I haven't been here in quite awhile. I'm giving Froggers three stars; because they're your average place you go for wings. There used to be one closer to my home; it closed though. We are usually greeted as we walk in and seated promptly. The servers are always friendly and give good service. Coral was our server and for being new, she did a good job. Thanks Coral! The food is ok, we usually start out with an appetizer of fried pickles. The serving was much smaller than what we used to get. I mentioned it to our server and she got more. I usually get lemon pepper wings and for some reason they never seem to taste like lemon pepper. I've had lemon pepper wings before and they've never looked or tasted like that to me. Maybe I should try something different if I go back. Overall, it was an ok experience. I gave three stars because of the food. It didn't wow me and make me want to run out and tell all my friends.

Pros: wings, taste, service, prices, environment good for adults and families. Cons: dated. Won't let you go 1/2 on sauces, had to make separate purchases to get 2 different tasting wings, cost more to do that.

Haven't been to one in a while. But I love their wings. Nothing wrong with the place or service. Just your average grill & bar. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend or someone looking for some wings to dine in to.

I had been here a few times before because I have friends and family in Apopka and lived here several years ago. I knew it was just a standard neighborhood sports bar, but it was just after 10 pm on a weeknight, I was visiting town with my family, and we needed some place to eat nearby (and Beef O'Brady's was closed LOL). We walked in and seated ourselves. They were playing loud hip hop music. The place is big with lots of TVs. They have nightly specials and also happy hour from 4-7 pm and 10 - close daily. Because of that, I got a pint of Yuengling for only $2.50. Yuengling is the best beer they have, by the way. They only have domestic beers and bad imports like Corona, etc. No craft beer. The nightly special was 2-for-1 baskets and they also have $3 appetizers with happy hour. I got the fried shrimp and chicken basket with tater tots and the wife got the boneless chicken wing basket with fries. Both baskets were around $8 and one was free because of the special. Daughter got a chicken quesadilla appetizer and caesar salad. Service was nice when they came to the table, but each time we had to flag them down to get something, especially when paying the bill. I had to walk it over to the bar. The food was cheap, but sub-standard. The fried chicken, shrimp and tots came out hard fried and the batter was dark brown. The cook came out right after and asked us if the food was OK, because he was aware that the batter looked dark and that it was just because of the color of the frying oil. I told him it was OK, but let's be honest here, if the oil is that color because you obviously used it all damn day, shouldn't you change it and use some fresh oil? Ridiculous. The fried chicken nuggets, wings, and shrimp had little flavor and were mediocre. The salad and quesadilla were so-so. The only saving grace was that we didn't overpay for such terrible food. The meal for 3 including drinks and my beer came to $21. I will not return here again unless I am tagging along with friends, and for beers only.

Love coming to this local sports bar! The food is usually great.. We always sit up at the bar and enjoy that the bartenders remember us. Prices have gone up a bit (hello economy changes!!) but the weekly specials will continue to have us coming in. Friendly place!!!

I usually skip over reviews like mine but please take the time to read this before you go...I usually come on here only to praise places but this is an important warning... I just left from here on my lunch break and already feel sick. Whatever any of you do, DO NOT EAT AT FROGGERS in APOPKA!!!!!! The service was the worst, the food took over 30 minutes and all we had was 2 chicken phillys a reg philly and a salad. The food was terrible- by terrible I mean bland, and just slimy tasting for chicken; also, it was a philly with peppers onions and mushrooms per the menu and you were lucky to spot a tiny diced size cube of pepper in it while the onions were overloaded and very few mushrooms, the salad my friend/co-worker had was freezer burned to the point the lettuce was translucent!... just overall avoid this place!

okay so we went to on their Monday 40cent wing night before we even pulled into the parking lot we could hear the music coming from this place - we found a decent parking place and went in (passing about 30-40 folks hanging out in front) we went in and found two seats at the bar - not easy as it was so crowded - also while dodging kids running about with the music and game announcing going on at the same time with the occasional bro/dude shout it was a VERY loud chaotic area the things we do for inexpensive wings so we ordered a couple of style of wings and waited - and waited about 1/2 hour later we got them. they were not very memorable -

Not bad. Had a burger and fries and a beer. Burger was good and the fries were good(but not many of them on the plate-kinda cheap) Servers were friendly and attentive. Typical bar/burger place.

Visited this place for the first time today. Boss was buying, I'm there! First impression, this place is dead at lunch time this can't be good. But it was clean and they had a good menu selection. Something for everyone. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. I'm very picky about my Cheesesteak. They made it with American cheese and didn't ruin it with a lot of onions and peppers. There were a few for flavor but not over powering. It was darn good! This looks like it would be a great place to watch your favorite sports team too since there is a TV everywhere you look! It's a little out of my way, but i would head there again for lunch.

I had a restruant.com pay $10 worth $25 that was ok but you had to purchase a minimum of $50 in food. With only 2 of us we had to order a lot of food so we had lunch and dinner. I must say our server was excellent so friendly and super efficient but the food was even better. We had some appetizers tried the fried pickles for the first time they were really tasty I will get them again, the loaded tatter tots; both were huge 4 of us could have shared them. I ordered the Chicken wings crispy but they were not done enough for my taste, but still tasty. The chicken finger basket with fries was ok but the best was the Turkey & bacon sandwich. I would defiantly go back for the food. We had an early lunch around 11:15 so it was pretty dead in there but I can see must be really busy come dinnertime. It was nice sports bar atmosphere.

This place is just okay. I've never had any food there that I liked other than chicken wings, but they are very good. Since there are not many places to go in Apopka to have a drink, this place gets pretty busy. The service is pretty bad, unless you mount up at the bar. If you are going for drinks, try this place...if you are looking for a good meal, I'd skip it.

I love the sports bar atmosphere and the wait staff are friendly, but the food needs revamping. I had the chicken finger basket and it was skimpy for the price, not seasoned or tasted very good. Fries were barely warm, it was a small serving, too and the wings are small. The blue cheese dressing is something foreign, they claim it's home made, home made creamy surprise I think. Don't go there hungry or you'll leave hungry!

Food is decent and staff seems friendly. However, the 2nd time I went the silverware that, was given to us was very dirty with previous food. How can you not see that when putting them in a napkin. I went there the other day and ordered artichoke dip. The big white bowl that it came in was dirty from previous food as well. Very gross

Pretty awful experience place is dirty food is mediocre not even to the level of good bar food. Fries were overcooked in dirty oil tasted awful burger was acceptable nothing to rave about. The wings are okay say average, nothing stupendous about it. Staff is scantily clad teenager who rather be elsewhere service wasn't great.

Great environment , fair food. My son ordered wings which were so dry and thin on meat it was like they sat in the oven for 3 days on the "keep warm" setting. My grilled fish was fine for bar food although the steamed veg was way over done and rubbery. If you want a beer and a tv- can't beat it, if you want decent food go elsewhere.

Stopped by for dinner and found a BINGO hall. We left and went to a real restaurant. This place offs so poorly run, I wish some one would fix it. Apopka needs more restaurants.

They have Great wings. Lemon pepper grilled are awesome. Appetizers are great as well

This place is run like they care less about you the food is prob ok if your drunk. Don't come if you expect service and food quality above a baseball concession stand. If you wanna drink and don't mind the tavern meat Market dive bar feel you will like it more each sip. Otherwise don't waste your life here move on.

The food was very good - the service was just okay.... We had the Philly cheesesteak and I ate every bite... It was a rough night for personal reasons but the drinks and shots were strong and on point....

Good wings and decent burgers. Definitely a family-friendly restaurant for local Apopka families. I'm fairly certain the first time we visited last summer, e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e stared at us.... "Who are they?" We could feel the eyes on us. Our server was less than attentive. After six months in the community and several visits later, people no longer stare and servers are more attentive. Guess we had to earn our stripes. Kids run freely in this establishment. Parents and older siblings keep half an eye. Waitresses keep the other half an eye. Loud, boisterous, and 'basic' food. Lots of fried items. It works in a pinch, but definitely not a foodie's dream!

45 minutes and our food still hadn't arrived. Our waitress came to our table to tell us that she's not sure why, but the kitchen is really slow tonight. Translation: I have no idea when your food will be ready. Really???? After 45 minutes of waiting, you still don't know when our food will be ready? Not acceptable! The sad part is that this isn't the first time this has happened. We keep hoping things will get better because the wings are really good, but I'm done giving this place chances to improve.

Food is mediocre. Service can be slow at times but staff has always been accommodating. The plus side is there is a food special every night!

On a typical day, Froggers may seem like your average, run-of-the-mill sports bar - TVs trained to ESPN on every wall, pitchers of beer, wings, the whole nine yards. But come Saturday Night it's a place for the best of the best to test their knowledge of history, geography, pop culture, and current events! Each Saturday night, Rick Peterson leads the battle of the brains as teams go head to head to guess the answers to little know trivia questions. The winning team gets a $50 Froggers gift card that can be used on the next visit. Losing teams get to hang their heads as they secretly "swear vengence" for next week. Win or lose it's a grand time for all! As a bonus, each month the teams that have shown up every saturday are entered in a drawing for a $100 Froggers gift card! But beware! There are two very important rules that you must abide by. 1) No cell phones during trivia rounds. If you need to take a call, you MUST go outside, otherwise your team will be disqualified! Not to worry, though. There is plenty of time between rounds to catch up with the outside world. 2) DON'T call out the answers under ANY circumstances! Each team is provided with an answer sheet to write on and turn in. Rick does not take kindly to his answers being given away. You have been warned! ;)

Froggers use to be my favorite place for wings based largely on proper cooking of the wings and the absolute best Blue Cheese sauce. Sadly they have lost the touch or cheapened the ingredients in the Blue Cheese! The wings themselves are still good. The Service was really bad. I counted 13 people total in the restaurant, yet I sat at the Bar for 5 minutes before I could order a Beer. The wings took 20 minutes and I saw no other food being served in that time. Never got a refill on my beer either. This place has gone downhill.

I had not been to Froggers in years and probably won't go back again. Service was fine (although it wasn't very crowded). They couldn't play a specific MLB game because they don't subscribe to MLB Extra Innings on their satellite service...?! My husband had wings which were very dry. I had the grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich which was dry and, other than very fishy tasting, had no taste. I had to smother it in ketchup just to make it edible. Wish I had checked out their other ratings before going.

Never again. I waited almost six months and went back, hoping that they'd be running a decent operation again. My wife and I stopped by on Friday night at dinner time and were seated immediately. We put a simple order in: two waters, 15 hot wings, and a French Dip sandwich with fries. Nothing hard. It's an order for wings at a wing house and a roast beef sandwich, basically. 45 minutes after we ordered, starving hungry and with nothing brought to munch on, we finally saw our server again. She was going table to table to apologize for how slow the kitchen staff were. Very few orders were going out to the floor. She had no idea how much longer it would be until she would get orders filled from the kitchen, but it wasn't looking like it was anytime soon. We let her know that we'd be canceling our order and leaving. 15 minutes later, I had driven to the far side of town to go to the Chili's at Errol Estates area. The Chili's was packed, but we still got good service. We were served a basket of chips immediately, and placed our order for a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and a Margarita Grilled Chicken. 15 minutes later, we were eating freshly cooked food. 15 minutes later, we had paid and were on our way to our weekend date. Why do I mention the Chili's experience? Because in 45 minutes, I could drive across town, order, eat, pay, and leave at Chili's. In 45 minutes at Froggers, I couldn't even get an update on a simple order. Translation: a restaurant in the Apopka area can do it, just not Froggers; not with their management. Froggers has good wings, and they have some other nice menu items as well. They will never, NEVER get a chance at my business again. The bulk of their workers are inept, and their management team appears to be incompetent for how long this has gone on. They need to go out of business, sooner rather than later. If they were replaced by a restaurant with rude, horrible service, it would still be an improvement.

Frogger's is a typical sports bar/family restaurant. On any given day you'll find a consistent menu with a focus on their wing selection. I'll be the first to tell you that this place is really only worth attending on Mondays as they have a $0.40 wing special all day long! The wings are good and the service is respectable. Some nights we will wait for a very lengthy period of time to receive our orders and other's it'll take only minutes. The waittress staff are very hit or miss at times. Sometimes the service will be top notch other's not so much. Hostesses are great and seat in a timely fashion or will give you updates on ETA. Honestly the most consistent service is at the side of the bar. If you're hopping in for a quick bite and are able to sit in that section I'd highly recommend it. Drink specials are ok and is typical of the kind of establishment this place is. If you're in the area on a Monday night and crave some wings give this place a go. Highly recommend the Black, gold, garlic parmesian flavor. Very tastey!

Horrible. Don't try to come for lunch, you'll be left behind only to watch your server eat their lunch. The food is similar to mcdonalds, but they have a special for lunch so we thought to try it. It was disgusting but witnessing my server eating and drinking was annoying. She seemed to have a better meal than I did.

Frogger's is your typical bar food establishment with mediocre food. It seems they have tried to model their servers after Hooters in attire. This being Apopka you can guess how that turns out! The servers are hit or miss but overall they seemed to be undertrained and disorganized. There is a lot of behind the scene joking and chatting amongst the workers while food sits waiting to get to its table. The menu is large and varied and the food edible but really nothing great. I've eaten there several times and haven't had any real stand out meals. In fact, we much prefer Beef O' Brady's across the street.

Well.. Froggers is just okay. The food usually is pretty good. The service... well.. not so good. I typically get the wings which are always good here. Happy hour specials are very good and they send email specials out too if you get on their email list. The service... well... you just kind of expect the service to be bad here. Its one of those places were you expect going into it to get bad service, not that it is an excuse. I believe happy hour is from 5-7 and the wings are 50 cents a piece for wings, which is why I put up with the bad service.

Had a great time on a bike ride - $15.99 wings and beer special

  • Jessica H.

This is an ok place for a beer or some wings. The service is absolutely terrible. A group of friends and I go there after work towards the end of the week, and many times we are the ONLY patrons in the establishment, and the service still sucks. The employees will sit around and gossip while your food sits underneath the heat lamps. Prices are cheap though- and they have decent happy hour specials.
