This was my first time eating here. There was a 40 minute wait so we chose to sit in the bar area. The decor is modern chic. The portions are perfect, and they have a good selection of beer. I tried the tripled golden monkey...absolutely wonderful. The next time I go I will make reservations so I can be seated in the dinning area. This location is at the concord mall on 202 in North Wilmington so it is pretty busy and busier now during the holiday.season.

The bang bang shrimp is amazing I wish I could just get that as an entree. I ordered the lobster roll and it was not good. All I could taste was cucumber. My food came out 5 minutes after the rest of my families'. If I come back it will only be for an appetizer and dessert.

It was our first time there and we truly enjoyed ourselves the food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable... The atmosphere was nice and quiet and clean.. I plan to go back and take my husband on a date night.

It was a very bright day and a very dark and cold restaurant. I suggest bringing a sweater in the summer if you are easily chilled. Since it was just before five there were people sparsely littered around the bar and the dining area. The hostess brought me to a booth table directly facing the tv airing something on the Food Network at the bar, a plus. Now the tables all have this thick plastic tablecloth over them and a large brown sheet that reminds me of seafood bakes and kids drawing on them. Cool easy clean up for the crew. But then, I realized that smell of old sticky soda and food was because the plastic doesn't get wiped down particularly on the sides... The decor is modern and spacious but that one fly that kept buzzing around the area was not great company. Anyways, Bonefish was doing a $10 off promotion so I treated myself to a sirloin and crab cake dinner originally $20.50, now $10.50! The waitress was nice and attentive, she even asked if I wanted lemon in my water. The complimentary bread and oil/pesto was very nice, I ate every bite and requested more. The portions were perfect but I wish they had been more generous with the seasonal vegetable, only like 8 sticks of zucchini. I had the sirloin cooked medium rare and it came out tender, juicy, and just the way I like it. The crab cake was good, though I'm no connoisseur of them. Even on a Monday the restaurant got pretty packed so it's good to now their food should be pretty fresh.

Although Bonefish Grill is a chain restaurant, from the outside, it always looked like a place that was too rich for my blood so I never tried it before. I finally made a visit to the Concord Mall location this afternoon for lunch. Well, I must say the ambiance is comfortable and relaxing, with earth-toned modern decor. There is a choice of both indoor and outdoor seating, although in the summer, I'd much prefer indoors for the air-conditioning. Service was okay too, although the server did forget to bring out the silverware. I am not sure if there was supposed to be a mat at lunchtime. The only tablecloth here was a sheet of paper. The food, although tasty and nicely-presented, was overpriced for the portion size that I got. I think that's really the only downside. One would expect a tad more value from a chain restaurant.

This was my first time at a Bonefish Grill and I will definitely be back! The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. We ordered several appetizers including bang bang shrimp, mussels, and lobster flatbread. All were delicious, particularly the mussels josephine (they bring you extra bread to soak up the lemon wine sauce). The cod we had for dinner was cooked to perfection, looking forward to going back and trying more menu items.

Went here one evening and the bartender could not tell me of they still had the run punch anymore. Not sure if she was new or what but she took for ever to return with my answer. When my party arrived we sat at another area in the bar and the new waiter took forever to come get our order. Never brought our bread until we were almost done eating. Over all drinks were good and so was the food. Service was slow.

Went on Wednesday, October 8th. Was truly hoping for solid food with friendly service. Only got half of what I wished for. The hostesses were nice but chatty among themselves. Had to interrupt their conversation with a polite "Excuse Me". The first clue that we were in a regular, run of the mill, franchise restaurant was the white kraft paper that was one the table, acting as a tablecloth. ugh. Our service was knowledgeable, friendly and good on her follow-up. Continued to come over and sincerely apologize for the long wait on all the components of our meal down to the bread. The menu is boring and insignificant. Example - I read Fish Tacos and thought "Hmmm...that sounds good, have had them other places and was curious to try their take on them." Husband suggested that I ask what type of fish is used. Server's answer is tilapia. Ummmm...why would I pay that price for a tilapia taco? Have the sense to make it worth the diner's while and use at least mahi-mahi or tuna. Bang Bang Shrimp - soggy and tasteless. Burger - frozen low quality meat. Fried Calamari - Rubbery & Under Seasoned. Just a true disappointment.

Not overly impressed. My wife and I shared the Calamari for an appetizer and it doesn't even crack my top 10. Their signature Bang Bang Shrimp was very good - my wife had it in the form of the Po'boy and mine was in the form of tacos. The Po'boy was loaded with shrimp and while it was very messy it was very tasty. The French Fries served with my tacos may have been good if they we fully cooked - how hard is it to cook a French Fry? Service was very, very bad!!! The food runners were more visible and available than the waitstaff (at least our waiter). I had about 3 bites of my lunch remaining when our waiter finally returned to ask if I would like a refill. From the time the food runner delivered our food until then we had not seen our waiter. Fortunately I had a full drink to prevent me from becoming parched while waiting the waiter to return with the check. I'm a little bummed that I will need to return to finish off my gift card as I'm not all that excited about returning.

Bartender forgot half of our party's drinks, some of our entrees were forgotten completely and when they did arrive either sides were wrong or the protein was overcooked. Both of our servers were apologetic but one of them seemed to be a bit new? I loved Bonefish in Virginia and had high hopes for this place but I don't see myself coming back.

Have heard a lot of good things from friends and family about Bonefish Grill. My wife and I decided to go and were very disappointed. The server was nice, with a sense of humor. We ordered Coconut Shrimp, which was ok and Lobster Roll which was terrible. We told the waiter and he said he was sorry. The manager asked how everything was and he said, I am sorry and asked if we would be coming back. We don't expect anything for free, but thought if we were not satisfied he would have taken something off the check. Not impressed and will not be back.

Great seafood with a good variety of choices. Restaurant is still new to area so reservations are needed for fri / sat prime times. This place is a few levels up from Red Lobster across the street and on a par, if not better than other local favorites - Harry"s Seafood or Deep Blue. Bonefish is more reasonably priced and less pretentious than either. Harry's and Deep Blue were used to being then only games in town. It's nice to an alternative for those that enjoy seafood without spending too much.

Not sure what happened to everyone else but I like this place a lot. I usually go to Bonefish Grill at least a few times a month. This location is very nice. The food has been pretty consistent. I had the short ribs and wow they are good! Get the White Winter cosmo and you will be happy :)! The servers are always good and I leave happy.

The Bonefish is located in the local mall, entering through an outside entrance. Once inside, you completely forget that you are in the mall. The decor is attractive and soothing. The food is really fresh...my husband had salmon and it had absolutely no fishy taste. Totally fresh. What I really like is that you can order fish plain from the wood fire grill and then add a sauce. So it's not cooked with butter and is very healthy. Good choice of sauces. House salad and dressing are excellent. My only complaint is that I ordered the scallops and shrimp, which came with the house salad and a side of green beans. The scallops were very small and not too many, and I was hungry after finishing the meal. Had to order a bang bang shrimp appetizer (delicious) so I wouldn't go home hungry. All 4 of us agreed that it was an excellent dinner, excellent service and the server (Steve at Concord Mall, Wilmington DE) was really fun.

I've been to the one on Rte 3 twice before and was happy to see this one open close to where I live. Went last night with a party of 4, had to wait about 15 min for a table (booth), which was fine. We ordered appetizers, 2 bang bang shrimp, potstickers & crab cakes to share.....they were very good and the dishes were left empty. I had the lobster tails and they were cooked perfectly. Two others had the Kobe beef burgers and there were no complaints and one ordered a steak w/mushroom sauce and he was pleased as well. Overall the service was great, food was great...my only complaint would be that it was very loud in the dining room. Will definitely go back!!

A friend and I came here for weekday lunch. The service was inattentive at best despite a practically empty restaurant. The food was terrible, my fish sandwich was so dry I almost couldn't eat it. To add to the dryness was that there was no sauce of any kind on the bun... Dry fish on a dry bun. My friend had the shrimp tacos also extremely over cooked and not filling. Not that we would have necessarily sent the food back, but no one ever checked on is to see if everything was okay. Bottom line, stay away.

Three stars not 3.5 or 4, we enjoyed our evening......but..... I was expecting more, and here's why. I've had the opportunity to dine several times at the Palm Beach facility and that was a first rate experience. Wilmington not so much. Food was delicious and cooked to expectations but the little things just added up, splatter on plates, spotty silverware, food runners auctioning off food, nothing I hate more than saying ... Mine, hers, right here , no that's hers. C'mon there is only two of us at the table and I'm sure the table has a number and there are seating positions so follow them and please stop auctioning food. Server was a bit late on the initial welcome and took several minutes to get water. **please remember- we were there 2 hours and spent over $200+. That's not a bad night, $100 an hour. Some lawyers don't make that! Service was attentive, polite and execution good but not polished! Sounded like a corporate recording at some points, I had to chuckle. Bang bang shrimp, ceviche and ciabatta loaf with infused EVOO were quite good. Shrimp crispy but lettuce garnish not fresh. Seafood ceviche was citrusy but not offensive. My sea bass with truffle butter was excellent and my haricot vert were cooked perfectly. The broccoli rabe although flavorful was tough.... The fibrous ends need to be trimmed more. My wife's entree was the snapper special with shrimp again executed well and met her expectations. We finished with a pumpkin crème brûlée, a very rich savory pumpkin custard topped I mean burnt (brûlée) with caramelized sugar. Creamy and smooth. A bottle of chard and a coffee, were also part of the meal. Now we come full circle... Three employees at the hostess stand and not one said goodbye, thanks, see ya, nothing! We didn't exist to them..... So why should I drop another 200, if in the end it doesn't matter to them...... Thanks for coming have a good night!!

This is a new restaurant to open in the Concord Mall, where the food options are pretty limited. The only other sit down restaurant here is Ruby Tuesdays, which is definitely played out. So it was a no brainer trying this place. The décor is wood and dark colors. It has an upscale feel to it. Even though there were not many people dining on a Monday at 3pm, I felt underdressed in my jeans. We had the calamari to start. I am a calamari snob, but I have to say this was very good. It was flashed fried, so the breading wasn't too heavy. I had the salmon, which is wood grilled, so it had a smokey flavor. I don't eat fish that often, but I would say this is one of the best I have had. My girlfriend had the scallops and shrimp, and she was very pleased. I tasted the shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. They also have an assortment of sauces that you can choose from for your fish. Our server was able to give us info on each and which would work best for our meals. I am looking forward to returning.

4 3/4, We visited Bonefish, Friday evening 1/23/15, 6:15 reservation. Fast, friendly sitting. Our server, Jackie, her 1st or 2nd night working. She deserves 5plus. Could not of been better service, friendly, great smile, sincere concern for us to have a great dinner. My food could of been hotter, taste great! Had trout with herb basil sauce. Thought meal came with seasonal veg. not sure was it was, the jasmine rice was very good. My husband had a kobe burger, noticed the bacon was missing, but not until he had eaten the entire burger. Jackie took it off the bill, she insisted doing this even though it was not a big deal to us. Wonderful service and great meal. We will return! Dave and Donna Grubb

I have been here for both lunch and dinner, and it is definitely some of the better food I've tasted in the area. The food is definitely fresh, but not always quick, depending on how crowded they are. The Bang Bang Shrimp is all the rage, and the Lobster Grilled Cheese is delicious.

I started out in a great mood till I got the horrible service while sitting at the bar with my girlfriend. We ordered food and it came out without any silverware or mat like most of the people eating around the bar had, then I noticed another couple on the other end that also had no mat or silverware until the food was served.. which ment we had to wait and let the food sit and get cold.. then I realized that it was only the white people that got the better treatment and that's before and after we got served.. and people get offended when race is mentioned.. the funny part is, I'm not black but my girlfriend is.. I asked for a manager and told her what happened and to her credit, she tried her best to make us feel better and I appreciate that, she took money off the entries because they came out cold but I never even mentioned that to her, because I can over look that if my service came with a smile.. that's what we hang out for.. to spend money for a good time.. it's too bad they messed up a good tipper....

Had a good dinner there. I ordered lobster grilled cheese with lobster bisque and side salad. The side salad looks a bit unfresh. Didn't have to wait for long for a seat and food. I would go back.

I had dinner here with my family on October 24. Party of five, we were at the restaurant for over an hour and a half before we finally received our entrees. I found the bang bang shrimp tacos to be dry and uninspiring. Fortunately, the appetizers were incredible. I would go back, but not before making sure that their kitchen is turning over tables more promptly.

My husband & I went here for lunch on a Sunday. The hostesses were unprofessional. They just stared blankly as I told them that we needed a table for two. I guess we interrupted their conversation. My husband ordered a lunch option, & I ordered a brunch option. We weren't given water or bread. Our waiter was nice & checked on us a lot, but he'd forget to take away our empty dishes. We shared the Bang Bang shrimp. It was good, but it wasn't memorable. It's not something that I'd care to have again. I had the Surf & Turf Eggs Benedict. My muffin tasted a little burnt in some areas, & it was too hard on the bottom that I couldn't cut through it. I thought that was weird. I've had Eggs Benedict at other places, so that was a first. My husband had the shrimp & scallops with jasmine rice. He said that his food was good, but the portion was small & he was still hungry. I gave him the rest of my food, because I didn't feel like attacking the hard muffin anymore. I also couldn't taste the passion fruit in my passion fruit mimosa. We shared the macadamia nut brownie, which was very disappointing. I thought the brownie was disgusting, & I couldn't taste any macadamia nuts. However, I did like the ice cream on the side. We found it weird that one of the hostesses was eating at a table in the dining area with some guy. Guests came in & the other hostess wasn't at her post. The one that was eating got up to help them. We thought that was unprofessional. We only went here, because we received gift cards for Christmas. We won't be returning.

First time to Bonefish and it was awesome! Shared two apps with husband and 8 year old: mussels and special lobster stuffed shrimp. Both were delicious and fresh. We agreed that the mussels were the best we'd ever had as they were plump, not chewy, and the sauce was a wine, red onion, tomato, buttery addictive, bread dipping worthy liquid gold. We ordered a wide array of entrees including Alaskan King Crab, lobster Thermidore on top of mahi mahi, and lobster tails. I loved my lobster tails as they were perfectly cooked and tender, not chewy. the other two entrees were well delivered and delicious. Portions were good and the sides were well seasoned and yummy. I was able to use a 15% off coupon from the Sunday paper too which is an unusual find for this quality level restaurant on a weekend. Most are only good Mon-Thurs. Will definitely return soon!

My and my bf just went here. We started off with the bang bang shrimp and imperial crab dip. Amazing!! We were excited for the entree I ordered rainbow trout. It was delicious simply perfection. He ordered steak med rare with crab cake. Cooked perfect it was incredible. He also orders a beer and me a margarita. They hit it out of the park again. We never get dessert but everything else was so good we figured why not. We got crepe bru lay and again we WERE AMAZED! Food came out with a quickness. Everything timed perfectly. They were pricey but we'll worth it. I'm def. spreading the word it's a must try you won't be disappointed.

Food was under seasoned prior to being cooked so it needed to have something added. Steak was tough. Salad was over dressed. Had the Corn Chowder w/ crab which was bland and had an odd flavor profile. The Succotash which comes with every meal was bland and flavorless(3 members of our party do not like lima beans and asked for a different side, which the restaurant was unable/unwilling to accommodate.) Garlic mash potatoes were good; the jasmine rice lacked flavor. Though the restaurant claims to be environmentally minded the still have Chilean Sea Bass (AKA Patagonian Tooth-fish) on their menu which we all know about the concerns. They were giving every table an extra portion of the Sea Bass to sample unfortunately it was not that tasty even with the pesto they served on the side and since the fish is rather flakey it fell apart when dipped. The desserts were the best part. Chocolate brownie and crème brulee were tasty and delicious but not enough to save the meal. The service was slow and salads were delivered at the same time as entrees; which is not good if you want to enjoy a hot meal then you have to skip the salad. When asked on the process of the meal the waitress would say 5 minutes or that the finishing touches were being put on the meal and at each point it would be another 10 minutes, before we would have to ask again how much longer it would be. She was usually good on refilling the water. All in all I will not be rushing back to this chain; as there are a plethora of fish restaurants out there this one falls far short on taste and service.

So Bonefish Grill is one of my favorite chain restaurants and still is but this restaurant need to train their servers better!! First of all the Host was awesome! We knew we wanted appetizers and drinks right away but wanted to wait to order dinner! We got the appetizers right away but no drinks until we were almost done with the appetizers! We tried 3 times to get small plates but they also came after we finished them! I told the server that we wanted to visit, by the way the restaurant was not crowded and the dinner came out in about 4 minutes! He never came back for anything!! We had to yell at him to stop to get another drink!! I felt he was rude and inattentive and tried to talk to someone about it they didn't have time! I would Never go back here!

I ate here for lunch with family after some gift exchanges/returns done for Christmas shopping. Wait time to be seated was literally 2 minutes. We'd ordered the mushroom and mozzarella flatbread to start. Also the mains - fish and chips (tilapia) and the surf and turf burger (kobe sirloin topped with bang-bang shrimp, cheddar, lettuce, tomato on a round brioche bun). Both entrees accompanied with fries as the side. The flatbread and the burger were enjoyed. The only dislike I'd say was the fish in the fish and chips. Since they used tilapia, the fish is thin. The fish used for fish and chips is typically cod, which is thicker, with more body. It felt like the fish was barely there and very oily as a result. Overall the experience was par, and nothing to write home about. The service was ok, no major delays, no mistakes. Facilities were nice given its a mall location. Prices are moderate and could lean toward the slightly expensive side, but overall the food was OK. I'd eat here again.

I have been meaning to check out the new Bonefish at the Concord mall for a while, but I give a new place at least a month to get their legs first. I found myself alone on a Saturday afternoon hungry, so I thought "Ah, Bang Bang Shrimp" But I didn't want to "spoil" my dinner so I am thinking just a beer and the shrimp and I am out of there toot suite. I arrived to find no hostess which should have been my first clue, but I figure I'm going to the bar, it doesn't matter. I picked out the less crowded end of the bar in front of a server terminal. So, I get a menu eventually and while I am waiting for someone to take my order, there's this discussion between the manager and a cocktail waiter about all his open tickets that he hasn't closed. Goes on forever, its obvious they haven't been trained properly on managing orders. Meanwhile the cocktail waitress at the end (African American with a jewelry band around her head) can only seem to wait on some friend of hers who shows up. Otherwise she is not moving with any sense of urgency. It wasn't so much the ordering process which was terrible, it was the follow up. I sat there for 10 minutes with an empty beer and plate, meanwhile no one is saying anything. Like I am invisible. By this time I am fuming and any notion of me ordering desert has flown out the window. I might try this place one more time, but definitely not the bar.
