Ran across this local joint last night and glad we did. The bartenders were awesome as well as the food. Taco Tuesday - the fish tacos were delicious highly recommend. We also ordered the Hawaiian pizza which was delicious as well. Can't wait to go back!
We just bought a house in Clearwater and are totally psyched that this will be are neighborhood bar and grill. People are so friendly and there are games on all the time. Happy hour starts at 11 am so enough said.... Super kid friendly, there were a bunch of families eating lunch when we first came in and each dish was a pleasant surprise. You can tell they put extra thought and effort into each dish prepared. Pizza as good as anywhere, fish tacos so full of meat and seasoned perfectly with blackening/Cajun seasoning, great burgers, killer quesadilla, mouthwatering buffalo shrimp, and we always try their daily specials no matter what they are. (Ipswich fried clams fav so far) Hope to see you all there, you won't be disappointed. I don't write many reviews so cheers!
Great place the burger is huge and big with so much flavor best burger i ever had no lie and they have a fully stalked bar

We decided to give this place a shot for a dinner for 7 (they take reservations). FANTASTIC! A must try! We have ate at a few restaurants in Clearwater but weren't amazed but this one was by far terrific! For some starters we ordered the salsa trio which came with chips, guacamole and 2 salsas (guacamole was delish), turkey and Brie donut holes (sound interesting but are shockingly amazing), chicken nachos and a think crust cheese pizza. They were all great! As our entrees we ordered spaghetti, chicken burrito bowl (without beans because we aren't a fan of beans! And we mixed in sour cream instead), chicken quesadillas, spicy ground beef burrito, chicken Alfredo. They catered to many of our need quickly and had great service! They brought out lemons immediately after we requested them along with requested donut holes for the kiddos. Anyways, this is a must try when searching for a good restaurant and is a very nice location next door to a great dessert place as well!
A must try! Great service and the pizzas are amaze balls! Erin was very friendly and recommended some wines from their extensive list.
Patio music and drinking wine next to the beach is always great.

I was at a conference at the Sheraton and there weren't many options; a lot of fast food restaurants in the area. They didn't really have any veggie options so I asked if they could prepare a pasta dish for me. It took a little wrangling but the waiter came back and said the chef could comply. The chef tried a little to hard and put every vegetable he/she could find in their kitchen in the pasta including edamame. It was weird. I had asked for a few specific things but somehow the communication didn't get through. The dish wasn't bad nor was it good. There was a lot of it, that was for sure. I remember clicking my heels to remind myself I was no longer in the SF Bay Area because the waiter was about the opposite of a "foodie" -- mispronouncing vegetables and fairly ignorant. But hey...it's Florida...they know seafood!
My husband and I have eaten at Rusty's several times since moving to Clearwater and every visit has been wonderful. They are located inside the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. I recommend using the valet parking, as finding a parking space can be difficult at times. I haven't tried all of their dinner menu items, but on our last visit, I had the Mediterranean Risotto. This dish came with leeks, mushrooms and grilled artichokes. It was outrageously delicious! Best risotto I've ever had. The dinner buffet is pretty good too and has lots of items to choose from including different variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, and other side dishes. The salad bar has a nice assortment of veggies as well as different types of fruits. If you don't eat at the salad bar then I highly recommend their caprese salad, it was so good that I ordered two of them. For dessert I had the vanilla crème brulee with fresh berries and it was ahhhh-mazing, needless to say I left Rusty's very full and very happy. The live music adds a touch of class to the place and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Definitely worth a visit even if you're not a guest of the hotel.
Last night in town and finally decided to eat at the restaurant in my lobby. Had a very good meal. The conch chowder was a bit watery but the flavor if the chowder more than made up for it. For an entree I got the seafood extravaganza. So good! The seafood (scallops, shrimp, grouper) were cooked perfectly. The sauce served over it was delicious and the mixed veggies were cooked perfect. The only downside to the dish was the rice seemed a little undercooked, but overall the dish was in point. And the service was absolutely top notch. Ryan was excellent and able to answer any question I had. I will definitely come back the next time I am in Clearwater.

Music was a little loud but away from the chaos of other bars, lovely sunsets and you can't beat the 32oz rum runners but request less ice!
Average bar food, average service, average crowd, average prices (for the area.) The draw here is none of the above...it's the location for watching the sunset.
In the Quality Inn hotel. By serious construction. Nice but small bar and small beach. Quaint but friendly. Very nice for sunsets.

I think all IHOPs are the same, which is good when you want a fast, hot breakfast in a new place. The french toast was perfect, the coffee was hot and free-flowing, and the service was attentive. And, now that the "all you can eat pancake" special is back, i have a feeling there will be many happy customers!

I am pretty excited I have decided to add Tate's Island Grill to my rotation of must stop spots in Clearwater Beach when I don't have my doggie with me. I love how it's on the beach. I love how carefree and comfortable it is, and I love that I can feel like I'm in vacation mode. We came for drinks. We simply walked from the beach to here, grabbed a spot by the bar, had a nice view by the pool and the lush palm trees, and drank up our frozen drinks, a Pina colada and Miami Vice - combo of strawberry daiquiri and Pina colada. Totally froo froo and fun. You can also eat here. They have apps, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and 'sserts. This spot is perfect for when the sunset comes. You can sit by the bon fire or the hammocks. It's in the back of Sandpearl resort, but public are invited. Love this spot, and our bartender took care of us. Happy Place!!!!!!
This was our favorite dinner experience, which combined a casual atmosphere, without the usual loud and boisterous beach drunk vibe, good food, and an AMAZING sunset view. Located on the beach as part of the Sandpearl Beach Resort, this place served mostly sandwiches and salads, a few appetizer options, and a wide variety of drinks. I had a side salad (fresh lettuce, tomato, cheese, croutons, ranch) that I would describe as a solid standard, a Cuban sandwich and house made chips. The Cuban came with mayo on the side, which I prefer, as I'm not in to overly sauces stuff. The chips were yummy. I ended up with over half my meal left for lunch back at the condo the next day. Hubby had one of the wraps and seemed to enjoy it. We split a hummus appetizer; the pita was done well but the dip itself was not great. I wouldn't order this again. Our server was very welcoming and attentive. I felt that the price was very reasonable, especially for the added sunset view and atmosphere! We agreed that this was one of the most enjoyable moments of our trip!
My friends and I wanted to have dinner on the beach and watch the sunset and after reading several Yelp reviews on different eating establishments in Clearwater this is the one I picked! The location could not be more perfect! We valet parked at the beautiful resort and sat right on the beach with THE most beautiful view! Could not have picked a better location. The only downfall is the food is wayyyyyy too overpriced! We spent $50 for wings, a sandwich and fries!? And it wasn't even like high quality food. Nothing spectacular. The menu is pretty small, I kind of expected there to be a little more than what they offered. Come here for the views but eat somewhere more sensible!

Great breakfast spot on the water! Awesome food and low prices. Very friendly!!
Great little restaurant with great service. Breakfast was good and food was good. Great value for your money. Would definitely go back if I'm in Clear Water.
Humor + good food = fun times This small little breakfast/lunch diner on Sand Key comes across as a hole in the wall when you first enter with just a handful of booths, a bar/counter with stools and an "add yourself to the waiting list" low-brow vibe. But while waiting for a table and browsing the hilarious odds and ends posted on the walls in the extremely small entrance area, you realize its one of those places where people probably love to work. A sample: "Maggie's Rules: "#1 Be patient. This is Florida. We don't get in too much of a hurry over anything! "#2 If you are mean and grouchy, Maggie collects a $10 cover charge! Please identify yourself. "#5 (We forgot what 3 & 4 are) Un-attended children will be given an espresso and a FREE puppy." The hand-drawn picture hanging on the wall by the front, left by a little English girl tourist of her meal of silver dollar pancakes, orange juice, and "a green thing" with an arrow pointing to what was most likely a parsley garnish made me smile when she declared that Maggie Mae's had the "Best food in the world!" The food was simple, cooked well and down-home tasty. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy -- comfort food. I was so comforted! Thanks Maggie Mae's.

I have been to Frenchy's several times and will always go back when I'm in the area. We went twice while in town last week. Our dinner experience was not that great. They were really busy and we decided to wait 30 mins for a table. There really isn't much of an area to wait, so lots of shuffling around to stay out of the way. Our name was called and we were told we could sit on the back patio and the hostess invited us to "take a look". Ummm....yeah. That's not a back patio. It's a tiny area with four tables separated from the parking lot by wall that is 3 feet high and 8 inches wide. And it's separated from their trash dumpster by a fence. Completely unrealistic to try and seat people here. We asked to be re-seated and waited another 15 minutes for a table. There was a large party seated at a table near ours. I don't blame people for wanting to have fun while on vacation, but do you have to get stupid drunk and super loud at dinner? It was so loud that it was almost impossible to have a conversation over dinner. The food was good, but we ate quickly and left. We went back later in the week for lunch and it was very quiet and relaxed. Same good food, much nicer experience. The Original Grouper Sandwich is something you should try if you haven't been before. I've had it fried and grilled and both are excellent. The fish spread is also excellent and worth trying.
I decided to try this place based on yelp reviews and the menu. The prices are good, we spent $22 plus tip for lunch for 2. My husband got the fish & chips. For $9.95 they give you 5 good sized fish and fries. I got the Cajun grouper sandwich. I had never had grouper before and the waitress did a good job explaining it. The sandwich was pretty good. The Cajun added good flavor but wasn't spicy at all. The service was very good.
I used to really like this place until this last time I went there. Service was extremely slow. The host had terrible body odor. My husband even commented on it! Weak margaritas. I ordered the watermelon and grouper salad. I received a strawberry and grouper salad? To top it off when I went to restroom a server came out of the stall and bolted out the door without washing her hands!! Gross just gross.

Yummy food (I got fish tacos) you only get a view of the parking lot but if you want a nice view then go walk on the beach! The only thing I would have liked would be some sort of cocktail, they only have beer. Overall it was nice to go somewhere on the beach that didn't feel really commercialized.
This is a spot right up the street from the aquarium and a quick place for lunch. We purchased a yelp coupon and the proprietor was kind enough to honor it when i found I couldn't use it on a Friday and it was Friday! We were leaving the next day and so I only bought it because it was a good deal. The food came quickly and the service was great. I ordered the fish tacos and they were a bit bland. My wife ordered a Philly cheesesteak (without peppers?) which had a good flavor but wasnt exceptional. The fries were delicious and the best part of the meal. Skip the macaroni salad, it wasn't flavorful.
Greasy food, service bordering on surely "I only have two hands!" A dive best avoided - unless you need a place to wait while your family goes to the Clearwater aquarium. $5 for a tiny portion of out if the box Mac n Cheez. Kids might be happy though. I did not have breakfast only lunch - so cannot comment on that meal.

Checked this place out one morning. It was just a short walk from my hotel. Small cafe with good service and great food. Server was very nice and suggested a special not on the menu, eggs benedict florentine with tomatoes... delicious! I visited on a weekday before 10am so there was no waiting. In and out and very satisfied. Hope to visit again.
Nice little breakfast spot. Quick service, casual seating and food arrived quickly. We both ordered egg white western omelettes, which comes with homefries, which were par for a diner, and toast. I ordered side of sausage which was tasty but not visually appealing. Omelette was delicious Great place for casual breakfast
Best hidden gem on the beach. Boasting they are open 8 days a week for breakfast and lunch, the Beach Shanty south serves the best eggs Benedict around. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Go there!
