This place was awesome! The service was great no complaints and the staff were so nice! The fried chicken.... OMG... the fried chicken!! It takes 25 minutes but it's so delicious! Brandon and I both had the same thing only he had the regular version which is a 1/2 chicken and i just had white meat so there were 2 chicken breasts. I had a salad to start and Brandon had the chicken soup both were very good, the meal came with a basket of various buns and corn bread :) which was very tasty! Our main course came with mashed potatoes and some vegetables but we opted out of those... after all we're eating fried chicken! All that food and 2 drinks came to $23 !!!! THAT'S CRAZY!!!!! Awesome place, and it's right down the street from us we will definitely be back!

Stopped in on a Sunday evening after a day at the beach. I had the "Atkins" dinner plate which consisted of a salad, chicken breast (in teryaki sauce which usually isn't technically Atkins friendly but I went with it), 3 shrimp, and cottage cheese. It was a ton of food and I could not eat it all. The salad was fine; fresh and cold with nice red tomatoes. It was the typical iceberg lettuce instead of greens, but it is a family-style "country" diner so that's to be expected. Dad had the pan fried fish which was a very generous portion and also came with salad, veggies, and choice of spud. Hubby had the fried pork chops, which were very thick, nice sized and heavily breaded - all of which would have been fab if the oil hadn't been just a little past the dumping point. It was late on a Sunday evening though so HOPEFULLY we arrived pre-dump and they started with fresh oil this morning. We will have to go back to find out. We were greeted casually but friendly and told we could choose our table or booth. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Since it was our first time in, she gave us free dessert they offer (2pm-6pm daily) despite our having come in a bit after the cut-off. As far as I could tell the place was clean in a country family diner sort of way. All in all it was a good experience and we will be back on a Wednesday to check out the fried chicken and see if that oil really was just a one-off.

every time i am in clearwater i go to this restaurant for breakfast. the food is great - typical morning breakfast fare. the service is always spot on, the portions huge, and the price is right. i cannot get enough of the country fried steak and eggs - and hashbrowns from heaven... i have never eaten any meal but breakfast there - but i am sure lunch and dinner are just as great!

Good diner food and breakfast. If you want prime rib or a good steak there are better places to go. The soups are awesome. Most of the wait staff are great. Prices are reasonable.

This is a nice little family owned restaurant on missouri ave in Clearwater. I frequently go here for breakfast, day or night. The prices can't be beat. I usually get eggs, bacon, toast, home fries, and they also bring out fresh muffins for breakfast. All this for about $5, seriously. The service is good but can occasionally be slow. Overall this is the best breakfast in Clearwater in my opinion. You should really try it out and you won't be sorry.

A surprisingly good breakfast, I don't know why I wasn't expecting much here - maybe because our experiences with St. Pete area breakfast places have been less than stellar, but maybe I should give Clearwater some more credit. This was really good comfort food. The service did leave a little to be desired. Waitress took forever to get our order, then disappeared except when she had to show up (drop the food and the check), but then again, we just finished a 9 mile run before coming here, so there's a good chance she stayed away because we smelled awful (I know I did). In fact, we probably offended every table around us. Anyway, moving on... I was trying to decide between the lunberjack breakfast (similar to the one they have at Denny's) or the country skillet, which was ham, potatoes, tomatoes, onion, peppers, eggs and toast. Ended up going with the skillet even though the lumberjack came with more but was only 50 cents more expensive. That said, I'm glad I did. The potatoes were cooked almost perfect. The eggs were good, veggies crispy, and it was a lot of food. If I had one "complaint" besides the service and how badly I stunk, it would be that the toast might have had a stick of butter on each slice. I love butter just as much as the next guy - in fact, more than him (get that guy away from my butter) - but toast should still be a bit crispy; not drowning in a vat of butter. Like I said, a good, inexpensive, big meal o' comfort food. Just don't sit near my table. Trust me.

I went there today for the first time, and, based on prior reviews, I went with the fried chicken special. It was a soup sort of day, so I elected to go with the split pea soup instead of the salad. It was delicious and filling. The chicken and fries came out next, it was more chicken than I expected; a thigh, a leg, a breast and a wing. Everything was very good. Total bill for soup, 4 pieces of chicken, fries and a drink? $9.62. You really can't beat the food for the price. The atmosphere is so so, and the service isn't exceptional, although the wait staff did seem very friendly. I'll be back to try their brisket and breakfast.

It's been quite a while since we've been here. We happened in on a Wednesday night and it was virtually deserted with maybe four tables. As we sat down, we noticed that one of their specials was the 1/2 fried chicken. The waitress said that it would take about 20 minutes and we said, "OK." What a pleasant surprise! For $8.99 you get soup or salad(I had the tossed salad with 1k Island), veg(peas and carrots..burp), potato(I had fries) and fried chicken. The portion reminded me of the chicken featured in the 1961 movie Mysterious Island...it was big! The only problem is that they only offer their pan fried chicken on Wednesdays. Another positive was the staff. Everyone was friendly and treated us like they had known us for years. The restaurant is usually packed for breakfast and lunch but it is quite accessible for dinner. Give it a try!

You know when you want a good meal, yet you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it, and want to go casual to boot. This is one of my go to places. We've been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed. On this visit we both felt like having Roast Turkey dinners. My Bride opted for the small plate while I (of course) had the regular portion. Both came with mashed potato, veggie, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce, rolls and corn bread. I tell you this meal hit the spot for both of us. My wife chose the Wedding Soup, while I had their Chicken Roselleni soup. Both were very good. Total bill with two soft drinks $19.68. Can't beat that. Let me tell you about the Chicken Roselleni, It's like Jewish Penicillin! It's so good when you have a cold or just don't fell well. This soup will help put you back in order, trust me (I actually have slept at a Holiday Inn, several times) it works! Another plus for this restaurant is that on Thanksgiving and Christmas they serve " family style" dinners. Which means one price, all you can eat, served by the platters of food. This all comes with soup, rolls, and a desert. Best value in the area by far. Country Harvest is a free standing building ( it used to be a Bob Evans 20 years ago) in the strip mall which has a Publix North of Lakeview Rd on S. Missouri Ave in Clearwater.

I had dinner here with my Mom, and the food was delicious! I had an Oktoberfest special, homemade bratwurst with red cabbage and sauerkraut that was really really tasty. I could both see and taste the fact that all three items were homemade, which in this day and age is both unusual and impressive. Mom had a spinach salad that she enjoyed, and homemade French onion soup that was very tasty. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. One bit of advice....sit well away from the bar if well lubricated a-little-too-loud banter isn't your cup of tea. I will be back for more! I liked it!

They have great prices here! Friendly fast service too. Better then the chain restaurants in my opinion and of course being about two blocks from my house always helps too. Typical home cooked food.

The staff are very friendly. The food was good; they give you so MUCH!!! For the price, you can't beat. It's a very wholesome, family oriented restaurant. It's cute, and the devour makes you feel very comfortable.

I must have showed up on a bad day. After seeing the reviews and the ratings I thought this would be a good place to go. Goes to show you can't always go by ratings and reviews. The place is a dump. Stay away from the restroom in less you want to get sick. Very dirty and a horrible smell. I went on a wednesday around 5:30 PM. The place had very few customers. Took a time to get seated because They had to figure out who's turn is it next to have a customer. That became an argument between two waitresses. Service was poor. I ordered the special fried chicken. She told me it would take 20 minutes because they fry fresh. There was nothing fresh about that fried chicken. The green beans taste like they were canned the mashed potatoes which are supposed to be fresh taste Instant. I could only one piece of the fried chicken. I decided well I'm trying to dessert mistake still chocolate cake which I found out afterwards that they bought from the store. To top it off there was a drunk sitting at the bar that the employees ragging on so it is very loud and obnoxious. I think they want to be a bar that has food my suggestion is you want home-cooked food this is not the place.

We've been searching high and low for good fried chicken and have not been able to find it since we moved here. Finally we stumbled onto Country Harvest! Their cast iron, pan fried chicken is so delicious! Just a little FYI- it takes 20 minutes to cook and they only do it on Wednesday nights. Also, the corn bread is like angles dancing on your tongue. The staff is so friendly, too. We will most certainly be back to try more items on the menu! YUM!

We decided we wanted breakfast so we decided to try this place as it was close by and they have a steak and eggs special for $4.99! I can't even get a cheap steak at the store for this price and then to cook and clean this is a steal. We were expecting the steak to be some hacked piece of steak or something of very cheap quality but surprisingly the steak was tender and had plenty of flavor where I didn't need any steak sauce. The steak was between 7 and 8 ounces which was just right. You also get 3 eggs which were cooked perfectly, homefries or grits which I didn't not have and toast. We also shared a side of bacon which was just ok. Definitely had better. The interior even though "country themed" looks dated and can use a refresh. I can't comment about any of the other food they offer but based on what I had and for the price it was excellent.

I like this restaurants food. It has a home cooked quality to it. The only thing I don't like about this place is that you sometimes have to have to wait for someone to seat you, or wait on you, on days when they are not busy.

Best and cheapest Steak & Eggs i've found. This restaurant is as good for breakfast as it is for dinner. Ate here at least 6 times, and I was not disappointed. Very affordable, large menu, and a full bar! They sometimes have live music at night. Can't beat the prices!
