Summary: Sllooooow delivery, late the two times we've ordered. I only get general tso and always ask for very hot. It hasn't even been kind of spicy either time. The size of the chunks of chicken are smaller than normal, which I appreciate. The last time we ordered we had to call twice and the food was cool on late arrival. The only reason we ordered from this place is that they deliver. Henceforth we will pickup 168 which is always amazing, though a bit more expensive.

This place is bad and has lost my business. My wife and I got combination dinners tonight and both meals were as bland and tasteless as can be. Seriously no spices, sauces, nothing on beef and broccoli and shrimp cashew. It's the closest Chinese place and prices are okay but seriously good Chinese food has excellent taste and spices. Imagine the food without it and then go to some other place for Chinese.

Great food for the price. Best Chinese take-out in the area. Wouldn't ever want to order deliver, food will dry out by time I gets to the door. Lots of options and great deals for the amount of food.

Just moved and got delivery. Food was really good. Combo Appetizer was great! A little bit of everything. General Tso's Chicken was our entree(enough for 2) and it was flavorful and arrived hot and fresh. Would have given all 5 stars but I was told 45 minutes and it took about an hour and 15 to arrive. Glad to have a good Chinese delivery in the area!

The food was pretty good and I liked the sesame chicken. The fried rice was good but didn't have the Brussel sprouts like I'm used too.

I order a to go order tonight from May Mei Garden, it was with out a doubt one of the worst meals we have ever had. The rice and soup tasted like soapy dish water was used to make it, the egg rolls were mushy and tasted days old they were definitely not freshly made. My husband had a meal w shrimp in it the shrimp were tough and chewy and tasted like they were frozen and old. I order bourbon chicken, with out a doubt the chicken had already started going bad. There is no mistaking bad meat when you put it in your mouth. We have order from here several times in the past and it was always good. I don't know if someone new is cooking there or what but wow beware

This was recommended by a friend and we found the prices were reasonable. The flavor was good and the food was cooked very tender. The delivery was late by 10-15 minutes but the delivery guy was friendly. The worst part was that they use cheap Styrofoam containers. Also the main meals have extremely watery sauces; which left us a bag full of sticky juice but also the rice boxes, soup containers and the cookies/sauce packets where drenched with the solution Over all we will try them again but I was displeased with the mess delivered to us.

This is the second Chinese restaurant I visited after moving here from Queens. My friends had brought me to No. 1 Chinese and they said it was really good. I went there and it was average to me. May Mei is head and shoulders above No. 1. The sliced pork is... a mouthgasm. It's excellent. Really chicken and broccoli. Not exactly what I'm used to back home but very good. General Tso's and Orange Chicken also very good. Fried rice is very good and their lo mein has flat noodles which I enjoy LOL. The dumplings were very unsatisfying though. Not their strong point. Solid restaurant though.

Good take out Chinese isn't very easy to find in Longwood, FL...and this is a good example. Pros - affordable ($15 for 2 entress and egg rolls) , large portion size and tasty eggs rolls. Cons - delivery was about 15 late, rice was dry and beef low mein was not good at all. Meat was overdone and the sauce was unlike any low mein I have ever had. That's not a good thing. If I was desperate for Chinese take out, I might try this place again, but would order something else.

I've had carryout from May Mei Garden a handful of times and I've never been disappointed. The white and vegetable fried rice are very good and the General Tso Chicken is some of my favorite anywhere.

"Absolute Best" I've been to my share of Chinese Restaurants in my 50 yrs. Didn't really notice a difference. Until we came here. You'll never go anywhere else after eating here.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
