I still believe this restaurant would benefit from a drink special at least once a week but the food continues to impress me. At "Date Night" they offered a trio of burgers and beer tastes; amazing. LOVE IT. Hope they offer it as a regular item! I would buy it every time I visit. The service is super friendly and quick, very small town appropriate. I do like their $2 beer, the house "Fire" lager. They insist it isn't a special, just their price. All in all, I love this new place!

This place used to be a gem in Auburndale; Since Jesse took over its just gone down hill. I ordered takeout last night on two of their 10oz sirloin steaks and I was so excited knowing this is one of their signature items and their steak salad is divine. However I was terribly dissatisfied. Completely flavorless. It was topped with fresh parsley which I guess could account for a lemony-grass clipping type flavor. There was just no seasoning at all. (Maybe the grill guy forgot to top both of our steaks on a Friday night?) I prefer takeout since the servers there never smile, nor are there any drink specials. The place needs an overhaul in the management sector. Something just isn't right.

Awful! Choice ribeye steak chargrilled to toughness with steamed broccoli was , wait for it, $37.00!! I could have gotten a better meal at Ryan's steak house! The appetizers were forgotten then severed with the meal, and was a small portion for 8 bucks. 1 kids meal + 1 hamburger + 1 gross steak = $85.00! I'm so disappointed, I really wanted to enjoy our small town restaurant, but NEVER AGAIN.

One of the best restaurants that I've been to in a long time. Staff was friendly, and the atmosphere is great for just about any occasion. At first glance, I thought the food was a bit over-priced until I tried it. The quality of the food is great and well worth the money. I will definitely be back in.

Awesome place. Flatbread today was Hawaiian. Ham, mango, peppers. Very tasty. Fried mushrooms a blend of portabella and button. Delicious with some of their home made dill ranch dressing. Blue cheese dressing on the cobb salad quite bland. Other than that everything perfect. Service great, thank you Jessica! Fresh bread rolls with cinnamon butter yummy. We will return.

Went for lunch after church last Sunday. GF ordered Asian salad. When it was presented, it was missing two items mentioned on their description that made it an Asian salad. When brought to our server's attention, she seemed defensive right away. She did go back to the kitchen to see what was going on. While she was away, I asked another server who the manager-on-duty was - he indicated that he was. When the issue was described to him, he was totally lost about what to do. Made some lame excuse about being overwhelmed with a surge after church. They were less than 50% full & I called that out right away. Then the waitress came back she said they were out of Mandarin oranges and they would have to cook the tiny tortilla strips that go in the salad - really??? A few seconds later, someone brought out tiny containers of both missing items. They did remove the item from our bill but really butchered the customer service. This was our second visit to this restaurant and def our last. Too many better options within another 15 minute drive.

Come here 4 years in a row for baseball in March. Always stop at Fire for ice cold beer, great food, atmosphere, great staff. A real gem! A very surprising find in a small town where there's nothing like this around. Indoor & outdoor seating.

The food here is really good and the service is always friendly. They seem a bit slow on Saturday but I'm sure it's because the sports bar that is very close is soaking up the cheap beer crowd. The burgers are great and the fries are good as well. It's a little off the beaten path but worth taking an extra turn or two.

Went because a friend suggested it as he had been there previously and liked it. We ordered wings and onion rings as appetizers. Wings were good but not great. Onion rings were extremely greasy ( I assume from being cooked in old oil). I was told by the server that they were homemade but they looked like they were from a distributor. I ordered a bacon burger and my friend ordered the chicken sandwich special. The burger was ok, not great, nothing special and not a good value. It was accompanied with greasy french fries that were probably cooked in the same old oil as were the onion rings. My friend didn't say much about the chicken sandwich but did mention that the food was much better on his previous visit. The order taker was quite mechanical in her delivery but very efficient. So efficient that she gave us our bill before we were finished eating and before I requested it. I guess nobody else has coffee and dessert in Auburndale! The total bill was about $38 including two sodas and a beer. I'm sure that the owners are happy that they could've made an extra $10 or more from our table if we had been asked if we wanted dessert after our meal. But I guess the server had to be somewhere else.

Wow! A hidden Gem in downtown Auburndale. I ordered the 9ounce steak, Mac n cheese and baked potato. Everything was delicious but I literally licked the bowl of Mac n cheese clean. Seriously want that recipe!! My girlfriend ordered chicken Marsala and gave me a bite and it melted in my mouth. So good!! We also ordered 2 shots ( blueberry lemon drop and bananas foster ) which were perfect. Highly recommend, I have no idea why this place isn't packed every night.

The service is just not up to par? Did a manager leave? Is there a manager? We have gone on Sunday the past two weekends, it's the only great place in Auburndale. They brought my daughters salad w her meal? You pay for bread rolls now, and I order sweet potato fries no onion on my burger and I got fries & onions! How hard is that? You ask for dressing on the side , they load it w dressing? Some people have dietary restrictions, allergies ect; it's important to listen! We keep giving them a chance, the newest waitress corrects the older waitress mistakes? I felt like tipping her instead of our table waitress! If there is a manager in that place I'd love to speak w them~

Normally pretty good service but our last visit was very disappointing. We felt ignored and ended up leaving after 15 minutes. No server came to the table and spoke to us and they were not particularly busy.

My family and I have visited Jessie's several times. The food is pretty good , most of the time, but the service leaves a lot to be desired, long wait to order, just over all the servers are not attentive. The wait staff needs an overhaul !!!!!!!

Fire has been redubbed "Jesse's on Fire" with new ownership. Many of the menu items are still the same. There steak salad has bumped from $8 to $13, too expensive for a salad so we passed. They brought fresh rolls and cinnamon butter out while we waited. Very nice. No noisy music. Yay. I ordered the "Old Faithful" 1/3 pound burger and my company ordered the spicy jalapeno burger. They came out separately because they made the wrong sandwich for one of us and had to re-do. The one ordered rare was more medium rare and the one ordered medium rare came out as medium well. Neither had any meat flavor though the cheese and toppings were good. The bun was refrigerator cold and should've been warmed. It also was so much smaller than the bun that I left 1/3 of the bun. Fries were soggy but good. Coleslaw was finely diced to a mulch like the chopper went crazy, but tasty. ( prefer a little chew with my cole slaw not "mashed potatoes thin".) The old burger price was $8.40, now it's $9.40 or $10 depending on whether you add bacon. The dill pickle was stellar. The place seems to have an identity crisis, whether it's gourmet or bar food. If it's gourmet, it's falling short in the flavor department. If it's bar food, it's priced waaay too high. I wished for either "half salad" or sandwich with no sides to drive the price and portions down. Sunday church crowd started filtering in about 12:40 pm. The waitress was decent until it was time for the check. That took quite a wait. While we would be willing to come back, costs will keep it from being a regular stop.
