What can I say...Fantastic!! Had a Groupon and went with co-worker for lunch after work training(CPR recert if you must know)... Shared some Edamame (nice and salty hot) and rifled thru the menu for what I knew and what I would want to try..got an assortment but zeroed in on what I believe is the truly best I have ever had,,,The Hiton Roll...well worth the wait!! Not an especially exciting place to dine but who cares, there to eat!

I came here with my daughter with the intention of getting awesome sushi for the lunch special....Well the seeweed they wrapped the rolls with was unbelievably chewy. Uggh. Acme makes much better Sushi. I'll get takeout. Sorry, but I was expecting better.

This was my first time at Kyoto; I met a co-worker for lunch. Kyoto is located in a strip mall behind the Wawa in Pike Creek. It's cute inside; nice for lunch. I recently had sushi for the first time at another restaurant and comparatively speaking, Kyoto is mediocre, if not bad. I ordered their Calamari Roll (tempura squid, avocado, cucumber, onion, tomato - I asked for no onion), Spicy Crunchy Salmon Roll (salmon, crunchy tempura flakes, scallions) and an Eel (unagi) roll. The waiter was nice. The sushi tasted almost room temperature and the calamari roll kept falling apart as I picked it up with my chopsticks (not cold enough or not rolled tight enough to stick together) and the pieces were too big to fit in your mouth; you had to shove it in with your chopsticks. I didn't like that. I was disappointed with the almost bland white ginger as well. I like pickled ginger I've had at other restaurants. Towards the end of my meal, I was having a hard time finishing; not because I was getting full but the taste was just off and I couldn't stomach anymore. I don't think I will be back.

We get take-out from here at least once a month, bring everything home and enjoy a movie. It's like a mini date night for cheap that we very much look forward to. We tend to mix it up as far as what we order and everything we have gotten has been very tasty. I think the prices here are comparable to other sushi places, so I have no complaints there. They are always friendly and quick and because we are regulars we often are given a discount. For a sushi place in Newark, DE I think this is about as good as it gets. We are very pleased with this place and will continue to frequent them.

This is definitely the best sushi around! The staff is so nice and the food is delicious! I can't get enough!

My husband And I had been searching for a quiet sushi place since moving to Delaware. I got a Groupon so we tried it last night. He got the sushi dinner, and I had the calamari roll, the spicy tuna roll and a California roll. The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was excellent. Prices on some of their specialty rolls are a bit high but they are very good! We will definitely be back!

We don't understand the rave reviews. The sushi & tom yum were mediocre. The fried oysters were small and tasteless. All together, we tried about 8 items. Everything was pretty much tasteless except for the house salad (delicious) & miso soup. We wouldn't go again.

Best sushi in Delaware! From presentation to freshness to flavor. No matter what we get, it's always delicious and reasonably priced. Sushi is an art. People should expect to pay top dollar for sushi. The ambience is romantic, the service is excellent, and the saki and sushi are delicious! We go back repeatedly.

The freshest, best tasting sushi I have ever had! The rice is a must have take home snack! Service is ok, and the restaurant is not fancy, but you quickly forget all of that once you take your first bite! try the banana roll and the kyoto roll! WOW! Richard RichGetz.com

I do not consider myself a sushi connoisseur by far. But that doesn't mean my mouth doesn't know what it enjoys chewing on. Everything I have ever sampled was delicious. The Dragon Roll is my personal favorite ("Succulent shrimp tempura, cream cheese, wrapped and topped with eel and avocado slices and eel sauce"). It is a small, quiet place. I would not recommend this as a family destination.

we shared the chicken teriyaki. It was two pieces of chicken breast with sauce dumped on top. I could have made it at home in a few seconds. I did enjoy the salad with the ginger dressing. Dressing was very good. We also shared 4 rolls. the rainbow roll was really good but other rolls were just okay. Bill was 63.00 with only one glass of wine. And could have eaten a cheeseburger an hour later. I feel like i have been a littel disappointed the other 2 times i have eaten here as well. And still hungry.

Over priced sushi in a run down shopping center. atmosphere was clean and nice but the prices are over the top. Gyoza was over cooked. Wine is also expensive!
