!!! I am probably one of the most pickiest salad eaters on the planet (no, like seriously) and I love this place because I can do things like 'no tomato, but add avocado' and best part is, for most of these swaps they don't charge!! Oh happy day! The one drawback is that during the week, (only reason not 5 stars) this place is PACKED during lunch - sometimes to the point where you have to wait for a seat. So bring your patience if you come between 12:30 and 1:30 Monday through Friday. Oh! If you want an order to go during their busy time, I highly recommend calling it in. In fact, one time I was waiting in line to place my 'to go' order so long that I called Crispers on my cel phone while standing in line and placed the order ahead of four people... hee hee :-)

I've been to this location a couple of times for lunch being it's located near my job. Both times I've taken out I have been happy w/ my food choice although the service could be better. There's not enough staff for the lunch hour rush therefore I always end up waiting 10-15 minutes for take-out that's ordered from my office. Because of the wait, the hot food tends to be cold by the time I arrive back in my office.

If it were closer to work I'd be a regular here. Who am I kidding this place is that good that I come here regardless. My favorite is the Southwest Chicken sandwich on whole grain bread. It's sliced chicken breast and the sauce is really good comes with baked chips. You can also get half a sandwich and soup/salad or all three. This place is definitely somewhere to check out. It does get busy at 12:15pm during the week try to get there sooner or just call in your order for pick up. The desserts are good also I recommend them all :). Thanks and enjoy.

Wow!! I love coming here when I'm up in Broward. They have an amazing soup selection, wraps, salads, flatbreads, and sandwiches. Everything sounded delicious and it was hard to make a choice. I decided to go for the new deal going on 1/2 size portions. You can mix and match items. I chose the loaded potato and Chicken Pecan side salad. I thought it was a real green salad but it was a scoop of the Chicken Pecan so I ate it with some crackers. My sisters ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap and a side soup Broccolli and Cheese I stuck my spoon in and helped myself very tasty as well, The wrap was not on the 1/2 deal. She also orded the Marqherita (thats how they spelled it flatbread it was really tasty. The meal was delicious and my potato soup was so good. I ordered a quart size to take home to my BF. He loved it and was asking where it was from. Very good place, clean, great service and the have lots of variety of fresh brewed ice teas. The desserts and coffee's looked amazing but we passed as we were FULL! Thanks Publix for an amazing place.

This place is great! They have a lot of choices. Salads, soups, sandwiches, flat breads. If you get a sandwich, you have several bread choices to choose from. the pumpernickel is great, and always tastes fresh. You order and pay, then receive a plastic # to attach to your table, and when your food is ready, they will find you and bring you the order. CONS: The drink situation is dicey. First of all, they have Pepsi...which is gross. But the other problem is that for some reason the Diet Pepsi is always out of order...and this is the only Diet soda choice. Lame. There is no readily available condiments such as hot sauce, mustard, ketchup. Very Veggie friendly!

If you are looking for a great lunch time place- Crispers is the spot. I have loved Crispers since I lived in Orlando. I could probably eat there everyday. They have a pretty decent size menu, which I have yet to try all of their items. My favorite is the southwest salad, cobb salad, and pretty much any of the sandwiches. If you are wondering why I gave it 4 stars, it is b/c they keep changing their menu and getting rid of some of my favorite items...such as their potato bacon soup, jambalaya soup, mushroom soup, chicken noodle soup, and italian wedding soup- those are all now gone. Also, they have gotten rid of some other items which I enjoy.

Great spot to go for a light lunch. in and out in less than an hour. even if you have 6 people with you. Yummy - french onion soup. simple. broth is great. - Tomato basil soup. very creamy. great with the crackers as opposed to with the croutons. OK: - French Dip sandwich. the meat with ok. juicy, but not seasoned well. the horesradish it came with was too overpowering. - loaded baked potato flat bread - it has gobs of mashed potato on top of it, along with typical baked potato fixin's... was an "interesting" combination... - thai chicken flatbread. more sweet than savory.

The is a sweet spot for lunch. Service is friendly, lunch is yummy and the place is clean. I've been going here for lunch for awhile. They have something for everyone on the menu. I've never had a complaint about this place. All the wraps and sandwiches for the most part are plentyful and good. You can also get a half sandwich and soup. The only done side to this yummyness, would be the nutrition. High calories in alot of stuff. But for a quick lunch and good food, check them out. I recommend, the ceaser wrap.

Great lunch spot. Tasty flatbreads and soups, great sandwiches both hot and cold, bottomless drinks, and free-wifi. They crank the AC way up, so it's nice to hang out here on a hot summer day. They have some good salad combo and other healthy options but they're not just salad and stuff. They have a good pulled pork sandwich and a decent french dip.
