Went to Peace A Pizza tonight for the first time since I was told I can't have gluten anymore (the best things in life are made with gluten btw) and had the most amazing pizza on a gluten free crust! We got the BBQ Chicken Bacon and Philly Cheesesteak pizzas, both so good! The guy that made them said that it's hard to do those pizzas on the gluten free crust sometimes since gf crust is not the most cooperative, but he did it perfect and it means so much to me to just eat a good pizza again! Also went before during the good ol' gluten times and their pizza was amazing as well, check this place out!

We ordered the gluten free pizza and asked for goat cheese instead of regular. It was a nice crispy crust. Hadn't had an opportunity for dairy free pizza in a while. Servers were great. Pizza was delicious. Cute place

Asked for three slices of good pizza once as I was in a hurry and was given the most stale pieces. One of them was real smelly. Careful what you choose here.

We stopped in for a few slices. We both really liked the chicken parm and bacon. The buffalo wing bleu cheese was pretty interesting. Not a lot of chicken, or buffalo sauce, so it basically turned out like bleu cheese pizza with a little kick to it. The pepperoni pizza was thin and pretty ordinary. The slices range from about $2.50-3.50 a slice. We ordered sodas - they offer New Hope premium sodas. They come in cherry cola, regular, root beer, and interestingly, watermelon cream. I guess they were out of cups, the guy gave us a couple of little water cups to fill up and didn't charge us, which was nice. I really liked the flavor of the watermelon cream, but all of the sodas were pretty flat. I've never heard of New Hope sodas before, so I don't know if this is how these sodas come, or the store needs to fix this. I imagine this draws in a big college crowd on weekend nights. Probably great for drunk eats, but an average afternoon lunch stop.

Had a bad experience, got some free coupons. Service was great the second time, as well as quality. Will be coming back again.

I was in Delaware for a conference and always explore wherever I go. I'm a vegan - so you can imagine pizza for me is a rare treat - and I'm not uber fond of fake cheese and the like. It was delicious here. I had 2 full pieces - with a soda and it was cheap. The crust was sublime and just how I like it - flex but not soggy with oil, not burned but nicely browned, and with a great texture (I don't like it when it is so chewy that it feels like you are eating gum). The sauce was good and the veggies plentiful. I didn't miss the cheese. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area and recommend it for other vegans who'd like pizza in the area.

Def the best pizza spot in Delaware. If you go with a few people try ordering a fresh pizza because the quality is amazing. I'm not a fan of selecting the pre-made slices because they simply just throw the slice in the oven for a few minutes leaving the exterior of the pizza warm but the interior cold. Try out a freshly baked buffalo chicken pizza it's probably my favorite item on the menu there

The WORST customer service ever!! Tried calling in for pickup last Fri nite at 8:25pm and was told they shut the kitchen 1/2 hr before closing so it was too late (so they close @9 pm on a fri nite????!!) So tried again tonite and when trying to order BBQ chicken pizza the guy asked if breaded chicken was ok. Huh????? So asked to have pulled pork instead and was tołd they don't have any. So ordered a Mediterranean and spinach, mushroom & bacon and a salad. Was told it would be 1/2 hr, so went to pick it up and was told that they tried to call because they didn't have spinach or mushrooms or salad greens. They said that since the students aren't here they scale back their selections. Would have been nice to know that when we placed the order! And really - what the hell pizza place doesn't have spinach or mushrooms??!! And also, so people who actually live here can just suck it when school is out? Suffice to say we bailed and went to Pat's instead and got tasty pizzas quickly with friendly, helpful service. We will NOT be going to Peace a Pizza again.

My favorite pizza place in Newark! Eggplant is my favorite!

I like this place a lot. It's one of my two favorite pizza places in town, probably my all-time favorite being Margherita's. The two places are similar in the quality of the crust and such, but I think Margherita's is more a classic old-fashioned pizzeria and this place is more one of the new, innovative places with the crazy and weird toppings. The thing I like best about this place is that they always have pizzas with a lot of vegetables on them, and the veggies are fresh. I especially like the one with fresh tomato and basil on it, but I've had a number of very good pizzas here. I have eaten here a lot over the years and the quality has been pretty consistent. I hope to keep coming back. The location is also GREAT, it's at the end of main street right next to where the university's main north-south path on the green crosses main street, so it's really easy to drop in here when I'm walking between north and south campus, and it's a very short walk from the academic buildings of central campus. Pleasant storefront too, even though it's a little deep and narrow, there are big windows at the front.

Extremely average cheese burger slice, also cost over 3.00. A few flies. Girl at counter could not smile. Two drink offerings were out of order (same thing last time I was here last year). A 2.5 average.

Well, I have to say I worked here circa 1998, and not much has changed, thankfully! Same delicious crust (there's sugar in it... the secret's out), same gourmet toppings. I stopped in as I was passing by and as they didn't have either of my two favorite options available, I opted for the close behind third and fourth choices, which did not disappoint, I had the chicken parm and margherita options. Wow, were they good! Thanks, Peace a Pizza, for continuing to do what you do!

I stopped in for a quick slice as I was walking around town. The Spicy Chicken Slice was so delicious, I went back for a second slice, and ruined my dinner appetite.... Yummy place. So many more styles of pizza to try.

Just stopped in for a slice today. It was heated all the way through! They have apparently fixed this issue.

While Margherita's might be the best New York style pizza in town, Peace a Pizza is the best pizza in town with toppings. They have a lot of great toppings and the pizza crust is crunchy too. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken pizza!

Good pizza, not great - little too thin, little too dry. My favorite selection is the buffalo chicken pizza. Definitely hits the spot but don't expect much more.

The place is just okay. The pizzas, even reheated, are still lukewarm and the cheese is very rubbery. I had the eggplant pizza and the eggplant barely had any taste to it. I usually LOVE eggplant, but it just wasn't working. Honestly, I can find better pizza at Pizza Hut for cheaper. The murals are cute, but thassit.

I like their chicken Pizza. Seating is limited and tight.

Hmm... I'm gonna have to agree with Erin on this one. The decor of the restaurant is funky and fun.... but the pizza was always bland and kind of stiff from being under the heat lamps too long. I much rather preferred to order some DP Dough down the street :)

lots of veggie options = very good! but, the dough was sweet. weirdly sweet. i am curiuos to try the whole wheat, we just had a slice that was in the case. i hear good things so Ill give it another chance but i wasnt crazy about this first try.

Look I know this store is kind of hipsterish, but I've never had a bad experience here, both food and service wise. Pizza is doughy and I really like that.

Aside from the outside decor of Peace A Pizza, for me there are only vague memories of disappointment with whatever slice I got. Such an attractive aura ought to live up to expectations. Nonetheless, you can get the typical Italian basics here as well as a few burger options.

Hard to find better specialty slices anywhere. The crust is delicious and the BBQ chicken is a classic! Different style than the other pizza places but uniquely delicious. 4 stars comparing to other pizza places...limited seating and not targeting parents/kids.

This is the go-to place for pizza if you're around campus and want pizza. It's close and good if you like specialty pizza. What do I mean by specialty? BBQ chicken, bacon cheeseburger, cheese steak, fresh mozzarella, mac n cheese, white with broccoli, and so on. Personally I prefer their plain or pepperoni and breadsticks, but something about it isn't quite like traditional pizza. Depending on time of day and time of year, they might be nearly picked clean or they might have quite a line.

It's a little expensive for pizza and it's not a nice place to stay and eat. That said, it's definitely unique. One slice is normally enough and the choices are plentiful. Fresh mozzarella is a popular choice and I love the Mediterranean Salad. Others are great as well, so make sure to give it a try.

A long time ago, a friend of mine told me that Peace A Pizza wasn't very good. This time, I really wish I hadn't taken his advice, because I just visited today, and it was great! The gourmet pizza here has diverse ingredients, and a lot of the pizzas on display aren't even on the permanent menu. I got two slices, one of a pesto pizza and one of chicken bacon ranch, for a total of $6. Now, I've had bad experience in the past with non-tomato based sauces on pizza, but these were fantastic! Even though they weren't fresh, but were reheated, they were still some of the best pizza I've had. The only potential problem I could see with this place is the small physical area. I went on a summer evening when most students are gone, so the place was basically empty, but I can imagine it's packed during the school year. I'll definitely return soon to see what other varieties of pizza they come up with.

It's exciting at first until you realize that it's just pizza and always will be pizza.
