What a joke of a establishment!?!? Got seated promptly, but it went downhill rapidly from there. My wife had to change our daughters diaper and during that whole time no one came to the table to and numerous employees walked by not acknowledging me. Once my wife sat down I told her no one came by at all and we waited another five minutes. What we finally walked out and told the host staff no one came by they just said goodbye. Horrible restaurant with careless staff. I'm sure management is lackluster as well! Don't waste your time with this location.

Went to Olive Garden last night because our favorite Chinese rest. Was closed. Had a great server but when she poured us a sample of their wine the glasses were all spotty. I asked for new glasses and was given cleaner ones. I can't understand how you can serve wine in a glass that's all spotty. Wine glasses should be clean and spot free when you have them on the table. Our food was great. Had the lighter dish of shrimp lasagna and it was really good. Always love the salad and soup here. And once again our server was right there when we needed her and took great care of us. 5 stars to her for being so good.

I know Olive Garden is a chain restaurant so i should not expect much, but i was pretty disappointed with my dining experience. *Note, I went on a Saturday afternoon and they were no more 1/3 full. First off, when I walked in, there were three hostesses standing by the hostess stand. Not one of them greeted me or asked how many people in my party. They all just stood there staring at me . It was so bizarre! So I finally asked for table for 3 with a high chair for a baby. That was apparently an odd request because it took all three of them to figure out where we should sit and who are server would be. I was told it would be ten minutes...which is odd because like i said, they were not busy at all! When we finally sat down at our table, our server swooped by to take our drink order. He was OK, just not very attentive. For example, he spilled water on my friend while he was picking up a glass and did not even notice. I can not say much about the food because soup, salad and bread sticks will be the same at any OG. Regardless, I will not be going back there.

Just visiting the Bradenton area and craving Italian food. The unlimited salad, soup and breadsticks were so delicious. The service was great and the food arrived at the table quickly. I ordered ravioli and shrimp (white sauce) My mom ordered the spaghetti. I tried both and they were amazing/filling. If you're in the mood for some good Italian, definitely go here!

We went here for dinner on a Tuesday night because I had a coupon from the paper for $4 off two dinners. We usually go without a coupon and it is worth it! Tons of food and great service. (The coupon helped us decide where to eat that night) When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with how the restaurant looked on the outside and in the hostess area (clean and nice). We were told there was a 15 minute wait but were seated within a few minutes of putting our name in. Place was busy for a weeknight but the service was great. We got our drinks right away and shortly after placed our order. The food was hot, tasted great and we had enough to take home for leftovers! Will be back.

Excellent for what everyone wants to call a 'chain restaurant", always had kind service and excellent food. We try to get our OG fix as often as possible!

We ate at the olive garden, this past sunday and everything was delish. The calamari was the best i have ever had from the olive garden before. I choose the tour of Italy and got three little portions of some of my favorite dishes, eggplant, Portobello ravioli, and fetachini Alfredo. My boyfriend really enjoyed his steak. Our server was very personable and attentive, i can't remember his name though.

Food was amazing like always. Waiter wasn't to bad. He did seem as if he had to many tables. Did drop a plate behind me. I know things happen so wasn't mad. The only real issue was the ladies at the front. They were just rude.

Everything you'd expect from a chain - consistency. Awesome salad dressing, salty/garlicky bread sticks, edible food, and decent service. I know it's not the best, but I need an Olive Garden fix every now and then. It's not the same quality as Carraba's, but you go in knowing that. Their salad dressing is so good, and their tiramisu is surprisingly one of the best I've ever had. I usually get the braised beef and tortellini, which has a nice cream sauce with diced tomatoes. The tortellini is fantastic, just al dente with a yummy cheese center. The beef kind of scares me; reminds me of an 80s microwave meal, but it doesn't taste bad. Just looks funny, so I don't eat much of it. The rest of the pasta entrees are pretty decent, safe. I'm not a fan of their calamari, but their bruschetta is good as is their fried zucchini appetizer. I've never been to an Olive Garden at dinner time and not had to wait. The place is always packed, so come early/late or expect to wait. They are doing something right if they are one of the chains that has survived this long.

It had been a few years since we had been to an Olive Garden. I used to love their food. It was an event to go to one. Now, eh. Not so much. My wife got the Tour of Italy. Her words "it looks better in the photo"

I've had 2 straight BAD experiences with Take Out. We bring dinner for 4 people including a 96 year old friend once every 2 weeks on Friday. The first time we tried this restaurant, they didn't take the name on the phone and had the bag ready 15 minutes early. Our 96 yr old requested Lasagna so we tried this restaurant again. I arrived 2 minutes before 6, checked in a the front desk, listened as the front desk communicated my name to the pick up desk (which is right behind the front desk), and then was told by the person leaving the pickup desk that my meal was in process and would be ready soon. Eighteen minutes later I approached the pickup desk (when finally a person appeared again behind it ) to see what was taking so long. She looked behind her at the 2 bags that were still there and said 'Here you are' . That bag had been there all the time...so I checked the bag, noticed that the salads were over the hot food, asked for another bag...then told the server/host that there would be no gratuity and I wanted to speak to the manager. The front desk called the manager and he appeared 5 minutes later. I explained what had happened and he said he was sorry...but they're doing the best they can. He offered 2 desserts...I told him I had already paid for 4 desserts was there something else. No there wasn't. We eat out 4 or 5 times a week and have never consistently experienced such issues and were disappointed at the manager's solution. I would recommend against pickup orders at this location.

Standard Olive Garden, great for lunch or dinner. Met all the standard expectations. Staff was nice and the service was average.

Food is typical Olive Garden however we try to go there on our lunch break and every time we ask for checks when we get our food and still end up talking over an hour.

Worst OG experience ever! Waitress was ignorant & rude and above all - 70 & slow! Breadstick were stale and tasted as if they were dipped in salt. Stuffed mushrooms tasted like they were marinated in dead fish oil. No more Olive Garden for me!

We went there New Year's Eve and had a great experience. We've been here several times in the past year, the food is always excellent. Steve was our server and was perfect in every way. I'd highly recommend Olive Garden!

For a chain restaurant in a undesirable part of town, overall good place.Service is solid and the dishes are pretty consistent. I always ask them to make the Shrimp Scampi appetizer into an entree (by putting it over pasta). They always accommodate this request. Salad and breadsticks are consistently good. Come here every so often and am usually pleased.

My sons favorite place! It was good. Service was great not even much of a wait tonight! Food is always predictably good and tonight was the same. It's still a reasonable meal for a reasonable price. Our waiter was exceptionally nice to our son which is always a good thing :) - we eat here on a normal basis so it's nice to know that you can expect quality. Nice family restaurant and atmosphere.

This is my 11 year olds favorite place to eat! We always get the soup salad and bread sticks! Always a great value! My only complaint is there isn't one closer to my house otherwise we would be there every week!

OK, remember we are talking about a chain restaurant. Our waitress Andrea was great, although the kitchen was extremely slow she kept checking back at the table keeping our drinks full and offering additional soup and salad. Once our entrees made it to us they were very good. We took advantage of the buy one take one deal, actually a bigger serving than I expected and then a full serving to go as well.

Service was super slow (not just last night but every time I come here). Staff is usually nice but again slow. The food itself is mediocre. I usually come here for lunch for the endless salad, soup, and breadsticks. That's the best thing on the menu. I recommend chicken and gnocci soup but my husband likes their minestone. If you come for dinner, I recommend the ravoli portobello or venetian apriot chicken is good.

they're not 'really' Italian, the food is way too salty, and i can never get a steak cooked the way i ask. Now their 'vegetable side' includes 15 garlic cloves (i counted). Blech.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
