So I know this is a pizza place, but I really wouldn't recommend their pizza. However, their meatballs are amazing. They are these giant, delicious creations with a very good marinara sauce and a little scoop of ricotta. The ricotta goes really nicely with the meatball and makes it even better! They also have really delicious bread. I do not eat wings or ribs, but anytime I have ever been here with someone who has had them, they always rave about how great they are and how uniquely prepared they are. I would not recommend this place on a Wednesday. I came here with friends not knowing about their special for meatballs and martinis. Coming here on a Wednesday is a mess unless you are looking to pick up a drunk 45 year old while elbowing your way to the bar. It is also super dangerous as I was leaving and was almost hit by two separate individuals who both definitely had more than a few $5 martinis.

My go to place for guaranteed great tasting wings and ribs. Of course the pizza is great but so is everything else that goes in that wood/coal fired oven. Amazing flavor! Getting back to wings & ribs: an authentic, organic flavor that is quite simply enhanced by that oven, no sauce needed even though peppers, caramelized onions and even a vinegar sauce is served atop to create a delicious plate...and I forgot the focaccia bread (we always order extra). Prepare yourself with an empty stomach and plenty of time to enjoy the menu the drink list and the atmosphere.

Delicious food, clean restaurant, and friendly staff. This is my family's go to pizza place! Thin, crunchy crust with many toppings to choose from. The wings appetizer is a must! Crisp wings seasoned with rosemary and other herbs, topped with grilled onions and served with warm seasoned bread. My husband and I have a weekly date night here, and we always get wonderful service and food. Enjoy!!

Must order their cheesesteak pizza. It's the BEST pizza I've ever had. It's full of steak and caramelized onions and the seasonings are perfect. The family style salad is also a must have. It's loaded with eggs, tomatoes, onions, and chickpeas with a vinaigrette dressing that's delicious!

Enjoy coming here! I am not a wing fan but LOVE their wings with rosemary, garlic and onions! Order their salad - very fresh. I love their white pizza add chicken - so good. My husband likes the sausage and mushroom. Their pizza is thin crust style. I just wish they would expand their menu.

The wings are to die for! They are roasted and caramelized. The pizza is amazing. I love the martini specials on Wednesday nights--$5!

Overall a decent pizza place and general, and much better than comparable pies in the vicinity. We stopped in on a busy Saturday night and all of the tables were filled. Anthony's has a (kind of loud) main dining room with a bunch of wooden tables, a bar area, lots of TV sets, and a small more intimate patio with a large fireplace thing in the center of it that looks like it came from one of the Hellraiser movies from the 80's with a lot of little flames rising up. It looked intriguing and as much as I wanted to sit there with flames to my back and pizza to my front, all of the tables were filled up so we took home a pizza. The menu itself is fairly limited and we chose one of their traditional pies which consists of Italian plum tomatoes, romano cheese, basil and olive oil. Overall the pizza was very good. The sauce was decent, the cheese was good (alas no buffalo mozzarella here) but I couldn't detect much basil. The crust was a bit thinner than other places in town but not as thin as what you'd find at places like Zavino or Pizzeria Vetri in Philly. It was very charred on the bottom and a tad bit burned on the crust but it added a lot to the flavor. We really enjoyed the pizza and we would order it again. They also have lunch specials and a few other things on the menu but it seems somewhat limited. The staff were very youthful and helpful, even offering containers of parmesan cheese and red pepper for the pizzas and opening the door for me when I left.

So disappointed they've changed the original Arugula Pizza recipe. Haven't been back since.

Unfortunately, yelp doesn't give you the option of separation. My star choice was not because of food. The pizza, albeit a franchise, is always great. No, this time it was the atmosphere. There was no outside signage or flyer that hit me in the face. I didn't need it. When we opened the door. I was blasted right back outside. Live music,REALLY LOUD LIVE MUSIC,REALLY LOUD! The genre was likable and apparently the older crowd it as they we're dancing and groping each other like teenagers. When an outside table opened up, we took it and were only blasted when the waitress came to take our order. She Screamed CAN I HELP YOU? I SCREAMED BACK" WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME? For the most part, as long as the door was closed, it was ok. Then the guy next to us decides to "vape"up. Is that a term? He was very sneaky, but it still stinks! Not sure about those in restaurants. Laws haven't caught up yet. I don't know what happened to our family restaurant. Rant over.

I want to give them 3 stars for the price of the pizza. But it was very good and the service was good so I will give them one more. The place is fairly small and gets packed. My biggest complaint is the small menu. They really don't have anything else but pizza. But at least they make what they have very good.

Great Wings! The food flavors are excellent. It's a little tight seating but service was wonderful. We will definitely be back

It didn't suck. Let's face it. Coal fired is superior pizza. But ... at 15 bucks for a small pizza with one topping it needs to be amazing and it's not. Our pizzas had multiple over burned spots. I can ignore some charring on a slice or two but there was too much to avoid. Maybe due to being it being evening the dough was a bit stale too but overall it was underwhelming. My gf is vegan and when attempting to order her pie we got a snide response from what appeared to be a high school girl working at the take out register. Asking for no cheese seemed to incite snark by then needlessly re confirming my pepperoni pizza could have cheese. It didn't help that a couple staffers seemed snooty which to me a busy building doesn't mean you're better than your customers. I don't expect humility, I expect a welcoming attitude. Overall not everyone should expect this experience but in the end it's overpriced pizza.

I would not go to this place again we had a party of 6 and was told there's a 35 minute wait well an hour later still not seated meanwhile others after us were seated during that time tables that could seat us people just seated their self and waiters would give them a menu knowing that they weren't seated by host an when we asked the management about it they replied they been doing it for years and they will continue if we want to we could continue to wait if not leave

I had the roasted cauliflower pizza. It is incredible! The atmosphere is nice, the staff are about average, the price is pretty high. I went with a group of coworkers & most of us for pizza & loved it, one person got salad which was great & another got the wings, she was not impressed. Seating is definitely an issue, we were there early & had called ahead so we were seated quickly. By the time we left there was a line out the door

Had just about everything here - pizza, calzone, meatballs, and wings. Loved all if it. If you're a fan of thick, chewy crusts and buffalo wings, then this is not the place to go. Love the toppings as they are not your typical pepperoni and veg like most pizza places. Particularly like the calzone with prosciutto. Great family place if a bit high in price.

The pizza is what everyone goes for, but the wings are the real treat! This is great to take the family or go with a friend and sit at the bar. Lots of beer and wine choices as well as all your staple spirits. There always seems to be a smarter crowd at the bar and you don't see the rough and ragged.

Absolutely the best pizza you will have. The wings are fantastic. The salads are great. In fact you will be hard pressed to find anything you won't like on the menu. It's all good.

Atmosphere just up my alley..A mix of Frank Sinatra rat pack and 50's 60's Yankee baseball on the walls. Very clean. Pleasant servers.the best Peroni beer on tap...and of corse Coal Fried Pizza is the best...Meatballs with ricotta cheese is to die for! Love this place..

Have had pizza from here a couple of times before, sat in for the first time this weekend. This is a breath of fresh air in the area. We don't get too many "trendier" places in our small town, so Anthony's is a nice change of pace. You get a sports-pub-like atmosphere with some great food and service. The staff is always friendly and helpful and efficient. The pizzas here are done well (sometimes a bit too burnt on the crust edges), and there is a good variety of toppings that go beyond take-out fare. One of my new favorites is the broccoli rabe and sausage pie. Lots of veg and lots of sausage loaded onto the pizza. The crust is thin but thick enough to give you that bite. We've gotten the Italian salad, which is actually pretty good - large cuts of tomato, lettuce, chickpeas, olives, and onion tossed in a vinegary dressing that isn't too overpowering. The roasted wings here are also a great change from fried stuff. They come seasoned well and loaded with caramelized onions and focaccia. Will keep coming back for more eclectic pizza whenever I'm back home.

Met someone here for dinner. The wings were fantastic! Oven roasted and served with caramelized onions, so delicious! We ordered the fresh mozzarella, sliced tomato and basil pizza. It was very crispy and cheesy. You can taste the "coal-fired"! Will definitely come back to try more on the menu.

Stopped by here yesterday evening with a small group. I have been here a couple of times in the past, and have never been disappointed. Last night was no exception. The pizza comes out with the crust slightly "charred", which gives it a unique taste. Also, the wings are excellent. They are baked with a great seasoning and cooked along with some caramelized onions. Not the cheapest pizza around, but well worth the money.

Awesome food. Great environment. Get the meatballs and the wings. They are delicious. The menu isn't huge, but everything on it is solid. Great place to grab a bite and a beer.

I think people have to know that the pizza is cooked in such a way that it will be almost burnt looking. I heard a lady complain about that once and I believe there is a sign that says almost what I just did! You have to order something you really like or want to try. My favorite hands down is the ricotta and meatball pizza. I just love the combo. They offer a generous size salad to share that usually has hard-boiled eggs in it along with olives, etc. We enjoy their meatballs too. They are different than your regular pies, so if you want the basic pepperoni pizza, go to the corner joint. The bar area is always hopping. The movie memorabilia is fun too.

I've wanted to check this place out for a while to see what all the hub bub was about. So I stopped in for lunch. I told the waitress, Kristen, that it was our first time there and she was like, "okay." Usually when you tell someone it's your first time, they welcome you and suggest things from the menu. She didn't and didn't really seem interested in anything I said. I checked out the menu and nothing even looked appetizing. I ordered the small order of meatballs. The meatball weren't that great but the sauce was yummy. The bread that came with it was just okay. The place isn't that big yet it had like 6 TVs. It was so loud it was hard to have a conversation with my guest. I have no interested in going here again.

Although the only thing that I eat from here really is the calzone, I love it! Having curbside pickup is a plus.

Good coal fired pizza. I'm not usually a fan of coal or wood fired pizza, but this place does it right. The sauce is excellent, as well. Nice outdoor seating, too.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza has the best traditional pizza pie around. Their menu is limited and a bit pricey, but their pizza is outstandingly fresh. Their wings come baked and herbed, adding for a unique and earthly flavor. Definitely my favorite place to grab pizza.

Went here on the way home from the beach. Had never had this type of pizza before. We got the Italian sausage....it was pretty good. The service was pretty good and everyone was super friendly. We will certainly stop here again if we are ever in the neighborhood.

The restaurant is nice & cozy and always plays great music! We always order 10 chicken wings and a small pizza. Their white pizza is sooo good! But my favorite item at Anthony's is their wings.. 5 stars just for chicken wings alone! They are THAT GOOD! We'll be back again soon!

I've been to several Anthony's restaurants in Delaware and also in Miami, Florida and I have to say that this location has the best service experience I've seen. All of the staff is friendly, helpful, and customer-focused. Last week my mom and I had a great dinner there, but we made the crushing mistake of leaving our leftovers at the table after we left. When we realized this at the car, I ran back in but there were other people sitting at our table already. I asked our server about the leftovers and she did her best to find them. She went above and beyond to take care of me, which these days is rare. The food is always excellent, my favorites being their wings and the meatball and ricotta pizza. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and outstanding service.

Anthony's is a great place to grab a drink and a bite. I love sitting on the little enclosed patio with a fireplace at my elbow and delicious pizza in front of me. I've been there about three or four times, and I've had exceptional service every time. Yes, the pizza is "well-done" - expect it crispy and blackened, but truly delicious. (My favorite is the sweet italian sausage and broccoli rabe.) Their app menu may not be what you'd expect, but each choice is a yummy surprise. The wings are spicy-sweet with caramelized onions; not the traditional hot-sauce-slopped variety. Yes, it's pricey, but well worth it for a step outside the ordinary.

Gonna keep this short and sweet, amazing pizza, sausage with basil is my go to. Wings are amazing too!

  • Shannon H.

I've been here a couple of times, and would definitely continue to come back. It's a casual place with great pizza! But if you're a picky eater, be careful because their pizza is "well done", meaning a crispy crust. So if that's not your style you may not like it. However, each time I go I enjoy myself, the service, and of course the fabulous pizza. Each time I go the manager makes it a point to go to each table and check on everyone, which I love. One time, he came over to our table and noticed the pizza was a little more well done than usual, and he offered to have our pizza be on the house, and he gave us a free $25 gift card to come back. We weren't even complaining about the food at all! Great customer service, definitely how you get customers to come back and share their experience with their friends. Also, if it's nice out definitely sit outside on the patio! It's a little more quiet than inside.

One of my favorite places. Not the cheapest Pizza, but the quality of ingredients and taste are worth the extra cost. The wings are the reason I keep going back though. Usually do take out, but my dine in experiences have been good too.

This is the first time I tried this place. I had been wanting to for a while. We had a large cheese pizza. Pretty good. Very crispy but I like crispy. Sauce had good flavor. Also had an order of the wings. They are baked not fried but nice flavor. But a little overcooked. We will go back again.
