I loved the ambience of the restaurant, they are located in a nice plaza. We were greeted by a nice smiling employee who helped us decide what we were going to order. She gave us free samples of the sangria, and let me tell you the frozen sangria there is the bomb! I split the Cobb salad with my mother and we were both full and it was still half way full. I really enjoyed the great food, ambience, and price. Will be coming here often.

Lime happens to be a great fast-food Mexican option. It's significantly better than your Tijuana Flats or Chipolte. I usually order their Tijuana tacos which is pretty much a double-decker in Taco Bell talk. They have a huge assortment of hot sauces and a really good condiment bar. Again, superior to any other Mexican fast-food chain you're used to. Their prices aren't that cheap. And they sometimes skimp on tacos, I've noticed some inconsistencies. But overall, it's a great place to grab a quick bite. They place great music. It's clean inside. Service is always very friendly and helpful. Don't come here if you're looking for authentic Mexican. It's just a great place for lunch and quick dinner and it's definitely the best of it's kind. Their guacamole is great, their burritos are solid and tacos are just dandy. Once you lace it with whatever hot sauce you prefer it doesn't even matter.

Service is pretty fast during lunch time and that's whAt I need. I like the pineapple and cilantro salsa for the chips

Lime is a somewhat fancy sort of Mexican fast food restaurant in the Promenade mall. The food is OK, but not especially good. I would avoid the fish tacos. The fish was fried hard as a rock. The classical quesadilla was somewhat better. It wasn't anything resembling Mexican food, but it was tasty. The best thing about the place is sitting outside on a spring evening. The atmosphere is very nice. If, however, you want good Tex-Mex or similar in this neck of the woods, go to La Bamba at Sample Rd. and 441. Unfortunately, La Bamba does not have outdoor seating though. By the way, there is a nice atmosphere in general in the evening at the Promenade. The food may not be very good at any of the restaurants, and the prices are high in all of them (including Lime), but sitting outside in the evening is delectable and there are not many places around where you can do that. I wonder why there are so few?

I am not a chain diner but hit this today. Very pleasant surprise from the fish taco salad - try it with cabbage in lieu of lettuce- and the queso burrito with all the salsas and hot sauce options. "Fresh" and "wholesome" comes to mind.

Very good Mexican food for lunch. I think this place is better than Moe's and is similar to Chipolte, but not as spicy. I had a steak and cheese burrito that really hit the spot as it was grilled perfectly and the flour tortilla was superior to Moe's or Chipolte. The tortilla chips were also fresh and tasty. I normally don't order desert for lunch, but when I saw the Sopapilla on another table, I went back to the counter to order some and was very glad I tried them - sorta like a Mexican beneigh.

"Bird Attack Leads to Lunchful Bliss" Even though I had eaten at the one in Plantaion a couple of times before, I decided to try this one for lunch today. I ordered the Lime Burrito and a small drink. I say "small" because this is foreshadowing what is about to occur. I longed for the bright Florida sunshine... Well, I guess it was more of the Florida clouds but I still wanted to sit outside and there were plenty of tables to choose from. The food runner/waitressgleeful Lime employee brought me my burrito in about 5 minutes and I began to eat. Oh, and I chose the fabulous Mr. Pibb as my beverage of the afternoon. I downed the soda in a few minutes and desired a refill. After having looked around for a happy-go-lucky Lime staff member and not finding one, I went to fill the drink be myself. When I returned, I was just about to bite into my burrito when the college students at the table next to mine screamed, "Don't eat that. The birds were all over your lunch." Well, since I was really hungry and my stomach was growling...Yeah, right. I took my burrito back to the front counter and asked them for a remake and told the cashier why I was making the request. They complied with no argument and even offered to bring it out to me while I sit comfortably and enjoy my book. The second burrito was just as good as the first and probably ranks second on my fast food burrito list. If you like inexpensive and fast Mexican grub, you''ll definitely enjoy this place. Just don't get up from your table unless you have someone to watch over you rmeal. It just might disappear at the hands (claws, feet, etc.) of our flying friends.

Ate here in May 2014. Reasonable prices. I had 3 tacos for $7.99. I asked if I could have 2 chicken tacos and 1 beef taco, and the gal at the counter said I could. I ordered the soft tacos; however, there were a few areas on two of the tacos that were somewhat hard. Food was fresh, and quantity of food was good. Came with lots of chips. At one point, I left my table across from the soda machine so that I could fill up my soda, but I kept turning my head to make sure a waitress did not take my food away, because I had only eaten one of my tacos. Before I knew it a waitress appeared and began to take my food away. I had to yell out to her that I had not finished eating and to leave the food alone.

This is a spacious Lime situated upon prime real estate within this faux Urban!Disney mall. It faces the mall entrance and has plenty of outside seating. When I was at this mall, I noted that the other restaurants looked entirely unimpressive, so I fell back on Lime, an old standby. I always get the skinny burrito with ground beef, and it tasted exactly as it does at the Dade locations. It's a simple burrito with lettuce and reduced fat cheese. By itself, it reminds me of the burritos I used to get at Taco Viva in the '80s. A little plain, but it's sizable, and you're going to want to dab some habanero salsa in there anyway. It's just like every other Lime in S. FL, and that's not such a terrible thing.

One more star for them... Happily surprised this time... We came for a late lunch. There was a line outside but if moved fast, less than 5 minutes we were placing our order. Compared to the last time I was here, the girl at the cash register was friendly, with a smile, paying attention to everyone's order. She was patient answering questions and at the same time quick to move the line along. We found the table we wanted and immediately another girl was cleaning it for us (I think her name is Sana). After delivering the food to our table, she came by a couple of times making sure we were doing OK and had everything we needed. Another great improvement from last time. Very good service. I ordered the Fajita Quesadilla with Chicken. It was good, and big - was only able to have half of it - and comes with chips. I also tried their frozen sangria. Now, I don't like frozen drinks so had to let it sit for a while but have to say it was good. Now, if you like it really sweet ask for sugar... My sister ordered a Burrito (she's the reason we were here she was craving Mexican) and she was very satisfied. She had never been to Lime and and was really surprised how much she liked it. The other good thing they have is free refill for sodas or Ice-Tea, and the different sauces/ salsas for the chips, from mild to habanero hot you choose.

Really enjoy Lime. Great location, friendly staff inviting atmosphere. Bonus - Wednesday kids eat free. 2 for 1 drink specials. We went there on Wednesday and then returned on Friday. Lime is going to be on the regular rotation. Big cali burrito...I swear by it. Kids love the chicken tacos.

Cool, hip, fun place to be. Food is quick, plentiful, and tastes great. Make it as spicy as you like with homemade salsa and about 50 different hot sauces.

  • Stephanie M.

Consistency is key with chains. If I buy something in one location I expect to get the same item prepared the same way in another location. I always order the steak and queso tacos or the naked burrito. This location is just as good as the South Beach location (my first visit and old standby) and with its convenient location next to WOB its a good place to grab some tacos before drinking some beers..

    (4)
  • Katie M.

I've been to this location a bunch of times. I used to order the burritos, but one day my friend and I noticed they did happy hour on Wednesday-Friday from 4:00-7:00 so we decided to give it a try. During happy hour they do 2 for 1 frozen margaritas/sangrias and bottle beer and $2 soft or crunch chicken and beef tacos. I feel like you can't really beat $2 tacos. When we first started going a few months ago, the margaritas were really good and had a ton of tequila in them. For the price it was probably the best deal on an alcoholic drink around. Unfortunately they changed the mix of the drink and now they don't taste very good. :( However we still go for the $2 taco deal because they're quite tasty. I usually get the chicken soft tacos, but I have tried the beef. I just prefer the chicken, there was nothing wrong with the beef, just a preference thing. I would recommend trying happy hour if you've never been because it's less expensive that way.

Following in the footsteps, and attempting to be a bit more than Chipotle or Moe's, this Mexican-esque fast food restaurant serves, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fajita, and salads etc. A real bargain is the endless chips for $2.99 with full salsa bar. The salsa is very good, tastes like it is freshly made, and I think is probably the best thing on the menu. However, Greshka is right, the service is lacking and indifferent. Expect to get the "eye roll" on the first refill request of your chips and possibly a slap to the head if you dare order a third helping. Chicken taco's were light on the meat, but not half bad. I don't know if I would ever travel out of my way for this place.....short of a chip/salsa craving, in which case I am bringing a helmet!

As fast food Mexican restaurants go, this place is pretty darned good. Definitely one of my favorite chains nationwide, and I enjoyed frequenting this location the most. My personal fav from their menu is the Queso Burrito. It is exactly what it sounds like, a ground beef burrito with the usual rice, beans, sour cream, and a good helping of cheese. But, this isn't just any cheese or cheese out of a can (as you'll find in Philly on occasion). Nope, this is a good homemade (at least mass restaurant-made) cheese that will definitely have you coming back for more. This one dish alone is enough to fill you up for hours, so consume more food at your own risk... to your widening waste size. Definitely a 4+ star burrito. Another good dish of theirs is the Fajita Platter. Again, it is exactly what it sounds like, with your choice of chicken or steak, along with a good helping of onions, rice, cheeses, and salsa to help you wrap up your own meal. Personally, I always go with the steak as their chicken seems slightly boring, but it's still good. A good 4 star fajita, especially when you hear that sizzlin' comin' your way.

Great place if you want fresh tasting food. Salads are great, salsa/guac and chips too! Bring the family, it is kid friendly. If you sit outside, you can bring your dog (we do!). Owner/mgr. stopped by the table today to ask if everything was good. Nice girls that work there, brought to go boxes/bags. Definitely go try this restaurant because they have a lot of options for the entire family and you don't leave feeling too guilty.

Tried out some awesome fresh Mexican food. that XL burrito really hit the spot. my wife tried the fajitas they were great as well as i took some Fa-jays to try as she also tried the burrito with fresh cut vegetables delicious. I love Mexican food. I know there's better choices out there" price wise" but in presentation this place takes the cake. Staff was very nice and friendly glad we found this spot while heading back home. good choice.

Good place to eat. They are a little stingy some times with side items like sour cream. Food is always good and cashiers are always nice.

I love the grilled Fish Tacos. I HATE how the line goes out the door. They didn't plan well. All in all I love the food but there are times when I waited waaaay too long for it.

Casual Mexican food... I think I still like Chipotle better as far as price/quantity go... But it was an alright change. The Coconut Creek Promenade is a cool area to hang out in also!

Totally middle-of-the-road, satisfying but not amazing Tex-Mex. Nice decor, good food selection but nothing to blow you away. Go to Tijuana flats for num nums

  • Nick S.

Out of all the fresh mex chains this is my favorite. Its near my house so we go at least once a week. So far is has always been very fresh and consistently good. I really like the fajitas and they have great con queso sauce. They don't have enchiladas and stuff like that but what they do have is tasty! I also like places where I can see them cook and prepare my food and here I can.

  • Charles Z.

Best queso dip in the local area hands down. The sampler nachos is great since I usually cant decide between guacamole or queso (salsa also included). Whenever I'm having a chips n dip craving this is where I go. The tacos are well packed, but there's no "bite" to make them stand out. I usually put some extra cilantro and squeeze a lime slice or two over top to give it that extra something that's missing. Have only had the beef and steak, save your money and go with the beef. The steak lacks seasoning or something to pick it up to the level where it's worth the extra money. Overall a great place for lunch or a spur of the moment food stop.

Love it!! Fresh, wide menu, good.outdoor seating- a gem of a fastfood (healthy) Mexican place. Will be back often!

Food was just okay, your typical fast food mexican. Prices are the higher end. Service was great and very speedy. I would go back if I was looking for a quick mexican meal. They do have beers and margaritas too.

  • Sean H.

Beer is ice cold, large variety of salsas, seating is outdoors as well as inside. Food tastes ok. Would be much better if you drank before you showed up then 3 stars may go to 4 stars. Good spot if you are craving Mexican but don't want to shit your brains out the next day.

    (3)
  • Michael C.

The food is exactly the same as any other Lime location, which is to say that it won't blow you away, but it's beyond serviceable and the quality is solid. What makes this location stand out is that is has EXCELLENT service and an extremely spacious dining area. Seriously, those big, separated booths with power outlets are the perfect place to study, assuming you have sound-blocking headphones.

    (4)
  • Sunny R.

The food is good if it's right! Make sure you repeat your order & they are totally concentrating on what you are saying & that they repeat it back to you more than once. If you get To Go food make sure you open your burrito to also make sure they listen. Their Queso has changed from Delicious to gritty & not hot. The 1st year it was open I would have rated 5 star but now quality & standards are lower. This used to be my favorite mexican food but will NOT return!

This is one of the only restaurants in the Promenade at Coconut Creek, so naturally the place is incredibly busy. That doesn't mean the food is amazing, it just means there is a lack of better options. The line was out the door, and most of the tables inside AND outside were taken (it was one of the few nights I would've liked to have eaten outside, since the weather was perfect... unfortunately, everyone else had the same idea). So my mom commandeered a high table inside while I ordered and paid. She and I both split the bottomless chips and salsa, and we each had two ground beef hard shell tacos. The salsa is pico de gallo salsa, so it's not a sauce so much as it is tomato and onion chunks. They have a salsa bar next to the fountain drinks, along with a decent variety of hot sauces. Problem was, we didn't like any of the other salsas they had. The hot one was insanely hot, while the medium one was just bland. So I had to mix the two together along with one of the sweet hot sauces to get a decent flavor for my tacos. The whole concept of this restaurant is quite similar to Tijuana Flats, except I like Tijuana's food (and salsa/hot sauce selection) and overall execution better. I will say Lime Fresh has better tacos though - they were decent, but I wouldn't go out of my way for them. Also, Lime Fresh should give away larger water cups. I'm glad I was sitting near the fountain drinks, because I had to refill my tiny bathroom-size plastic cup no less than seven times. If I come back, I'll fork over extra money for bottled water... just for convenience's sake. Overall this place is just like Yelp says: "A-OK." It's nothing special, it's a place to eat at just because it's there and you won't lose your parking space to go somewhere else.

  • Talisha M.

Soo not a fan! Been to a few different Lime's and I just don't get what all the hype is about. Not good! Not nasty but just not good. And this one had friendly staff but what a horrible wait for a salad. Way overrated. Poor attempt at Tex Mex. I will never try a Lime again.

  • Danielle G.

I think the food is fresh and tasty here, I, like one of the other reviewers, like it better than say Moe's or Tijiuana Flats. The fish tacos are always fresh and tasty. Yes, I agree with other reviewers - just repeat your order and make sure the teenager taking said order is paying attention - but that comes with the territory, kids have got to work somewhere. Back the the review - my ONLY gripe and it is a large one that keeps me eating here more often than I do - the MUSIC, oh the loud, blaring, club like music. I get it - high school kids but seriously. I'm not an old fart yet but the last thing I want to do is kick back have a beer and a fish taco listening to T-pain or Rhiana at levels that would raise the dead. Turn it down a bit guys, make a little more middle of the road and we would come here much more often.

    (3)
  • Hector M.

Please allow me to preface this one by saying that I'm a fan of Tex-Mex. But I'm not a fan of this place... We went on a weekend night and the music was blasting so loud I couldn't even hear my own thoughts. If they are doing this hoping that patrons get in and out quickly, they succeeded as I took my leave as soon as humanly possible... And I don't intend to go back. When you place your order, you are helped by someone at a register, not a waitress. The problem with this approach is that the register girl wants to get you out of the way as quickly as possible (and I can't blame her) so you don't really feel like you're getting "served". Our food (enchiladas and burritos) were subpar. The enchiladas were ok, but what's with those chips? I try not to be too cruel, but I've honestly had better from a bag. And the burritos were 70% refried beans so that flavor overwhelmed everything else. There are better Tex-Mex options in the area. I may give these folks a second chance at a latter point, but as it is right now, I don't recommend this place.

If you find yourself stuck at the Promenade and don't see a need to go to the Anthropology store (is there one there?), Lime Fresh has some pretty good Mexican food. Four stars for Stockholm Syndrome.

  • Katie R.

I have to say that this used to be a favorite spot for lunch, for me and my husband. We live about 45 minutes away from this restaurant, but made sure that if we were in the area, that we would schedule our time around lunch, so we could have their Cabo Cobb salads. On our last visit, we were seriously disappointed with the quality. They had changed all of their salads to using shredded iceberg lettuce...what you would put on top of tacos. It was so finely shredded, that it felt like we were eating coleslaw. I know that the ingredients are relatively the same, but a successful dish is just as much about texture as it is taste. I was told this was a recent change, and I would recommend that they change back to the original recipe.

  • Colleen C.

I recently went here for the first time, and I'm very impressed. They have "Meatless Mondays," so you get 20% all vegetarian-style food. Lime definitely supports vegetarians, as anything on their menu can be prepared without the meat and they don't give you a weird look for ordering it that way. The food is served quickly and tastes very fresh, and they had a very yummy dressing with my salad that my friends kept stealing... in retrospect, I really didn't get to have much of it. I recommend the taco salad, and have heard that everything else here is similarly delicious. They also have $3 margarita specials, although on the night we went they were out, so we stuck to sangria (not exactly the tastiest thing out there, but it gets you drunk very quickly). I can't wait for them to open the Plantation store near me!

  • Corina B.

Gonna keep it short and sweet. Lime is OK if you like imitation Mexican food, but honestly Taco Bell is better and a lot cheaper. They serve the typical tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fajita, and salads etc. Gave it a 2 star because the atmosphere is nice, and they did have a little band playing at the restaurant. As for the service, a STANK attitude must be a requirement for the position because most the waitresses, if not all, were pretty "blah" and inattentive. Probably will not be back.

  • Mike V.

Very tasty food. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed at times. They are a fast food restaurant for sure, the food always comes right out. Try the queso dip, it's fantastic, and if your not very hungry but like quesadillas, only order a half order because, like most of their dishes, the portions are pretty large. I frequent this place weekly for lunch.

  • Kevin H.

Waited 30 mins for food. Got there cold. Sent it back. Waited another 15 mins. Their service is PATHETIC. Operations are awful and management is apathetic. Just go to chipotle down the street. I like Lime but this one is sour!

    (1)
  • Sandra C.

Normally they are pretty good but last night not so much. The queso dip, chips and ground beef tacos where extremely salty.

    (2)
  • Justin P.

Lately, a group of competing quasi-fast food, inexpensive, imitation-Mexican chain restaurants have sprung up in South Florida. This is just another one, and it is very similar to its quasi-fast, quasi-tasty competitors. No better, no worse. Yawn.

    (2)
  • Michelle S.

We had tacos, a salad & a burrito. The food was good, healthy, quick & cheap. Iced tea was wonderful. You order you food & it is brought to the table, it seems like all dishes came with chips, & there is a salsa bar & a fountain to get your own drinks & refills. Personally, I like the flavor at Chipolte better, but the menu choices here are more varied, and the food is plentiful, but doable (at Chipolte I usually get two meals from ordering just one).I will be back.

Decent food and a great selection of hot sauces to put on it. The fajitas are great as is just about everything else I've tried here,

  • Bill M.

Been to this location and like most Lime's, it has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is great for people watching and the indoor seating is closer to the bottomless chips. It has decent food and doesn't feel like you are at a Mexican fast food joint, there is a great selection of hot sauces to put on it. The fajitas are pretty good and Salads are enormous.

  • Joel P.

First time guest. Atmosphere music was like I'm in night club, not a Mexican restaurant. Obviously no manager is on duty tonight. Floors are slipery from lack of cleaning near the condiments bar..a law suit waiting to happen!! The soda machine was broken, they did provid canned soda, but the ice provided gave the drink a strange taste. Doubt I'll ever return. Hope Chipotle moves into the area!!

  • Andrew V.

It had been such a long time since I had Lime that I had to go and get a burrito from there and hey, unlimited chips are a plus too. Like most Lime's I've gone to, the location has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is great for people watching and the indoor seating is closer to the bottomless chips so naturally that's where I sat. The day I had gone the ice machine was broken and the cashier had to give you ice. If you wanted more, you had to get it from her. What I noticed first is that that place was messy. Like you just had a party messy. My table was dirty so I cleaned it off myself, got my salsa and sat down. The salsa bar was not the cleanest either. The food came fast and was as tasty as I remembered it. Since the last time I've been here they have added this area for self service tortilla chips. Thank you for this. Even though they've always been free to get extra, I feel bad asking because I look like a pig, but let's be real- they give you like six chips with your initial order. Now I can grub up on my tortilla chips. They have one of my favorite tortilla chips out there and their pico is definitely a favorite of mine. They have some sort of happy hour daily and the staff is always nice. Fun music is blasting and it just has a good vibe to it. You may have to wipe down your table but that's ok, I guess.

We are repeat customers. Had the sizzling fajitas. They gave me white tortilla when I ordered corn tortilla. The sizzling tortilla - could be better. The Guacamole with the chips was on the spoiled side. We like the salsa bar and the pineapple salsa. But overall Tijuana flats food tastes much better.

Making a revision to my original review because I know this place can do better. The owner contacted me on Yelp after I made my last review and told me to come back in and she would refund me and remake my order free of charge. I was impressed with the followup on behalf of my previous experience and service. Ordered to go again and made the same order, 3 steak crispy tacos. Wait time was pretty long, wasn't terribly busy. Tacos were much better this time. Steak was cooked, tacos are still assembled. Chips aren't stale, taco shells aren't stale either. Pretty satisfied.

Warning: if you finish your meal here, chances are that you will have a food baby lol . In all seriousness, I would best describe this place as the sweet spot between Moe's & Chipotle when it comes to the freshness of the food. The service is fast and friendly, food tastes good, and prices are good. Plus, it has the advantage of being located in the Promenade which helps with an after meal stroll. Great spot!

  • Kinnari T.

When they make the food is made properly is it awesome. The quest is my favorite and I crave the veggie taco. However every time I come here there is either something in my food (bamboo skewer, paper, or meat) or they don't fill the tacos properly. At $3.00 a taco I think I should get my food made right.

  • Elyssa S.

I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars. I've been to this Lime a few times. Overall it's not bad. I love the salsa bar and their chips are great but whenever I've gotten chicken not in quesadilla form I have noticed the chicken is very dry. I've had the burrito bowl, a burrito, and quesadillas and I can only stomach the chicken when smothered in cheese in the quesadilla. I have stopped in here for a snack while shopping in the area and ordered chips and guacamole which hit the spot but I tend to steer clear of the chicken here.

A good place to grab a quick bite, food is good, the atmosphere is good, the frozen margaritas are great! Great location, have no complaints.....well maybe one, they can add a bit more to the menu, like rice and beans.....

Mixed feelings about this place. The first time I came here they messed up mine and my boyfriends order twice even though it was so simple. Didn't even bother asking them to change it again. The second time we ate here it was actually pretty good and the orders came out correct. If you go here, go in the daytime because they get busy at night and I don't think their staff can handle it, messing up multiple simple orders. So/so overall.

Great food but they are too cheap to fix their ice machine. It's been out of order for about a year now.

Food was good. Recommend the burritos and get chicken over steak. It's a little overpriced but they do give you a lot of food and its a very relaxed atmosphere. I'll go again

Food just wasn't that great, staff is very helpful and friendly, I do love the location! What i disliked the most was that the meat in our tacos, quesadilla and nachos was not fresh.

How I got into Lime grill is for their WTF happy hours on their frozen margaritas, so I have been coming to their place for about 4 years... Never complain about it, few weeks ago, I stopped for a to go order of frozen margaritas and a burrito, they handed me two ice margaritas, and I went back to the server and told her, I ordered frozen... She apologize and told me that their frozen machine was broken. Thursday 9/3/2015 I went with a friend and ordered two sets of margaritas, they have me 2 frozen and when I was done with the first two, they would server the other 2. We finished the first two and we ordered two meals and also the rest of the frozen margaritas, they came to the table with ice margaritas, instead of frozen... I was upset to see they way they just gave me what they had, without letting me know what was going on... I got and canceled my food ordered and told them I didn't want ice margaritas. today 9/4/2015 I was planning on going back for frozen margaritas, I just called them, and the guy who answer the phone said " for now the frozen margaritas machine is working, we don't guarantee that it will be working later today!" No apology or any other type of explanation.

Love this location! Decent price and the food there are great. Wish it was the same quality at other locations as well.

Lime was feeling generous today by filling their tacos half way. Pretty disappointed when I opened my takeout to see this.

The staff is friendly, especially the cashiers. The food is hit or miss. Last night I had three tacos and everyone of them looked like they were made by Ray Charles. Tomatoes on the wax paper and not in the taco, no cheese in another one. The ice machine has been broken for weeks, weeks. The staff works hard enough, mgt. should fix it ASAP.

Although I didnt care for my lunch yesterday, I am still giving this review three stars. I have been here a few times but I haven't been here in quite a while. I ordered the Taco Salad. The ground beef was very salty & I do not think they drained the meat because it was swimming in greasy oil. The romaine lettuce was soggy because of the meat drippings. The guacamole & black bean corn salsa that came in the salad was good but they put so much sour cream on my salad it was all one big mushy mess. They forgot to add the pico de gallo as well as the tortilla strips. A side of spicy ranch dressing came with the salad but I did not use it. With all the grease & sour cream adding ranch dressing didn't seem like a good idea. I was in a rush so I just picked at my salad (barely). I am sure if I asked them to remake it they would have. I would return if I was in the Promenade Plaza but I wouldn't go there just to eat at Lime. They have outside seating which I really enjoyed because it was a beautiful day! Next time I will try something different & I am sure it will be good.

So good. I got food to go, the person who took my order was so nice considering how picky i am and i know how irritating it can be. Everyone should work in the fast food industry for minimum one year. Then youd be able to appreciate someone who can take an order and still be genuine. She even double checked everything to make sure it was up to par. Bravo to the guest relations@this restaurant

I'm definitely a regular at this location and I've been to a bunch of the Miami locations. This place is THE best for inexpensive Texmex food! If you want a super tasty burrito (especially the Queso burrito) and some great tacos (I live and breathe for the I Wanna Tijuana's) then definitely stop by one of their locations! They also have possibly the best Queso of all time.

First time I tried the Cali burrito at this location and I wasn't too impressed with the steak inside it very chewy the service was friendly and efficient but I happen to enjoy the food much better at the other location on Commercial. I may give them one more try perhaps it was just an off day here.

I've been to lime a few times many years ago. Not a fan. Way too salty every time I ordered. Needed a nice location on a Friday night that was semi quick and that kids can run around after, and the Promenade fit the bill. And friends picked Lime so I decided to be easy going and go along. Food: Ordered the burrito bowl. I tell you what...i enjoyed it. Wayyyyy too much rice. Came in a big bowl, ton of rice (I guess to fill the bowl), and so so amount of chicken. But I enjoyed my Lime meal more than I ever did before. I do think it was salty after the fact though b/c I was crazy thirsty later that night. Service: Here's what stole the show. Other than chick fil a, I have never been to a fast food type place with as good as 'service' as this place. Each worker was friendlier then the next. Can i clear that? Can I get anything for you? More water for the kids, let me get that. After we were done the Manager came over and talked to us a bit..and was very friendly. Really nice to see that and apparently what he is doing is working and showing in his employees. I will go again.

I went in for dinner last night to find it was happy hour, with $2 tacos and bogo margaritas and beer. I got the beef soft tacos tacos, a side of queso, and two margaritas (bogo, you have to get two). Here you order at the counter and are given a number to place on your table and the food is delivered. We chose to sit outside and it seemed like less than five minutes before the food arrived. The girl who delivered it mentioned that since we were sitting on the patio we could get free chips and salsa...great. Chips do come with the tacos, and there is a salsa bar, but at the salsa bar only small cups are provided, so if you want a significant serving of salsa it's a few extra dollars...but on the patio last night it was free. The queso sauce was really good, and didn't taste too much like weird, fake nacho cheese. The margaritas were quite good as well and a little stronger than I had anticipated (not a bad thing...but 1.5 was probably more than enough for me). The tacos were good too. For the $2 price they were wayyy better than taco bell. The tortillas were especially good. I'm not sure what they do that makes them different, but the texture was perfect. I will say the tacos seemed to be missing a little something as they were slightly bland, but there were probably five different salsa options and a ton of hot sauces that you could add, so maybe they are just trying to cater to those with a more bland palate so others can customize further. I was torn between three and four stars but I had to push it up to four because the service was excellent. At this type of place where you order at the counter you really don't expect to have anyone checking on you during your meal, but the waitress who delivered our food was very attentive and quick to pick up any empty plates and cups. There was also another man walking around (I kind of got the feeling he was the manager) making sure everyone was ok and encouraging them to try the different salsa and hot sauce options. There was also a woman making balloon animals. I think I saw a sign that kids eat free Wednesdays so maybe this was a kids night thing...but I still kind of wanted a balloon, she seemed really good at it.

Fresh grilled meats & fresh salsas. Affordable. Wine, beer & frozen alcoholic drinks are usually 2-for-1. I've had a quesadilla, nachos & burrito and liked them all. My bf always gets the tacos. Key Lime pie was good too. This place is totally different than chipotle (though both are very Americanized "Mexican" food) so I don't know how people compare it! This place is more like a Tijuana Flats.

I can't say the food is 5 stars, but the service always is. The young ladies who work there always say hi and go out of their way to thank you for coming. The Managers are always coming by to check in on you and make sure that everything came out the way it is supposed to. By the way, the Margaritas are knock down good, two of them and you are toasted. BTW, 2-4-1 happy hour till 7pm!!!!

This is probably my favorite tex mex place between Chipotle , Lime and Zona Fresca. I love the burritos and tacos. So tasty, and not expensive. I also love unlimited chips and salsa!! I come out of this place so full every time. Big Cali and Lime Burrito are both great. I've also had the fajitas, which was very tasty, and a lot of food. The best part is hanging out at the promenade after.

Great food!!! I've been here a bunch of times. The food is great. It's located in the promenade which I love. I always order the ground beef quesadilla with nachos. If you sit outside on the patio just be careful not to walk away from your food otherwise the birds will help themselves to what your eating!!! I swear that happened to me when I got up to get a drink. I came back and my quesadilla was spread out all across the table. I was so pissed, lol It's really not a big deal but their drink station is not made for people who are short. I have to stand on my tippy toes to reach the soda station. Like I said not a big deal but I thought I would put it out there. Overall a very good place to eat and sit outside and people watch. I recommend lime fresh mexican grill.

This place has the potential to be pretty good and for the most part it is... pretty good... but the last (and only) 3 times I've been, the chicken or fish in my order has been a bit on the "extremely dry" side of things, consistently. That's why I'm giving them 2 stars... wasted potential.

Good place to grab a bite to eat and a beer with friends. It is open until 10 so if visiting late at night purchase all you need before closing and sit outside and relax. Night area

Ok, I'm a big fan of Tijuana flats on Atlantic/Federal in Pompano. I love the veggie burrito/no rice. Soooooo, we went to Lime, I asked for a simple veggie burrito, black beans ONLY and NO RICE. We said NO RICE for both of our burritos. First bite, there's rice! Ok, I addressed it and also asked to have a complementary voucher, one of the managers, Charlie; was very nice and apologetic about it. Second burrito come, great! No rice, but refried beans instead of black beans. :-( I'm going to give another try some time whenever. Honestly, working as a team, you all should communicate with each other better. The three star is for the ambiance, the manager and the girl who brought our food.

I had the Lime burrito & it was the best burrito I've ever had. Every component was seasoned to perfection and it was cooked perfectly. Chris, the general manager came over & chatted with us. He was very genuine, not fake at all. Every time I'm in Southern Florida, I will eat here. Hopefully they will open up in NY.

Maybe I'm being biased because I love Mexican/American food but this place really surprised me. The service was excellent. The cashier didn't get impatient with me when I wasn't sure what to order and the servers checked up on us ever so often. Now all I ordered was the NACH'YO'MOMMA'S NACHOS but I was very impressed. I added ground beef to this and added multiple salsas. They have about 8 or so different types of salsa you can add after you get your food. (NO EXTRA CHARGE). Now and days just about EVERYTHING is extra (LoL) FYI* If you sit outside there are huge umbrellas and they play good music

Food is great, service as well! I went with a big group of people after roller derby, and we had a nice time. It isn't real-real mexican food, but it's good enough. I wasn't thrilled with the guacamole though.

I have been coming to this Lime for many years and always get great food and great service. They have dine-in or take out options. For dine-in, the music is kind of loud if you want to have intimate dialogue but otherwise makes it a fun atmosphere. The food is soooo fresh and made to order! For take out, it might be a good idea to look up a menu and order before you pick up, they'll have it freshly made and waiting for you :) My personal favorites are the Big Cali Burrito, any Quesadilla, and a must for cheese lovers is their Queso Dip with beef. Love this place!!

I am a big fan of Lime Fresh in the Promenade. The food is consistent, delicious, hot and fresh. I love the fresh salsa bar that has a great variety of tasty salsa, fresh cilantro...and yes LIMES! They also have a huge selection of hot sauce on the counter to choose from and you can take as much as you like in the plastic cups that are available. They have some really good ones - like habanero mango! Food is great - chicken can be hit or miss on the tacos with a tendency to be dry. Fish tacos are consistently great. Salads are huge and have great mix ins like black beans, corn and pico de gallo. Guacamole is not anything special - but generous portions. Chips on the side are fresh, hot and have the right amount of salt. These chips are better than Zona Fresca. Fountain drinks are unlimited. They have a frozen sangria which is the bomb - and as mentioned in another review - alcohol drinks are STRONG so make sure you get someone else to drive. Parking lot is super busy because this is in a large shopping plaza. There is a multi level garage but you have to be patient. You can sit outside on a beautiful patio with umbrellas for shade. A little over run with birds waiting to steal your food - so don't leave your chips/food unattended or you will have a feather friend chowing down on your lunch (saw it happen ha ha) Go there, have fun and enjoy. Taking away a star for the birds...and unfortunately their poop on the patio. Sorry.

My first time there. Steak Fajitas kind of pricey at $12. It tasted fine but nothing really special or authentic Mexican. The chicken taco was okay but small. Nothing would make me go here again as opposed to Chipotle or Baja Fresh.

Lime Fresh is awesome. I had high expectations and my meal here definitely exceeded them. The atmosphere was unexpectedly sexy, cool, and intimate. The three of us split a booth and it was plenty of space and we were all quite comfortable. We ordered the burger (with pico de gallo and avocado). Soooo delicious. We also ordered the fish tacos. We could have ordered everything off the menu just to taste it all. We will deinitely be back. Again and again and again. Great Service, Best Food Highly Recommended

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
