We hit up Nino's on a rest stop while road tripping up north for the holidays. Two slices of pizza and a bottle of water came in at $5 - pretty sweet deal. The pizza slices were huge and piping hot - we got them straight out of the oven, definitely the way to go. No skimping on the cheese at this place! Nino's pizza tasted so good going down (despite the grease dripping everywhere down our fingers and hands), but we definitely felt a bit unhealthy once our slices were polished off. Still, for the price and service, this was a satisfying stop for a bite.

We moved into Middletown in October 2012. We ordered pizza from here thinking it would be similar to the pizza in Wilmington where we previously lived. Boy were we disappointed. It took over an hour to get the pizza and when it did show up it was cold, sloppy and when you picked up a slice half the ingredients would slide off. The delivery driver was less than friendly. Some say this is as good as it gets in Middletown. If that's true, we will be trying another town.

Pizza is great here. One of my favorite things about this place is the free garlic knots, they're awesome. French fries with old bay and a pizza. Yum

We had a large sausage and peppers sandwich for lunch today. It was by far the worst thing I've ever had. They microwaved the sandwich with the smallest amount of sausage I never seen before. I don't think I will never go back again.

Just ordered delivery and I was the 400th caller...goes to show they are super popular, but they gave me 4.00 off my order! Doesnt seem like much, but when you arent expecting it, its pretty sweet!

Bad. Absolute cabbage. Never get my order right. Over charge Half the time. Forget to bring things in delivery. Pizza is always cold because they cook and serve it before the rest of your meal. Refuse to go again.

I'll just say it: Nino's in Middletown is about as good as it gets when it comes to Italian (in Middletown). The first time I ate there I did not have very high expectations, but they certainly corrected that quickly! I have since been back multiple times and won't hesitate to have pizza delivered. They even have two separate sides: one for sit-down dining and one for take out. I love this place! Service: Good, friendly service. Food: Very good food. Portion sizes were a little small in my opinion, but my wife will argue otherwise, so no complaints there, I suppose. The last time I was there had a Hawaiian Personal Pan Pizza which was very good. My only real complaint is that they tend to keep the dining room very cold. I've been there about three times each time it has been very cold. Highly recommend if you're going out in Middletown for lunch or dinner. Currently my favorite restaurant in Middletown. Edit: I've since had the pizza delivered several times and each time I find myself more disappointed. I'm not sure if they changed their pizza recipes or if my house is just too far out in the delivery zone. But the pizza is just not good anymore.

Don't let the stripmall type setting fool ya, very nice place. It's a pizza/entree place but the setting is more entree. Although the pizza is some of the best around. The bread knots they serve before dinner are outstanding. The dinner salad is average, probably the weakest part of the dinner we had tonight. I got the spaghetti classico which is basically spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. It was good, the sausage was very tasty. My wife got the gnocchi caprese, and said it was just ok. The presentation of it looked delicious, but I'm not a fan of that dish so I didn't try it. Our son had a small pepperoni pizza and it was excellent.

While staying at the Hampton, I ordered the Veal Parmesan dinner. It cost 14.99 and came with a side salad and garlic knots. The veal parm was cook perfectly and the sauce was plentiful and sweet. Good balance. The pasta was a thin spaghetti, not over cooked, but not aldente. I would recommend going here if you are in the mood for Italian food that isn't pretentious.

Had excellent FRESH pizza at Nino's for take out today at very reasonable prices. We got a large plain cheese and a large white veggie pizza which cost $20. Delicious sauce and great lighter crust. Will be back for more!

This used to be our favorite delivery in Middletown, but something happened in the last year. The food had become tasteless and portions stingy, it's generally cold, the order is wrong and the delivery drivers are rude. We've sworn the place off. Try Roma's, much better.

"Primarily a takeout/delivery joint"...? Just not so. Fine dining-in experience. Crab & Shrimp dip is about the best appetizer anywhere. Voted Readers Choice & Best in Delaware multiple times for a reason.

This review is based on Nino's online ordering and delivery service. After two and a half years of terrible service I can only conclude that terrible service is what the Middletown Nino's Pizza strives for. I have been ordering from the Middletown Nino's since I moved to the area in the Summer of 2012. I say with no exaggeration that every single order I have ever received has had a mistake. Very often items are missing from my orders. What adds insult to injury is how long it takes for the missing items to be delivered once I've called to complain. It only takes 15 minutes to drive between Nino's and where I live. I see no reason for it to take 40 minutes or more for my missing items to be delivered when it is something that should be on hand and ready to go like bread or soup or tiny cups of sauce that they charge 50 cents for. It's understandable that mistakes may happen on rare occasion, but to have parts of your meal consistently forgotten and not be delivered until the rest of my meal has either long since been eaten or gone cold is extremely frustrating. This kind of mistake happens so consistently that its almost as if such poor service is what Nino's is aiming for. Foolishly, I have put up with this kind of service for two and a half years because even though I find the quality of their food to be mediocre at best, other members of my family seem to enjoy it and because ordering from Nino's is convenient. However, this evening's fouled up order was the last straw. Not only didn't I receive the garlic knots and marinara sauce that were supposed to be included with my two entrees and calimari that I ordered, but when I called and complained about it I had to wait approximately 45 minutes to get through to anyone on the phone. Furthermore, once I did get through I was told that the missing items would be delivered; but I waited an hour and a half for the items to be delivered and they never were. I finally called the restaurant to inquire and was told that there was some kind of mixup and that I would receive a credit (because apparently they weren't going to bother trying to deliver my food anymore). I would think that if a customer calls to complain that there was a problem with their order, the establishment would take extra care to make sure it was corrected. But these people managed to not only screw up the order but also screw up the fix for the initial screw up. There is a severe lack of competence in whoever is processing their orders and whoever is responsible for quality control, and it all reflects very poorly on the management. Furthermore, this consistent poor service betrays a lack of respect for their customers. Not only is their service poor, but as I mentioned earlier the quality of their food is mediocre at best. An excellent case in point was the chicken marsala I ordered this evening. It was an absolute joke and any respectable Italian restaurant would be ashamed to have served it. What they are passing off as "Tender chicken sauteed with garlic and mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce" (quote from their menu) is fried chicken tenders (the same ones I ordered for my two year old son's dinner, the kind you get as Costco) soaked in oil and way too much garlic. The only accurate part of their description is that there were sauteed mushrooms. It was so gross I couldn't finish it. So, I have decided to enforce my long held belief that Nino's no longer deserves my business. This evening I have vowed to never patronize their establishment again, and I do not recommend that anyone else does either.

Lousy pizza but decent entrees, pasta dishes and subs. Dining room is nice but this is primarily a take out/delivery joint.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
