Given the limited amount of fast food restaurants that are within walking distance of the downtown Wilmington area, this is a great lunch spot. Although there's always a line around lunch time, the staff work pretty fast and I've never been in line for more than 3-5 minutes, which is more than I can say about other places in the area. The portions are large, so no need to worry about going hungry. I usually get the Craft 2 meal or their grilled steak burrito. The burrito is huge... probably 2 lbs worth, and I usually finish the entire thing. No shame.

If you have the need to be treated like shit, visit Qdoba on North Market. It is unreal for horrible customer service. AND...if you're lucky, a bum or two will walk off the street and bother you while you are eating in search of "change". I would rather die of starvation then walk into this place ever again. Never ever again.

Total rip off. The okay-tasting burritos are filled with rice and hardly any meat. The best food there is their queso and chips which is pretty delicious. They increased their prices a few month ago (as if it weren't expensive already) and now it costs well over $25 for two people to enjoy lunch. For lunch on Market St, definitely goto Urban Cafe!

Horrible. Stay away, unless you like paying for cold, tasteless food served by slow disinterested workers.

I go there all the time...with the rewards card every 11th meal is free...relatively healthy alternative to the cheesesteaks, pizza Chinese food and other stuff available...good value for the money large servings ....there is always a line because its a good place.....so sometimes you might be there a while before you get served....

Probably won't make a difference but their pricing is super grimy.and they nickel.and dime everything. They change rules or don't.communicate how different options impact your meal. I wish they would close down but not likely

The food is edible but overpriced and low quality. I got a chicken burrito and soda - the total bill was over $8.00. On the good side they have a lot of free things you can put into it but the greasy and fatty chicken just killed it for me. The soda was fine and the ice was cold though.

This Qdoba is in downtown Wilmington, across from the Grand Opera House. It's not a convenient location for me but for anyone who works in downtown Wilmington, it's probably a decent option for lunch. For anyone else coming into Wilmington on a weekday, note that street parking is free after 6pm and this Qdoba is open until 7pm, so you do have a one-hour free-parking window to eat here. I'm not as fond of Qdoba food as I used to be since I discovered better restaurants elsewhere. The nachos, for example, are pretty plain with not much by way of fixings. Service, well, they were chatting with each other for a while before one of them bothered to take my order. Maybe that's the way things are in the 6pm to 7pm window.

The customer service is horrible. I was the only person standing in line and was ignored even after I made my presence known. I find the cursing and chismo ( Gossip) by the workers at Qdoba to be unprofessional . Seriously, I heard the word chingado which means the word "shit" multiply times. I don't care what language someone speaks just be professional and remember people are always listening and the people you do not expect to be Latino or to understand Spanish might be standing in front of you.

I tried this place for the first time tonight. There weren't many people there; but there weren't many people on Market Street. I ordered 3 pork soft tacos with medium level heat and it wasn't bad. The place was clean and the people who worked there spoke Spanish. I mean it wasn't awful but it wasn't real Mexican.

Good spot for lunch downtown if you don't have a lot of time. The queso is excellent. I usually get the mexican gumbo...I used to get the chicken, but the last time it was kind of fatty (seems like the skin was on there), so I'm going with the vegetarian at this point. They have good deals after 2pm and they also have a qdoba card which will net you a free meal after about 5 purchases. I believe this spot is owned by 2 sisters, and one of them is usually in there, which helps the product/quality. It's always clean and all of the staff are friendly.

The food is ok, but the manager has deplorable customer service skills. Don't ask for any substitutions, you'll get hammered at the register without being told of the upcharges. They better pray that no one plans to open up a Chipotle nearby!

The young lady who always operates the register (I guess the manager or owner) is barely polite to customers & downright rude towards the employees (all Latino women). Every time I go into this Qdoba I swear I'll never go back. Like the cashier/manager seriously reamed a woman out for putting "too much chicken" on a burrito. A few seconds later I was told the charge for extra dressing on my salad was like .85 or $1, or something absurd like that. And the girl on the register watched like a hawk (arms folded, scowling) to make sure the lady didn't "sneak" me any extra dressing after I politely said "no thank you" for the up charge. They charge extra for everything & don't honor any coupons. And the food isn't that great. Moe's & Chipotle sh*t on Qdoba, and feature much better customer service. But unfortunately, there aren't any similar fast food competitors Downtown. $5 entrees after 2nd usually...

Should have known better. I was curious to check this place and finally took the plunge. Ew. Typical chain experience and mentality. Not good at all. I tried a burrito. Quantity doesn't equal quality. What they served was nearly twice the size of a stuffed California style burrito. Just WAY too much food, probably four servings' worth. Not even the most skilled burrito fan could hope to eat such a mess. The tortilla was doughy and near-gooey in texture. I gave up about 1/8 the way through the meal. Just throwing a ton of stuff into a burrito wrapper does not make a good burrito. I learned my lesson.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
