Not a fan what so ever. The only positive I could find was that they have poutine. The set up when you walk in is weird coffee culture and union burger in the same space, we were greeted by a girl when we walked up to thr Counter who stood on the coffee culture side (even though it's just a long counter shared by both) and she was the only one to greet us so when we were ready to order we went to her and started ordering.... apparently you can't order from ub on that side we were Informed so we had to moved down to a diff register where the same girl took our order... yah I don't know seems weird plus what if you want a sandwich and a burger you have to swipe your card twice? Poor planning if you ask me there must be software they can get to fix that problem. We ordered and our bill came to $25 dollars. I'd say similar pricing to Five guys so they're not far off but let me be clear... Five guys is 20 times better 20 times more food 20 times the quality and 20 times the service in my opinion and lucky for this company there's no five guys on Clearwater beach. The food took forever, I got the little cheeseburger and Brandon got a bacon cheese burger .. you can barely see either of our burgers because the buns are so big and the patties are so small.... they were cooked too long I would guess as well because they were so dry and tasteless. I got poutine with my meal and Brandon had fries... poutine was mediocre nothing special but again probably the only place in Florida that has poutine.. fries were meh little on the soggy side. I think this place will be kept alive by tourists and Canadians craving poutine but I can't imagine any locals becoming regulars here. For the price versus the quality and amount of food we'd probably never come here again. Also there is a third franchise that's part of this group called crabby Joes I'm wondering if this will open as well because it is one of my favorites at home. Maybe they could ditch ub and open one instead.

A huge disappointment. My yogurt tasted like rotten cheese. The lettuce in the salad was old and tasted rubbery. The hot dog wasn't cooked thoroughly. The girl who took our order was incredibly rude. Worst place I've been to yet.

Burgers where large but pretty good. Different than other burger places I have been to.

  • Jay M.

Pretty good place to stop and grab a bite. Burgers are very good average combo around 12-15 per person. The burgers are large and so are the fries and onion rings orders that come with. So not bad for the price. I'll recommend going there to anyone !! Place is supper clean and looks like a high end bar inside with excellent decor and furniture.

I ordered the blue cheese burger no bun extra sauce it was good flavor but the next was overlooked. Our kids fries were crispy and they enjoyed their meals. The key lime pie was awesome! They got ice cream included with their meals but neither had room for it

Not impressed at all. Definitely not worth the price they charged. They claim the burgers are never frozen but I highly question that. Patty was very dry and lacked any beef flavor. Cashier recommended the Bourbon burger which was her favorite. I recommend you save your $$ and try somewhere else.

Best onion rings ever as stated by the wife Good burgers never frozen. Friendly counter service. Great decor. Food was delicious.

I went here in November 2013 when I visited my family. The decor is nice and their burgers are really good. It's a little similar to five guys but this place is a little better in my opinion. The fries were also yummy. This place is located in the really nice part of Clearwater beach.

Very bad. I ordered bourbon burger and it is half cooked. I am sure this place is surveying because of location.

Great burger, onion rings, poutine and chicken sandwiches. If we lived here, we'd be regulars. Thanks for a great lunch!

Walked by this place a few times and loved the interior so I thought to walk in and try it. The atmosphere is very classy and clean. Its attached to a Starbucks-like coffee place, Coffee Culture and the entire building has a coffeehouse feel. I ordered the signature burger, the All American, which is a double bacon cheeseburger, with onion-rings. It was incredible, you can tell that the beef is made fresh to order and the fries are hand cut. Its also open late every night (Open till Midnight on weekends) . Overall Union Burger was an incredible experience and I look forward to coming back.

Truly dreadful burger, frozen pattie, like leather. White bun, not toasted. Way too much of each spread. The fries weren't bad, about as good as Wendy's. Took a long time to get food this bad. In the good news, it was clean, the booths were fairly comfortable. there is a coffee place attached and they have soft serve ice cream. My bill was $11.01 for a cheese burger, fries and a drink. I threw away half the burger, and my stomach is now doing flips. Do not go, hit the Beachcomber across the street for a burger instead.

  • Jessica F.

I hate to add to the list but yeah, I have experienced better. The burger was filling but just okay. I did not experience any problems with the service and the wait time was about 15 minutes for our food which was no big deal since it was being cooked to order.

This is just a normal burger joint in Clearwater Beach just a few blocks down from the pier. It's attached to coffee culture so you can get a cup of joe & a burger to go. I had a cheeseburger w/ bacon & chili cheese fries to go. Food was decent. Not bad but not great either. Great place to get fast food if you have the munchies after a few drinks by the pool and don't want to order room service!

    (3)
  • Nat W.

This place is attached to a cafe in Clearwater Beach. I love the fact that you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a cake slice but if anybody else is hungry they can just order burgers from here. Although the menu looked really good, the food was just mediocre. I did not order burger...I ordered chili fries and they were just so hard to eat and tasted meh. They use a cup for their chili fries and it is so hard to get to the fries. I thought the chili fries from Wendy's were much better and affordable.

Union Burger in Clearwater is pretty good. I had the Grouper burger twice now. The first time was great; the fish was tasty and it had just the right amount of spices/mayo. The 2nd time on the other hand, wow the fish was WAY over spiced. So hot it burned my lips. Maybe the chef accidentally poured too much in the mix, but it was very close to being inedible (and I don't usually waste food). Service was good, but the wait time for a burger is close to 20 mins.

Similar concept as Five Guys or Smashburger, just not the same taste. Tried the Grouper Melt, not a lot of flavor, could of used more seasoning. Kids had burger, chicken sandwich and fries. They all liked them. UB is attached to a coffee shop, wife got a BLT from the coffee shop. She liked the sandwich. Enough places to sit inside, not a lot of clean places to site outside.

The burgers and fries were ok.. nothing spectacular, but definitly edible. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the ICE CREAM! I got the Peanut Butter Paradise twist-- YUMMMM!!! The best fast-food/casual-fast ice cream ever! If you go to any other ice cream place, they tend to skimp on the candy mix/toppings. Not UB! Got chunks of reese's in EVERY bite.. Big chunks too! Delish. Husband got the Caramel Wafer Wonderful which was good too. All my fellow sweet toothers, try their ice cream!

It was exciting to try out the Union Burger in Clearwater, as it is the only location in the U.S. It is attatched to a coffee shop called "Coffee Culture," and sits in downtown Clearwater which is pretty much right on the beach. In all honesty it isn't in the right place, it would be more fitted to the town of Clearwater in my opinion. Frankly the atmosphere in the restaurant isn't exactly what would want to make you sit down and eat burgers and fries. I wouldn't say that the service was good either. The dynamic of the staff was strange, one would step outside and smoke a cigarette and another would ring in customers and vice versa, so cashiers would swap out for each individual customer/s. They give buzzers, and the wait for food was awful long (about 20 minutes) for a place that had very few customers (about 3-5 customers/parties). So the overall service experience was not good. For food I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, french fries, and fountain drink combo. Kind of overpriced, too. The sandwich and fries were good so I'm not anyone to judge how the burgers are. Overall the food was pretty tasty but the wait was far too long. However the menu has some pretty good choices.

So looking at the reviews before I got My sandwich I was like eh, but tried it. First of all big big sign up front saying the special Fish sandwich (I don't remember the fish) asked for that and she's like we are out & going to be for atleast a week I'm thinking take it off or say we are out. It was on the chalk board. So I settled for the steakhouse burger with bacon onion ring on it & steak sauce. They gave me the wrong sandwich at first which ended up being my friends exactly & of course it looked the exact same they ended up giving him that burger which is gross. But they brought my burger out it was good my other friend got the same thing & he asked me if I could take the steak sauce because he couldn't. It could've had more but overall decent place wish I got a panini sandwich but not bad overall good size burger. I think some of these reviews the people got the small burger. For sure not no five guys when it comes to burgers

We really liked this place!! The burgers were fresh and flavorful. The grouper wasn't available which was disappointing but that was fixed quickly by the staff. It made for a great date with my hunny. We will definitely be back!

I'm always worried when we order a six dollar burger, claimed to be made fresh from never frozen beef, and they don't ask us how we want it cooked. The result, of course, was a burnt hockey puck of a burger, cooked extra well done, reduced in size to a tiny disk smaller than the bun, but with some reasonable toppings. If the burger is truly fresh, I'd suggest letting us order it medium or medium rare, so it will be juicy and good, rather than shriveled to a charcoal crisp. I added a star because the fries were well made, salty, crispy and tasty. But, this is Union Burger, not Union Fries. Therefore, they need to live or die by the burger. Right now, I'm voting for a quick and painless death.

First off I want state that I love love love burgers so when I was driving by Clearwater beach on 9/20 and saw a restaurant that had a burger in the name I assumed they would have good burgers, I was wrong. There was no parking unless you wanted to pay(that's most of clearwater beach though) but I didn't mind if you park directly in front the meter is 1.25 an hour. We get inside and there are two different couples sitting down and no one in line. There is one counter for a coffee cafe and another counter for burgers. We got two burgers, two drinks, and two fries (not including a tip) for $25. it's an additional $3.50 per burger to add a drink and fries/onion rings. That for me was kinda expensive for a fast food type of restaurant, you can sit down but there are no servers. The girls at the counter were very nice and seemed very helpful if we needed it. So keep in mind we were the only people in line but it took almost 20 minutes to get our food and when we did I was VERY disappointed. The fries were good but the burger was awful. Bun was dry, meat was small, overcooked, and seasonless, I ordered bacon but there was hardly any and I could barely taste it. Honestly I think my 5 year old brother can make a better burger because this was so disappointing. I highly regret spending my money here and will not return. It is ridiculously overpriced and the food is very bad minus the fries. Do not come here unless you're wanting to waste money.

I was meeting a friend here because I remembered the last time I was here, they had a coffee shop attached. It wasn't busy, but lawdy, Clearwater was sure hopping. After fighting for a parking spot, I finally gave up and paid a pretty penny $10, for a spot behind CVS across the street and walked to the destination. As I said, it wasn't busy and that was good. My friend and I placed our orders, I got the Steakhouse burger - sauces on the side, and He got the All American burger. We upgraded to the combo for $3 more, and got a drink (Soda for me, coffee for him) and a side, rings and fries respectively. I paid the $27 and we got our buzzer and took our seats. Five minutes later, we were called up and our food was given. They were good sized burgers, however, i took the bun off of mine. They weren't over done, they were cooked just over medium. The toppings were done too. The rings and fries were tasty. I'd come back.

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
