I've been coming here for years. The donuts are terrific. They are spudnuts, which is a potato based donut. These are seriously my favorite donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are really great too.

Lived here 5 years and finally came in to give it a try. Best breakfast sandwich in Bradenton and good donuts.

Classic doughnut shop in the heart of downtown Bradenton. Offers fresh doughnuts, giant sized doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches and great coffee. All at an affordable price. Staff is friendly and fast. Either dine in or take out, either way you'll be left satisfied. They also offer a small lunch menu for any post breakfast doughnut seekers. Highly recommended and I can't wait to visit again.

I've been searching for some ooey-gooey delicious donuts in the area & some locals mentioned that Turner's is pretty good. So I literally rode by one morning because this place is subtly located (I didn't think they were open). So I had to turn around & park on the side of the building (if traffic is heavy this could be a pain backing out onto the street). When I walked in there was several patrons sitting at the counter (they all looked like they may be regulars) because who else would hang out at the counter of such an old dingy place that lacks character. Anyway, I ordered a cinnamon roll w/o raisins from a cashier who seemed very impatient. I didn't care because I was in hurry too & this extraordinarily large cinnamon roll was only $1.40. I gave this place 4-stars because the price was right, the not so friendly service was fast, but more importantly the cinnamon roll was fresh, moist, filling, & ironically not extremely sweet. It was all about the donut, baby...just the donut. I LOVED IT! I'm looking forward to trying other donuts.

We enjoyed our visit here. I'd heard about spud nuts for years and wanted to try some. They were out of almost everything when we got there, so our experience was limited to glazed. The potato raised donuts were airy and flavorful, but I couldn't tell much difference between them and traditional yeast raised wheat flour donuts at other shops. The coffee was okay. The interior was wood paneled and looked like it was from in the 1970s, which I think added character to the place. The clientele was mostly friendly old folks. die-hards who swore by their potato donuts. If you're in the area, it isn't a bad place to hang out, but I'm not sure it was worth a 90-minute drive from Ocala. The owner lady was friendly.

One of those hidden gem, family run Donut Shops. Better than Krispy Kreme by a long shot!

I really want to give this place Five stars because I enjoy their donuts, they're open very early, Cappuchino machine is awesome, but the service is just not very friendly. I went one morning before work as the location for me is great. (I used to frequent here) I placed my order, she gave me my donuts and coffee to go, and then told me the credit card machine was not working. I offered to come back with cash later as (I frequent here) and She took my order away and said Not Possible. I was shocked. Luckily a nice man behind me offered to pay my tab... I almost said no on principle.. But really? Not very good customer service. There are happier places than Turners.. I'll probably be back because I like their product and the location, but for no other reason, and definitely not because of their service.

Interesting place. We prefer to frequent local establishments and shun the chains. A few things to note, though, beware the coffee refills. You only get 1! You get charged for more than one. To start: The coffee. Pretty sure it's Maxwell House*. Pretty weak also. Since only two cups for $1.10, it is disappointing. If it was free refills, it would be as expected. But, at this cost, why bother? I'll tell ya why. Because you gotta have donuts with coffee. Who ever heard of donuts with tea? Donuts with soda? Donuts with water? Nope, Donuts with weak expensive coffee! * It was actually from a bean ground on the premises, not Maxwell House, but entirely too weak. On to the donuts: 1st: The Bavarian creme. Not exceptional. It was ok. Not a lot of taste to the donut. The creme was good, very sweet. 2nd: The Sour cream. Not bad! Decent donut. Good taste/texture. 3rd: Chocolate cake. Very interesting texture. Not what you'd expect. A bit spongy. Not bad, mind you, just different. Not overly sweet either. 4th; Coconut cake. Sensing a trend here! Again, not overly sweet. Also decent. Icing seemed a bit old, not sure, though. Overall, price good . 6 donuts, 2 coffees, 6 bucks. Coffee, poor, donuts ok. The proprietors are VERY nice and quite funny? That's the review!

Had the sausage egg and cheese croissant and it was amazing! My wife loves the apple fritters as these are a well known favorite of the locals. I suggest arriving early for the best selections and they are a smallish shop and will often run out of the best/favorite stuff typically before lunch.

This is a nice hole in the wall, but it has both pros and cons. The donuts leave something to be desired, and although I'm not big on donuts to begin with, I've always heard raving reviews of them here and I have to say it is unwarranted. The donuts are generic, but the only good ones are blueberry, and cherry cake. They are the only donuts with flavor. The muffins are great, but cold. The sandwiches are what they should be known for, for though you don't get much, it is still quite good for the price. Go ahead and try them out, but don't expect anything spectacular.

Best donut place in manatee county. Has been there for over 20 years. Donuts are fresh and huge. Try it for yourself. You will be hooked.

All of my B-town friends and acquaintances told me that this is the best donut shop in the area. So, you know me, I just had to check it out for myself. These donuts are potato raised, and appear to be made from a mix, just like Gold Star Donut. However, Gold Star Donuts are fresher tasting at any time of day compared to what I had at Turner. Even at 10:00am, expect a wait, sometimes with a line out the door. Parking is often scarce because of the downtown Bradenton location and small lot. The inside was decorated with Chinese New Year decorations last time I was here and the owners were speaking both Spanish and Tagalog, which is awesome. There is indoor seating with a waitress, but there is usually not an empty table. There are cake and raised donuts to choose from, but the raised are not yeasty or fluffy- kind of flat. Nothing really spectacular or different and I found the taste and quality to be lacking. The dryness of the donut was also a major turn-off, as well as the taste of the oil. I was all excited because one of the cake donuts was labeled "Honeydew," which made me think of the delicious green melon that I love so much. After tasting, I realized that it was just a plain ol' cake donut. Lame... How hard would it be to take honeydew and put in the blender, then mix with powdered sugar to make a glaze, then dunk a cake donut in it? Seriously, I am getting tired of the same flavors over and over again.

One of the best Maple donuts I've had but definitely the worst cup of coffee I've ever had... Also $3 min to use a card

A busy Sunday morning in Turner's but the donuts are as good as ever. We had our two grandsons with us and they enjoyed the frosting and sprinkles on their cake donuts. My wife had her usual chocolate covered raised and it was all gone so it must have been good. I deviated from my usual and had a maple frosted cinnamon roll without raisins. We often go to another donut shop that seems to add a little more frosting to their frosted donuts. Hey, call me crazy, but I like a little more frosting. But, it won't stop me from going to Turner's - especially when my grandsons want to go there!

Potato raised at its best. Coffee is fantastic. Long lines move quick. Breakfast sandwiches are also great. You can't go wrong. Simply the best in town.

I love "Spud Nuts". Most folks know it by Turners. It is an amazing donut experience and I cannot say enough good things about the owners and the old school ambience. I grew up frequenting this establishment and now bring my son to enjoy history that tastes out of this world.

Great donuts! Lots of selections of all your typical donut flavors plus "specialty" donuts that are huge! Excellent prices...each donut is 80 cents and a dozen is only 7.95. Fresh and delicious.
