I've never been one to write reviews, that is, until I visited the majestic carluccis. From the moment we walked in, I knew this would be a unique experience. We were greeted at the door by our server who seated us with a smile. At the time I thought she was simply the hostess, but 20 minutes later when she finally returned to take our drink orders, I knew she was a jack of many trades! We had all gotten such a thrill from waiting that long, that we figured we'd roll the dice again. Lo and behold, another 20 minutes into our dining adventure, she appeared yet again to finally take our orders. Apparently we came at a peak business hour, because both servers were running around like 2 chickens with their heads cut off. Understandably so, as 2 tables each is enough to put even the most seasoned veteran server "in the weeds." Just about every request we made throughout our visit needed to be repeated 2-3 times and was still at times ultimately ignored. In our servers defense, we were asking for some pretty outrageous things such as drink refills or crayons (for the kids). I figured that since I could see at least 5 or 6 people working in the kitchen, our food would come out in a timely manner, and hot and delicious...nope! After about another 25-30 minutes (not outrageous) the pizzas and other entrees started coming. All but one :-( the famous eggplant parmigiana! Not only is the service grade A second to none at this joint, but it's food is actually grown out back! They literally plant the seeds, water them, pick them and cook with them all while you wait!!! That is my only reasonable explanation as to why we had to wait another 15 minutes for the last dish to be brought out. All the while, being the well mannered and proper dining partners we are, we waited. And waited. And waited until our food all became room temperature. (I mean really, who doesn't like room temperature chicken piccata?) If you haven't tried it, go there and order it. Tell em Eric sent ya. They will make you wait even longer!! At one point our friend even told the server to cancel the order. She'd just eat the kids pizza. Oh nonononono....carluccis prides itself on never compromising, as I find out first hand after the meal. The server finally brings out the final dish about 15 minutes after everyone else's. No explanation, just a simple apology. We eat. Meh. It's okay. Get the bill and of course the damn eggplant parmigiana is still there. We nicely request that it be removed. To which we get the look from our server that reads "don't even go there." A couple minutes later she returns and gives us the amazing news that the very generous manager has decided to take off $5 and make it "an even $80." Sorry but that's not good enough. Not when the dish costs close to $20, she canceled it bc it was taking too long, and when it finally did come out, all of our dishes were cold. So at this point I get up and walk over to the manager, who is, to put it lightly, kind of a dick. We argue about it for a couple minutes, with no new outcome. He clearly believes that taking $5 off is a favor and he can do no more. He even tries to explain to me that it is outrageous to expect the food to come out "all at once." I thought this was a standard in the food service industry and a common goal. Maybe I've just been lucky all these years.

I had the best Gorgonzola salad today. I was the only one in the restaurant. It had s ton of Gorgonzola on it and lots of tomatoes and was served in a bread bowl with garlic rolls. Tried to get a pic of the salad but yelp went down. It was superb!!

We were a party of 3 that arrived at 6:00 PM on Friday night to find an empty dining room. (we should have left at that point) We were seated and our drink orders were taken at that time. It was very warm in the restaurant. I asked the server about the A/C and he said it was broken and the the repair person didn't show up. (I later found out it's been a problem for quite a while). We ordered a sampler platter for an appetizer. When the server brought it out he told us the mozzarella sticks were deformed because they are made fresh. Really? They were deformed because they were fried too long as well as everything else on the platter. We had a pizza which was good and my Wife ordered chicken alfredo that she said was fair. One other person sat in the dining room in the hour that we were there, but left within 5 minutes. I'm not sure why, but I wish that we would have left before ordering. Needless to say we will never return. There are too many other restaurants around that are far superior.

Very disappointed, all I ordered was a chicken parm hero. The chicken was chopped up similar to the type of chicken you would put on top of a chopped chicken salad. I expected a nice FRESH piece of chicken, , I felt like I was eating leftovers put into the hero, no wonder nobody was in the restaurant at lunch time.

Went on a Monday afternoon and it was dead. Huge portions of food, though, which is good because it was a bit expensive for a Publix shopping center location. Friendly hostess/server. Food was not as greasy as some other places we've been to and would easily make two to three meals out of one. Good, but super filling.

Amazing!! Shocked to read the other reviews. My fiancé & I went last Friday. We live 1/2 a mile away & pass it all the time. We couldn't decide where to eat dinner so we went in hoping it'd be decent. It was incredible!! Best pasta dish I've had in years. Very unique. I ordered the Spinach Ravioli Alla Giancarlo. Everything was fresh & authentic. Truly a hidden gem. It was empty when we were there like I read in other reviews... I have no idea why... It's clean, cute, delicious... Give it a try! UPDATE: I think we just got lucky our first time. All above is true - it was incredible... But hasn't been even close since. Bummer.

Pretty impressed. Haven't been in to eat yet because every time I walk by it is pretty empty, but my friend picked up a pizza and I was pretty impressed. Being from NYC I'm pretty picky, but I will absolutely be ordering from here again. The variety of pizza in south Florida is crazy, but the crust (crispy!!! Which scored major points) was awesome and loved whatever spices they use. I'll have to try again to give a full review, but impressed so far.

Both times we went in this place it wasn't very busy. Sign? Not sure just yet but the pizza is really very good. The first night we ate in here we ordered a 7 togging X-Large pizza to feed about four of us. It did; and man, was it good. I can't see why you only give this place 2.5 stars with pizza like that. I'm sure it's not the best in the world but it's really good. The service was friendly and stayed on top of things for us while we ate. We came back in the next evening to order pizza to go. Yes... Too much pizza but we were in town for a guys' weekend and just wanted to do pizza again especially knowing this place's was so good. Again, the pizza was good. The place had some folks picking up to-go and there were 2-3 tables sat this time. My buddy had one of their calzones both times. It was huge and he said it was great too. When we're back in town and have a taste for pizza, I'd come back again.

Omg the best pizza in town I went there the other day with my daughter and she loved it also and it's very hard to get little kids to eat but she ate all her food with no complaints and our waitress Katie was the best. We will definitely be back soon to eat something else off the menu and I'm sure that will be just as good as what we had the other day

My Family and I lived in Coconut Creek over 6 years ago and we use to order from Carlucci's often (more often than we should have) Recently I picked up take out and to my surprise, they food is still absolutely delicious. Especially my favorite Tortallini Alla Audrey and the GodFather. These are a must have at least once in your life. I also was very happy to see the service, and down to earth, respectful staff is still there.

This place deserves the sought after ZERO STARS. The calamari was clearly made from cheap frozen not very well cooked served with sauce straight out of the can. I ordered Scampi and when it arrived it was disgusting. The sauce was gelatinous. The pasta was unevenly cooked from mush to stiff. It was inedible. My wife ordered a personal pizza and it seemed like a cheap version of boboly bread with more of the canned sauce. I sent it all back and they rudely insisted on charging my for half of it. I was appalled and ready to refuse to pay and call the cops but I was hungry and just wanted to get the hell out of there before I lost the ability to eat. The owner was rude. We had not had more than a couple of bites and I clearly pointed out the problems. I will never, never set foot in the place again.

I order pizza from here regularly. It usually good thin crust pizza. Nothing to rave about but a solid 4 star pie in our household probably called upon far to often if the truth be told. They're usually quick to deliver on most days with the obvious busier times. The only reason I'm writing today is to say that the past few pies I've received have been slightly undercooked and a little "doughy". I think it's because we ordered the 7.99 16 inch special. I don't know what that has to do with the amount of time the pizza is cooked??? The value of course was great but when we received it we were quickly disappointed. I have to downgrade this place until they correct the problem. Perhaps order it well done. Although you might get a burnt pie!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
