What a great find! -- One of the few places open on a Sunday morning. I had the Mexican Biscuit which was a biscuit and has browns with an egg covered with green chili sauce. -- Very tasty but not too spicy. Packed with locals -- and with good reason - get out the GPS and get a great meal.

Had a group of 8 camping just down the road at Trinidad Lake. We had passed this place on our way to the campground and thought this 'hole in the wall' might be a good place to have dinner. Sure enough, it was a great little place. Nothing fancy, but the food was very good. Everyone left happy and full. I had the chi-lee burger, which is a 'slopper' for all you Puebloans. Open faced, two burger patties smothered in their green chili and covered in fries. Chili was a little thick, but had a nice flavor to it. Nice roadside cafe with very close proximity to the lake.

In no way a fancy eatery, but just a good, solid, quick way to fill your belly. My hubby had the very delicious Mexican biscuit (green chili pork sauce with cheese smothering a nice biscuit and hash browns on the side) and I had Grandmas French toast which was just fine. With a nursing baby who also needed a diaper change we had eaten and left in about 30 minutes. Good quick service.

Wonderful hamburgers and homemade French fries. Well worth the stop. Beats eating at a chain restaurant any day. Not far off I-25 and all the reviews are accurate. Huge hamburgers. I had the kids burger and it was more than adequate.

Friendly staff. However food was incredibly bad and greasy. It was the worst food I have had in years Staff ran their their hair continually.

Found this local gem on Yelp and decided to try it on our way back to Albuquerque from Denver. Looks like a hole in the wall so don't be put off by outside. It's clean, simple and could not ask for better service - very friendly and welcoming. Tried their specialty Chi-lee burger - open-face with green chile sauce and fries on top. We split the large order and more than enough. Saved room for their homemade blueberry pie. All excellent. For local dining (we stay away from chains and support local business on our travels) I highly recommend.

I recently stopped by and had some blueberry pancakes, sausage and some OJ. The reviews had me expecting a pretty amazing experience. I'm not sure what all the rave reviews are about. The food was pretty standard breakfast food; the service was average; the OJ came in a can; the meal was reasonably priced. All of this to say, it was an A-OK meal, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars.

OK place, Rueben was OK the corned beef was flat in presentation and flavor...French Fries were natural cut and the best....good service

Looks pretty divey on the outside, and the interior isn't much better. However, my loaded breakfast burrito was great, and smothered with tasty green chili. My son loved his slopper (that's a regional term for a burger smothered in red or green chili), although they called it something else. However, I can only give it three stars because of the appearance, lack of soap in the men's room, and because our server just exhibited minimal politeness and never asked how our food was. However, the other server who cashiered us asked how we liked it and was friendly. Still, I'd go back if wanting to eat in Trinidad while driving through, even though it's a bit out of the way.

This business is located off the beaten path, but well worth it. It is a small run cafe with home cooked food and lots of it. I had breakfast there twice and could not finish the egg omelet, hash browns, and pancakes because it was so much food. But tasted wonderful. A definite place to go stop at.

This is GREAT small town cafe. We drove around town for an hour looking for a place to take the family for dinnner. Finally Yelp to the rescue! We found this place and the food was wonderful. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable. Please support these small town cafes. Forget the fast food restaurants! You have to try their burgers they are great, plus their chile too. I will definitely come back. I almost changed my travel plans to eat there for breakfast the following day!

My family and I stopped here during our road trip from Texas to Colorado and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. My little sister said it reminded her of our grandparents' house so there was a nice simple yet comfortable atmosphere about the place. And then the good was awesome! If we ever come through Trinidad again, we will definitely stop at Bob and Earl's Cafe.

I had a blueberry pancake- it was huge and served with real butter. Our server was a very nice woman and was GREAT at her job. We moved seats around because my brother was hot and she still got all of our orders right. Added bonus was that she was super nice :) - good coffee, fair prices, standard fare - They were busy Sunday morning so plan accordingly. There's a second room in the back so there's more room than you'd think. Mama's cooking, right here.

Our family stopped here for breakfast and wanted to avoid the usual fast food places along the road. Small diner just outside of town but well worth the trip. I had the smothered burrito. The smaller version was a dollar less and it was half the burrito, so I ordered the full burrito since it was just a dollar more. It was so good I finished all of it. I ordered it smothered with green chile. My kids ordered pancakes and french toast and were both delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. Will be stopping here again on the road back from Colorado Springs.

Great place just outside of town. They've got an extensive menu for all meals, but breakfast happens to be my favorite. This is the place all the local go to every single weekend - always a good sign. The breakfast burritos are amazing, and the green chile is fantastic. Staff is friendly, fast and attentive.

My husband and I were in the mood for some comfort food and Bob & Earl's hit the spot. It is a small diner on the outskirts of town with formica tables and a counter, nothing fancy, but very clean, and full of large families going out to eat on Sunday afternoon. I ordered the roast beef with mashed potatoes and brown gravy for $8.95. Was it a culinary masterpiece? No, but it was very tasty comfort food. My husband ordered the Santa Fe Burger which was huge with handmade patties and green chilis. It came with delicious homemade french fries - lots of them. It was also very reasonably priced. Our waitress recommended the coconut cream pie and I am so glad that I took her advise. It was wonderful. I will definitely be back next time I am in Trinidad for more friendly service and tasty home cookin'.

I'm on the road a lot and I rely on fellow yelpers to help me avoid fast food. Thankfully I found this great place this morning in the way from Colorado Springs to Abq. Good breakfast and friendly folks. Two thumbs up.. I'd make the trip here again without hesitation.
