Love their pizza (tons of toppings where most places just scatter a handful) but the best thing is their wings. Verona's wings are large, not the skinny wings with no meat on the bones I've gotten used to. Their sauces are great too. Beware of the hot wings if you can't take real heat. Also, we usually order the stuffed mushrooms. Delicious!

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!! Visited on 3/8/14, Saturday about 4:45 PM. Moderately busy, got busier as we waited. Kitchen was reasonably staffed and more staff arrived while we were there. Trouble is what most of them were best at was standing around not accomplishing much! We placed our order fairly promptly but 2 sandwiches took over 1/2 hour to arrive. Waitress was only moderately attentive, had to call her over to get drinks refilled. When food arrived it was fresh out of oven and very good! Five stars for the food only. The biggest problem was when we went to pay my partner was shortchanged by $1 and I could see by his annoyance when it was brought to his attention that it was not a mistake. BEWARE, THEY LIKE TO CHEAT PEOPLE DURING SEASON. Their attitude is to stick it to Snowbirds. That is a very bad attitude because visitors from other places are our lifeblood, bringing money into our economy. Because of this we will not return and we live only about 3 miles away, and we live here all year round. Too bad because the food is good.

I work in Sarasota/Bradenton area weekly and found Verona. Great service and had a good lunch crowd. When in area again I'll be back.

I wish I could give this place a 3 1/2 stars. I am, of course, over critical of pizza though being from the Northeast. Had the Meatsa Pizza (Meat lovers). The place is small but that is ok if your pizza is great. This pizza...just ok. Solid effort in the toppings, sauce, and cheese but it lacks the dough and crust to make it truely a great pizza. I will be back to try it again along with other items.

Yummy pizza and friendly staff. Hid away in a shopping center but it's good to come in and eat or take out for lunch or dinner.

Yesterday had lunch there with a good buddy of mine. The service was better than expected and I will stop in more often. The food was good and well priced. I think it was the mom and pop feel of the place that added to the food because they genuinely want to produce the best product they can.

Their pizza is average. I enjoyed the eggplant pizza, better than some I have had. Nothing particularly stand out about this place.

Recently had dinner at Verona's and we were very happy with everything there. The service was a little slow, but they were busy and a small operation. The food was exceptionally good as was the service. I look forward to eating there again in the near future.

It is the best Italian pizza I have had ever had in my life. It's thin and large and juicy. Occasionally might be a little more greasy but still is the best pizza I have ever hade in all of Florida. I would recommend this place for only if you are in the mood for Italian food and you are very hungry. The best pizza in the area!

I ordered lasagna and onion rings for delivery and not only did it take over an hour for delivery on a week night, the food was horrible, the onion rings were soggy and not salted, the lasagna tasted worse, they use only can tomato paste or it comes in frozen but that's exactly what it tasted like... A can of tomato paste poured over lasagna pasta, barely any hamburger, just specks, no seasoning, it was bland and truly awful. Maybe they have good pizza, but I will never order again to find out. Both items were cold when delivered, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

Great pizza and great service. We pick up a pizza here at least once a month and every time they are great. The garlic knots are very good also.

Love the food! Mom and pop restaurant and Pop knows how to make pizza! Pepperoni and garlic is my favorite pizza here. Don't overlook the Philly cheesesteak...as good as anything you can get in Philly!

Their "Mobster" sub is awesome. It's their version of an Italian. Their pizza is really good, and so are their honey garlic wings. Reminds me of a place in DC area called Damon's and their wings. Their pizza is good, not overly thick crust and good sauce. They give generous helpings of toppings. The chicken parmesan is really good too.

We just ordered a pizza and a salad to-go. They got the order wrong ( we ordered half cheese/ half everything and we got half everything/ half everything minus pepperoni). There were way too many toppings, you couldn't even pick up a slice without everything falling off. The crust was soggy and the sauce was weirdly sour. The dressing that came with the antipasto salad was a very sour raspberry vinaigrette, not edible. We threw most of it away. Very disappointing.

The best pizza in Bradenton as far as my family is concerned...we eat here all the time...try the garlic knots too...ask for them to be made Stephanie's way....

All of my friends at work were telling me how great Verona's is, so I had to give it a try during one of my Many pizza cravings. Don't come here if you are wanting New York style pizza, because Verona's pizza is undercooked and gummy. A little thicker and lower quality than a Domino's hand tossed pizza. When cooked thoroughly the dough works well with their calzones. But, to be honest their best items were their hot wings, which is odd. I don't think that I will ever want to eat from here again. I even avoid it when we get it for free at luncheons at work.

Their "Mobster" sub is awesome. It's their version of an Italian. Their pizza is really good, and so are their honey garlic wings. Reminds me of a place in DC area called Damon's and their signature wings. Have a sour taste in my mouth from them right now though due to bad customer service tonight for a long time repeat customer. They lose a star for that. Otherwise it would be 5 for them.

Yuuummmmm! I am craving Verona's cheese pizza right now. My aunt bought three pizza's to celebrate her husband's birthday with the family because it is his favorite pizza, and this being my first experience with this restaurant, I would have to agree. You have to ask for the 'thinner' crust, which is what we had, and it was amazing! The thin crust, speciality sauce, and high grade chese were the perfect combo. I can't wait to try more entrees at this location.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
