I was here yesterday. This 5 star rating is for their Chicken Club Sandwich. So damn tasty. And I feel I really got a lot of value for the portions I received. Service was adequate. Facility was clean and new in appearance. Restroom was well-kept. It was a good rest stop for me.

Had the grossest salad today. :( Boiled flavorless chicken pieces on top of limp icky lettuce with a side of sliced tomatoes that were orange and crunchy because they weren't even close to being ripe. PASS!

This Bob Evan's is a wonderful spot for comfort food & great customer service. I personally enjoy it because I can go there, order healthy food and/or comfort calorie-laden food (all of which is prepared well), and spend time reading on my iPad without being pestered by the wait staff. I also enjoy taking my parents there, as well as watching older members of the community bring their grandchildren on "kids eat free" nights. Perhaps the best treat about the place is the bakery case at checkout: if you go for dinner, you can purchase one of their delicious breads or cinnamon blossoms for breakfast the next morning. Put it this way: it's the closest thing to a diner you can find in this area, minus the extra grease & cranky waitresses. Don't be chased away by the chain name: this particular franchise branch is exceptionally well-run.

My fault for letting my parents take me here. Bland fake food, poor service, salsa like ketchup. Omelette from some homogenized egg product. Just as expected.

This Sunday morning we went for breakfast. The place was not busy but we waited awhile before our hostess? Came over to seat us. She proceeded to seat us at the first table by the counter. I asked if we could be moved to a booth away from the counter. The Restuarant was half empty. Our Hostess? Greeter? Looked at me and said, " if you wanted a booth you should have said so when you came in." True story. I guess it was my mistake for not knowing the protocol at a Bob Evans. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Servers were pleasant but Bob Evans is off my list of eateries.

Crap! I've had it once and will never go back. Service was awful. Disgrace to "southern family cooking". Please that is not southern food.

First off - I like Bob Evans. They serve the best breakfast of all the chains and their service is usually excellent. Guess what? We waited 35 minutes for our three breakfasts and the coffee was near undrinkable. Our grandson decided at the end of the meal that he wanted to take a piece of their chocolate cake home for dessert. Big mistake - we waited another 10 minutes for our server to put a piece of cake in a box. Before we left I tracked down the manager (who avoided us the entire time) and explained that the service and coffee were terrible. He said he was surprised and that he would give me his business card so he could "take care" us the next time we stopped. I politely explained there would not be a next time.

Ever been to Dennys? Ever been to Cracker Barrel? Well, if you loaded both restaurants into a truck and rammed them into each other headlong, that'd be a Bob Evans. Bob Evans is one of those breakfast-all-day type places with a lot of "on the farm" food. So you have sides like Macaroni and cheese, baked beans, onion peels, fries, coleslaw etc. This location is just off the interstate and it's near my office, so I can swing in and grab lunch when I have time. The Good: Well I have to hand it to them the diverse menu is very useful for a family restaurant. There's something for everyone here, and if you can't find something.. then well.. I guess you can just go hungry. There's a wide variety from chicken strips to meatloaf, pulled pork BBQ, fish, and burgers. That is of course aside from the typical breakfast menu. Ever side I have gotten has been delicious. They macaroni and cheese, the fries, the onion peels, and most importantly the COLE SLAW! Service is friendly! The not so good: OK, so I don't want to rip this place, but I did give it 3 stars, and I'll tell you why. First of all, walking in the door is like taking a step back to 1993. The sickly green trim under the crown molding, the mismatched green and red chairs at the tables, the green on the booths (they may even have green carpet, I didn't notice.) and the "country baskets and plates" remind me of my parents house around this time period. It feels very dated. The sink faucets are too short, forcing you to rub your knuckles against the back of the sink to wash your hands in the bathroom and this frustrates me to NO END. Especially in a restaurant where you and the workers handle food. I don't want to shake hands with every person who ate there that day before handling my food. The service, while very friendly, was a bit slow. I can come here on a lunch break, but I wont often, because too many times getting back to work late and my boss might say something to me. Lunch for us workin' folk aint an all day affair ya know. I've been here twice. The first time I ordered chicken strips. They came out hot and fresh, but heavily dennys-esque. In fact I think they have the same provider. By Dennys-esque I mean stringy, hard to cut, with the same "fat" bulbous batter on them. The second time I ordered a cheeseburger from the $6 lunch menu. Eh.. I could take it or leave it. It's about what you'd get from Burger king. And the biggest negative for me? The price. 3 of us got the "$6" lunch.. we get the bill and its $30. Turns out, they charge $2.59 for a drink! I suppose I should have expected that, but I was expecting $18, not $30. It came as a shock! All in all: If you love coleslaw and you have time, give it a try! But don't expect miracles. If you want country cooking go up 1 exit to cracker barrel, if you want dennys.. I dunno.. (why on earth would you want a dennys??) find one. This isn't a place to avoid, but I wouldn't say, flock to it like its amazing or anything.

I like the new remodeled look but I feel like the portions at breakfast have gotten a lot smaller and the prices are higher. But with that said I love their breakfast food and I love their to go family meals. Those are a great value and always a family favorite.

Decent, consistent food at a good price. The other restaurants in the area did not fare well on yelp so we went with BE and was not disappointed. Both of us had a salad entree that we completely consumed with a glass of water. Great service and clean!

This place is fine for breakfast, I like it better than Denny's or Peach's (where I got sick and had to be hospitalized overnight with projectile vomiting and diarrhea and dehydration from gastroenteritis after eating their Eggs Benedict), and more than First Watch (where the food is generally subpar, the coffee atrocious and which can't decide if it's a Mexican restaurant or not). It's not the norm, but we did get a really bad waitress the last time at this location, tho. I carefully explained I wanted their 'biscuit and egg' but on the optional English Muffin. She brought back a biscuit and egg, then gave me an argument that I hadn't asked for the English Muffin. she forgot the bacon from my mom's breakfast, and took forever to pick it up. We saw it sitting on the counter. She was disorganized, slow and pointlessly defensive. The coffee is caustic and terrible here, and the juices (orange, tomato) are expensive. My family and I usually give wait staff the benefit of the doubt (I've waited tables), and we tipped her at 20%, but that was not my decision. I wish there was someplace to post constructive criticism, where the wait staff could read it and hopefully 'get' that it was directed at them and take note. On the plus side, their male host provided my mother with a chair (getting it himself), when it was apparent that she required a seat, and he seated us near the entrance so she wouldn't have to do her slow walk with a cane thru a very crowded restaurant. Kudos to him and his kindness and sensitivity.

Great food and staff, very consistent, a good thing with food. We eat everywhere in Sarasota/Manatee counties. From roadside roach coaches to 5 star restaurants(few and far between here). When you want a goooood breakfast with goooood service, go to Bob Evans. I'm just sayin', my family chooses us to drive to Bob Evan's after church than Cracker Barrel, Peaches, Grandma Yoders(new owners & it hasn't faired well with us since) or all the other Perkins type places we've been to. Don't get mr wrong, if money is no object go to Peridia's Sunday brunch, it's excellent.
