We had lunch here after finding great Yelp reviews about it. The service was fast and the food was way better that Chipotle or similar places. We both had salad bowls and it was delicious. Everything is served with what I think is fired plantains, which is different and a treat! It is a pretty simple place- you order at the counter then they bring your food to the table. It was around noon, so we had to wait in line, but it moved quickly and efficiently. If you are nearby stop by for sure!

3.5: "Superior to Chipotle" sums it up. This is a clean, well decorated and less insane option to Chipotle in a quiet tucked-away strip next to BurgerFi. Everything is made to order, it's fresh, there's a salsa bar (genius) and the staff is very friendly. I found the tacos to be more "quantity over quality" (big plate for $9, but not particularly inspired) - I've seen how good a fish taco can be in San Diego, so I'm ruined forever. I never pass up a chance to try horchata, and here I found it watery and lacking, so no added points there. My favorite Mexican option in the area remains the divey Chapultepec further North in Hallandale, but this is a solid option if you're in the area.

I've been to the one on 29th and Biscayne and had a good experience but that location was a little far from where I live. Happy that there's one in Aventura & this was my 1st visit. The restaurant has a pretty cool design and doesn't feel like an ordinary fast food joint. Plenty of outdoor seating, as well as parking. I ordered 3 soft tacos...chicken & beef. Nice big portions & served with chips. Loved the different dips & sauces at the fixins station. I opted for Spicy Tangy (poblano rajas, corn, lettuce, crushed chili salsa & cheese). It was pretty tasty. I just wished they were a little hotter...as in melted cheese and warm meat. Overall I prefer the entrees here than Chipotle. Will come back and try the Acapulco Salad :)

My friend and I ordered the fajitas - he got the beef and I got the chicken. Although our meal was good, I wish they would provide more than just 3 fajitas; even a fourth one would have made a difference (you get about 8 strips of chicken, so 4 fajitas would make more sense than 3, so that you can distribute the strips evenly). Our orders came out quickly, which worked out perfectly as we had a movie to catch. The guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream were delicious, as was the lava cabbage sauce (I usually mix it with the green tomatillo sauce to add a kick of heat to it). I'm not sure who is in charge of ordering supplies, but that person needs to get their act together as they were completely out of lids for the drinks. As a restaurant, shouldn't you have an excess of supplies (or just the right amount), rather than being under-supplied? It was upsetting to have sweet tea spill all over my car when I drove off with my drink. That being said, I'm not going to let something so trivial stop me from returning. Maybe the supplier ran out so it's not even the restaurant's fault. This is a good option to have when wanting to catch a movie at Aventura without spending too much time or money in a formal restaurant. I look forward to trying other items from their menu.

So for the first time in my life I take over my girlfriend yelp account to write a review. Still eating right now but I have to take time to write a review. First time here and the cashier recommend that they have amazing tostones so I order Monterey mix that includes tostones and my girlfriend got the loaded tostones. Food came to the table and guess what both tostones are burned. So they refired the order and the came Oka not amazing. Also I order orchata and have to go twice to the cashier to get it because they forgot. After all this happen my girlfriend request a side of sour cream and they charged 65 cents. Thanks guys to make my life easier and keep choosing Chipotle Mexican grill over you guys. #chipotlerocks #youguyssucks

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I loved it all. Food was super tasty. We are always in search of a restaurant with great vegetarian dishes. This place has so many choices. The sauces are very tasty. Very clean and rustic looking at the same time.

I'm not into Mexican food but just for a new experience, I tried this place and I was pleasantly surprised. I'll come again!!! **Note: Cool place to take a 1st date to!!!, I'm just sayin'...y'all I mean, the Taco's were "off the hook!" The service was crazy cool and the atmosphere was pretty chill too. I ordered the fish taco with the mango, which was the best fish taco that I ever had, I ordered the Salsa Enchiladas, which was tasty and the Mayan roll dessert, which is great with that whipped cream. Oh and the drinks are good too, try the root beer. Nice work!!!!

Forget Chipotle, forget Lime. This is the place to get some delicious Mexican fast food! Food comes out real fast, at times it's ready as you pocket your change, or as you sit down at the table. They don't have a whole rack of hot sauces like Lime, which I miss, but all is forgiven when I tasted their lava cabbage in the salsa station. It's a blue cabbage salsa. I was fooled as I never expected purple food to be spicy, but holy guac this one is fiery! And addictive! I like how the choice of taco shell includes soft, hard, whole wheat, corn, even lettuce wrap for those shying away from carb. My corn tortilla though, start disintegrating the moment I pick it up. The CIA should use this to write spy messages. I also enjoy the tostones fiesta. It's like your average nachos but with tostones instead of corn chips. The tostones are still warm when the dish arrives, and it's crispy with an airy crunchiness, not too dense. If you like beer, try their draft: it's an agave wheat beer, a little unusual, and very delicious. Wish they serve it in glass though, (especially considering they offer real plates and silverware instead of plastic cutlery and styrofoam plates.) Add to that the comfortable seating (seats along the wall even have little pillows), a nice selection of drinks (jarritos soda, beer, margaritas) and it's easy to see why it gets five stars.

It seems so easy to make fast, quality tex-mex, but I was disappointed. I wanted to break the monotony of Chipotle, but Salsa Fiesta came up short. My hot tamale burrito bowl was a mushy mess. The lettuce was soggy. It looked like the layers of "bowl" had just drooped and spread to the corners of the container. It looked unappealing and did not taste much better. The best part was the "spicy beans" and tamale sauce. The grilled veggies, lettuce, pico, and rice were all pretty bleak. My girlfriend got a quesadilla which she ended up picking apart to avoid some of the hardened cheese. I'm a condiments girl, but I didn't even find the salsa bar redeeming. Won't be back.

There's nothing to not like about this place. If you like creative Mexican style food then you should try it. It's located in a large shopping plaza, so usually parking is not an issue. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. I like the design, somewhere between rustic and modern. But to the point, anything you get here will be delicious... Burritos, quesadillas, tacos, bowls, you name it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed . My favorite so far is the avocado rice bowl (with ground beef) with an order of crispy tostones. Always order tostones no matter what!!! The ingredients are very fresh and made to order. Everything is perfectly seasoned and delicious. They also have a small salsa bar. The staff is fast and very friendly. My only issue would be their beer selection which is very small, but you'll most likely be here for the food so then it's not an issue. Price wise it's a little high, but the food is worth it. Check it out.

Dude. I am kind of obsessed with this place. I wouldn't say that this place oozes extravagance but it is unique and delicious to boot! You walk in and order at the register then sit and they bring you food. Somewhat standard procedure. I really think you could order anything here and be satisfied, I love their tacos and especially salsa and various condiments. They've got a small little bar where you can get different sauces for your added pleasure. They've got margaritas and beer as well! Staff has always been pleasant and accommodating. There is plenty of room to sit inside as well as some outside on the sidewalk area which is certainly nice on some of those not too warm evenings. I've been here numerous times with my babe and we always have a good time, so it's definitely a great date spot. Can't wait to head back soon, don't take for granted what you've got right around the corner. :)

I was in the mood for Mexican. I also had to get some work done. So I stopped by Salsa Fiesta. The food is very good. I had the tacos with beef and mango. I eaten here before, so 4 stars for the food. The staff was also friendly and my order came out within minutes. Then I pulled out my laptop and I remember that this place still has NO WIFI! (Minus 1 star) Come on people! Other fast food places near by have free WIFI. Why can't you modern up? I guess for now I can't go back to eat and work here...

This place is quickly becoming my go-to spot for Mexican. Always fresh, tasty, and amazingly fast. One time my order was done and ready before I could even got to my table! Prices are very reasonable, only some of the combo platters are more than $10 but those platters come with a lot of food, like enough to make a 2nd meal! I also really like their salsa bar, with unique flavors like Lava Cabbage and Tamarindo. Their best hot sauce/dip, the hot tamale, is only available as a paid extra but totally worth it. There's usually a container with chips for sampling at the cash register, try it!

2 words: CORNMEAL SALSA!!!! FT effin W! That salsa was delish!!! I literally had them stuff a quart sized container of it so I could freeze and fly back to LA with! Hmmmmm mmmmm it was oh so good. We need a Salsa Fiesta out here. Kind of like a jazzier Baja Fresh. The food overall was really tasty and I will remember to come back next time I'm in the Miami area. Decent sized casual-dining restaurant. We were a part of 7 or 8 with a toddler and we all we comfortable and enjoyed our meal. Check them out if you haven't already and get that cornmeal salsa. You're welcome! :-)

I have only been here once but I can't stop thinking about it, I would eat here once a week if I lived close. I went with an instinct and ordered the carnitas (pork) in the form of an urban bowl. I did this because I wanted a decent amount of lettuce and this had that PLUS tons of delicious juicy shredded pork and a very nice guacamole. I usually reserve my pork consumption for my beloved bacon and I usually just eat bacon that I have vetted to be from a non factory farmed situation. LIke mega chain Chipotle this family owned chain boasts happy healthy meat and I am a sucker for that!! When the runner brought me my Urban bowl I thought there was a mistake and he was bringing me a giant family sized bowl of guacamole. That is a good thing. I ate the entire thing and washed it down with sparkling water which I deeply love paying a premium for so I can enjoy my bubbles without having to slum it with soda. The rice and beans were cooked very well. I would have liked to sample the cornmeal salsa available at the register but three children whose parents were ignoring them were getting crazy and double dipping seemed like a possible issue. Next time!!

I was very excited to try but found it a bit disappointing. Chicken tacos were bland & chips tasted like the oil they were cooked in was 3 weeks old. Also thought it was over priced for what I got. I did enjoy the sauces in the salsa bar. I think il stick to Chipotle though

Omg, I LOVE this place! I wish there was one by my crib. I can only eat this when I go to work on lunch break :( I've sampled almost everything on the menu. Everything I've ordered was so good! This is like you hip, modern Mexican spot. I'm going to do my best to remember the names of the items or describe it. I love the tostones piled with all types of stuff like beans, rice, guacamole, and other items that can go in a burrito. It was delicious! But you have to eat this item right away because there is no way the tostones will taste the same once home. Their tacos are really delicious. I get the original, but they have other ones. The salads are good as well and huge! The best is their desert, the Mayan! It's this fried dough roll filled with chocolate and they bring you whip cream and caramel for you to dip it in. Soooo good! There's just so much there that's good so check it out if you like Mexican. It will be worth it!

The food is very fresh and the service is great. The seasoning is a little bland compared to Chipotle and Lime. The Sangria is great. Last time I was there the sangria they were serving was Eppa Sangria, which is a big favorite of mine. I look forward to eating there again, but I will maybe get something different besides the chicken tacos.

I don't know when Salsa Fiesta opened in Aventura, but I'm glad they did. I thought their food was delicious when I went to a Yelp event last year at their Ft. Lauderdale location. A few weeks ago I noticed this Salsa Fiesta while I was on my way to see my mom. I made a mental note that I had to try it out. Tonight my husband and I stopped on our way back to Boca Raton. We weren't very hungry so we decided to share an order of guacamole and chips a few tacos. The service was so outgoing and friendly. We put in our order at the front desk, found a seat at one of their tables, and a few minutes later one of the servers brought our food. The chips tasted fresh and the guacamole was delicious. I love good guacamole and theirs was perfect. The tacos were good and we topped them off with salsa from their salsa bar. I'm looking forward to going back so I can try some of the other foods they offer.

So delicious! I fell upon this little gem kind of by accident - but wow! So cheap and so delicious and looks like they even use natural ingredients. Plus, the people who work there were super friendly and even brought me my food. Move over, Chipotle - this is my new favorite fast-food Mexican joint!

Salsa Fiesta is a nice alternative to Chipotle since they have a lot more menu options. We've been here about 3 times since it opened and it's been pretty solid. Even on their opening day there weren't any hiccups (yay for the free margarita they offered!). We're a fan of dining outside with the brightly colored chairs but inside is pretty trendy with a giant sugar skull mural. As for the food, I was very surprised with the quality of meat in their Acapulco salad. The portion was huge and the ingredients were fresh which is sure to please any salad lover. I've also had their Tostada Fiesta which I wasn't entirely wow-ed by, although the tostones as a side were a nice touch. Given it is right around the corner from our place and their menu has quite a bit to offer, it's likely we'll keep this in rotation for the "I'm too tired to cook" nights.

The tacos are a must try! They really are so tasty. I tried one fish and one ground beef original taco with whole wheat tortillas and enjoyed them both. The fish is nicely seasoned; best fish taco I've ever had. The Mayan roll dessert are delicious also. Better taste and better ingredients than Taco Bell. I'll be back.

Visited this location during lunch hour and I can say - I wasn't impressed. If this would had been my first time visiting a salsa fiesta location, I probably wouldn't return. I usually go to the Pembroke Pines location near my house but today I stopped in here since I was working in the area. The service was good, cashier was friendly, and server was nice. The food however was just - blah. I ordered my usual steak quesadillas because I know how delicious they COULD be.... The quesadillas arrived on a lonely plate- It didn't come served with the pico de gallo or sour cream like other times I have eaten this at PP location. The whole wheat flour quesadillas themselves were toasted but for some reason they were warm and not hot (temperature). I'm not sure if they have them pre-made for the lunch rush and just "warm" them up?... Since I'm on a short lunch time and STARVING I was not going to send the food back to be "reheated". I HATE sending my food back to the kitchen, it should come out right the first time. Even the steak inside was warm and not hot- perhaps, it's cold and they just warm it up when they toast their quesadilla? I was not impressed. Not for an $8 steak quesadilla. I'll just stick to the PP location and avoid the Aventura location.

Great food !! Freshness of the ingredients is remarkable. Made from scratch every day is authentic. We ordered several dishes to take a bite of everything and every one was outstanding. We had lunch; from the time we paid until they brought us the food it took two minutes, no more than that. If you want to eat great food with fresh ingredients and you look for fast service this is the place for you. Six Salsa Fiesta so far in Miami-area, excelent job!! Let me know for next locations.

This charming interior decor has a restaurant feel, with a fast food gimmick. Order at the counter, serve your drink from the beverage station, food delivered on a tray and enjoy. However, they were clean and food was fresh. A good choice for a easy dinner. We ordered seconds on the tacos they were wonderful! LOVED THE FISH TACO!

Food was awesome loved the mango salsa and the nachos were the bomb! Food came out almost instantly but was fresh at the same time. The burrito my wife ordered was real good. I'm my opinion better then Chipotle.

As I've stated many times before, I grew up in California and spent 13 years in LA- exploring every taco stand in Southern California and Mexico (Baja). Mexican food is my favorite and I've always been underwhelmed by Miami's lack of it. The tacos here were great, but what really makes this place stand apart is its SERVICE. Customer service in South Florida has always left something to be desired...slow, rude, inattentive, what have you. Not exactly sure why but being treated as an afterthought or nuisance to servers/hospitality workers is the norm here. It's just a fact of living in Miami I guess, you put up with it for the great weather and year-round mangoes. Well I was in Miami for a week during Easter and I ate here three times. Yes, because the food was fresh, fast, flavorful and really reasonably-priced, but what kept me coming back was the great attitude and friendly welcome of everyone who worked there from the cashier to the cooks to the bussers....I was seriously impressed. One evening, too tired to cook or do something complicated for dinner, we arrived around 9:55 (they close at 10pm on weekends). We were told that a few items (such as steak) were unavailable since they were closing down the grill but aside from that they took our order, let us eat there and didn't rush us out the door. I really appreciated the no attitude even though we showed up right before closing time. Now to the food! I chose soft corn tortillas each time and a variety of tacos. The fish is mahi or another firm white fish, grilled, not fried. Great with the mango/cabbage preparation. Carnitas were tender and flavorful. Chicken was all breast meat, also tender. Steak was flavorful as well, great with the rajas/corn preparation. Each came with a generous portion of fresh chips and salsa. Their "Hot Tamale" salsa was seriously addicting! Another fabulous feature of this place is the fresh-made salsa bar. Not only can you customize your tacos (or burritos) with fillings, veggies, sauces, but they have a fresh salsa bar with no less than five different house-made salsas and this refreshing beet/chile salsa. Everything was super fresh, you could tell it was made that day. They also serve beer and margaritas, great for eating outside on their patio for a leisurely dinner or long lunch. All in all the service was so welcoming and friendly (the people that work here enjoy it and treat the customers like friends) that I would return again and again even if the food wasn't so fresh and flavorful. However, the food is really great and reminds me of the numerous fresh taco/fresh Mex places in California. A great addition to the neighborhood.

Loved this place! The food was so good and so fresh. I recommend the ground beef. The steak was pretty fatty. But the tacos were really pretty tasty for the price!

Food is great!! Except they always mess up my order & they are on the expensive side for a place that doesn't have table service.

I like the concept of the restaurant however the food is fair. Comes out super fast so hard to believe it is actually made fresh. The quesadilla was bland and my husband did not care for the tacos either. Also, the young lady that works the counter has a bit of an attitude. Prefer Lime to this establishment.

Let me start by saying that we loved the food and the menu here! If it were based on just the food we would give at least 4 stars. Groupon introduced us to this place and we are glad they did, but there was an issue with transferring our Groupon from an email to the app and the staff would not work with us. After arguing with the cashier for 10 minutes my husband gave up and paid full price for our food. For some reason, they could not input the code from the email on my husband's phone. The cashier just kept saying it had to be printed out first (even though she was just going to input it in the computer just the same). Anyhow, once we finally received our food after that mess we were very happy. I had the taco combo plate and tried a little bit of everything. So good! Our son enjoyed the chicken flautas (he's very picky)and loved them! My husband devoured a burrito in minutes. If the service experience weren't such a hassle, we were planning to order some beers for happy hour and try the tostones, as well. Unfortunately, our experience was tainted by the unwillingness of the staff to work with us. After eating our meal, my husband called Groupon about the issue and they transferred the gift Groupon back to my account, so that we could pull it up on my app. My husband then went back to the cashier to get a refund on our credit card so that they could finally apply the Groupon. While they did do this for us...the cashier had an attitude about having to deal with it. I know it's not their fault that Groupon was having an issue transferring the gift, but I feel like they could have worked out something out for us or at the very least been more apologetic or accommodating. As first time customers, if they had offered to give us an entree free, we may have been happy to return within two weeks with the printed out Groupon (because it was soon to expire). But because they were difficult and insisted we pay full price, we didn't want to have to return so soon... Maybe our next visit will be more pleasant? We will wait a while to return. The staff should understand that Groupon brings in new business and if you give a great first impression (along with the awesome food) people will keep coming back...AND more frequently! Happy customers also order more items and spend more money, which would have been our case.

Bringing my neighbor here for the first time has been an experience. He loved his choice of meals but didn't like the lava sauce. I love the lava sauce. While here I was able to witness the chef making the ceviche. That is the next thing on my list to try.

I recently tried Salsa Fiesta for the first time and was impressed. The food and salsa included high quality ingredients, which was noticeable and helped to enhance the food. I had the enchiladas and thought they were great compared to other fast-food style Mexican restaurants. Also I ordered a margarita and was shocked as to how good it was since it came out of a machine. Typically machine style margaritas are lacking tequila. but this drink certainly wasn't. One thing I was impressed with was how clean the restaurant was, literally the employees cleaned off dirty tables within seconds after guests left the restaurant. I'll definitely be heading back to Salsa Fiesta in the future.

My go to "semi-fast food" mexican restaurant. I was looking for a LIME replacement and this is it.. It has the rare combination of great food and service..This combo is rare in Miami. Everyone from the cashiers to the those delivering the food to the table seem to always be helpful and friendly. Love the tostones, good mild salsa, and the fajitas are great! you can order with bib lettuce if you are avoiding carbs... To those who did not have a great experience with the food, I bet they did not say anything... If they did, I have seen the employees there go out of there way to fix the issue... : )

came here with a groupon and the place was not up to par, the service was bad and the food was not filling pricier then usual and weird tasting. The atmosphere is dark and hip so it is a chill spot to hang out but the food is not for me and i love mexican, would not come back

Originally considered this place a 3 star establishment earlier this year but after trying it again a few days ago it seems to have pulled a complete 180. The ingredients were always high quality but it now has the flavors to match. I had the merro macho tacos with steak and flower tortilla and it was outstanding; Just the right amount of chimi so that it's not over powering and oily. The chips and pico were fresh and delicious. The dessert, which I never would have tried in a million years as they tend to be pretty weak in these little mexican restaurants, was offered gratis so I couldn't pass that up and I was quite blown away. High quality dark chocolate wrapped in tender crispy fried dough and served with (what seems to me like) fresh whipped cream and a side of caramel to dunk it in. Customer service was also a pleasant surprise. James, I think his name was, the manager that was present saw to it that we were well taken care of. They've definitely gained a repeat customer.

Nice place yet can be inconsistent both with food and staff. Some days are better than others. If you want fast food Mexican - this is a good place overall.

Good and consistent food, when you compare it with their other locations. Service is fast, friendly and the prices are reasonable. The appetizer platter is good to share, but order it alone, and not with the rest of your meal, since they will bring everything together to your table and your main dish will get cold. Salsas options are good (from mild to really jalapeño hot). Good for a quick lunch or dinner, especially during the weekend.

What more do you want for these prices? I went there when they first opened and was underwhelmed. The ingredients were fresh and good quality but the food lacked flavor. You can guess where Im going here...I went back recently and the food was awesome. Same very fresh and flavorful ingredients were now prepared and seasoned well, and the food was delicious. I've since returned and had a couple burritos, several tacos, the steak sandwhich and the fried chicken sandwich and let me tell you, all meals are under $10 and terrific. Definitely an Aventura staple for me now whenever I want fresh tasty mexican at good prices. Try the hot tamale salsa, delicious. Special commendations have to go out to James, the manager there. He literally constantly walks around to make sure everyone loves their meals and is a BIG part of why the Aventura location is so great right now! I'll be back, and I'm no easy critic!

I ordered their ceviche and apparently they are doing it with pangasius fish (swai). The cheapest and WORST quality fish coming from the Mekong river which is highly polluted. I obviously left the place as soon as I found out. It's extremely sad that many places in miami to bring up this fish on their menu. It's dirt cheap and tastes like any white fish but it's really the worst. seafoodsource.com/commen…

Great place to eat mexican food fast., and in a cool environment. Let's be specific: Local: They created an awsome atmosphere, it's a clean and trendy place. You order at the Cashier on the front of the store, they will give you kind of a buzzer and take your meal to the table you choose to sit. We arrived just before the lunch hour, so it was empty when we arrived and pack by the time we left. Staff: Pretty standard I will say. They greet us, and treat us fine. A little more enthusiasm giving recommendations would be nice. But it wasn't bad. Food: the food came out really quick, I barely got time to get my soda (Free refill) and seat down when the waiter brought our food to the table. Taste! AMAZING! I had the Fajitas(Mix Chicken and Steak): cook to perfection! with soft Corn tortillas (They have like 4 different types of tortillas) , sour cream, a very tasty Salsa, cheese and one of the best Guacamoles I ever tasted (You can notice is fresh from the day). they have a couple of great sauces near the Soda machine. The hot sauce got the right amount of flavor to not over power the actual food. My friend got the Nachos fiesta (Boy, is that a big nacho's plate! ) they were delicious. Then share a dessert: The Mayan roll: Its kind of 2 fried tacos fill with chocolate and you get a side of Dulce de leche and house made whipped Cream! yeah, if you like Chocolate, and dulce de leche this is great, the whipped cream was a great surprise, I am not a big whiped cream guy but this one tasted really good!. Final note: The good: Place, Food! Food!, Food! The Bad: The ONLY have ONE dessert, come on! people like to have dessert after the salty food. Give us options! Summary: Great place overall.

Not bad for what it is -- which is just a step above Chipotle. Not really "gourmet" or overly authentic. Was disappointed that the guy at the counter didn't seem to even know what horchata was. Decent burrito, average guacamole, below average pico.

Great food and great menu, but the staff is not very friendly, I had to rush my ordered because the person in the cash machine expected me to be familiar with their order system and I did not received any instructions on how to order

I came here with a group and was absolutely impressed. This family owned business rivals Lime, Chipotle and all those other chains. Samuel, one of the owners explained to us that each restaurant is owned by a sibling and all of the items on the menu are prepared on site. I started with a frozen margarita which was quite tasty and strong. We then sat down at tables and started with fresh crispy chips, guacamole, and the tastiest corn based smoky, spicy "hot tamale" dip I have ever had. Our group shared samples of some of their most popular dishes including chicken quesadillas, torta milanesa, taquitos, flautas, and many others. Since I don't eat meat, they accommodated me and allowed me to order another dish of my choice. I chose the Torta Verracruz which was a latin/mexican fusion sandwich and was quite tasty. We also had access to an unbeatable salsa bar. My favorites were the red lava (spicy cabbage salsa) and the tamarindo (medium spicy, delicious). There were plenty of bottles of hot sauce right there at the salsa bar. For dessert we sampled the mayan rolls which were delectable. I will definitely come back here again. Nothing like delicious mexican food made from fresh and healthy ingredients.

The food is fresh and most of the time is very quick. I have eaten here 6 to 7 times now because it is close to where I live and I think reasonably priced. I usually just do the tacos which I think are good and I am not a big taco person. I don't even usually like guacamole and I like theirs on my tacos.

Been to this place several times and I'm always blown away by the amount of food for the $, the service, and the owner! The owner is ALWAYS THERE and always checks up on his guests. They are super fast with the food service, and the people are always very, very kind. The atmosphere is fantastic also with large booths with pillows, and I always turn around and it's an hour+ I've been sitting there speaking with the person I came with! You forget where you are because it is such a comfortable place to enjoy amazing food and talk with friends. Awesome staff, amazing food, and a wonderful atmosphere! :)

Nice little Mexican surprise. I came here for the yelp event. We tried so many things and they were all delicious. We started out with quesadillas and a margarita. Everything was very tasty, although the margarita was a bit strong and syrupy. We tried taquitos and soft tacos, chips w/ guacamole were awesome as well as the bean dip it came with. There were a few more dishes that came out but my margarita was strong and I can't remember their names, lol Just try it all, LOL! And most importantly have desert! Omg we had some fried little sweet taquitos looking thing w/ Nutella and cream. OMG! Delicious!!! I don't know what the guy is complaining about hot sauce. There were a few different types of hot sauces available. Met the owner and manager and all of the staff were very nice and accommodating.

I don't get the negative reviews here? A 1 star review for no hot sauce? I saw like 10 bottles of cholula and some other hot sauce next to that so I'm not sure about that? I felt like having Mexican and wanted to go somewhere different with authentic food. Salsa Fiesta is located right off Biscayne & 181st St in Aventura in a new outdoor mall. The second I walked into Salsa Fiesta I was greeted by the staff and given a menu. The menu was very diverse! I liked the colorful chairs, greenery & spaciousness. The Dia de Los Muertos skull on the wall is great too. I ordered a crispy Taco platter of carnitas: 1. Guerrero with mango was fresh and delicious. 2. Mero with black beans & sour cream was quite tasty 3. Spicy with SPICY poblano sauce and corn was my favorite. It comes with some corn tortillas and salsa but you can supplement from the condiment bar. The sangria was great, but maybe missing an orange slice or peel? Happy Hour for bevs was M-F 3-6p. I would like to note that when I first sat down at the table I chose to wait for my meal the table was wet. When I asked the staff for a napkin she explained that the wetness was a sanitizer that needs to air dry. Now, I work in a hospital and I REALLY appreciate that touch of cleanliness! If they pay attention to that at the front of the house I'm sure they do at the back of the house and that gives me confidence in the kitchen. I would NOT compare this place to Chipotle as they are 2 different styles of food service. Rather, compare it to a cheaper & maybe even tastier Rosa Mexicano. I would love to return.

The event went well. Made new friends and tried several different things on the menu. Also lots of different salsas to choose from. The taquitos were awesome and so was the guacamole and some humus dip I had as an appetizer. Give them a try. You won't be dissapointed.

Good place overall... food tastes good... prices are reasonalble (not cheap)... Portions of meat are a little small. But at least it is fresh and beats burgers.. Like the different salsa variety that they offer...

Excellent Mexican with a 5-star staff! My husband and I are very finicky, and we just love this place. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Today, our food and service were the "bomb" so I was compelled to write a Yelp review. The tacos are amazing! I especially like the carnitas (all flavors). My husband loves the chicken enchiladas. All of the salads, my usual order, area amazing. We love the salsa bar and the frozen margaritas--all at reasonable prices. The manager came over to ask how things were, which was very nice. We will be back again for sure!

Love the funky pink chairs to dine outside. Love that Salsa Fiesta is FINALLY on this side of town. Love their taco options. Only thing is... don't take their suggestion and order the corn tortillas. I'm convinced they just had a surplus they were trying to get rid of... and I'm the fool who risked it. Stick to flour, and guac, and chips. Amazing.

Great service and great food!!! We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer. Then the alcapulco salad and flautas. For dessert we had the mayan roll. All the food was absolutely delicious.

This isn't Team Jacob vs. Team Edward and shouldn't be Team Chipotle vs. Team Salsa Fiesta because in my opinion they're not comparable. Chipotle is one step above Taco Bell as far as service level provided and Salsa Fiesta is one step above Chipotle. Salsa Fiesta is in the same vein as Lime Mexican as far as price and service, but there are some notable differences in offerings and concept. Salsa Fiesta does not serve pinto beans!!!! I was in shock! I first tried to go to Salsa Fiesta on a Sunday, but as I approached and saw two women out front eating giant vats of yogurt, I had second thoughts. We were quickly greeted by a smiling employee who asked if we had been there before. She then explained that on Sundays during brunch hours, you can only order from the brunch menu, which mostly involves eggs and apparently vats of yogurt. This was not he kind of food I wanted to eat at a supposedly Mexican restaurant, so I came back on a weekday. We ordered chips and guacamole, tortilla soup and a vegetarian tostones fiesta. The bill was more than $20, which I thought was expensive for two people who were really just eating a snack. As far as decor, the place has a nice an trendy outdoor seating area, similar to Segafredo Zanetti, with brightly painted pseudo Victorian furniture. I'm not sure why that decor goes with Mexican food, but I liked it. The inside is modern and lofty ala Chipotle. A warning about the food: the menu pictures are deceiving. The tostones fiesta in the picture looked small and looked like you could almost pick up the tostones with your hands and eat them like nachos. What I got in reality was much bigger and the tostones were much more flattened and floppier. My tostones fiesta was overloaded with cheese and had a healthy amount of sour cream too. It was kind of like they just threw every vegetarian item onto a plate. There didn't seem to be a lot of thought or flavor to the dish. The restaurant does not have salt shakers, so getting salt for my tostones was like moving mountains. Who eats tostones sans salt!? The salsa bar was great. I highly recommend the tamarind sauce. It's a nice departure from the boring sauces available at most Mexican places. The guacamole and chips were great and so was the tortilla soup, although I found the soup serving size to be a bit small for the price. Overall, I like this place, but I just wasn't wowed. The menu offerings are different than Chipotle, Baja Fresh, or Lime. Salsa Fiesta has a lot more variety and a high level of service without actually providing waiter service. All of the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. However, the high prices reflect what's typical for trendy Mexican restaurants. The fact that on weekends there are times when you can't order food that is that Mexican or appealing disappoints me. The food was good, but I'm the type of person that finds something I like at a restaurant and I order that every time. The limited offerings at Baja Fresh or Chipotle don't bother me. The menu here was a bit overwhelming, and the tostones fiesta didn't wow me. Critical things this restaurant must do to survive: 1. Get noticed. It's waaaayyyy hidden from US-1. 2. Make prices more competitive. Chipotle is like half the price. 3. Offer pinto beans. Not everyone wants black beans all the time! 4. Ditch the brunch. It's not Mexican enough and turns customers off. The bottom line: I'll be back to give this restaurant a second chance, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. And because there are two Chipotles (one north and one south) of this place, the likelihood is that I'll be going back to Chipotle many times before I go here again. Sometimes less is more and a simpler menu means easier choices for customers and more flavor and thought goes into each dish.

For a while I have been a customer at their other location in Biscayne and 29th, when suddenly I am pleasantly surprised to see they opened another venue in Aventura. I am not normally around that area so I decided to give them a try in order to compare. I ordered my regular, a steak quesadilla. The whole ambience is more upscale than Biscayne's and the way it is served is a bit more classy as well. The taste of the food was the same (good and fresh) and the portion seemed to be a bit more, but nothing out of the ordinary. All in all, they seem to adapt well to their clientele in regards to design while keeping the food consistent across restaurants. GJ :)

A large variety of Mexican food and sauces are here, and they are FAST. Been here a couple times and had burritos and enchiladas, and there are so any other things I want to try. We've also had a huge acapulco salad, and a smaller taco salad. The prices are great, and take into account vegetarian options. As close as it is, we will visit many more times.

If you have had real mexican food then you will know that this place is a rip off for calling themselves "gormet mexican food".. They are over priced for their burritos that are the portion size made to feed a 12 year old child! Service was terrible, tables were not cleared after guests left and I would not recommend going here if you are looking for real mexican food.. Disappointed

Went here for book club. Food was pretty good and service was good too, but I am taking off a star because this woman with 4 kids was taking FOREVER to order and there were 2 people helping her and no one at the other cash register. It would have made logical sense that one of them would open the other register so that the 15 people in line wouldn't be standing there watching this woman order for no kidding, like 15 minutes.

Not only is this place DELICIOUS, the customer service is outstanding. I used to be a huge Lime fan. I would go there at least once a week but my co-workers told me I had to try this place. I cannot rave enough about it! Lets just say I have not been back to Lime! Also, the day I went, there were no water bottles in the refrigerator. The manager gave me a complimentary soda cup as an apology. He came by my table multiple times to check up on me and make sure the food and service was on point. I am very happy I was recommended this place. You guys rock!

My friend and I went to this place on the way back from South Beach. The decor was great! Eye catching, clean and welcoming. The prices weren't bad but I thought they were a bit on the high side considering it's not a sit down and serve me kind of place. I ordered a Zocola Torta. platter. It's basically a chicken sandwich, some nachos and a small salad. The food was good. The highlight of the meal was the salad -- that was really good. If I'm in the area... I may try it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Very yummy! The mero macho taco, crispy, with steak was my fave!!! Followed closely by the Guerrero and the spicy tango. The tostones were good as well. Kinda surprised by the low rating? Anyway, SF reminds me of how Lime used to be when they first opened. Hopefully they keep up the good work. The steak was so tender and flavorful.

Salsa fiesta have the best mexican food in town. The flavor of the food is really really good and everything taste so fresh. I never been there when the place is really busy but every time i go they bring the food real fast. However not all my experiences have been perfect there. The last time i was there, the cashier that took our order messed it up. We got there 3 minutes before 6:00 pm which means that i could had ordered drinks with the happy hour price. there was a big line to ordered food and only one cashier taking orders, so the happy hour was over when when got to him. I asked and he said that he couldn't do it that the computer is set up to 6:00 pm. I seriously think think its not my fault that they have only one slow person at register. to top it off, He call a person that was behind us in line because she had a take out. I personally think if we all making a line everybody has to wait no matter what they are going to do. It looks like the only person with customer service skills there is the manager...

Is different from other tex mex restaurants (chipotle, Lime fresh) , Nice ambience, great service , the food is really fresh!, no frozen avocado or precooked meats; you can taste the difference, the price is very good for the quality of the food . I recommend the steak fajitas Also try the homemade sauces. Awesome !!

Not really a fan...portion size was pretty small on the tacos and the meat was cold. Toppings were fancy but they didnt really go together that well. Expensive for lunch (with tip), even for Aventura.

  • Jacob R.

I was a bit apprehensive considering it looks like a fast food order and leave place but we dined in and the quality of food was great! Everything was fresh and there was a salsa bar with fresh unneglected (wasn't hours old) choices. I would definitely go back!

This place would easily get 4-5 stars for the cool upscale Chipotle concept, excellent branding, friendly and attentive staff, nice menu, and very tasty food. However, the rice in the burrito was VERY undercooked. This is so simple. Prices were okay, but slightly on the high end for a semi-self service restaurant. I'd give them another chance. Granted I did not complain about the undercooked rice...only because I was in a rush. If it were properly cooked, I think it would have been MUCH better.

I've been there 2X since they opened in Aventura. Both times I was disappointed with the food quality. 1st time I ate in the restaurant and some of the food came out cold and had to be sent back. Last night I ordered to go and they messed my order up and I had to drive back from home to get what I ordered. I think you start with hiring people that have some experience in the restaurant business. The food itself is OK but nothing great.

These guys do a good job. Casual Chipotle style restaurant with decent food. I had a chicken taco platter with soft wheat tortilla which was good. Options available for crispy tortilla and even lettuce for tacos which are good options. Salsa bar was a little limited but sufficient. Service was decent. Will definitely return.

I'm not a big fan of Mexican, but I married one so I have to go to every hole in the wall that has tacos. This places is excellent in my opinion. They got me with the tostones! Now is my favorite Mexican. And my hubby loves it! Only down side is the cafeteria style- not a fan of ordering in the counter but it makes for a quick lunch!

My family and I thought we'd try out our Groupon tonight at Fiesta Wok and let me say this. On arrival, I didn't think that it would be a good place to eat because the view wasn't really what I expected. But, when we went in, the staff greeted us with a friendly greeting and the server Jose was superb! He was extremely friendly and wanted to be sure to get our orders right. The only thing that we didn't like, besides the decor was the onions my husband received in his no onion order. Everything we ordered was well seasoned and made to order. Love love loved it! We will be sure to visit again ;) We all loved it!!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
