I love this Bonefish Grill! I have been to many in the area and around the state and this one stands out. Excellent service & delicious food. It has the consistency of a chain restaurant and the authenticity of a local seafood place. The atmosphere is great and the hours are awesome, as well. It's one of the only restaurants in Bradenton that serves quality food into the late night (10:30 most nights). The cocktails change seasonly and are always interesting and tasty. My personal favorite is the Cucumber Margarita. If you haven't tried the bang bang shrimp, then you haven't lived! All in all - highly recommend!

A bit pricey but the quality of food is well worth it. However the drink prices are way over priced considering the size of the glasses and the 1/2 glass of wine. A bottle price is also ridiculous! All things considered we do frequent here a lot, it is close to home and the food is creatively prepared. The wait staff are spot on, as the bartenders lack attention!

In the last year this place as been going down . The food is not as good , the portions are smaller , the food gets to us cold way to often, the service if you are lucky to get the very few good waiters they still have here you will have good service otherwise just decent service . Tonight we tried the lobster roll that made it to the menu $16.50 ( little expensive) roll still delicious but sadly the lobster meat was mixed with to many big chucks of salad and celery and not enough mayo or seasoning . I hope that everything will get better soon ! It used to be a wonderful restaurant !. Will still give them a chance , I really love the innovative menu !

I live two blocks away and would rather drive the 45 minutes south to the Sarasota Bonefish location than to ever eat there again. * Arrival: No hostess in sight for nearly 5 minutes *I actually got up to get silverware from another table. *Cigarette box visually sticking out of my servers uniform. *Appetizer was cold. (Bangbang shrimp) *My Ahi tuna was undercooked and the portion size was MICROSCOPIC! *I forgot to order a sauce for my fish and the server never acknowledged or suggested a sauce. (Poor knowledge of menu) *The restaurant was dead and I had 3 different people bring me food, drinks, and the bill. *The manager told me my meal would be free and my charge still isn't removed. I'm 28years old not some old person complaining. I will never return to this location ever again.

Used to love this place. Ordered take out tonight. Bang bang shrimp no longer is served on a bed of romaine. Tomato soup tastes like Campbell's soup out of a can. No bread served with soup or with entrees. I used to enjoy dipping the bread in the olive oil they provided. What's going on Bonefish?? Please don't charge me full price but skimp out on quality. I will patron Outback and Carrabbas from now on.

Lousy place to take kids. They were out of crayons and don't serve root beer. They also didn't have yellow mustard. I'm not much for the chain restaurants and do not plan on revisiting this lousy restaurant ever again.

Waited months to finally come and I am so disappointed. Food was blah and service...let's just say I had to steal cutlery from another table.

This Bonefish is definitely not as good as it use to be. We have vacationed in Anna Maria for many years during spring break, and this Bonefish has been one of our favorite places to dine, but not anymore. The portions for the appetizers and main courses are very small while the prices remain high. The food tasted ok, not fantastic. The calamari tasted ok, but was very chewy. In addition, no bread was available, even as we arrived several hours before closing. The service was just ok and the manager did not come around and ask how things were even as most of the restaurant was empty. If you want a mediocre meal at high price, then this Bonefish is the right place for you. We'll never go back.

Good was good. Nothing special. Service was average at best. Wait to get served and get our food was way too long. Been there twice and won't go back.

This is an update, but it cancels out the earlier entry. Bonefish has gone down hill very quickly. The lighter fluid you smell in the air outside the front door is the taste of anything grilled inside the restaurant. I have had several meals where the meat has tasted from lighter fluid, and it is not pleasant, it's awful. They also put a strong hickory smoke flavoring (they call it a 'base') on everything grilled. I have asked them not to add it, but they do anyway. I believe there is a serious disconnect between the wait staff and the line. Apparently it is a severe language barrier, because the servers say they have asked but it comes with hickory smoke anyway. Sigh. Dad's on wafarin, he asked please for carrots, no dark green veggies because it's a blood thinning medication intensified by dark green veggies. The server delivers a plate of green beans and 2 carrot slices. She tells him, like it's his problem and as if he'd not given her the veggie speech, that they're short on carrots, and that's what he gets. Meanwhile, my plate is overflowing with lots of carrots. WTH is going on? It's like a bad dream. We were there last night and they got our bill so wrong twice. My father gave them $102 in gift cards. They took my returned lighter-fluid filet off the menu I'd returned after one bite. I ordered nothing else. The first check we got belonged to another table, with our gift cards figured in.Nope. The second try, the amounts were way off. The third try, my husband asked the manager to straighten things out. We had documentation, since we'd had plenty of time to sit and calculate it. What is going on there? We won't go back. After something like 15 years of going there quite regularly and enjoying it with many friends and family, we won't go back.

The fish tacos were tiny. The scallops and shrimp portion was also small. The accompanying couscous was meager, the side dish of broccoli was larger than the rest. The place was nearly full. That is a mystery. Service was slow to moderate.

Excellent - Every part of the meal was excellent and the service was very good also. Started with a bowl of their Corn Crabmeat chowder. I'm a soup guy and this was as good a corn chowder as I've ever had. A very good cream base that wasn't too heavy, with great crab meat flavor and chunks - highly recommended. Had Curried Shrimp with Grits - sounds strange, but excellent. The curry was on the order of Thai food. Just enough. Great flavor, small shrimp w/tails on, and red peppers enhancing the flavor. I mopped the sauce up with their bread. My wife and I had their Sangria (blackberry) - excellent! The waiter was knowledgeable (my wife requires gluten free and he could intelligently speak to that), courteous, patient, and there when you needed him. Bread was a, baked on premise, chibata like bread - fresh and good. My wife had Shrimp and Scallops w/asparagus. All was excellent - clean plate No room for dessert. I really liked this place - 1st time.

What has happened to this restaurant? Always consistent with food and service, usually with service being very efficient and friendly. As soon as we sat down, a woman at the bar, dressed like she had just come from the barnyard, started being loud and yelling about a football game on TV. While having an intimate conversation with my husband, I was forced to look her way. My first thought - she was a lonely woman who had one too many drinks. Turns out, she is the manager. Lady, get your behavior into line. She was dressed unprofessionally for a manager and way too loud. Now, let's talk about my server- Jason H. As soon as he stopped at my table, I was like- whoa, this kid is either high or has just had a fight with someone. He wasn't friendly at all and actually looked and spoke belligerently. We ordered appetizers and soon our entree was brought to our table. I asked Jason if he placed our appetizer order and he got a sheepish look on his face- yep, he forgot to place that order, even though we were only one of three patrons in the restaurant at that time. If he had come back to our table after he delivered our drinks, I would have asked him were the appetizers were- but, he didn't come back to check on us. I did notice that all the staff were different. Was it just this night or has it changed hands? If this crew is a replacement, I won't be back until they learn the business. The food was good- it's always consistent. But, having a bad server who never checked on us, we didn't have any condiments to go with that good. The only high point of our meal was the pumpkin creme brûlée- absolutely, unbelievably delicious!

Poor service, decent food. Arrived 5 minutes before our 7 pm reservation. We were told the table was being prepared and would take under 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we asked about the table, and they said they were waiting for the next group to leave. 30 minutes later we sat down. We asked for water 4 times over a 30 minute period. Had to ask another waiter for water since ours kept forgetting. When we received the food, the plates were just thrown on the table quickly and haphazardly (felt very rude). After receiving the bill, took 15 minutes for the waiter to return to pick it up. The food was decent, unfortunately they overbooked and had very poor service. Not worth returning for the food when we are very poorly treated and felt rushed. Do NOT recommend.

My family and extended family had an excellent meal here! From the drinks to the dessert, it was ALL GOOD. Well worth the money and time waiting to get a table. Probably one our favorite and most reliable places to eat while in the area. We had great service all night long, including the manager rearranging some tables and seating us earlier than expected. Try the edamame hummus appetizer, it was awesome.

The trend, and sign of the times I'm sure, is less food for more money. Bonefish, which is ridiculously expensive for what you get (not to mention the pretentious get-ups of the wait staff which, while they are very knowledgeable about the menu, is almost embarrassing because they're dressed like CHEFS which they aren't), Carrabba's and one of their other chains, Outback, are no exception. We're so tired of it but the competition is pretty stiff out there and growing constantly so we will be seeking alternatives. These restaurants have gone downhill when they used to be so good. Greed has taken over the restaurant business, especially with chains.

Normally I would not review a chain restaurant, but I have been finding myself here over and over again. Mainly due to the fact that there are two Bonefish near where I live and absolutely nothing else that is decent. Every time I dine, the food is consistent and I find myself having an excellent time. The price is high, but the quality of the food compared to the price is a value. I am obsessed with their Calamari- which is always tender and served with a tangy Asian sauce. It is better than most Salt and Pepper Calamari served at some of the best Chinese restaurants. I am totally spoiled at a place where I can eat Tilapia, sautéed spinach, and a side of mashed potatoes with chopsticks. Don't even get me started on their Crème Brule. What brings me in here mostly is their $5.00 anytime drink menu, which changes seasonally. Their Summer Drinks are great, like; Mango Sidecar, Lynchburg Lemonade, Rum Punch, and a double sized Raspberry Vodka Spritzer with fresh mulled berries. It is also a great place to meet up with friends for a couple of drinks before heading over to the movie theater. I love the bar atmosphere here too, makes me forget that I am nowhere near civilization, deserted in a retirement wasteland. I frequent this and the University Parkway location. Wish they were open later and that they have more vegetarian options.

Food & service excellent. My only complaint it took too long to checkout. Had to race to our show and was late. The waitress had several checkouts and continue to give us the wrong bill. It seem she was doing all the work and nobody help her. The Bar Staff are excellent.

Florida weekend dining! This place can get very busy throughout the night!! Every time we dine here we'd be in standing room for at least 15 minutes at the bar before we can get seated. Their mussels, calamari, and shrimp appetizers are awesome! Sesame seared ahi tuna is excellent! You have a private parking lot, outdoor patio and waiting lounge surrounded by tiki torches, friendly staff, and comfortable indoor atmosphere.

Service is good but for the price the food is just ok. Other seafood places are better. Wed bangbang special is good but you'll wait awhile to get seated especially during season.

We visited on Friday 12/17 - We got in and seated right away. The place was about 1/3 full @ 6pm. My wife had the Alaskan Wolf fish (white fish similar to Cod) and I had the cheeseburger. She received a generous portion of fish (2 portions it looked like) and small shrimp. She'd never tried this before (she's a Salmon & crabmeat eater) but she really enjoyed it. I never get the cheeseburger but I was in the mood for it and I asked for it well done. It was really good, however about 2/3 of the way through it, it was getting pinkish. I could not finish eating it as it was pretty pink at the end. Fries were good. We both had white Zin with dinner and it was good. Not sure why they serve it in little bottles that they pour into your glass - just bring a glass of wine - but whatever. The bread was warm and really good too. It is a bit loud in there and we had to talk up to hear each other. All in all a good experience. I mentioned the burger was a little raw to our server. Hopefully they do better next time.

I know this place is a chain, but I still have to say it has some pretty good food. Yes, there are definitely other places I'd rather go for seafood for the most part, but being that my family is a mix of surf and turf fans, its nice to know this place has both. It's a little traditional, especially as far as the sides go, but you can still find some tasty options and walk out feeling full for a decent price.

Food very good!!!!!!! we had a table of 16 adults & kids .......waitress like a drill Sargent a little annoying of us wanted Chilean Sea bass which they where out of .....tell us at the beginning when u deliver the menu's the drill Sargent was so busy trying to organize us she forgot that very important component . One of the better seafood restaurants in the area. Also a lot of landlubber food. I fell for the kobe burger and it was indeed good. I almost never eat burgers but this was worth it. Everything else was fine and the prices are average for the area, We had very good service and enjoyed the place.

Bonefish offers your huge family group lots of menu options and the full bar is a plus. It's noisy but they were able to seat 12 of us - inlaws, abuelos, the kids - at one large table, another big plus. (Stonewood Grill at the other end of the shopping center could only do 3 tables of four.) True, it's too noisy, but the food was very good for a chain restaurant. Fish tacos with fresh mango salsa were excellent. Hamburger, house-made chips, calamari were all terrific. Martinis were tasty and everyone was happy with their food. Great place to take the family.

Surprised by the low stars! I've been here several times, and have loved every minute of it. I always leave stuffed with Bang Bang shrimp. Sadly, Bradenton is lacking in the culinary dept, and Bonefish takes up the slack! I'd even go if there was one up my way in Boston!

This is the premier store in the chain. Great staff and the fish is always the best in the area. $20..00 and you have a great meal. The store on south Tamiami Trl in Sarasota is a "meat market" for singles and alway jammed and noisy.

One of my favorite restaurants and I love going there when im down in FL. I always get the fried calamari and the Bang Bang Tacos and they are very good. The prices aren't that bad like people think. The brownie dessert is a must try but make sure to save room. It gets very busy but thats just telling you everyone loves going there.

One of the best restaurant in the chain. If I want fish this is a 20 minute drive that I pass many very exclusive restaurants but my car know where the best food and value are.

I went to Bonefish last night after getting off a long flight from LA. I have to take one star off for being a chain restaurant but everything else was wonderful! The service was good, food was excellent, and menu was diverse. There are lots of choices for kids there is paper on the table for coloring (which was excellent for an otherwise unoccupied 7 y/o) I was surprised by how affordable the bill was too ($60 for 4 meals and 2 drinks!) If you need diversity, take the family to Bonefish!

The service is great, the pesto olive oil is incredibly addictive, and the four dishes I sampled were very re-orderable. I really liked the pistachio-parmesan encrusted rainbow trout and the riesling from Washington. Sadly, I was too full to try any of the desserts, but the deep dish key lime pie is first on my list for the next time!

I would not have rated Bonefish Grill as one of the Top 10 places to eat in Manatee County. There's got to be something else a little bit better than this predictable restaurant chain. Isn't there? Maybe there isn't. Anyway, Bonefish is a yuppie-fied fish restaurant with an unchanging menu but boasts consistently well-prepared food. The place is a zoo on Friday/Saturday nights with all the over-30 singles on the make. Great place to bring a newborn. Too much noise to notice anything else. Their claim to fame is a wood-fire oven in which they prepare their fish dishes. Very tasty. The prices are fair and the service always attentive. This is the kind of restaurant I'd go to for a business-dinner. Just kidding about bringing the kids. They're not going to find much to eat and the adult-only atmosphere will probably bore them to death.

We've been to Bone Fish Grill on Cortez numerous times. Sadly, the food and service has been deteriorating. Tonight, our experience was awful. The filet mignon was soooo salty it was really inedible; the salmon was raw in the center and had to be sent back; the sauce on the pasta dish was thick and pasty. The service was poor too. Our waiter, Alan, either had too many tables, or was not attentive as required. We had to ask for more water as our glasses were empty, more wine, and we had asked for the dirty dishes to be cleared from our table. There are too many good restaurants in Florida to go to this one on Cortez. Very disappointing.
