I love Cracker Barrel for home cooking. I came to this location early one morning before work. Friendly service and most important not busy but it was 6 a.m. ha ha. I ordered the egg beaters with the apple raising muffin. The muffin was sooooooooo tasty and moist and I like that the waitress suggested that it be cut in half and thrown on the stove for a minute. Added a nice, toasty texture to it. I also recommend the turkey sausage patties as they were tasty for being healthy. If you are looking for a quick, southern food experience because grandma is too busy then cracker barrel is the place.

The first time I came here I hated it and it has been 5 years since I came back. My experience changed quite a bit. The staff was very nice and greeted us promptly. The food is what you call typical, nothing special. However, the portion is huge and you'll be satisfied with whatever you order.

I love Cracker Barrels! Especially the country store. I have to shop before and after eating here. I find some great stuff - even clothing, if you can believe it. Every season has new and exciting decor and toys. Especially in the fall and Halloween time. I saw the CUTEST candy corn night cap several years back and every year I keep hoping they will stock it again because I WANT ONE!!! Food's good too!

Yes it's a Cracker Barrel and pretty much everyone has visited this establishment at one point in their life. This review is for their salads. I usually always get a comfort food dish such as chicken n dumplings, hashbrown casserole and corn muffins. Today though I chose differently due to the weight loss challenge I'm currently in. I went with their chef's salad and it was great. Full of real ham and turkey and a deviled egg. I saw that they had a corn relish featured on another salad and asked if they could put a scoop on mine-no problem. So even though CB is known for their not so healthy meals, there are plenty of healthy, tasty options to choose from.

It was an OK experience. Fast service, and affordable. Nothing special, but, not bad either. The poached eggs looked a bit odd, but tasted OK. The hashbrown was good. So, all in all, OK.

While we were in Florida we had breakfast here. OMG i LOVE their PANCAKES!!!!!!! They're huge so was unable to finish them. Had Momma's Breakfast and that was a lot of food. My BF had their stuffed french toast and it's wayyyyyyy better than Ihop. 2 Breakfast 2 Strawberry Iced Teas and some yummy biscuits...the damage was only $27.00

Well this is my first time at Cracker Barrel and the great service put my experience over the top! I was greeted by my server Billy Henry, who was full of smiles and extremely friendly. He was very knowledgable of all the dishes. My drink was never empty and the food came out prompt and 100% correct. I had a complicated order too, but he handled everything very well. I have to say I would come back just for the service.

We went for lunch last week on Friday. Our server was very friendly and professional. I had the turkey dinner lunch meal with turkey and gravy, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, and a bit of cranberry sauce. $5.99 for a good amount of food. I mean, it wasn't like a homemade Thanksgiving meal but it was really good. I will definitely have it again at some point. My husband had a breakfast meal which he said was very good. Great service, good food, good pricing, nice, clean restaurant. Even the people up front were very attentive and friendly while we waited in line to pay. Wonderful customer service in my book.

There is nothing better on this planet than Cracker Barrel biscuits and apple butter. Yum! But, I hesitate to come here because it is always crowded and you always have to wait.

This location always seems to be crowded which works well for the layout with all of the rocking chairs, checker boards and knick knacks for shopping. Cracker Barrel reminds me of roadtrips, since the only time I would ever see them or eat at them was during a rest stop. I always appreciate a place that serves breakfast all day long and the food quality here is a step up from the Waffle House and IHOP which is a good thing. The menu is diverse so everyone should find something appealing without much trouble. Just be smart about what you order here because some of the dishes pack in the calories - yes, that would be you, biscuits and gravy!

Standard Cracker Barrel. I was pleased. Wish there was more chicken on my chicken salad, but no qualms with anything. Service was good.

Decor is interesting. Walls are filled with old Victorian pictures and then you have sports equipment on another wall. Ordered the haddock with corn, baked sweet potato, brown rice pilaf and the biscuits. The haddock was nicely seasoned, crispy, but slightly overcooked. The corn was straight out of the can, gross. The sweet potato was yummy with the sugar and cinnamon. Didn't even need the butter it came with. The brown rice pilaf was pretty good and seasoned well. The biscuit was good as well. The hubby ordered the special which was chicken and rice smothered in mushroom and gravy. The chicken was very good, his only complaint was that the portions were pretty small. Between the biscuits and cornbread, definitely get the biscuits. The cornbread was pretty gross. As for service, the waitress was a bit awkward. Gave us the check while I was still eating my dinner. She must've been in a rush to go home. Good for a quick bite, that's about it.

Worst CB I have ever been to. Over easy eggs with hard cooked yolks, bone dry pork chops that he couldn't even swallow, dry dry dry hash brown casserole and the worst part? Not only was it bad food, it was ICE COLD bad food. Never again :(

I came here for dinner with my mom and her friend on a recent wednesday night. I have been to CB before, but mostly as a meal break when I'm on a road trip, don't normally go locally here at home. The decor and shopping here is standard - same at any location you go to. For my meal, I decided to stick with a classic and got the chicken 'n dumplins with corn and country greens on the side. While we were waiting for food the waitress brought out biscuits with butter and gravy as an app. The biscuits were kind of hard and not that tasty. I recently made grands biscuits from a can at home that were softer and fluffier than these. When our food arrived, it was a large portion size for the price and it was okay overall but the chicken and dumplins was a bit bland. Needed lots of salt and pepper to perk it up. All of the breakfast items i've had here were normally great, so maybe I'll stick with those next time. My mom had the catfish with broccoli on the side, which is part of their low cal healthy options menu and she liked her meal. The service was good overall, the prices are reasonable, my meal on this particular visit was not quite up to par, but since I've had other decent meals here before I'll be back.

Cracker Barrel is a standard breakfast place. They have been around long enough that most people have an expectation. For the most part they meet it. I enjoy their breakfast menu, always a fan of "Uncle Herschel's Favorite" which is just a big southern country breakfast. If you want the same but a little smaller try the "Old Timer" the only difference is you do not get a large meet with it. On my visit I had the Old Time which had eggs, bacon, hash brown casserole, grits, and biscuits with gravy. My favorite of these is the hash brown casserole which is shredded potatoes with cheese and onion. The rest of the breakfast is standard fair and came out as expected. Of course a visit to Cracker Barrel has the obligatory visit to the gift shop which has a lot of different varieties of candy, some toys and brain teasers, and country/southern style décor items. Great for a stop to kick off that road trip.

Good breakfast, but it was the service that makes me want to come back. We had Billy Henry as our server and he was great. I'd come back just for the service!!

When you're looking for consistently good southern cooking, look no further than this Cracker Barrel. I'll start off with the store part - the store side has a pretty large variety of items to buy, from Tate's Cookies and Moon Pies, to classic TV shows on DVD and a talking parrot toy. The staff members at the store are always nice and helpful. Moving on to the restaurant, I'll start off with the biscuits, and boy are they good! They have a slight sweet taste and once you have one bite, you want to keep eating and eating them till you're out of biscuits. They don't even need any kind of jam, jelly, or butter spread, they're good to eat even plain. The pancakes here are also very good. They're medium sized and then with the 100% pure syrup, you can't go wrong with those, but of course you can't go wrong with their crispy bacon and scrambled eggs either. I've mostly tried the breakfast items on the menu, but for the few times I've had a lunch or dinner menu item, they're good too. The service here is usually pretty good, except sometimes the food can take a while and the most recent time I ate here for dinner (as of writing this review) we weren't given the breakfast menu, which I thought was odd that we had to ask for it even though breakfast is served all day. Overall, my experience has been consistently good here and I will of course return.

First time at cracker barrel. Very disappointed. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was passable, but I've had much better at Denny 's. My wife had a hamburger and fries. The fries were soggy and cold. She called it the worst meal she's ever had.

Took the parents and grandparents on a family day and it was fantastic. Great variety of food, really reasonable price, friendly and fun staff and a nicely decorated environment. It's set as an old country house style complete with waiting area on the porch with rocking chairs...brilliant fun.

Service was better than at most locations and the food came out fairly quick. No real problems but also not over the top...

Can I get syrup to go? Trusted and true! The food and service were great as always. I went with the french toast this time instead of my trusty pancakes. There were so good and so filling! I also had eggs and as I ate them I wondered how they get their eggs to fluffy. Great breakfast spot!

First time at this restaurant. It is a cross-between Friday's and Denny's southern style. Servers were friendly and informative. The service was fast. Food was great. The atmosphere was very welcoming. It is a unique mixture of a southern merchandise store and a great family restaurant. It was all in all a great experience being a first-timer.

I am usually a fan of CB and figured we go here as an alternative to the FF options in the area. This review is based on a menu item or I should I say a non menu item. We were both in the mood for omelette but there is any listed on the menu so we asked our server and she said they do offer them but they are not on the menu, and they are amazing ,well now I know the reason they are NOT on the menu , the word amazing should never be used anywhere these Omelette's Ever! My 3 yr niece could make a better omelette with her toy kitchen. It was about 2 eggs with literally 3 mushrooms and a slice of cheese I could probably use as stock window tint. We asked prior to ordering how long it would take since we had a meeting soon, out sever said 7 min yea well 7 means 15 in CB time. Mind you were the 2 of 5 customers in the joint. So now we have to choke down our unsatisfactory breakfast in less than 10. They charged us $1,50 extra for 3 ( three ) mushrooms that the industrial size can of them probably cost them 1/4 of it It did come with 3 pieces of French toast that were undercooked as well. Total bill each was nearly $11 for what amounted to as 3 pieces of Below average French toast 2 eggs 2 small slices of bacon and 3 micro mushrooms. We told our server who I must point out was very nice that we were unhappy with our food and she said the manager would be out in a while to speak to us. We said initially we had limited time and now we have to wait till he decides to talk to us. I don't think so. He should've just split the bill in 1/2 I would been ok with that but he refused. The moral of the story , Unless you don't mind getting ripped off or you eat less than a bird , Do Not Order the Omelette's off their non menu for any reason. You have been warned.....

I love Cracker Barrel so it pains me to give it two stars, but it's not all Cracker Barrel restaurants, its just this one. The service wasn't that good to begin with. She forgot to give me the specials menu, which is what I wanted to order off of. Ten when it came time to pay, the cashier rushed me and seemed to have a little chip on her shoulder. I ordered the haddock and peach cobbler and my friend had a ribeye. We both had dumplings and green beans for a side. My haddock was over cooked, it was very dry and the breading was flavorless. The green beans and dumplings were good and my friend said the ribeye was surprisingly good for the price. The peach cobbler was just ok, didn't taste homemade like most of the food does. I'll go back if I can't find anywhere else to eat in the area, but I was not pleased with my meal.

Our luck to have a CB across the street from our hotel. We will usually hit up at least one on a vacation. Also a gift card to ease the expense does not hurt too. This is the second time I had visited this CB. I saw no change since last year when in the area. I am sure my kids are so different than yours and love to check out the store with all the toys and candy prior to checking in for the meal. I am the strong one and say NO, most of the time... but hey it's vacation so I am weak. Luckily it was not too busy and we were seated immediately. The climate was not too hot outside, but as you know in Florida they love to blast the AC and it was chilly. Our server immediately took drink orders and was friendly. After all was said and done drink orders were at the table in a timely manner and food orders were taken for the party of four. The only hitch here was it would have been nice for the waitress to mention there was gravy on a dish my son ordered. The dining room was around half full at 7 PM and empty tables were cleaned. Floor was free of debris and I did see the manager roaming around which is a great sign. I know each CB is unique in what they put out and many have items that are local, but I just don't pay attention to it. The plate of biscuits and corn bread came out just before our food which was a nice appetizer. The entrees were out within 20 minutes of our order and looked great. I had the Roast Beef that was topped with gravy that was pretty tasty. In my opinion it had a little too much fat on the ends and a nice touch would have been to trim it off. My wife had the pecan crusted Cat Fish and really enjoyed. Daughter had the Mac n' Cheese which is an upgrade from Kraft and son had the Chicken fried chicken and he ate is all after scraping the gravy off. Our server was around, but did not check back in with us after the crucial few minutes after delivery to see if we had everything, food tasted good etc. I did have to call her over for a drink refill. Overall service was good. When finishing up the waitress was no where to be found and the kids and wife were ready to go and when to the store area to kill time. I ended up having to ask another waiter to let her know we needed a bill. After paying for the meal I asked for the credit card receipt minus the gift card. However, according to the woman I had to ask prior to her ringing me out, so she could only provide the long itemized receipt. The store presented well and CB does a great job in this area. My wife happen to find a VT sweatshirt that she loved, in all places Florida. The entire display was devoted to UF, so this was a weird find. Once checking out we learned this was a return months ago from a customer that bought it in VA. The sweatshirt is really soft, has the special thumb holes to pull it around the top of your hands and was a perfect fit. So this may have been the best part about the visit. Check them out. Great location off Ulmerton and the Hwy. Several hotels in the area such as the Hampton Inn too.

This Cracker Barrel is minutes from the Clearwater Airport and near our hotel. We arrived at 7am and had an excellent waitress. She was very helpful, knew the menu cover to cover and made our experience better. The food is typical for a fast food establishment. Cracker Barrel is a great place for breakfast and one that's perfect for the family. You can get out quickly or stay and take your time. Both are suitable here. The food is average and affordable. Come expecting that and you'll go home happy, especially with how good our service was here.

I always enjoy visiting a Cracker Barrel and this one was not a disappointment. I was quickly seated and the waitress came right over. I had beef soup, chief salad and apple pie ( I know I eat to much) and every dish was prepress excellently and timely. Defiantly will go back.

The beauty of Cracker Barrel's is that the are the same, and wherever you stop at one, you know what you to expect food-wise. Once in a while you come across one that stands out because of their staff - wait staff and store staff. This one has some of the friendliest store staff that I've ever run across in all the Cracker Barrel's I've been to - very friendly and helpful. My meal was very good - I'm a sucker for good Chicken and Dumplin's, and my expectations were definitely met the night we had dinner here on 4/26/2015. My husband's meal - chicken livers and veggies - was very disappointing for him. The chicken livers were terribly over-cooked, and he was really disappointed by that. The waitress could see he wasn't eating much of his main dish and never said a word, never asked how our meals were, etc. A missed opportunity that night to show the caliber of service most Cracker Barrels have that we've been to.

Every time I go to this cracker barrel I've been greeted by every staff member with nothing but friendliness & a good warm meal. I remember when we used to take ski trips up north, one of the highlights we all looked forward to was to visit cracker barrel since there were no locations in the city. As Floridians we are fortunate to be surrounded by a multitude of cracker barrel locations & with the best part being that the quality & service does not suffer one bit! When I'm looking for some good wholesome low cost cooking this is my place to visit. From the hostess, to the waiter, to even the checkout person on the register I can always count on great service and a smile. Almost like a local diner type of feel to it. Thank you ! I usually come here on Sundays because they have the homestyle chicken w/Corn & Apple Sauce which is my favorite meal in the house but is unfortunately only served on Sundays I only wish they would put this on the regular menu otherwise I would be coming every day!

We both love Cracker Barrel- honestly, we haven't been to a location that did not deliver. But this is the one we frequent the most. Justin always gets the roast beef- he says it reminds him of grandma's. I vary with my orders- but my favorite would have to be this Beef Campfire special they have- it tastes exactly like beef pot roast I used to make (and mysteriously stopped)...it comes out served in wrapped up aluminum foil so you can open it up yourself, and the ingredients continue to soak in the juices as you eat. Divine. We will be back, as this location is conveniently on the way to 275!

This location is located right off Ulmerton. Haven't had a problem parking yet. We were immediately greeted as we entered the store on our way toward the restaurant area. We were seated quickly, our server was friendly and our food came out fast. I ordered the Sunrise Sampler which came with two eggs, grits, biscuits and gravy, fried apples, hash browns, sausage, bacon and ham. YES! Lots of food and I couldn't finish it all. Good thing my son was there to help me! He had the kid's one egg meal which came with a biscuit. That didn't fill him up at all, but I gave him half my meal. Everything tasted great, no complaints here. Bacon was crispy, grits were creamy and REALLY good. Good food at cheap prices. Breakfast any time of the day and southern style dinner meals. You really can't go wrong here (or at least I haven't).

Cannot get enough of this place! I usually dine here once a week. Food is awesome and the staff, for the most part, are very pleasant (hey every restaurant has that one "bad apple" lol). Food wise, in the 7 or so years I've been coming here, I can count on one hand the number of bad experiences. Even with those bad experiences, the was quick to comply.

Cracker Barrel is a Cracker Barrel, If you have ever had the chance to eat here you know the "home cooking" menu has many options to pick from. Keep in mind any daily specials or seasonal specials. It was crazy busy here today when we stopped in for lunch while traveling so the food took a bit longer than usual. The only serious negative feed back I can give is how disgusting the woman's bathroom was. For some reason this chain has the most disgusting restrooms, there are gas station/rest stops that are extremely clean. It was so gross I had to walk out. They seem to have a lot is staff walking around would be nice to have someone clean and keep up with the cleanliness. Gross.
