There is a stench as soon as you walk in. We were seated towards the back and the stench would come and go. I couldnt stand to eat there knowing my food could be the source of that stench so we walked out. How is the health department not looking into this???

Olive Garden many have tried this food and restaurant before. As far as the one by my house i can say they have great service and amazing staff. The food is always fresh and tasty. The best soup in town! Chicken Gnocchi Soup wow!! this is next to godly! My Fav plate here is the Tour of Italy you get a little of everything they have and satisfies the Italian craving. Overall as far as a commercialized Italian restaurant this one sits pretty well on my list.

I was happy with my visit here. Great atmosphere, busy for lunch but great service. Nice job by Mercedes D. Good table manners and situational awareness in here section. We ordered two strawberry passion fruit drinks, courtesy of Mercedes' suggestion and they were phenomenal. We also ordered shrimp scampi fritta and pizzaiola flatbread. They were both very tasty. The service was fast, great decor and ambience...and most importantly, great service. I'll be back!

So, my mother and I went during lunch and the service was HORRENDOUS. My waiter wasn't really attentive, we were seated without silverware so when I asked the waiter for the silverware she agreed and told another waitress to do it, I'm assuming she was busy?. When the waitress came who was asked to give us silverware she came, literally threw the silverware on the table, and stormed off! At that, she gave us PLASTIC silverware that are used for to-go orders. Of Course , I called the manager over and she pleaded with us to stay but I refused to sit there and pay for food with that type of service. They left a really bad taste in my mouth and I will NEVER go to the Olive Garden in Cutler Bay again.

I don't know how to say this nicely, but this Olive Garden was a bit on the ghetto side. I guess it has something to do with the area? It was also so loud, I could not carry much of a conversation with a friend. We decided to get the 2 for $25 deal, which comes with unlimited salad and bread, and each of you gets to choose an entree and you share a dessert. I liked the idea of unlimited salad, since I'm trying to lose weight, but the only problem was, we only got 1 bowl of salad. What's the deal? Same with the bread. Did I have to ask for more? In my opinion, the server should ask if you want more considering you're paying for unlimited salad, rather than taking the bowl away and never bringing another bowl, or more bread and never asking. That was disappointing! I felt like she could have been more attentive. She was friendly, just not proactive. They got my friend's drink wrong so the waitress placed the incorrect drink on the ledge above his head where there was a fake plant. In the meantime, the waitress did not refill my drink and I was thirsty so I said screw it, and asked my friend to pass me the lonely drink by the plant. A bit sad that I had to resort to such desperate measures. He wondered if it might have gathered dust sitting there but I was about to hit the restroom fountain because I was THAT thirsty and told him to keep me in the dark. Again, more attention to the customer is needed. The food was ok, nothing remarkable. The dessert was very rich and chocolatey, I'll give them that. I don't know if I will be back, honestly. if it were up to me, I'd tell my friend to choose another dining location. I don't go down to this area very much and if I do, next time I'll hit Applebee's or Stir Moon (yes, apparently the famous "Moon" chain of restaurants across UM has opened a Southland mall (formerly known as Cutler Ridge mall) location, which is where this Olive Garden is located).

We've been to this location twice. First time on Veterans' day and tonight since it was Parents' Night out even with My Gym where we left our son to play for a few hours and Olive Garden reimburses them, which means we didn't have to pay the gym. Veterans' day was hectic but the wait time killed it for us because we were in a hurry and our son starts acting like a little hurricane. Tonight was way better than expected. We got a nice and efficient server who was on point. We were in and out in less than an hour. Got our salad/bread sticks, then an order of hummus and meatballs followed by our meal. I had the chicken Parmesan with now pasta and vegetables. Amazing! So delicious. Hubby had the spaghetti and it was well, just like any other spaghetti. We got a dressing to go. So yummy and only $6. We simply love Olive Garden. You can't go wrong with their creamy, saucy, tasty pastas. One of my favs is the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Love love. At this location I'd ask for Serena.

Compared to other Olive Garden restaurants, we are always seated faster, given more attention/help and served more quickly. The food is always great and if there is ever a problem the staff is quick to fix it. The portions are generous, I always have leftovers. I have yet to try a plate I didn't like. I especially like that it's not crowded.

This is by far my most disliked restaurant and if you think it's good you are wrong. I was forced to take my mother in law for her birthday. Bland and crappy food for everyone. Hooray. My 9 yo order the Mac and cheese which he orders at every restaurant he goes to. He took one bite and looked sadly at me and asked "do I have to finish this"? I tried it and it tasted like cardboard and was mushy.......how do you mess up Mac and cheese. My 15 yo ordered a cheese pizza. He took three bites before he said I'll just eat something later, my wife's food was horrible. Over cooked chicken with bland sauce. I ordered the tour of Italy which should be renamed slums of Italy. It is horrible, horrible horrible. They should be sued by any Italian who knows what real food is. This place is the Denny's of Italian food. Belch.

Had lunch here, we had shrimp alfredo and salad with of course breadsticks...lol, the salad was great as usual, however our entrée seemed like it was left under a heat lamp for at least ten minutes, when the plate is hotter than the food, that's how you know, or the crustiness of the parmesan sprinkled on top was brown.... it wasn't that busy either, so don't know what to say other than they need to have someone running food from the kitchen to prevent that from happening.

I have been to Olive Garden many times in many different locations throughout my life and I have to say this has been the worst experience. The food was okay, like always, and the service was awful. I mostly come for the salad and soup and a drink. I've had there Italian margarita many times and this time it was bad. The server barely went to my table she didn't tell me her name or offered any wine. So I asked if I could just have a decaf coffee instead my server was fine about it but then comes another server gives me the coffee and almost throws it at me and gives me the check. I didn't ask for the check and that another server comes and gives an attitude. Oh and by the way I'm a server at a fine dinning restaurant in north Miami beach and I've been a server for many years. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to do so because this was awful. Service makes the difference when you go out and eat.

What horrible service! We were a table of eight on a Tuesday night at 6 so the place was not really busy when we started getting there. Our party was a little staggered in coming. It took forever for someone to notice I was there. About 15 min of sitting there our waitress came over and got my drink order. It took another 15 min to get my glass of wine. Forget getting water. I never got my soup before my meal. Our table was never cleared. We had two in our party that came late and they had to eat their meal surrounded by dirty plates and glasses. I ordered a second glass of wine...forget that. I never got it. By the time we left the wait line was very long but it did not seem like they were in a hurry at all to turn our table around. My first time...my last time.

We were very HAPPY with our visit here, it was a family dinner for my sisters bday.. Starting with the bar, RICK was awesome as he entertained my aunt, husband and myself as we talked about beer and wines. And as for our waitress SERENA she was great, we were a party of 13 and she was on point with everything. All I can say is THANK YOU, you guys made our visit here amazing!!!

We enjoyed eating here. The food and the service is good. The portions are so big we always end up taking the leftover.

I'm a fan of Olive Gardens house wines! They are surprisingly amazing! always have quick and easy service... The quality of food has drastically increased since they have remodeled most locations in Miami. The Cutler Bay location is usually great atmosphere with knowledgeable serves willing to please... can't complain about any of the times I've visited. Also the menu options are competitive in price and allow for dining out to be inexpensive yet fulfilling.

My family comes here at least once a week. We've gotten to know all the servers, so we choose who we want to serve us when we visit. Ask for Jennifer or Jose at dinner time. Today we tried one of the limited seasonal dishes and it was good, a large portion at that. It's a chain italian restaurant, so expect chain restaurant food. It's good food at an good price. The atmosphere is casual, but fun. The have new managers now, so stop in and order something!

I was invited here to celebrate a family members birthday dinner here , what a joke. This is a bottom of the food chain Italian. Our food was salty and lacked any other flavor. I ordered french fries for my kids, server says " we are Italian we don't serve french fries" what? Most restaurants I go to have a french fries option. The salad was fresh, the pasta sauces well that depends on your personal preference. Will not return. Always packed why? No idea

The quality of the food is good as always. Great Olive Garden quality as usual but compared to other locations portions were no as good as usual.

I called to to place an order & the employee that answered the phone put the phone down & forgot to return back to the phone. I was on the line for 12 minutes, once I arrived at the restaurant I asked for the manager & I spoke with Martika, I showed her that the phone line was still open from my phone, She insisted that their experiencing land line issues, meanwhile I heard the employees conversations about someone graduating. Bottom line....stay away from this place, the costomer service sucks!

I expect so much more from this chain of restaurants. Being a true fan of Olive Garden, I visit the place at least once a month. They always have great, great food for a very good price. Out of all the times I've gone, there's either no wait or very short wait, which is great. The staff is usually very friendly, too. I went for my birthday and the waitress sang and brought me this little sweet, which was a nice thing to do. The good thing is that she was genuinely nice. Now, here's the reason this specific place doesn't get 5 stars. 1 star is lost because the staff is never attentive enough. They never ask you if you want more bread (which is unlimited!) and instead you have to ask. They never ask if you want more salad or soup (unlimited, too), either. Many times they disappear for a while and I have to ask another waitress for a drink. This is kind of embarrassing. Furthermore, another star is lost because the quality of the food is not as good as it should be and because, (I guess because of the location), it is very difficult to keep a conversation going because everyone is too loud. Definitely don't go here if you are looking for a more formal lunch or dinner with someone! Improve these aspects and I'll change my review :)

So I went to this Olive Garden because it's the closest one to my house. They explained a promotion that they are having and I misunderstood and ordered the wrong thing. When I got there, even though it was my fault, they worked very quickly to correct the order. In a city where a D+ or C- in customer service seems to be the norm, thank God for Olive Garden who still loves their customers.

Seems to me like they're aiming for mediocrity ...and not quite achieving it. At an early lunch with my friend last week, I ordered the Shrimp Scampi Frita appetizer. Not a baaad flavor..and sufficiently warm though it did take an inordinately long time to arrive, and still, the butter sauce on it was congealed. I scraped off the solidified sauce and ate around it. Decent sized portion but not something I'd order again. My friends Chicken Parmesan was inedibly salty. The very nice manager , Chip came over quickly said they do not use any salt in the sauce but... the patties come already portion-packed and breaded from the (I guess) Olive Garden commissary already very salty. He offered another dish and my friend ordered eggplant parmesan. My first reaction was, 'can they spare it? It consisted of a (approx.) 1/4 inch slice of a medium eggplant, maaaybe 4 inches across and another piece half that size partially hiding underneath. She did enjoy her soup and I'd like to say the bread sticks were fabulous but they were not any different from packaged reheated or frozen ones from Publix. I've previously enjoyed the Olive Garden on Flagler Street. It shouldn't be confused with fine dining , more like the McDonald's of Italian leaning -restaurants. For me, anyway it' has always been consistently and predictably decent. I also hear that the test site for new dishes is the Homestead store. Good to know.

Went to Olive Garden today with my best friend. We have always had outstanding service with very attentive servers. Perhaps today was an off day for our waitress Franchon B. but she did not smile, was not friendly, and was not aware of the $5.00 coupon offer from e-mail. She asked her manager about the offer and he came to get the code from my phone. She was slow at coming back to our table to ask if we wanted anything else and never came back to get final payment after gratuity so we left. My best friend was on her lunch hour and we just didn't have time to wait. I am not sure what is going on in this restaurant but the service and overall friendliness was just not there.

The Olive Garden in Homestead is WAAAYYYYY better than this one. Be it that my server was nice the service was EXTREMELY slow and my food was cold when brought out. I don't think I will come back to this one. Tighten up over there

My husband and I went to this Olive Garden on 11/3/14. We had an excellent minestrone soup, a delicious all-you-can-eat salad with bread sticks, a marvelous fettuccine Alfredo, and for the first time ever we tried a bottle of "Angry Orchard" (it was awesome!). For dessert we had a delectable lemon cream cake. To top it all off, John L. was our server, and he was the best! He had a pleasant personality, answered all our questions, explained many menu items to us, and when we were undecided he gave us invaluable insight that helped us make up our minds. We'll be back and will ask for John L.!

Sad to see the other reviewers have had such bad experiences here already! Went to this location for the first time the other night, and all I could think was "Wow...This place is a GOLD MINE!" It was Saturday around 6pm. It was PACKED. We put ourselves down for a party of 10 and were told the wait was going to be between 1 and 1/2 hours...admittedly a very long wait, but it WAS Saturday and it WAS dinnertime so if we just kept hopping around trying to find a less crowded restaurant in the area, we would have wasted the same amount of time. So we waited. About 35 minutes later, we were seated! Expectations exceeded! Good job, Olive Garden! Service was great, especially for such a large party on such a busy day...The only blip was that they forgot to put dressing on the side for a few at the table who didn't want dressing on their salad. But they made up for it and brought out another one sans dressing. I love Olive Garden...Sure it's not the fanciest nor most authentic Italian place...But where else can I eat my weight in delicious salad and breadsticks while I wait for my very affordable and yummy Portobello Mushroom ravioli?? Nowhere, that's where! Glad they're making a resurgence! It'd be awesome if they opened one in Kendall!

I love Olive Garden for many reasons one because of how nice the restaurant is,Second very clean especially the bathrooms are clean as well and Third because of their great Italian food.I ordered a Sausage Pizza and salad and it was great loved it

Food was the same as you would get at any Olive Garden chain. The inside is very small and does not seat as many people as you would think. This in turn causes long wait times durring times. We almost left for another Olive Garden that's 15 minutes away because we new we would be seated sooner. I also noticed a guy waiting for his table walked up to the bar to order a beer while he waited. After 15 minutes of them not taking his order he just left.

Went back this past Saturday for the never ending pasta bowl specials. This time there was no wait time, which was great. Our server was not attentive at all, will fly by while asking how is everything. I understand that they have other customers but they need to take their time. Never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. Food was okay but sometimes the food can be great and the service is what kills it.

I'm siding with the majority of folks here and giving this place the pass the next time. We went here for a friends birthday and it was a party of 9 on a Tuesday night. We got there and were told about 45 minute wait which is fine for a large party. They finally seat us but its in a clear section of the restaurant... so you made us wait to sit us where no one has been sitting before? No way there was either A.) a larger group sitting there prior (I had been waiting I would have seen them walk out) or B). couldnt make the table arrangement work with groups sitting in that spot. so after that we put in drink orders and appetizers. I got water with lemon. All the drinks that were non-alcoholic came out, with the announcement that all the other drink orders are at the bar being processed... wait my water needs to be processed but the lemmonades and teas were good to go? hmmm getting shady.. Took forever to get our servers back to deserted island just to put in our dinner order...and to get our salad and breadsticks. By the time we got them we inhaled them becuase they made us wait so long. Before they left dropping off the bread I quickly saw the oportunity to place another round of bread orders which still took forever. Dinner finally came out after finishing the second round of bread 20 mins later...and one of the dishes wasn't put in.My raviolis were luke warm and kind of congealed.... my boyfriends pasta had way too much sauce. After that I asked for the checks which again took 10 minutes. At this point we were the only group left in olive garden. How hard is it to print the only open bills left? Long story short- dont go with a group of more than 2 and you might be ok. if not enjoy eating your arm because the wait staff really stick to their name and make you WAIT for everything.

If you're like me, you love Olive Garden. The thought of the pseudo Italian food with "Italian cheeses" excites you. If you live in South Florida specifically Miami Dade you know there are only two locations (Mall of the Americas and Homestead) and they are always packed. So, when I saw a location was opening up in my neighborhood of Cutler Bay I got excited. I knew there was going to be a wait but it was worth it. I've gone to this location twice now and both times the service, food, and management have been terrible. The servers are inexperienced and the management is nowhere to be found. The kitchen is Slow with a capital S. And when you do get your food it's cold or not what you ordered or it does not look like anything you've ever had at Olive Garden. There isn't any consistency. And NO ONE APOLOGIZES. If you order something they don't have or is not ready they'll just say "Uh we don't have that... you want something else?" It's a real take it or leave it attitude. As for me I'll leave it. I will not return to this location, I will drive the extra 15 minutes to the Homestead location where the service and food is not only consistent but great.

We love Olive Garden but the service at the new location was awful. Once we were seated it took more than two hours to get through dinner. Was very difficult to get our server's attention. Anything we asked for took real long time to take care of. Besides the slow motion service, we were totally amazed at one point when we finally got his attention and we handed him the dirty dinner plates to take away. He took them and Then said he had no place to put the dirty dishes and just handed the dirty dishes back to us to leave on the table in front of us. Kudos to the manager though. After we complained he apologized and comped our meal. Hope they get more experienced servers.

It seems that this place got a bad rap because of poor service...but I went recently and didn't really have a problem at all. This location just opened recently...and when a restaurant opens, they have new staff learning to cope with a new place of employment and new policies. It's understandable that when the restaurant first opens that the service might be slightly slow because the staff needs a little time to adjust. That being said, I waited to go until after a couple of months from the opening. The service was good, our beverages were promptly refilled, the food was good and the restaurant was clean. I don't know what more you can ask for.

While it is always busy we found that the food was way better at Sal's in Southland Mall. $25 deal is a waste for us since the items on that list are always filled with cheese and cream sauces. Really the only items I can safely eat are a few soups, the spaghetti with marinara sauce, and the calamari. Service can be very slow, tables are very close and hard to navigate and it can get very loud making conversation difficult.

Oh, Olive Garden. How could you have let me down so? Sigh... Well, here goes. The Cutler Ridge area has been graced with an Olive Garden. Cool. I love Olive Garden. The salad, the breadsticks, their pasta. All good stuff. Where did it go wrong? Well, their service leaves much to be desired. From staff and management. Things were going rather smoothly until our entrees were being served and my mother's dish was incorrect. It was explained to the runner and we expected for the dish to be working and out shortly. Instead our server returns to "argue" or prove that my mother actually ordered the other dish. I explained to her that I heard my mother clearly ask for the intended dish. She admits defeat and sulks away, begging apologies and doing whatever she was doing. 20 minutes go by and my entire family has been feeding her portions of our meal. At this point she's full. Finally, I just tell our server to cancel the dish. She brings it out anyway. We explain no one will eat it and we don't want to pay for it. You would think she'd say, "Well, lemme comp this for you and pack it up for later?" No. So she tells us the manager is going to stop by and talk to us. Ok. The manager talks to the table beside us instead. It was all rather comedic at this point. She finally makes it to our table and basically just says, "Sorry. Anything else we can do?" You'd think maybe she'd offer a dessert or take a percentage of the bill. No. So, the service was poor. Management was clueless. But at least the food was good. That's your only saving grace Olive Garden Cutler Ridge.

I usually enjoy dinning at Olive Gardens and decided to give the new one in the neighborhood a try. I was greatly disappointed by the service honestly reason being that the salad and food arrived about 3 minutes apart. We had to sit around waiting until they finally decided to bring it. I asked for a refill on a tea and it took over 15 minutes to bring it. I placed the order and my mother changed her mind so I asked the waitress can I change one of the order she said sure and they ended up bringing everything out. If she couldn't cancel she could had just said so from the beginning and they charged us for all of it. We ended up having to take the extra order home and she didn't bring a bag for it. I've been to plenty of Olive garden's and this new one honestly had the worse service out all of them. I don't want to seem rude but I rather drive to the other locations because I get better service. Well that's all folks and hope you get better service if you decide to come to this location.

This is not a new restaurant anymore. The service is still slow. We had to ask the waitperson 3 time for water. You should not have to even ASK for water when you order an alcoholic beverage. The breadsticks came out as soon as the waitperson came to take our drink order. That tells me she knows food/or she is slow. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms with our drink orders. It took long enough for the drinks, put in our dinner order and got our salad. The dinner order came before the appetizer so we told her to cancel the stuffed mushrooms. The dinner order should NEVER come before the appetizer! 10 minutes after in to the dinner someone comes by asking if this was the table for the stuffed mushrooms. NO! So I had the lasagna, chicken Parm. and Alfredo noodles. The Lasagna and chicken Parm. were yummy,. The noodels were undercooked. To their credit, at least the little mini deserts are delicious! Thus only 2 stars..... Drive to Macaroni Grill for better.

I visited this olive garden last night, I was excited since its a new store and I'm in the business. I sat at the bar with my mother in law. Our bartender said hi to us but never asked if we wanted to drink something or even gave us a menu to look at. He was really nice he just didn't have sense of urgency. Has a great personality cause made everyone smile when he was singing happy birthday to one of his guests but just needs training. The other bartender, a lady seemed to have experience but just didn't have the personality and was more worried of service bar than the guests. They were plates from the guest before next to me and they were never bussed. And even though the restaurant was on a 45 m wait they cut the servers at the bar area, now the bartender has to take those tables and we wait 20 minutes to pay. I have to say the food was good, I really enjoyed it. And I don't blame the team members but the managers for not walking around and making sure they could handle it. Hope it gets better. Good luck olive garden.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
