Best (and basically only) NY style pizza you'll find in Clearwater. They deliver, which is awesome, and have pretty much anything you would find in a pizzeria in NY. They were closed for a week once and I had a mini panic attack lol. Toppings are good, but sparse. Salads and wings are good, though I prefer more sauce on my wings. Again, definitely the best you'll find in the area.

Former Bronx girl giving Bro's Pizza the thumbs up! Thank you for saving my Pizza loving life in Florida. Tastes like home :)

Good pizza, good wings, good knots. My only complaint is sometimes they leave the slices in the oven too long and over cook them. Otherwise probably the best pizza in Downtown Clearwater and top 5 in all of Pinellas.

Not terribly far off the mark for a NY-style pie, but not terrific either. Points for a crust with more or less the right feel (although not so good you'd want to eat it on its own), the right type of sauce, and the correct thickness. However, the cheese was kind of overcooked and lifeless and overall the pie needed more seasoning. It hit the spot in a pinch for sure, but I'm not sure it could compete on Flatbush Avenue--we're definitely not in Brooklyn anymore.

Solid NY style pizza, but nothing exceptional about it. The great price performance for its proximity to Clearwater Beach and the Pier, though, would definitely bring me back. They offer both takeout and dine-in, which is why we picked Bros, and their dining room exceeded expectations. They even have a quieter back room that can accommodate a good-sized group! It fits the niche for near-beach dining, but isn't going to knock your socks off.

Really good pizza at a reasonable price. I stopped here after visiting the Methodist Church on the corner and boy am I happy I did. It's thin crust New York style pizza and while I'm no expert on the form it was really good. The crust was crunchy but not dry the toppings were fresh and the whole thing was not greasey. The best part was I got two slices, 6 garlic knots (also really good) and a large drink for 8 dollars and change. So yeah give them a try when you're in this part of the world.

We love their pizza and they provide quality ingredients. Tip; try the Uncle Franks pizza! Delicious and yummy! We love it and get the Caesar salad with the dressing on the side. Beware of the drivers , ask for the total before they deliver and ask for a receipt.

If your a kid or in your teens you'll like it. Got the all meat and there was hardly any toppings. Had it delivered to my hotel they only brought one cheese, no peppers, plates, napkins etc. Would not be back

I'm really glad that I found this place! Trying to find a sit-down restaurant around this area that is open after 10pm on a Friday or Saturday is not easy. This was a highly rated establishment on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. When you first walk in it's not readily apparent if you should sit down at a table for someone to take your order or go around to the counter and place your order. The whole place is pretty cramped. I had to squeeze past a few people just to get to the drink machine. The place is small but it is very clean and nicely constructed with lots of marble. It didn't take long at all for our pizza to be brought out to us. I love it when see herbs added to the top of a pizza. It usually shows that a place really care about getting the flavor right. I have to say that the pizza was delicious and we all really enjoyed it. The crust and sauce were especially good. I can say without question that I will be coming back here next time I'm in the Clearwater area.

Wow!! Yummy pizza. Loved the specialty slices so much I made 2 visits in one week. The slices were huge and toppings were fresh with lots of flavor. As for service, the first visit the employees weren't overly friendly thats for sure. Second time, they warmed up to me. Both times they were busy with many others who appreciate good food. Will write more when I try other items on the menu. The gnocchi's sound like a good choice!

This review is for the pizza only. It's good pizza, it's not great pizza. I ordered what's called the large special on the menu (I point this out because I have no idea why it's called that when you can order it in a medium size? Just kinda strange) This was takeout on a Friday night and thank God for that because it's always hot as balls in that place. Uncomfortably so, as in I had to wait 5 minutes before it was done and was already starting to glisten. (Southern women don't sweat, it's unbecoming) Keep that in mind when deciding to take out or eat in. I've had lunch single slices and they are always pretty good, which is why I thought hey, if warmed up slices are decent then a whole fresh pie will be even better. It wasn't. The sausage was the thin and tasteless variety, which blows my mind because I've had single slices that had the real hunks of Italian sausage, why would you use anything else, especially if you have the good kind? Here's the real kicker: CANNED MUSHROOMS. That is a sin against mankind right there. Upon placing the order, I specifically asked the dude "is it worth getting extra cheese?" He said it comes with tons of cheese so I didn't get extra. Big mistake, really skimpy cheese portion. Bottom line, I'll get a slice here and there (when I can actually see it before I order) but won't be ordering a whole pie again. One last note, it was pretty cheap close to $15 for a medium so the price was right.

Nice little family owned pizza parlor over in downtown Clearwater area. It's close to my work and one of the only decent pizza places around, so whenever I'm looking for a slice I come here. They have a few different lunch specials including 2 slices and a drink, or 1 slice a side salad and a drink, or a sub and fries which are all priced between $5-7 bucks, not bad for a tasty lunch. I also like it because they have tons of different pizza options here and even when they are busy at lunchtime they rarely run out of any. My favorite is the Michelle's (which is the white pizza with chicken) and the buffalo chicken pizza is good too although it is quite a bit spicier than I would expect. I also like the slices since they're nice and thin. The side salads are good as well, they put a few different toppings on top to give it good flavor and the italian dressing is zesty and tastylicious. This is a pretty small place, there's a few small round tables out front, a few inside and a few more on the patio out back, so it does get a bit hard to find a table sometimes. Luckily they are always quick with bringing out the order so it's not a big deal to take it to go. My only complaint is that one time my work ordered delivery from here for a group of 20 people and they messed up the order. They were very late bringing it and the pizzas weren't quite right, but they did make it up to us with a discount and they apologized so it wasn't a huge deal. While i probably wouldn't order another large delivery order, I will go here again to grab a quick slice on my lunch break.

Was reluctant to order delivery with all the negative reviews on it, but did so anyway. They predicted 30-40 minutes and it arrived within around 35 minutes. Food was good. Pizza there is really great. We ordered the margharita pizza and a salad. Salad is pretty plain but fresh. Only wish they'd sent plates, forks and napkins with the order.

Awesome pizza. The best meal I've had since getting here, at a quarter of the cost. Skip all those tourist traps on the beach and eat here. We had a couple of Cesar salads and a large pizza. Salads were very good and fresh, the pizza is New York style thin and well made.

This pizza is delicious. Crunchy cheesy deliciousness! I will definitely go again just for the smells alone. Way to kick start my apetite. ;) ......the garlic knots need to taste more like garlic tough

Best pizza in the area!! We are from Philly and have a hard time finding good pizza around Clearwater. Bros Pizza is delicious, and the pies are huge!! I gave four stars because their delivery is terrible, always do pick up because you will wait an hour plus for pizza to be delivered.

I have to knock this place down a notch now after several more orders. The uncle frank's is probably their best pizza, if you go for something like a meat lovers it doesn't have the delicious garlic flavor. They've also messed up my order a couple of times now, but I give them credit for making it right each time.

By far the Best Pizza in Clearwater! Lived by Clearwater Beach for over 2 years and had a lot of Pizza around here but this was by far the best. Great big pie's and the pizza was always spot on. Just beware if you are ordering during peak time it can take up to an hour and a half to get your pie because of how backed up they get. Other then that highly recommended!

Amazing pizza! Stands out of the crowd for this area of Pinellas county! Subs and calzones are amazing as well! Try them out! I get food from here almost every week!

Wow, this place is good. Was searching for a new pizza place to try and found this one due to the positive reviews on yelp. This place did not disappoint. Ordered two large pizzas for carry out and drove myself crazy smelling them all the way home. Loved the crust, sauce , cheese... all of it. Had the "uncle franks" and a pepperoni. Everyone in the family loved them, which never happens with any pizza place. Not real convenient to my home but it will be worth the effort.

Bros pizza is truly a gem of Clearwater. I've ordered from them twice to feed a large office and each time they were a big hit. Definitely order their margarita pizza with the fresh mozzarella and basil. It's delish!

Very good huge pies, with a great garlic crust. . Prices are quite reasonable. Delivery to local area a big plus, their antipasta salad is good but I have had better.

Really good pizza, but you have to go there to get it because IF they will deliver to the beach it will take forever to get it. Place could make a fortune delivering to hotels on beach since only competition is horrible Captains Pizza and dive place called Kings pizza that has been 4 other pizza places in past 5 years... Bros has their market Clearwater, Belleair and apparently they don't feel the need to deliver to the beaches. Sometimes they will - but you almost have to beg.

Hands down some of the finest New York style, non-woodburning oven, thin crust pizza I've had in the Tampa area (and I've tasted quite a few). Extraordinarily fresh ingredients make their pies absolute taste sensations. Close your eyes and bite into a Margherita or White slice, and I swear you'll hear the sounds of NY in your head. Don't dare bother with ordering their value-priced, 2 huge slice lunch special (although it's a great deal). Buy a whole pie, as you'll want to take home the rest when you're finished! Great sandwiches and Italian entrees as well.

Stopped by Friday evening (June 15th) to pick up a couple of subs. I had not been to Brothers in about a year & had previously been there only twice. Once I had gotten a pizza & the other visit I got an Italian sub. I was pleased on both occasions. Unfortunately I cannot say the same on the Friday visit. I ordered 1 hot Italian and 1 Philly Cheesesteak sub. I believe most folks would agree that if the sub roll is bad, it doesn't matter what's put in it, it's not going to be good. The bread, in places was hard and in places Chewey - like when you take a frozen bun that's been in your freezer for a year and try to salvage it in the microwave. Sorry Brothers, I was really pulling for you to become a place I might stop by more often. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly, the place appeared clean and my service was quick. I may eventually go back and give them one more shot with the pizza but it will be awhile.

  • Geno K.

Good. Not at all spectacular. Had a slice of pepperoni with various othe rmeats and a sicilian slice of cheese. Not bad pizza, but not sure this place is deserving of all the glowing reviews. Maybe they just have a lack of competition in the area.

  • Jason R.

This is the kind of pizza I grew up on and you can get it by the slice. This is more Jersey style than New York, meaning it is a little thinner and not quite as wet with sauce. You can always tell a good pizza place by a slice of their plain cheese. The cheese is perfect, not too oily but not too dry either and it folds perfect so you can eat it they way you are supposed to. And if you use a knife and fork, may god have pity on your soul. They make a pretty stellar thin crust Sicilian pie they call a Mamma Mia, when it isn't sold out. Their sandwiches are pretty good, but can be great if you can talk them into making it on pizza crust bread... a little secret only some regulars know. The seating is limited but it is great for take out or delivery.

I was introduced to Bro's when I took a job as a front desk clerk at a nearby hotel. When they would make a delivery, they'd drop off an extra two slices that were grabbed out of the case at random for the employees to try and recommend. This pizza is awesome, and the slices are huge. I've had the traditionals like pepperoni and sausage, I've had the Sicilian, the white pizza, Margarita, Hawaiian, and the meat lovers. All have been some of the best that I've had, even if they were sitting in the back office for a few hours before I started my shift (graveyard, ick). Every guest that ordered Bro's off my suggestion would also comment on how good the pizza was, and a few of the longer staying or repeat guests would order multiple times and forgo the many other choices of delivery that were available to them. They're also so concerned about pleasing their customers, that they've delivered pizzas to the hotel that were ordered after they were officially closed. I don't know of any other place that would do that (and I've tried). The only thing I've had from Bro's that I didn't particularly care for were the garlic knots. Too much oil, and the spices left an aftertaste for several hours after. Also, the walk in wait times can be a bit long sometimes, which made sneaking down on my occasional day shift lunch break a difficult task.

I spent 4 years in upstate NY and went for a slice at least twice a week (and more after a night out drinking); I am REALLY picky about pizza and will ONLY eat true NY style. My boyfriend spent 5 years in Miami trying to find a good authentic NY style pizza joint and was sad when he moved to Clearwater as he would have to "find a replacement for Steve's Pizza." not only did he approve of Bros, but he said, "this is better than Steve's!" I don't ever eat pepperoni, but the pizza was so good, I even ate a slice with some on it! I think it's been close to a year since I last had pizza (because I'm so picky), but I'll gladly go back to Bros! I do have to say I wasn't so impressed with the garlic knots, the flavor was good, but they were a little dry for my liking. *Update* Do not get it delivered; it took 1 1/2 hours to actually get the pizzas when I was told it would take only 45 minutes. My individual slice of veggie (the bf got a whole everything pizza) was crammed in a paper bag and smushed :-( I'd still give them 5 stars, but only if picking up in person. For delivery, I'd knock them down to 3...

The pizza was fine. Had the special and the white pizza. Not too crazy about the white pizza. Have had better. Overall it wasn't bad, but nothing too outstanding.

Great pizza! New York style and done right. If you order a slice it goes in the oven to be reheated and comes out tasting great! You can taste the quality of the ingredients. Unlike some places that have cheese slices and throw on your toppings Bros has a good variety of slices available. I think the pizza tastes better this way.

This charming little Pizzeria--and much more--restaurant is not to be missed. I've now been here on several occasions, and the quality is consistent. My first time I had a slice of white pizza, the best I have ever tasted (and I lived in New York for ten years). The vegetable toppings that automatically come on it boost the flavor from the typical, sometimes bland version you get at most pizza places. For a mere $10.99 they have an amazingly large and delicious cheese pizza that can't be beat locally. It's so good, that two hungry folks can polish off the whole thing, in spite of its massive size. Simply EVERYthing I saw here looked fantastically appetizing, and I imagine they would all taste equally good. One wonderful scene was the owner/chef''s elderly mother (looking just like my Italian grandmothers in black dress) quietly eating a marvelous looking homemade soup. The interior is very inviting and clean as a whistle. Any child will enjoy watching the pies being made. Not a first date place--wait until she's your girlfriend, and then watch her eyes open in taste heaven. You have to try Bro's...like me, you'll certainly come back for more.

My NY friends say this place is pretty darn NY-style. I am by no means an expert on the NY-ness of pizza so all I can say is that the pizza here is real good. So good in fact that this is my favorite Pinellas County cheap lunch pizza spot. And how can you not love having lunch here when it is so good and you get 2 slice with a drink for about $6? They usually have some kind of chicken alfredo pizza which is one of my favorites, but when it comes to the traditional pizzas like the margharita, this place can do no harm. The toppings are always controled and balanced, the crust is sublime as well. I always get an extra order of the garlic knots, they are some of the best in the big ocean of garlicky-bread sides served at pizzerias. The inside is nothing special but has that special pizzeria hominess to it and the staff is almost always quite friendly. I look forward to this frequenting this place for a while to come.

Bros Pizza is located in downtown Clearwater near my work and it is a a very good representation of New York style pizza. Not overly greasy like a bad wanna be New York place. The crust is thin and and has a good chew to it and that is definitely the key to the authenticity of the taste. Slices were absolutely huge. I ordered a 2 slice and a drink lunch special for $5.95 and the slices probably came from an 18" pie that had been sliced into eighths. I had to fold it over just to be able to fit it in my mouth to eat. That being said even though the slice was huge the crust held it up with out sagging which is a good sign. The sauce had nice big green basil leaves in it, and tasted good and the the cheese tasted great too. I was very happy with the pizza and the location is conviently located in the same plaza that has Roly Poly and Jimmy Johns. While Cristinos Coal Fired right down the street has a more gourmet and better tasting pie this one is still excellent and is a much more traditional New York style pie. They have flavors available by slice and are displayed behind a glass counter and when you order it, they pop it back into the oven for a quick reheat. My cheese slices that I ordered came fresh out of the oven and were not reheated so they probably tasted better than the stuff that had been sitting out. The menu also features hot and cold subs, pastas, calzones, and strombolis. It will be a good place to add to anyone's lunch time rotation here in Clearwater.

Delicious, homemade tasting lasagna. It seemed like it was freshly made and worth waiting about 20 minutes for it. And the garlic knots, mmmm yummy!. Only reason not 5 stars is the layout of the place. There is no room to wait at the counter, no place to get out of the way. Switching the pizza cases with the ordering counter would have avoided this logjam. But at any rate, I'll be back!

We went here when we visited Clearwater, and it was very good pizza. Its a small eating place, but does a lot of carryout (it seemed). There arent too many places open late in Clearwater, so this was a good find.

Great pizza and subs. The subs come with french fries. I don't eat fries too much but I always allow myself the fries at Bro's because they are really good.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
