Not a bad place if you like hospital food

I must admit I was beginning to dislike Olive Garden, after visiting there locations in Pembroke Pines and Flagler. I can tell you that it all change after visiting this Aventura location. The restaurant is in a great location near Aventura Mall. We went for lunch today and the experience was totally different. For one we were seated right away which makes it an A plus considering it was Sunday at lunch time. The place is very nicely decorated and clean. I like there family style seating arrangements. I ordered the grilled chicken flatbread with soup and salad and I was very satisfied also there raspberry peach tea is amazing with bits of peach in it. The service was very good and like always prices a very inexpensive for your pockets. So glad I gave them a second chance. Overall: Till I find a better Olive Garden this is my new location.

Is Olive Garden the best Italian food? Probably not. Coming from a girl with an authentic Italian Grandmother and many aunts. So no comparison. However, you can't beat all you can eat salads there. I simply order just the all you can eat salad, and begin my munchathon! Who can't get full on a eating of several million breadsticks and salad. Enough said. Go there!

Anyone who gives this place over one star does not know what Italian food is suppose to taste like. Dog food!

Ok, this is your standard Olive garden. So everyone that hasnt been living under a rock knows what the food tastes like. Im giving this particular location 2 stars, because EVERYTIME i come here its ALWAYS understaffed, and it takes way longer than necessary for dinner. Easily one of the worst olive gardens I've been to in terms of wait time. Slow service is always the norm. This isnt to blame the workers, if anything they need MORE help. Save yourself the 2 hours needed to eat at this 40 min restaurant PS: i dont even go during peak hours (friday, sat, sun dinner).. I always go middle of week 8-9 pm

I used to go to olive garden for dinner most of the time with my husband, but after I had my baby we stared ordering to eat at home, and I already had 2 bad experiences, first one, I call to order and when I got there no one had my food ready, the lost my order, so I had to wait until they prepare my food, the manager came to me and apologize he was really nice and he didn't even charge my food, that second time last Friday august 15 I order a chicken marsala, and when I was back at home ready to eat, I notice that they gave me a chicken alfredo pasta instead, I hared to drive all the way back to get what I really order, the server told me that that it's was his mistake, because it was in a rush that day, buy what got me really upset that the manager didn't even apologize when I was there, I told her that those things can't be happening and she answer me back telling me that the server told her that he went throw the order with me when I went to pick up my food, which is a lie, plus I'm not suppose to check every time I go to pick up my food, and anyways if I noticed when I was there, I also had got to wait for my food, I feel like the manager was like on the server side, and she didn't do anything to solve their mistake, at least I think that she was not suppose to charge the food because I drove all the way back and lost my time, for that mistake, that's why I decided to wrote this review for the first time, this type of managers are the ones that don't care about the costumers, Olive Garden doesn't deserve to have this type of managers who ruin their service !!!

This Italian restaurant would be the best one out there if it wasn't because they have one of the worst services in the restaurant business. Now I understand why there is always tons of people waiting outside the restaurant. Everytime I go there the waiting staff takes a lot of time for everything and looks like they don't have the word FRIENDLY in their vocabulary. We went there for my mom birthday and it was a horrible experience. They forgot about my meal and brought it 45 minutes after everybody else. After we asked for the check, we noticed they charged for everything like everything would had gone perfectly. I got really really mad that night that I raised my voice to the server. We called the manager and put the complaint. I think the maneger didn't even knew about the situation. The food at this place is another story. The flavor of the food is like no other Italian restaurant. They have the most amazing soup in town. The only soup I can repeat and repeat. The Zuppa Tuscana is the the best soup I've tried.

visited this restaurant last night to celebrate my gf's bday and we had a great time! Our waitress was super sweet and helpful. We decided to order the seafood portofino, raviolli portobello and I had the shrimp primavera. All the dishes were delish..but of course we needed a doggie bag because it was way too much. The salad and breadsticks can really fill you up! Our waitress was so nice she gave us some extra breadsticks and salad to take home!. Although the place was relatively busy, we were seated within 10minutes.

Olive Garden sometimes feels like the restaurant you don't want to admit to loving. We've got so many locally owned spots in Miami, that I usually try to stay away from the chain restaurants... but on this weekday evening, my dates' eyes widened when I suggested Olive Garden. Apparently he loves the place - who knew?? Lived on this side of town for years, and this was my first time stopping at this location. The new Olive Garden stand-alone building (vs the old shopping center location) is beautiful. As we were walking in looking through the windows of the restaurant, it felt like we were looking into an Olive Garden commercial. You could see so many happy families of all different walks of life sharing in a meal. Totally cheesy - but loved it. Only complaint was we had a 30 minute wait on a weeknight - apparently the rest of Aventura/NMB loves this place as well. The server was great, very friendly, suggesting all sorts of things. I ordered the crab/seafood ravioli... and the pasta fagioli (sp?) soup. Add the melt-in-your-mouth breadsticks to the mix, and you'll instantly be launched into a carb coma. Glad I saw past the "chain" stigma and checked it out... will definitely be back.

My lunch partner whom I had just picked up at the hospital wanted to go here. I was dubious because I remember when General Mills started this cheap, ripoff Tuscan food chain years ago and I recall recently seeing that their sales have dipped and they are cheating their help because of upcoming Obamacare. The guiding light, a guy named Darden, refers to this chain as "beloved". Bullshit! And it's no way Tuscan. I also know for a fact that the food institute in Tuscany they proudly point to is no such thing. It's an off season hotel where they send some of their management for a vacation. Well, in we went...the help at the greeting desk is friendly, despite their cut in wages and so was the harried waiter. He blasted through his speal rather fast but his service was OK all in all. The big problem was the awful food that he delivered. My God was a mess. My soup was some sort of potato, bacon, sausage conglomeration with the consistency of chick broth. It had some greens floating amongst the tasteless bacon and sausage. Then cam the starters. Calamari with NO flavor, white button mushrooms stupped with ground clams and topped with absolutely flavorless cheese, and hard raviolis filled with beef (Think). Piss poor crap, all three. The salad for two was odd in that the waiter put six California olives, four small slices of tomato, two pepperonis, and two razor thin slices of Bermuda onion on the side with a ramekin of their advertised Ital dressing. None of it had any flavor at all. The final insult was 4 cheese pasta. It tasted of tomato ketchup, sort of, with no hint of cheese even though the server ground away at the fake parm and slopped it on the mess. I couldn't eat it. He said what was wrong? I told him: BAD RECEIPT, BAD INGREDIENTS, AWFUL TASTE and asked him to take it back. Oh dear, now come a manager, who was sweet and concerned and apologetic. She asked if I wanted something else or did I want to take it home. I told her, "no, but thank you for asking." This gang operates the Red Lobster which is higher up the food chain.

Given my history as a NY'er, it's always a little embarrassing to admit my affinity for the Olive Garden. I KNOW it's mass produced food. I KNOW it's not authentic Italian. I KNOW it's a corporate blood sucker. However, no matter how I try, I can't shake those salad & breadstick cravings. :) I was jonesing for something yummy after returning from a biz trip, and Olive Garden came to mind. We headed over, knowing it would be open late. I was shocked at the crowd! Americans and their chain restaurants ... it was like 10pm and there was a wait. Crazy! But we managed to score a table in the bar area. Salad & breadsticks were delicious, as always. I also ordered a seafood alfredo, and ate about two bites of it since I'd already stuffed myself. Service was pleasant and relatively attentive. All in all, this is still a chain, nothing more or less, but a consistent one where I've rarely been disappointed. Embarrassing Olive Garden fact of the day: When I lived in NYC, the Italian food capital of the world (save Italy), I would actually make consistent visits to the OG in Times Square. (hiding my head in shame)

Service is usually hit or miss. If you're in a party of 3 or smaller, usually OK. Party of 4 or more....expect to wait. We were served our entrees and 40 minutes later my boyfriend received his. It then took 30 minutes for them to fix the bill....However, the steak gorgonzola alfredo was really good for Olive Garden standards....

to start off I ordered my food to go from a friends place that is about 2mins up the road! im from Chicago && I love olive garden! so I was excited to enjoy it! when I went to pick it up I was hit on by the take out guy! very rude..if I was interested he would've known but he just kept on trying like a creep finally I received my food went home && almost half of the food was incorrect..charged me for things i didnt recieve..the food was old looking && very bland..just seemed like they noticed it but didnt care to fix it or anytjing! treated our food like it was mcdonalds..I called && complained && they said the next time I ordered they would compensate me about a week later I ordered again && the food was the same..ordered broccoli on my pasta..there was none && I was charged for it..the food was old looking && bland! I'm so disappointed bc I love olive garden but that place is a mess! the kitchen staff && management staff should be ashamed..I will never go back to that olive garden

It's a chain. The food is bland, but passable. The more expensive dishes are a bit better than the standard fare. Try the Seafood Alfredo. Parking lot is tight and crowded.

  • Tyler M.

I have been here several time thinking it may be better, or their new items are better and it just never gets better! While the food is not horrible, the quality and taste just is not that good. The salads NEVER come with more than 2 tomatoes, I always have to ask for more. Also the bread sticks are always just meh, and over salted. NONE of the food is EVER as good as it looks on tv. I think the only reason this place gets the volume it does is its cheap, and they averttise the hell out of it! It cant be for quality food. But then again what do you expect at a major chain resturant?

I haven't been to an olive garden in years and after seeing so many ads for it, I went to try out the new location that was just opened on biscayne. When I first walked in, I was disappointed with the decor. It has a very rustic and generic american style decor. The service was decent, but our waiter was focusing more on being flirtatious instead of actually paying attention to service and food. I went with the intention of having a quick lunch, but the waiter I got stuck with was taking took too long. The food was really not that great. I ordered a chicken alfredo and it was ok. The cappuccino was decent and I wasn't able to try to tiramisu that someone had suggested b/c the 1st, the waiter forgot to bring it, and then he said they had to unfreeze it so I would have to wait. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant. I'll stick with cheesecake factory and grand lux cafe.

Normally busy, and the parking can be a pain in the neck. We decided here because it was finally not that crazy and the PF Chang's had no parking - even the parking nearby were taken. We settled here.. the last time I was here with my family, months ago. This is not the restaurant to be in, if you are on a strict diet or diabetic that is bored with the same entree.. because there aren't many selections without carbs or most of them have creamy sauces (which I don't mind, but isn't what you'd want if, again, you're on a diet).. and even if you settle for one, you have the bread sticks staring at you when you're waiting for your food. I just used them to dip on my little plate with olive oil, some juice out of the lemon slices, salt and pepper. Expect more pastas in here, but I did see some dishes that contained half vegetables and half the meat. The good part, though, is that if you order their unlimited salad while eating the entree. We told them we wanted the dressing on the side, but got the salad with it in it. I think the server didn't see them adding it, so she took it back and brought us another one.. this time without the dressing in it. Olive oil was already here and the balsamic vinegar bottle came in later. My entree was chicken & Gnocchi Veronese, which was, to be honest, tasty, but the alfredo sauce was buttery.. some of you may like it that way or some of you may not. Just saying. I saved the rest of it for the next day. There was a bit of a wait, but the service was acceptable.

I was there a month ago and service and food were great it was late afternoon. I went there last night 2/8/11 and although service was slow, waiter was very pleasant and nice, but when we got out food, for starters the bread was really hard, not what is expected when we get their famous bread sticks, they brought to our table the wrong order, finally when we get our order it was really disappointing. I just think maybe when anyone goes to enjoy their food you need to go before rush hour, but it should not be these way you should be able to enjoy your dinner at anytime.

Passable. The best thing about Olive Garden (and this location is no exception) is that our kids like it so much. Our waitress did a reasonable job, although she hardly smiled. We had a group of 10 and most everyone enjoyed their meal. The breadsticks were hot and salty as usual. My entree was a shrimp and crab tortelli. The sauce was in desperate need of lemon and some pepper or red chile flake. I guess $17.50 for an entree isn't enough to get some fresh chopped herbs for garnish. Kids had the typical pasta and meatballs from the kids menu. The marinara is balanced, which I appreciate as a parent. My 4 year old did want more than one meatball, but it was pretty big, so it was understandable. I don't mind coming to Olive Garden for big family dinners, especially with kiddos and older grandparents. But, it would be great to see them put some more effort into the entrees (seasoning and plating in particular).

I visited Olive Gardens in Aventura the night before Hurricane Isaac brought intense winds and rain to South Florida. After waiting in line for about 30 minutes we were seated (party of five), unfortunately at that very moment a transformer in the area exploded (winds had started to pick up) and the restaurant was left running on back up generators. They were unable to take orders since their system was down. However the manager on duty and our waitress Kim were outstanding. They explained the situation, offered us soup, salad, bread and water on the house :) Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be very understanding of the situation and we were blown away by the excellent service we were provided despite the circumstances. The manager gave us a coupon to be used at our next visit which will hopefully be in the next few days.

A new location of Olive Garden opened up in the my area every time I drove by it seemed busy, an obvious sign this was a place to be. I went there on a Wednesday night, thinking it wouldn't be packed. It was, and that was okay. I was alone and thought to sit my the bar which worked, but service, unfortunately was not great. The bartender was too busy to pay attention to me which was disappointing. For my salad I asked the bartender politely for the dressing on the side, my request ignored. However she didn't hear me, she could have been distracted by other impatient customers sitting and waiting at the bar. At one point, she did recommend something that sounded delicious, so I went for it. I had a pasta dish with beef and didn't think much of it. It was not anything special. And by the end of the meal, I wish I didn't have it at all. My stomach felt upset rather than full and content. I know local authentic places that make me happier and that I know at the end of the meal I've been satisfied. I wish it was different, but it was not.

Good food and good service. The salad and soup is all you can eat. I would prefer romaine lettuce, rather than iceberg in the salad.

Shoulda known better than to take up on the $7.99 deal of unlimited soup, salad & bread sticks - again. The Minestrone was oh so lame! The salad tasted like a Caesar salad - without the Caesar. And the "garlic" breadsticks wouldn't have protected me against The Count from Sesame Street! But what REALLY makes this dining experience truly enjoyable and return-worthy? The unlimited, continuous playing of swingin' old-timey music playing in this joint. One after the other, I was singing along to all the hits of the ring-a-ding-ding era. Now "That's Amore" like it!

There is usually a huge wait here but today we came around 9pm and only waited about 25-30 min. We sat down and it smelled so sour. Yuck! Not sure if it was the rug or the towel they used to wipe down the tables, but it was so damn nasty. We ordered our food, we got our food, we ate it, I told our waiter he looked like Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, and over all had a good experience. Our waiter was very good. I told the manager as we were leaving that he was very attentive and was on top of it all. I got the shrimp mezzaluna. I read like it because it's creamy and buttery and fattening.

I always come for dinner at Olive Garden on Veterans Day. It's nice to see how some establishments honor those who have served this country! Thanks, OLIVE GARDEN!!!!

Enjoyed a slow delivered lunch. The soup and salad was good as usual. The waiter however was slow and couldn't remember changes made to the order or what was ordered Visited the ladies room and it needs a little TLC. The sinks in there rather dirty (white sink with black stains) overall the service left something to be desired.

  • Kristin C.

We were surprised there was a wait, and we waited forever before anyone came to help us once we were seated. I didn't care for our table, and I think it was kind of loud. However, after our server finally showed up, and we got our food, I guess the service was okay. Hey, sometimes, it is just better to go to the chain restaurants. It might be 3 stars but at least it's 3 stars you can count on.

I like the food of Olive Garden. In this location you will need plenty of time, it is always busy so do not go there at lunch time if you have to go back to work.

Surprisingly the food was quite good despite my trepidation, having read digs and snarks about The Olive Garden being subpar quality food. It is what it is, a chain restaurant and so I went here with a gift certificate in my pocket thinking what will be, will be. We waited about 10 minutes for a table for the family and sat down after having a bit of a troll through the place to see what it was like decor wise. Not too shabby. A bar in one room and some different dining areas, some intimate, some family style. Upon being seated our waiter offered us a sample of their house blush. Too sweet for me. Pass and bring beer please. I had the traditional Lasagne, hubby had stuffed chicken marsala but with linguine instead of the mashed potatoes and the Vegetarian had a caprese flatbread with a side of spaghetti topped with marinara sauce. The Kid had chicken fingers and fries. Out came a tossed salad which was just OK (Iceberg lettuce is soooo yucky) and I wasn't overly fond of the italian dressing it came with. Breadsticks were OK too. Warm and soft. My lasagne was good, a very hearty portion (half for lunch next day). The chicken was good too - there was nothing left of that. The french fries that came with the Kids meal were super crispy and hot, but he wasn't impressed by the chicken (kids are sooo fussy). Vegetarian was happy with his offering and ate it all but felt that there was a little too much fresh basil sprinkled on top. For dessert the guys ordered a serving of little donut pillows dusted with sugar and with a chocolate dipping sauce. They were just OK. Nothing to rave about, they came home in a box. Service was pretty quick for 8p.m. on a Tuesday. We were in and out in about an hour and there was no wait between courses. Our server and the busboy were on top of their game and kept an eye on everything that was going on in their station. Parking seems to be a bit of a bother here when its busy.

Olive garden is one of my favorite chains and this one on Biscayne is no different. You can get pretty good italian dishes without having to pay tons of money like most italian places. Definitely not fancy but perfect for a dinner out with the family. Good size portions , unlimited salad/soup and bread stick (very yummy!) YES! I recommend it :)

This is one of the decent places to get take-out near my office. The take-out service is excellent. 15-20 minutes, no matter how busy they are. The food is the normal Olive Garden stuff. The only item worth mentioning is the chicken dumpling soup, not sure if it is new, but today was the first time I tried it and it was shockingly good.

My parent gave me a gift card to Olive Garden. We decided the 2 for $25 deal, which included bread, soup and salad. We had to take most of our entree home, as well as the dessert. The food was good but not fantastic. Our waiter was extremely friendly and made sure to keep the bread and drink refills coming.

Well, let me start with the good points. The beer was cold from the bar. Now the bad points. Service was horrible. The server (Jeff) was friendly, don't get me wrong. But server didn't really attend to our table a whole lot. I ordered a caprese flatbread. It came out burnt. Really! How can you screw up flatbread? Sent it back to the kitchen. Used the restrooms. Well, it was the filthiest restrooms I have ever encountered (other than the restrooms I had to use at Fantasy Fest in Key West). After using the bathroom, I decided NOT to order anything at all. I sat and watched everybody else eat and I grabbed an appetizer from a neighboring bar & grill. I would never step foot in the establishment again. Sadly disappointed

This is by far the busiest location I've visited, but def worth the wait if there is one. The food is tasty and affordable, especially because there's always some type of promotion going on. My waiters have always been awesome and Taja at the front desk makes our dates extra special because she's so sweet. 5 stars!

3.5 stars. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this location. Sure, the wait was a bit long, but the waitress was very personable and fun, and she made us feel welcomed. She was very nice to my daughter, making her feel like an adult and asking her personally what she'd like to order, even though she's only 7. My daughter LOVED that. The food was actually good, and she kept bringing out the salad, unlike the Olive Garden in Southland, which never brought out a second bowl of salad, even though it's called UNLIMITED SALAD for a reason! My daughter got the shrimp Alfredo, and I had a Tuscan chicken entree. Both were creamy and satisfying. I am not sure if they happen to have a better cook, or just the fact we got good service made such a difference, but the food actually tasted good, and the portions were satisfying. The chocolate cake was delicious, and my daughter and I were fighting each other over it, plus she felt like she got the royal treatment even though it didn't cost me more than $40. Not bad at all!

I was here last night and the waitress Adrianne I believe her name was had amazing customer service. I think one of the best dining experiences besides this I always have the cheese ravioli with Alfredo and the chocolate cheese cake....at times the fried calamari, super good!

Buy one, take one for $12.99 while it last. Got the Smoked Mozzarella Chicken which I'm sure was regular Mozzarella cheese. There was not a hint of any smokey flavor whatsoever, it was blahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Ugh whatever.

Not impressed with the service at this place. We were a big party and ended up splitting some entrees. The waiter made it a point to ask how many people were actually eating salad or getting soup as there is only one per entree (something I've always been aware of but never an issue at other locations). The person helping her was definitely more attentive than she was. Food was good as usual but service did take a bit long (place was quite busy during our visit so understandable).

  • Steven B.

I can't say I've had horrible experiences here, but sometimes the service is a little slow. I've unfortunately received cold food once or twice but at least they corrected it and removed it from the bill. The food is usually pretty good and I have quite a few favorite dishes they make. Although I wouldn't consider it "Italian" food, it's the closest commercial Italian food you will get. I wouldn't come here if you wanted true Italian food but none the less they are still pretty decent.

Worst experience ever... Food was salty , expensive I spent 87 for my whole family and I didn't even enjoy my meal... My leftovers !!!! I'm not eating my leftovers!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER... I will NEVER come back to Olive Garden ... #PERIOD...

This is my go to Olive Garden. There's usually a wait for dinner but that's expected pretty much at any chain restaurant here in Miami. The food is always good and I always love the promotions. My favorite, the chicken soup, can be a hit or miss sometimes, but that usually because they try to rush the soup sometimes, and it comes out watery, but by the time you send it back you'll get that same batch just thicker and the favors are just mmm mmm good. I can literally just be fine with just the warm breadsticks and the soup. The service is great and the staff is always nice. The promotional menu has always been great with the selections, and the added taste plates for $4-$5 are a great bonus if a little more is needed. Seriously before dining check out the promotions your guaranteed to find something there appetizing and nice on the wallet.

I go here on date night with my boyfriend and have a nice time. I just truly hate not being seated in a booth and also their wait times are usually ridiculous so we only go on weekdays to get a slightly smaller wait time. I love their pastas and the salmon could be better seasoned. I do recommend them though just go during the week if you don't want to wait too long.

I rarely go to Olive Garden, but when I do this is the location I choose. It's clean and the staff is professional. I always ask for Genesis to take care of me. She goes out of her way, checking on me several times throughout my meal. She's quick and always pleasant, it makes my dining experience enjoyable . The staff seem to work really well together. When it's very busy everyone seems to have each other's back and help each other. I highly recommend this location.

I love Olive Garden and their menu is great but this specific restaurant should be renovated and and the cookers trained again, the restaurant stinks, the floor is always dirty with food on it, the courtains are disgusting, they should take the carpets out of the restaurant and it'll be a lot better. About the food, this restaurant is the most greasy Olive Garden that I've ate untill today, the others that I've ate are not like that. Please use less fat and oil.

This is an all around very good Olive Garden restaurant. The servers are very nice and I feel like the food is extra tasty. The parking is not necessarily the best due to the great influx of customers. However, it is worth the wait.

Been here twice in a year and the cost for a meal for two can't be beat with their specials. Each time we ordered an appetizer, soft drinks, two entrees and a dessert for two and I'm always shocked to see my bill around $40 or less. It's also a bonus with their unlimited warm breadsticks and salad! The food is not outstanding but it's satisfying and my experience both visits with the service has been pleasant. There is usually a long line to wait to be seated but last Friday at 7pm we were seated immediately... happy about that.

The food here is a hit or miss. My mom got undercooked risotto today for lunch. We informed our waitress to let her know to tell the chef. Sometimes they change the recipes slightly. For example the chicken marsala was my favorite dish at Olive Garden, but they recently changed the recipe and it doesn't taste as good. We had a good server today, and the last time I went here. I don't usually come here too often because it's always crowded.

My wife's sister gave us a $60 gift certificate to the Olive Garden for Christmas. It was our first time there. It was 3:pm and not busy at all. We started off with a very nice waiter named Justin, who got us started with telling us about the daily specials, etc. After that it was downhill. The silverware had chunks of old dried food stuck on my fork and knife. It was replaced with water spotted silverware. Then the over salty salad and so-called bread sticks (extra salty) came out. Yes, it was "all you can eat" but how much salt can one endure? I ordered a chicken calzone my wife ordered the prosciutto burger. Simple right? Noooo. After a good half hour wait Justin informed us that the "calzone" oven was working slowly and would we like the burger? Yes, we said. He brought it out and it was easy to tell it had been sitting around waiting for my calzone to finish cooking. The burger and fries were cold... and extra salty. Just as I was ready to just cancel my calzone it came to the table. It was like a small empanada looking thing. Filled with salty cat food styled chicken chunks in a upchuck sauce. The dough was raw on the inside. Yuck. My wife took a taste and spit it right out. Our waiter Justin and a manager totally understood. We were not charged for anything. They also gave us a $10 gift card for next time. We are not sure if we will ever use it. We may re-gift the gift certificates to someone we don't like. And yes, we tipped Justin well, because it was not his fault.

This was the first and last time I went to an Olive Garden. I was looking forward to the bread sticks because I hear so many good things about them, but they weren't that great. I really can't say much about them except that they were bland, and had salt on the top which made them too salty. I love me some good bread sticks, so if I couldn't eat more than one of Olive Garden's bread sticks, you know they weren't good. We ordered the choose 3 appetizer sampler for 11.99, which comes out to $4 for each item. We chose the mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, and toasted ravioli. They brought it out late, and it was delivered by a non-waiter guy, so I'm not sure what that was about. We got 3 mozzarella sticks, and they were in triangle shapes, and they were good. The cheese was high quality and ooey and gooey. What I don't understand is why in the world they did not come with marinara sauce. As dipping sauces, we got ketchup and ranch sauce. That is so weird to me. The chicken fingers were really good, but we only got 3 small pieces. Smaller than any chicken fingers you'd get from anywhere else. When you think about it, 3 small pieces of chicken for $4, and 3 mozzarella triangles for $4 is such a rip-off. I was expecting more. We got about 6 toasted ravioli, and those were also really good. The filling was delicious. Then the waiter automatically brought us salad. On the menu I remember reading we got soup OR salad with our entree, but we never had a choice. It would have been nice to have a choice, since my boyfriend doesn't eat salad. The salad, however, was excellent, and very fresh. Then my lasagna came. I was expecting great things. Individually, all the components of the lasagna were delicious. From the pasta to the meat sauce to the cheese. The problem was how half my bites resulted in having mostly ricotta cheese in my mouth. I love cheese, but this was just too much for me. It would have been WAY better if it had more meat sauce and less cheese. I may not be a lasagna expert, but after a few minutes of feeling like I'm eating mouthfuls of cheese, I couldn't take it anymore. My boyfriend had the tour of Italy, and also had lasagna. He agrees about the cheese. There was also a fettuccine alfredo, which was creamy, and okay, but seemed a little bland. He says the chicken parmesan was the best part, but the breading could have been less salty. The desserts were the best part! I got the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, and it was super good. My boyfriend got the tiramisu. Neither of us have had one before, but that was also delicious. It was really cold, and tasted a lot like an ice cream cake. Service was about average. Our waiter seemed nice.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the waiter was very nice and his attention was off the charts. As for the food it was nothing by bad after bad. I order the the tour of Italy and the plate presentation looked horrible. As for the food we had to send it back twice until the own manager had to come to our table to apologize and re-make it. What a disaster!

I've been going to olive garden for years but my last visit was so horrible I couldnt believe how one waitress and one manager can just change you whole outlook of this restaurant. This waitress was HORRIBALY RUDE. And manger did absolutely nothing to make it better. Thid waitress actually was not only rude but a complete liar. She said she would have our food cooked and then put to go..but instead she stuck a cold meal to go in the microwave and put it in a bag for us.

This OG always has a wait to be seated. To my surprise we were seated in 5 minutes. Waitress greeted us for a drink order within seconds of being seated. That was a first for this OG. We had the soup and salad lunch. The server was really on top of things. Constantly kept drinks full. Always asked if we wanted more soup or salad and bread sticks. We cod not want for more and left stuffed.

I totally loved it! Our waitress Taja was super nice and friendly also was here taking care of us all the time even though the restaurant was busy. They had a great deal 2 for $25 and everything was delicious. We couldn't believe it an unlimited soup or salad and then an entree and a desert for the two of us. Also the food was delicious and we left completely stuffed. I am deffinetly comming back! Loved it!

Had the BEST experience at this Olive Garden. I am not usually an Olive Garden fan so this was a pleasant surprise. The service at this location was perfect -- to the point where it was almost eerie. Had the manager check on our table a few times, waiter asking us if everything is good, our glasses were always filled with drinks. Food was absolutely delicious and came out in a timely manner. Will be coming back to this location and this one alone.

I hadn't been to Olive Garden in years but it was my mom's special request. We arrived at 5:30 on a Friday evening and were promptly seated. It was not particularly busy as there were other empty booths. It was all downhill from there... 5:45 server finally greeted us and we gave her our entire order including appetizers and entrees 5:50 our drinks arrived 6:05 salad arrived...my nephew ordered Caesar salad and was told there was no Caesar dressing - we requested bread - none immediately ready 6:10 bread arrived 6:20 entrees served - when we inquired about the appetizers we were told that they were probably still in the window 6:25 first appetizer arrived 6:27 remainder of appetizers arrived....in all my years eating out this was a first for me!! I then asked for boxes as the mood was ruined and I was ready to go! Also note that the table was never cleared of salad plates and refills were never offered for salad or drinks. At this point I was disgusted and asked to speak with the manager. I explained the situation and showed him the timeline which I had noted on my cell phone. He was polite and apologetic. As a result he comped the appetizers. If there was proper communication from our server things could have gone so much better but all she did was scurry about and blame others. The only reason I will even give two stars is the fact that my family actually enjoyed the food. I will not be back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
