Try this new York style deli in downtown Clearwater with speedy service!! I had a hot Joey wrap. This pickle plus favorite has grilled chicken, pepperchinis, lettuce, tomato, onion and melted cheese on a whole wheat wrap. It was served with a pickle and chips. I wasn't too impressed by these sides. The pickle was way too small and the chips were frito lays. Woopty doo. The hot Joey wrap was tasty though! Try it with a side of ranch dipping sauce!! This deli serves breakfast, lunch and dinner plates. It's supposed to be a Clearwater favorite. I will definitely return for a quick meal!!

I have always had good luck here with lunch. The food comes out quickly and delicious. The meat is all boars head product. If your looking for a quick lunch and some friendly service you will find it here.

Love the food here! It was breakfast and I was brave to have the egg salad! damn! It was good! The wife loved her normal breakfast of eggs and bacon... Coming for more!

SUCH a great place to eat. My friend used to get the tuna hoagie and said it was even better than the ones she found in NYC. I usually get the veggie burger, which is amazing, but breakfast is great too if you can make it. Unfortunately they close a bit to early for me to make it most days, but if you have the chance, go! It's so delicious and the staff is always so nice.

I had an awesome roast beef sandwich here. Best I have had in awhile. Great place.

Fast, cheap, and tasty! Good to eat in or pickup. The cheesburger is a personal favorite of mine.

I love Pickles Plus. The Corn Beef Ruben melts in you mouth, the best I've ever had. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's the best deli I have been to in Tampa Bay! I highly recommend Pickles Plus!

Sandwiches dont' particularly taste bad or anything, actually they are good. iTs just that service is not good at all and its REALLY overpriced. Was not impressed with their potato salad either - such a disappointment. Only 1 soup option per day. Its clean and has an ok option for dessert (cookies, brownies, cheesecake, etc). But i say go to the old rosie's deli or jason's deli or if you're willing to make the trek up to lucky dill - yum!

I have dined in four times now and every time it's been consistently delicious. If you're from the Northeast it's always a challenge to find a great deli sandwich. Pickles plus has the real thing, their corned beef and or pastrami sandwiches are lean, carved thin and piled high on freshly baked breads, pumpernickel, or rye. Great, spicy deli mustard. Everything's home made. I love their home made potato salad, unlike other area deli's whose condiments come in pre made manufactured tubs. Fridays I make a special trip for their homemade New England clam chowder. Nice and creamy with lots of clams. Pickles plus has one of the best Greek salads I've tasted, it's huge. Very courteous servers who go the extra mile to ensure you're satisfied. I understand they have an excellent breakfast and that's what I'll try on this Sunday morning. Located in Northwood plaza at McMullen-Booth and Enterprise Rd.

I am so happy that this place exists. It is worth the drive from Tampa. I had been craving matzo ball soup, pickles and a hot pastrami sandwich. I found what I was looking for at Pickles Plus. How happy was I that the daily special was for matzo ball soup with half a pastrami sandwich? The matzo ball soup was perfect, with a rich broth, fluffy matzo balls, and tender chicken. It reminds me of the soup at my favorite diner in Los Angeles. I wish they gave me a bowl of pickles, but the one they gave was a good size and perfectly crispy and dilly and sour. The pastrami sandwich was very good. The pastrami melted in my mouth. I wish the bread was a little thinner and less fluffy, but it's hard getting good rye in central Florida, I think. The decor is basic, but the waitresses are friendly.

First of all, this reminds me of a rock solid deli up north I used to frequent decades ago in the Shirlington neighborhood of Arlington, VA! The staff was very friendly from server to cashier to cooks! The room was quite clean. The menu was in stream with deli faves! Came here twice while my sis was in town and she was reminded of the deli I spoke of in reference. The breakfast fare was spot on. Considering my sis is a picky eater, she loved the food and the way it was prepared. There are always daily specials, plates, & soups. As for portions, our country has taken the gluttonous approach and markets more over quality. Pickles serves reasonable tasty portions. Pickles Plus is definitely on my breakfast list for options! In fact, I'm getting dressed and going there in a few minutes after being inspired as I wrote this update! :-D

We've been coming here for years. The food has always been great until today. I don't know if it's because it's Mothers Day but I had a turkey and ham combo sandwich and it was disappointing. I honestly think they are using cheaper meat, salty and not fresh. Beware

So I tried to find every reason to not give this place 5 stars in fear of being to generous with handing out 5 star reviews, but I couldn't. First I thought since we've only been here once, there was no way I could be in love with this place, but I am. The pastrami & corned beef sandwich with swiss, coleslaw, and Russian dressing was awesome, the homemade potato salad was amazing, and the portions were big and filling, but it was so good that I couldn't stop eating it. My wife loved her corn chowder and her lox on bagel and cream cheese, but couldn't finish it either. The service was also very good, they were friendly, and there was a Yelp check in deal(20% off $20 or more). Their menu had a wide variety and I'm looking forward to going back and trying something else(if I can look past that sandwich) in a few weeks when we go back(my wife's next doctors appointment, as the clinic is near there). We kept bringing up one of our favorite deli's in Los Angeles(Canter's) while we ate, because we were that happy here. Its in the big shopping center beside the CVS(we drove around half the place before we saw it because we didn't know exactly where it was. Don't be like us). They also have a cool little story you can read at your table while waiting for your food. Definitely give this place a try if you get a chance!

Based on my most recent visit here, I have no choice but to knock my review down 2 stars. This time I went for Sunday breakfast with my mom. It was way too hot to sit outside so I grabbed a table toward the back and started to browse the menu. In the mean time, the server abruptly came by to get my drink order. I've had her as my server here more than once and have never gotten the "warm and fuzzy" feeling from her. As I was browsing the breakfast options on the menu, I wasn't impressed. Pretty limited for a deli type restaurant! After waiting a few more moments, my mom arrived to join me and we put in our order with "Ms. Friendly Server". That's when the gnat that had been flying all around our table really got annoying and we couldn't take it anymore. I looked behind me (near the open kitchen area) and realized there was about 10 gnats flying around right near me and the kitchen. Nastiness. We asked to move tables to get away from them even though the food had just arrived at our table. We moved a few tables away only to discover the A/C vent right above our table was leaking and dripping on the flimsy, plastic chair. Lovely. I scooted over a bit to avoid the dripping water and decided I'd rather deal with that than gnats for the time being. Despite the less than pleasant experience, we continued to eat anyway as we didn't feel like leaving mid-meal. The food was mediocre, it had a greasy taste and was nothing special overall. This experience was so sub-par... Between the food, service and dirty atmosphere, I won't be rushing back anytime soon. Many better places to choose from in the area who actually know how to present customers with a pleasant server, a clean environment and tasty, fresh food.

We tried this place just on a lark one day and were greatly surprised at the fantastic food. yes its just a simple little deli restaurant style place, its NOT perfect, but then again tell me which place is perfect around here in every way? some of the servers can be a little dull, but that's probably more due to the fact table waiting is not the funnest, nor the best paying job on earth and I doubt its great fun waiting on some of these complaining types who write bad reviews over nothing, like the chic who was irked because there was a Nat Fly flying around inside the place, HELLO, this is Florida and the Gulf coast no less, we live where swamps used to be so get over it?? I only tried the corned beef and pastrami Sand so I'll comment on that. This place makes possibly THE BEST and most tasti sandwich melt I have had in years and reminds me of the taste at some of those famous NYC Deli's. the use Boars Heads meats and somehow infuse them with the most flavorful taste I have ever had in a long, long time. Florida and especially Tampa Bay is not known for its fantastic foods, unless your dining four star quality the foods around here are pretty lack luster so I was really surprised to find this little greasy spoon place here and I WILL be coming back again soon along with my empty stomach to try more than one item!! I cannot say enough good about this place and their food!!

I love this place for the Joey Wrap and the Greek Salad. And I appreciate that the size of the salad does not fluctuate when it is made in to a 'togo' order. Some places reduce the size to a very sad little order, but not here! And the dressing is perfect.

This is a nice, very casual, new york deli tucked right into my neighborhood. Great sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads. Everything here is pretty good. Don't expect too much in the way of atmosphere--in fact, you will probably sit in green plastic lawn chairs. But, the food is very good and the service is quick.

The sandwiches here beat out Publix by a long shot. Or any other sub for that matter. If you're in the mood for a great sandwich, go here. They do not skimp on anything!!! We've been going here for about 2 years and everything we've had is delicious. They are also open for breakfast and dinner, but we go after church. Don't let the looks of the place sway you. It's not fancy. You can also dine outside on a beautiful day.

Every now and then, one wanders into a place that is more enjoyable than you might have expected from its exterior appearance. Pickles plus is such a place. We went to this simple deli not expecting more than a quick dinner, but everything that we had was delicious and the portions were large. My wife had a corned beef sandwich, my son pastrami. Both were large and delicious. High quality cold cuts. I am on a restricted diet, so they made me a special chef salad with a large pile of corned beef on a large bowl of salad. It was the best that I have had in the area. The Cole slaw was great, not overly mayonnaise laden, almost more like a health salad. The waitress was friendly and efficient. There is outdoor seating if the weather permits. Not all of the baked goods are made on premises, but who cares. I will be back for sure.

definitely good spot for a simple sandwich. pretty typical sandwich selection, nothing major, but if you hungry for a something between a couple of slices of fresh bread, stop by.

Generous portions, and delicious food. So far, my favorites have been the Pastrami on Rye (get spicy mustard), the patty melt on rye, and their pasta salad. Great lunch spot, and if you call ahead, you can walk right in, pick up, and be on your way.

Great Deli in Clearwater...I eat here often and enjoy the food and service they provide. The bread they serve is fresh from a local bakery and served thick and delicious. Always pleasant and attentive servers and staff. Great food...Great experience!

The only reason I ordered food from here is because someone told me that they delivered. I can honestly say that I was completely dissatisfied with everything I ordered from here. I don't care how much food costs as long as I enjoy it. $10 for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich might sound expensive to some people but as long as it tastes good I really don't care; however, their cheesesteak was completely gross. I was so annoyed that I even ordered anything from here. There is a place in Dunedin that makes the best cheesesteak for $7 and I wouldn't mind if they charged me $15 for it because it's the best. I cannot even understand how this place has the nerves to even serve a cheesesteak. The French fries tasted as if they double fried them. They just tasted completely stale! I mean who in the world can mess up making French fries? Apparently pickles plus can! I also ordered their chicken Caesar salad. WOW is all I should really say. Not only did my salad come out to $9 because of the chicken but they should not even charge $2 for this inedible salad. The chicken did not taste like real chicken what so ever. The texture of it was comparable to that of the deli chicken where people slice them like ham. The taste of it tasted almost like turkey breast which left the worst taste in my mouth. I'm sorry but a real chicken salad should be made with real chicken breast not deli chicken or that fake chicken! I would never waste another dollar at this establishment again! They are just completely overpriced for the quality of food that they make. Would I ever order from here again? NEVER! Would I recommend this place to others? If I did, I would just be an embarrassing individual!

Great deli diner, they have a 20% discount for first time yelpers! The salad combo of Tuna, chicken and egg salad over lettuce and tomatoes was very tasty and bountiful. The New England clam chowder was creamy and piping hot. The place has a very neighborhood feel and I hear it's been there a long time. Good. Prices and quality food.

This is a great deli style restaurant. We have only done their carry out many times and I have to say, it was pretty good. The food was fresh, crisp and delicious. They have a huge selection of menu options. The chicken salad sandwich was yummy, as was the potato salad. The prices were slightly high, but I guess average for the area and for the style of restaurant. This place was packed and sandwiches were flying out of the kitchen quickly. The staff didn't mess around with ticket times either. I will definitely return to this location!

i had a totally disappointing experience here on July 4th. Had breakfast and the food and the service were simply terrible. I paid an "up charge" for sour dough toast. It was actually sour dough bread that had been buttered and waved over a heat source. There was no evidence of toasting. The grits were THE WORST that I have had in this area. The service was as bad as the food. Do not think our server gave a crap. My coffee cup sat empty for 5-10 minutes. We finally flagged down a server other than ours to refill my cup. Furthermore, I thought I would have to trip someone to get a check. I have had a few satisfying lunches here, but will probably not return again as a result of this experience. If the owner or a manager was on duty, they need to be more involved in the business.

Pickles Plus is one of my favorite restaurants. It's great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All the sandwiches are made with fresh Boar's Head meats. The waitress and cooks have been here for years and they make the food and service consistent.

Didn't make it to ordering when outdoor seating is easily able to clean off seeing as its plastic. You make my dog uncomfortable that's no hospitality for me. Seeing the establishment right next door does not question the pet friendly environment. I did like the courtesy discount at check in but nothing can evolve from poor hosting. Newsflash, there is a dog park around the corner which is a big avenue for marketing sales. But it all starts with great staffing and hospitality.

I guess it is not my taste. Food is barely ok (it not horrible but not good either). They give you POTATO CHIPS instead of french fries, and the pickles are plain... Weird that they name PICKLES PLUS but their pickles are the worst i ever had. I wont come back...

This is one of my favorite restaurants for a nice corned beef sandwich so when I saw them advertise corned beef hash for breakfast I was thrilled. After all, who would know more about corned beef hash than a corned beef restaurant? WRONG! I tried the corned beef hash the other day and was sorely disappointed. It was not even close to "hash." I assume we all know what hash is. This consisted of chunks of red skin potatoes and thin shavings of corned beef. Didn't look like hash, didn't taste like hash. I get much better hash out of a can and it's real hash. Enjoy the restaurant for their fine sandwiches and skip the hash.

This place is a great little place my family loves it! The Reubens are delicious and they give you ample portions! It's a little tight dining but it's not a problem. The good is great and we will be back soon! We live in Trinity, Florida and love coming here!

  • Nancy L.

Yep, really as good as it gets! We've been here 3 times in the past few weeks and have enjoyed it immensely. And speaking of immense, the corned beef Reuben was immense. It was also delicious, overflowing with tasty, tender meat and tasty swiss cheese, grilled just right. It was so huge, we split the sandwich. Had a sample of the famous chicken salad and yes folks, it IS to die for! The next time, we tried the turkey Rachel Reuben and it, too was large and delicious. Went here for breakfast this morning: eggs very good, pancakes light and fluffy. Everything was just great. Did I mention the service was good, also? Friendly, prompt, knowledgeable...who could ask for more? We've been to many restaurants in the Clearwater area and this one is worth the drive for sure. Yes, it's a casual place in a strip mall, easily overlooked but once you find it, you will never drive past without stopping. Glad the owners are doing things so right....a pleasure to see.

If you like good food and bad service, this is the place for you! I have yet to order from here and them get it right, which can be extremely frustrating after paying over $10 for a simple wrap.

3 stars for food Only! Server did a lousy job of maintaining our table & it wasn't busy at all! We got up to get our own refills! She dumped the check while we were still eating, again place wasn't busy! We ordered a desert and she ran away before I could tell her that it was to go! Very annoyed!

We've tried Pickles Plus a handful of times over the years and each time we ask ourselves why? In two separate take out instances there were problems with our order. Either they forgot to include part of the meal or they put the wrong item in altogether. I recommend you always check your order before leaving. In terms of the food I would say it's average deli food and probably hard to compete with the Lucky Dill 10 minutes up the street. Overall I would say they are a nice casual restaurant, however the food and service is average

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaang, that chicken salad sandwich was insane. Not only did it taste good, but I finally had to attack it with a fork. I couldn't get the thing to fit in my mouth it was that huge (that's what she said). Mmm. The guys in my party both got these impressive double-stacked corned beef monsters which were twice as large as my sandwich. I don't even want to know how they finished those off. Monsters, seriously. Everything here obviously revolves around the pickle, so expect one no matter what you order. Salad? Comes with a pickle. Sandwiches? Comes with a pickle. Soups? Pickle on the side. At least these are good pickles! Fries were good though not completely crispy and the salad, while fresh, wasn't the best. Maybe it was the ranch or maybe I wasn't in the mood, but I wasn't feeling it. With such an extensive menu, though, it's hard to not find something you'd like. Just remember to show up hungry...

It's not fancy. You can also dine outside on a beautiful day.

This place is a great little place my family loves it! The Reubens are delicious and they give you ample portions! It's a little tight dining but it's not a problem. The good is great and we will be back soon! We live in Trinity, Florida and love coming here!

Overall I would say they are a nice casual restaurant, however the food and service is average

great food but a lot of old people park themselves out front and sit there for hours.

Pickles Plus is one of my favorite restaurants. It's great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All the sandwiches are made with fresh Boar's Head meats. The waitress and cooks have been here for years and they make the food and service consistent.

I guess it is not my taste. Food is barely ok (it not horrible but not good either). They give you POTATO CHIPS instead of french fries, and the pickles are plain... Weird that they name PICKLES PLUS but their pickles are the worst i ever had. I wont come back...

Love everything about this deli. We take the kids for breakfast on Sundays and I always order them for lunch. Huge sandwiches with fresh bread every day! Love the servers, feels like I'm at home!

Generous portions, and delicious food. So far, my favorites have been the Pastrami on Rye (get spicy mustard), the patty melt on rye, and their pasta salad. Great lunch spot, and if you call ahead, you can walk right in, pick up, and be on your way.
