I eat here at least once a week. I love knowing that the chicken is raised without hormones and all of the produce is sourced locally. (I asked). On Mondays, I can get my favorite Chop-Chop, the Bazooka, for just $5. (Includes their homemade guacamole) The chicken is served straight from the grill and chopped right in front of you. The fresh sauces are delicious - garlic/cilantro is my favorite. The portions are generous, so I always get to bring home leftovers. I'll be back!!

Talk about unimpressed. I recently visited Chicken Kitchen for the first time and was excited to try one of their bowls as a promising alternative to Chipotle. For those looking for the TL;DR, save yourself a trip and take your $10 to Chipotle where the food is tastier, fresher, and your business is appreciated. Upon walking in, I noticed that the decor was modern and there was ample seating. It was a bit later in the afternoon so the place was hardly crawling with customers, but there was one older couple in front of us who were checking out the menu as though it was their first visit too. We all stood back reading the menu, and despite the fact that there were no other customers, none of the employees offered to help or answer any questions for us or the couple. My lunch date and I decided what we wanted and stepped to the counter while the employee stood waiting. The brown uncovered guacamole should have been my cue to turn around and have lunch elsewhere. Lukewarm rice and beans were spooned into my bowl with no steam coming off of either. Chicken was grabbed off of a shelf, not a grill. We asked about the different sauce options mentioned in the description and were told we could add it ourselves. Arriving at my seat with my bowl, I was already less than thrilled with my decision. The ingredients that should have been hot were mostly room temperature. The other ingredients (lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, drizzled sour cream) on top did nothing to make the bowl appealing. After taking a couple of bites, my date and I both confirmed aloud what we were thinking: apart from the chicken, which was just ok, an overall tasteless dish that needed sauce to be saved. We both commented on the browning guacamole and the line of grilled chickens sitting on the shelf with no line of customers coming through the door. At this point we were the only customers in the restaurant save for someone who appeared to be a manger seated directly behind us. We'd already spent a fair amount of time discussing our disappointment (and I had hardly eaten my food, which I eventually tossed). I know it's easy to get caught up in your work, but when your work includes ensuring your customers are happy and enjoying their experience, it just feels like a manager should have a keener eye and ear in an empty restaurant. I won't be returning. And for the management who questions negative but fair reviews of your establishment here on yelp, I'd encourage you to consider that perhaps the customer is occasionally right and remember we have a multitude of other options in the area.

I got the large boneless chicken with two sides. This place was so-so. Pros: - food was made fresh to order - you have side options with your grilled chicken - good selection of sauces - food was quick to order - design of this place isn't bad - TV projection system is a + Cons: - food portions are adequate for a "dieter" - not much variety ( i mean if im thinking chicken, i want different kinds of chicken, not just grilled) - depending on the entree, the sides can be actually part of the it. (why charge me when it's included?) - it seemed like a generic version of pollo tropical - sides weren't that appetizing and seemed dull. The price was just fitting for this place . i wouldn't dish out more than $10 for a meal especially if it seems like it's a cookie-cutter type meal. But envronment was pleasant.

Pretty disappointed with the attitude of a staff member. I love chicken kitchen and the freshness but this staff member was incredibly rude when I brought in my 4lb puppy that was being held by me. I was planning on just ordering and eating outside and the rather than just saying "I'm so sorry we do not allow dogs inside or we have a policy" he rudely gave me attitude and said he cannot allow me to have the dog inside. I explained that I was just going to put in my order and eat outside he then said "let this be the last time" I felt like a 10 year old being scolded in front of people. I will NEVER be returning to this place until they replace this horrible staff member. Worst part is I think he was a manager (older man) wish I had his name. I know this place is new so I hope they fix these customer service issues. I hope they don't speak to other customers like this.

Spectacular, healthy, and tasty. Love the fresh jalapeños and banana peppers. Chipotle lime sauce was the perfect accent for my bowl of rice, beans, avocado, and chicken. Love how the crispy skin is optional (a must for me!) that skin was a perfect flavor accent. Great post workout meal, I'll be here every week!

I like this place, I think it adds a healthier alternative to the many fast food places in the area. I personally think their bowls are delicious and their chicken is well seasoned. I love their cilantro garlic sauce, it reminds me of a Peruvian sauce I used to have and it's great. I will be back there.

Food is very good. Atmosphere is nice and inviting. Friendly staff. Portions are big but expected as pricing is on higher end. Would recommend and return.

I went to Chicken Kitchen for the first time today, the food was awesome! I got the Mexican chop chop and my daughter got the teriyaki kids meal. Both were phenomenal! In my opinion there was plenty of chicken in my dish and and my daughters. I read another post that said it was sparse before I went so I was apprehensive but I didn't have a problem with it. The whole dish was more than I could eat in two sittings. The only thing I didn't like was the decor but they also have tables outside, so that was great. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Great place for quick healthy food. I'm here at least once per week. Quick and friendly service. I get the Mexican Chop Chop the only down fall is the plates are a tad too small so I use the to go lid since it is bigger.

I Love this place! Super Fresh, Super tasty, great service! The atmosphere is progressive, modern clean. The best part is the variety of toppings and sauces it really allows you to be creative or choose from their well designed menu. My kids love the quesadillas. This is truly one of the few fast healthy alternatives around Sarasota.

Don't waste your time or money!! I was so excited for this restaurant to open but sadly I was disappointed. When we walked in there were several chickens sitting under the heat lamp waiting to be chopped and served. The guacamole was turning black. The rice tasted like an instant rice from uncle bens. The flavor was actually quite strong. The cheese was a cheap cheese which was of a rubbery consistency. The garlic cilantro sauce was tasty. My friend was so disappointed she threw hers in the trash and got something else to eat next door. I doubt this place will be open much longer....it's terrible!!
