Decided to stop at the Holiday inn last night in Bonify, FL...looked up restaurants on Yelp and found the Mustang Grill...such great reviews we had to try...also asked the manager at the hotel who said it was great...and oh my goodness it really was! It's a tiny little place..but the service is big! We were welcomed by Erin our waitress....let me tell you both waitresses(Skylar and Erin) are just too cute and sooooo nice! My husband had a rib-eye prepared southern style with onions and mushrooms.....oh my...Ruth Chris move over....melt in your mouth goodness! I had a dish with shrimp, curry, rice....all I can say is WOW!! We asked to meet chef Vic to let him know that we really enjoyed our dinner and that we would definitely be back on our next trip. Now we were really full after our dinner and wine, but decided to try a little of both desserts....almond cheesecake and key lime pie...forget about taking one bite ......so delicious!!! Thank you Erin, Skylar, Vic, Darline, and Dee for a wonderful evening!! Debi Thayer

A surprisingly nice hole in the wall restaurant!! I have to say I wouldn't have ever tried this place had I not searched on Yelp! There was 5 of us who ate there. My date and I had "the special" which was a choice of one appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 sides (1each). I got chicken tortuga, which was a nicely seasoned tender chicken breast topped with grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms (which I generously gave to my date haha) and cheddar cheese.....nom nom!! My date got chicken Alfredo but unfortunately it was rather bland. I make a really good Alfredo so I had greater expectations for a restaurant's. Maybe add some garlic, salt and basil? Anyway, it was "ok". Our sides were mashed potatoes and squash casserole, both of which were scrumptious (and that says quite a bit for mashed potatoes). The other 3 people had tuna dip (which my date and i also had) served with tortilla chips and it was pretty good. I love spice so i think ,personally, I'd love some sort of spicy pico to go with it. They also got red beans and rice. I didn't taste it but they both said they would give it 4-5 stars, but they're not as picky as me! My mom got chicken fingers , which she liked but again, she isn't picky. They looked to be coated with flour laced with spices. They all said they got bigger portions than they expected....my date and thought the portions were normal sized. Service was pretty good, even though the waitress didn't know what "chicken tortuga" was and our sweet/unsweet teas were mixed up several times. She was really sweet and got another waitress to tell us about the tortuga. Would definitely go back again!!

I've eaten here a couple of times in the past few months. My review star rating is based on 3 key factors. 1. Service --This establishment has some of the most personal service I have received. Very genuine servers who have taken my order perfectly each time. No mistakes and always a friendly-cheery attitude. 2. Food - I've had a few burgers and a steak. Each dish was cooked perfect to order. Very juicy and very tasty. My food was served the instant it was cooked without any "death on the shelf" effecting my food. 3. Restaurant decor and seating - Very relaxed and a very authentic southern feel. While the restaurant isn't that big, no one is sitting on top of each other. Proper space between booths and chairs for comfort and conversation. The decor is a personal touch..far better than the cloned franchises you see dotting the states. If you are traveling the I-10 and want an experience you will remember make sure you stop here. You won't be disappointed..

Charming family restaurant and grill attached to their RV park. Bonifay is a small town , but my Curry Shrimp on rice was uptown! I also had a delicious piece of homemade cheesecake! And the folks there are as friendly as you might expect for LA (lower Alabama). For my job I have had to eat in every small town on the I-10 corridor from Perry to Century, Fl. Tonight, the Mustang Grill became my favorite. Whether you love steak, seafood or are a vegetarian, the Mustang will have delicious food AND acceptable wine and beer for your taste. Go, you won't regret it.

This place is a small restaurant hidden in a trailer park. But so glad we didn't let that deter us. The lady at the holiday inn recommended we give a try. So we did. I would say there are about 6 tables in the place. Menu items range from a hamburger to New York strips, jambalaya , fish, shrimp, and pasta to name a few. We ordered potato skins and mozzarella sticks for appetizers, which were perfectly cooked. I had a fish, steak, fettuccine trio. My husband had a southwest ribeye. Both were tasty. This was by far a fancy dinner in a little out the way place. The service and staff were so friendly and attentive as well. Even my eleven year old wanted to return for more cheese sticks. If you are in Bonifay at dinner time, you must give this place a try.

This restaurant is in a campground and looking at the building first reaction is to someplace else then you quickly learn there are not many dining choices. The restaurant is very cool, food was excellent(I had a nice 12 0z ny strip for $13) and wait staff super friendly

I found this little, unassuming place near my hotel and decided to try it. Here, at an RV park, I had a delicious dinner, a fresh tasty salad, true Southern sweet tea, and friendly service. The menu is eclectic but full of nice choices with a regional flavor. I had the fried shrimp which were plump, flavorful and nicely breaded. The Lima beans were delectable and a rare side item treat. The decor is unique and interesting. Traveling on I 10 west of Tallahassee? Give the Mustang Grill a try!

Very pleasant dinner with excellent and friendly service. We tried southern dishes that we do not usually see in Boston (our home) and found them very tastee. I think that the star average did not do this place justice.

The owners and staff are so friendly and warm and proud of their self-made place. The Rv park is a little peaceful oasis with a pond off Highway 10. Sadly, my steak was much too salty, so maybe caution the cook on the salt. Grouper cheeks are a local specialty. The music was surprisingly soothing and the booths cozy. . The experience was enjoyable and I recommend this little unique place.

My husband and I were passing through town for the night and stayed at the RV park where this restaurant is located. We didn't even know it was here till we checked in. We were starving and it was a small town and the menu looked good so we gave it a try. We were very pleased with everything we had. We both ordered steak and we both felt that they were the best steaks we had been served in a restaurant in a long time. I always have mine well done and the cook managed to do it very nicely, still juicy but cooked all the way through just the way I wanted it. The baked potato was fluffy and moist just the way they should be and the rice and vegetables that came with the appetizer were very good as well. It's just a little place and it's in an RV park but I would say it's easily got the best food in this little town based on my experience with much larger towns and chain restaurants which just don't measure up to this kind of real cooked to order food. We really enjoyed the quiet, quaint atmosphere and the staff was all friendly and helpful. It was the first time I have had the chef come to the table and ask if my steak was cooked the way I wanted it and offer to throw it back on if I wanted it cooked more. They seemed really interested in making sure we enjoyed the food. It's a small enough place that they can take the time to make it the way food should be done, deliciously! They even serve breakfast by appointment if you are staying in the park and want to have a nice hot breakfast before you get on the road for the day, we are going to give that a try too! Would love to come back and eat here again if we are coming through town. If you can get here you should definitely give them a try but they are only open till 8:00 in the evening so plan on coming early. I overheard some local regulars talking about their shrimp special and how their beans and rice is wonderful and that they ate in there all the time and never had anything they didn't like, I believe it!
