Vietnamese Cafe Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

In a quest to find something 'different', my buddy and I went on a search (using our Yelp Tool Belt, of course) to appease the hunger. Through our search, we found Vietnamese Cafe. Vietnamese Cafe was a bit tricky to find; it is neatly tucked into a Strip Mall, located behind other businesses, making it less visible from 104th Avenue. We arrived at Vietnamese Cafe and we were immediately greeted by a Host. We asked to place a To Go order and were directed to the bar. After perusing the menu, and seeing the curries, I began craving Penang Curry. I asked the Server if he had any recommendations, and he quickly recommended their House Curry with a coconut base. Although I am not fond of coconut, I decided I would give it a try. Along with the curry dish I ordered, I received a decent helping of rice, an egg roll, and hot & spicy soup. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for the food to be prepared and ready for take out. After getting back to the office and getting situated, I opened the styrofoam container. My immediate observation of the dish was that it was not your typical watered down base curry (found in most restaurants); this curry actually had substance. I took my first bite, and the intense flavors drenched my taste buds. The texture of the curry combined with the steamed rice was very appeasing. There was plenty of the dish to satisfy my hunger's needs, and I found myself full before I even got around to the egg roll, let alone the hot & spicy soup. I will definitely add Vietnamese Cafe to my list of places to eat throughout the work week.

Love their noodle bowls! I've sampled noodle bowls in lots of restaurants and the Vietnamese Cafe remains my favorite.

I go here a couple of times a month and am a combination noodle bowl fan. Seasoned grilled beef, chicken, and shrimp plus low carb rice noodles and fresh carrot, cucumber, sprouts, and cilantro. Everything in one bowl. Nice! Tuong usually is my waiter and remembers my favorite dish, the combo. If you like it spicy, try their fresh chili paste on top. This place has been doing it right for 13 years. On the west end of Colorado Marketplace Shopping Center.

They have a really tasty noodle bowl with the vermicelli noodles. The portions are generous and yummy! The pho was alright, kind of wished they had more of a variety. The service was lacking a little though but not terribly bad, although can use work.

There are no Pho combos...Its 1 meat only. What if I want rare steak and meatball? Tough bananas kid, 1 meat only. The broth was ok, meatballs were really good and the noodles were good. Regular was only 6 bucks I think...so fair but was a little small bowl...next time I will get the large. Spring rolls were pretty good but $5 seemed a little high compared to other places ($3-$4) but only talking a buck or so. Waiter was not friendly but got my order right, fast, and the place was clean. No mind blowing Pho but I would go back!

Food's good - and they have generous portions for take-out, as well. This is the first Vietnamese restaurant that I've ever visited, so I don't have much to compare it to. My bf is a fan of the cuisine and thinks this place is okay - he wishes there were more exotic and authentic items on the menu, which has been "dumbed down" for Americans (the owner admitted this to us). The atmosphere is okay - the women like to talk really loudly in the kitchen and that can be frustrating if you're trying to have a conversation. Tip: This location is behind the McDonalds by Albertson's. There is no sign by the road, so if you don't know where it is, you won't find it.

I had a noodle bowl with chicken and my gf had the grilled meat sampler with chicken, beef, and pork all on one plate, all marinated with lemongrass. We also started with some pork egg roles. Pho, Vietnamese entrées, and a full bar were also available here. My noodle bowl was good, and the chicken was flavorful, but the experience paled in comparison to the Vietnamese food I've experienced just a few miles away in Denver. Maybe this is decent for a Thornton restaurant, but it would never make it at Federal and Alameda.

Huge portions. I ordered the grilled pork noodle bowl. Good stuff. Not the best but still very tasty. The vietnamese coffee was great and so was this fried calamari appetizer we ordered.

visited on 7/1/12.... Upon walking in the first set of doors and smelling incense and seeing the offerings to the buddah gods I noticed it was going to be an experience. Decided to eat here after an afternoon of kickball at a nearby park and I wasn't let down. I went away satisfied after ordering the Sirachi chicken which was quite flavorful with big chunks of vegetables in tasty and not too spicy sauce. The crab wontons were deliciously homemade and crispy. My 11-year-old daughter ordered a tofu noodle bowl that was devoured in a matter of minutes and we all came away happy with our selections and with the wait staff who were friendly and kept the cold water glasses full.

We tried Vietnamese Cafe for the first time. It was FABULOUS. Try the Tour of Vietnam. We loved the Basil Chicken and sesame chicken. We also had some fried seafood, which was also delicious. Service was great.

Love, love, loved the food! I had the curry beef, with wonton soup and they both were awesome. My husband and I agreed that the egg rolls (which had meat in them ) were the best that we've ever had anywhere. Sending my husband back today just to pick up a to-go order of the egg rolls.

Get the curry, it's amazing. They also have one of the best hot and sour soups I've ever had. Every time my family comes into town, they stop here first for hot and sour soup and curry! I've been to several other Vietnamese places nearby and they just don't compare. This is fresh, tasty food.

Depart plane at D.I.A.. Pee. Drive by demon blue horse (don't hate) and head to vet on 104th to pick up Mr. Collins. Torn between two lover's....no food at home and one pissed off dog waiting. Greasy delivery at home...ah, no. I spied the sign for this joint. Two weeks of pho withdrawal and this oasis arises; DT's, spiders under skin, severe malnourishment. OK, ate really well in Chicago but didn't run into one pho place. Curious. HOT broth!! HOT burn your mouth and cooking the noodles perfectly broth. Needed no tweaking, no limes or sauces, just sprouts and jalapenos. There was half a cow in my pho. No really, I think it mooed. The ball-n-chain wondered if grandma was making the broth and millions of meatballs in the kitchen. The thing was, there was a huge selection of dishes and the pho was hidden in the corner of the menu. It really should have been more prominently placed on the menu. Cloth napkins. Woot! Nice veggie plate, served with fresh cilantro. Two sizes of broth, no nasty bits but the broth is great. Specify or you will get the large at a whopping $6.95 - damn the suburbs! Service, well you know, you have all been to Vietnamese places...it is what it is and isn't. Really. But if we are ever starving after a flight and need to pick up a hound, we will hit this place.

As I say about a LOT of restaurants around here, this place's main flaw is that they're not in Brighton. Which is to say, most of Brighton's restaurant offerings SUCK. But I digress. As I sipped an iced Vietnamese coffee on their recently opened patio, it occurred to me I had yet to Yelp this place. Now, most Yelpers seem to think that pho is the be-all and end-all of Vietnamese cuisine. I ain't that big of a fan of pho, although I'm sure it's great here. Nosiree, what really trips my trigger is: The Combo Noodle Bowl, and this place delivers up the goods. Mmmmmmm., crispy viet egg-rolls, savory grilled meats and shrimp, fresh herbs, crunchy veggies, fish sauce, and a generous squirt of Sriracha hot sauce. MMMMMMMMMMMMM-booyah! Nice, clean place, even the bathroom is immaculate, service is great, friendly, yet unobtrusive. I tell ya, I could eat here every dang day of the week. Too bad they're not in Brighton.

I had their version of Thai Curry and never again. I found it just disgusting when compared to actual Thai Curry. I doubt I'll ever try this place again.

Typical Grocery Store shopping mall, McDonnolds in the parking lot, LQ store, Laundry-mat/H&R Block, Alberstons, Vietnamese Cafe..... you don't expect much. My Aunt took me here one day for lunch and I've been hooked ever since. Although I've only ever had one thing, it's served me well. The Lemongrass chicken noodle bowl and my new fav. the combination, steak, shrimp noodle bowl. I hate shrimp so I give them to my husband, but the steak is sooooooooo good! Anyway, it's wonderful and if you in the area, def. a good choice. Ive been here A LOT over about the last 4 years, and I've never not once had bad service or food.

I see 2 types of ethnic restaurants. First is the kind that makes authentic food, has a menu in their native language with a translation next to it. The other is type with everything in English and the Americanized in an effort for wider appeal. Vietamese Cafe is that sort of place. The place was packed when I went. Oddly, there was not a SINGLE asian customer in the entire place!!! The service was polite and fast. The place is impeccably clean too. The menu is hit and miss. It's hard to tell if anything is authentic if it all reads in English, maybe a dish isn't Vietnamese if you can't see a Vietnamese name with it. We ordered spring rolls, lemon grass seafood and beef curry fried rice. The spring roll wrapper was pastey and waterlogged. The lemon grass seafood didn't have any lemon grass in it. Lemon grass is used for flavoring and is inedible, but I'm used to separating it out when I go to Thai places. Maybe the removed it after cooking, but honestly I think they didn't use any. It tasted like Sweet and Sour Seafood. The fried rice was mushy. I doubt they used a wok to cook it, it tasted microwaved. There was no "Wok Hei"... that smokey taste you get from a food cooked in a blast furnace heated wok. The Good: Popular place Good intro restaurant for Vietnamese inspired food (in the same way Taco Bell is a good intro to Mexican Food) Very Clean The Bad: The food isn't very good. I'd give this place one star, but it's clean, well run and I'm sure it appeals to people who aren't ready for authentic Vietnamese food. It's just that I don't go to places called Vietnamese Cafe when I want American food.

After a long day of skiing, we had plans to hit this place for dinner. We made reservations for seven people at 7pm. When we arrived they were ready for us and we sat straight away. The restaurant was pretty busy with only a couple of empty tables. For a strip mall joint the decor was nicely done and the chairs were comfortable. Our drinks came pretty quick and four of us ordered the Hot n' Sour soup to start. The waiter said 'let me check' and when he came back he told us they were out of it then took off again. If he had to check then he must of known and it would of been nice if he asked us if we wanted maybe the Wonton or Eggdrop instead! He did come back eventually and ask that and one guy ordered wonton. The soup had three huge wontons in it and he said it was tasty. I ordered the Chicken curry for dinner. They brought out two bowls of sticky white rice for the table and then our meals. My curry was full with huge chunks of chicken. The menu stated that is was medium spicy and I think may have been a tad underrated as my lips were tingling and my nose was sniffling BUT I wasn't complaining. The waiter kept topping off our water and asking if we needed more drinks. We only had to once ask for more rice for the table and he brought it out quickly. Everyone cleaned their plate so it was all good. My buddy next to me got the spicy bean combo and I may have to try that the next visit as it was very good. So while the location is not close for me, maybe I can make it up there for lunch one day.

I'm giving this place 2 stars for the 2 good things about it. This was a super clean place. The second star is for the awsome vietnames eggrolls. Where did the other stars go? The 1st one went to the un-friendly waiter. I've been going to a variety of asain food places lately and most of them are willing to spice up a menu item that typically isn't served that way. I asked if it was possibe to spice up the egg roll bowl, and I was reminded that there was hot sauce on the table. Our food was served fairly quickly after ording. My food was ok I've had similar dishes at other places that tasted better. I think it was the mint that was over done. Being in a large group, our waiter was not prepared. Once everyone was served he took our order again so he could write up our tickets. Our group was offered a discount which was forgotten, so we waited longer for the waiter and staff to figure 10%. That should have been easy except they we're also putting on a 15% gratuity. I guess that is fine until I give a 20 dollar bill on 9 dollar check and I'm asked if I want my change. No I don't want my change after you already included your tip on my check and I now want to give you 100% tip for crappy service??? REALLY!!! Yes I want my freaking change back. So I got my change back and they can keep the other stars I'm not giving them on this review.@ I have to say in their defense the person that was a head of our group was checked on many times, and the waiter was very attentive on that end of the table. Other people in the group were pretty satisfied with the service and their meal. To bad they aren't the ones doing this review. I've lived in the area for 6 years without going here. Looks like I haven't missed anything!

Man, I love this place! The combination of a spotless, contemporary setting and delicious Asian fare never fails to make me a very satisfied diner. On my last visit (mid-April 2012) I went with friends, and (of course) we had the Vietnamese fried eggrolls as an appetizer. Vietnamese eggrolls just might be the most delicious food ever invented, and totally put Chinese eggrolls to shame (apologies to my Chinese friends, but it's true). The Vietnamese Café has great ones, too. I always have the urge to ignore the lettuce/rice noodle/ cucumber/mint wrappings and just gobble down all the available eggrolls while my companions are putting their various wrapped-up concoctions together, but somehow I've resisted the temptation so far (someday I'm going to do it, though!). Anyway, on to the entrees. I usually have the beef-wrapped shrimp (indescribably delicious) or the lemongrass chicken (classic), but recently I tried the combination grilled rice platter. Holy cow! At $10.95 it's got to be the best bargain on the menu. It's a gigantic platter with (even more!) eggrolls, an entire grilled chicken breast half, a huge marinated pork chop, and a generous serving of thin-sliced grilled beef. I'm generally not the type to ask for a takeout container, but I definitely did with this dish. My terrific dinner wound up being a delicious lunch as well! My companions had the Crispy Garlic Shrimp, the Emerald Shrimp (both delicious), and a pork and broccoli dish which seemed kind of bland but still perfectly good (not everyone's an adventurous diner, after all). Outside the Federal Boulevard corridor, good Vietnamese fare seems kind of hard to come by in the northern suburbs, but the Vietnamese Café is a very welcome exception.

About as good a noodle bowl as you'll find on this side of town. If you have the time, drive to Federal Blvd. and go for some real Pho.

Chicken pho was delicious, ingredients were fresh. Combination bowl was fantastically delicious I highly recommend for those visiting for the first time. Hot and sour soup, spectacular! One of the best I've had.

Eh', went there to try it, based on a super opinion from a friend. Not sure what the hype was, but the Pho was less than appropriate, you could not order alot of what traditional Pho places have, and with that statement in mind this inclusive is not their feature so I can't ding em' too hard. The place is clean very clean in fact, the staff was friendly, and they kept right on top of it all. So it's a given so so food (pho), but great service. I will go back and try the signature style items such as a actual vietnamese bowl, but for tonight until they open this PHo 7 next to me this was the closest place to satisfy the craving, but failed to do so darn it. Ah well onto bigger better things.

i would have to say everything i have tasted here is full of flavor, the portions are huge and the lettuce wrap appetizer could almost be enough for two people to fill up on!

Ay Dios Mio! My favorite place! Their pho is sooo good! Whether u eat there or take out. Vietnamese pork egg rolls are amazing! Orange chicken is the best in town, but their best dish is their Garlic shrimp! Holy crap that dish is awesome! Lightly battered shrimp fried and tossed in this amazing garlic sauce served with cucumbers and tomatoes. The only reason I dont go there everytime I want vietnamese is because I spend 15 bucks more for take out there than at Saigon Pho in Westminster for the same amount of food, or else I would soooo be there every week. Now the service, depends on the time of day or their mood cuz its a bipolar staff, and for the price if you treat me wrong I would usually throw an eggroll at you but I wouldn't dare waste those delicious morsels sooooo I order take out. The only thing I have to remind them to put in my bag is extra chili sauce otherwise I have never had a problem.

sorry, went back and they must be slacking because it just wasn't as good as it was before. I guess some things do change in 3-5 years.

The restaurant has a giant Buddha Alter with offerings. The offerings consists of flowers, incense, fruit, diet coke (I think) in a glass, and a glazed chocolate donut. My guess is that the Buddha likes his daily chocolate donut and diet coke enough to bless this restaurant with talented cooks and lots of customers who love the food. Honestly, this is the best Vietnamese food I've had EVER. Granted I keep getting the same couple of dishes, but they are all excellent. Their seafood soup (like pho, but with a pork broth) lasts me two meals at least. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy. The combination plate has barbecued shrimp, pork, and beef with rice noodles. Egg noodle soup, delicious. My friend visiting from San Jose (which has a very large Vietnamese population) said that this food was better than what he's had in CA. Eat here. Your taste buds will thank you. UPDATE On my last two visits to this place, the quality has fallen. Maybe they are super busy, but my to-go pho had raw beef! Yuk! And on the second visit the barbecued pork was like leather. Proceed with caution, seems like the quality wavers a lot.

I had to write a review because of the excellent selection for vegans/vegetarians. It was so nice having options instead of only having one or two things to pick from. Not to mention that the portions are very generous. The Vietnamese coffee is also so thick and delicious. You will surely get a good full stomach here.

Behind a McDonalds and a tire shop in a strip mall in good ol' Thornton Colorado lies a little local gem called Vietnamese Cafe... perhaps oddly, they serve Chinese. And Vietnamese...But mostly Chinese. Any time of the year the restaurant is blasting arctic air conditioning so bring your jacket (and your earmuffs, gloves, and snow boots). Grab a hot cup of tea and calm down. Do yourself a favor and order the vegetable curry. It has no spice but even my spice-loving husband devours it. The sauce is creamy and flavorful with a slight hint of coconut. The veggies are slightly tender and well assorted. Pair it with rice and a vegetable egg roll and you've got an awesome meal- actually two meals. The portions are huge so I always bring half home to the Prince Charming.

  • Christina K.

Sad. Why do I keep getting Asian food in decidedly un-Asian places? Somehow I never learn. I really wanted some boba and I was in Thornton for work, so right after getting my rental car, I consulted Yelp for some boba. Vietnamese Cafe came up. I ordered the tofu spring rolls, which were sadly lacking in all the condiments and were just noodles, lettuce, and tofu. I've made better spring rolls. My guava smoothie was way too sweet and had large chunks of ice in it. The boba hardened in the few minutes I was trying to suck it down. :(

Great food. We are vegetarians and they have a good variety of vege dishes or that can be put with tofu instead of meat. Black peeper tofu is amazing.

Best Vietnamese restaurant in town! I love the pho and the noodle bowls. The restaurant is always super clean and the prices are competitive. My favorite dish is the combo noodle bowl (Shrimp, steak and pork) with chopped egg rolls in it. The spring rolls are and crab cheese won tons are also very good. My kids loved the sesame chicken and lomein. I highly recommend it!

Best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is relaxing, and very clean. The workers are amongst the most friendly and respectful people I have ever encountered. The food never disappoints, and is always fresh. Everything has such a wonderful flavor. I'm lucky I live close by. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by.

I absolutely love this place! I find myself craving their food at least one night a week, and feel pretty good after eating it. We've taken some Denver friends to this place and everyone has had only great things to say about it. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and casual, nothing too fancy. It's the food that we really love though, we often call in to order our meals to go and they always are great. After sampling many items on the menu the only thing I ever order, because it is so amazing, is their beef noodle bowl with a soy-ginger sauce instead of the usual fish sauce. The beef has a sweet glaze to it that I really enjoy. It comes with Asian sprouts, cilantro, carrots, noodles, and some lettuce. My husband always gets the same thing too after trying the beef. When we want to treat ourselves we'll grab a Boba Smoothie from them as well - they have a lot of really fresh flavors and they're all really tasty. We've tried them all. This restaurant is a favorite of our family and friends, whenever we want to go out to eat but not feel like we've totally cheated on our healthy diets this is the place that we go to.

My colleagues and I go here for lunch at least once a week. I don't know how such a wonderful spot like this exists in the area it does, but the staff, atmosphere and food inside are all fantastic. Their lunch specials are terrific value and I have yet to order something there I didn't like. It's a real gem hidden away in the otherwise-depressing Thornton/Henderson/Commerce City hovel.

All around the best Vietnamese in this part of suburban Denver. Try the traditional Vietnamese rolls as well as the chicken and shrimp pho-- the chicken broth is rich and delicious. This is my new favorite spot.

Very good menu choices and variety. I had the combination bowl (without fish sauce). It was a very large portion, with noodles, shrimp, beef, pork, egg rolls, and peanuts. We also had the grilled beef udon noodle dish. It too, was a very large portion, and very delicious. We were excited to discover this place and look forward to returning again soon.

  • Nate C.

Food, not bad - pretty good actually. Cleanliness, I'd say five stars. Price, average - maybe even little on the cheap side! The staff on the other hand. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with someone not being able to speak English very well; it's quite a complicated language. But I'm not exactly cool with "Zero English," Like "I'm not even going to try - English." So on the rare occasion that the waiter did stop by the table, only hand gestures were used." Again, good food, and all in all a pretty cool place to eat. But I tend to like a more attentive staff. But maybe that's because I'm just a little selfish!

  • Dave A.

Decided to stop in, been a few years, didn't take long to regret it. I swear the egg rolls came from a frozen box. Weirdest Vietnamese egg rolls I've ever tasted. Entrees were decent but expensive for what it was. Once loved this place but it seems with popularity came complacency. The $53 plus tip we spent here would have bought a week of meals at a sub $10 pho joint.

We love V Cafe. The red wine beef cubes and sesame anything are amazing. Very fairly priced. Service can be lagged so come in to enjoy yourself, and don't be in a hurry! :)

Delicious every time. What I really appreciate is not feeling like a freak because I'm a vegetarian. There's tons of really yummy options. Prices are good, service is great. Check it out.

This place is clean, I get seated right away, I like the menu, it's easy to read and they have a lot of food options for vegetarians and vegans. I love the curry it's a coconut curry and it tastes great. I really just come back for that now because it is so good. They have Thai iced tea here and boba tea which isn't bad at all.

This is on the way to DEN airport. I consider it a beginner's place for Vietnamese food. The selection of pho noodle soup includes rare steak, beef meatballs, chicken, shrimp, and tofu. There isn't the more authentic ingredients such as tendons, briskets, or tripes. The soup is only so-so, a little bland for my taste. The noodles stick together more than it should. The shrimp and pork spring rolls taste ok, and it comes with a thick peanut dipping sauce. The seating and environment was spacious and comfortable. My husband, on the other hand, who is not as much of a foodie as I am, gives the pho a 7/10 and the spring rolls 9/10.

In this awkward nook in Northglenn resides one of the best Asian restaurants in town. I supped on the spicy ginger chicken, served in a hot pan with a big bowl of rice. A few scallions for color and crunch a, julienned ginger. The service was attentive without being overbearing, the owner game over and thank me profusely for the business. And lastly, the contemporary design is peaceful, soothing and modern.

One of my favorites places for pho for its proximity to my work. The services is great, quick, and the prices are very reasonable. A small order of pho is more than enough for me. I'm not ashamed to say I eat here several times a month.

I had driven passed many times and finally decided to have dinner here last night. The interior is very nice and comfortable. The service was pleasant. My only real complaint is that this was the first vietnamese restaurant that I could not substitute chicken or beef broth for vegetable broth in pho. There was not a vegetarian or pescatarian friendly pho that wasn't made with chicken or beef broth. Since I went there in hopes of eating pho, I was pretty bummed. Instead, I ordered the grilled shrimp bowl. Our food arrived quickly and I was pleased with my choice. We also ordered the tofu spring rolls and the peanut sauce was absolutely delicious.

I have been going to this place since they first opened and I often get take out on weekends. Food here has always been fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced (2 large dinner entrees and a side of egg rolls for less than $22) - can't be beat anywhere (I've never had a bad meal here). Its a little bit of a drive but always worth it. Service is always prompt and polite (for take-out they always give me soy sauce, hot mustard, forks, spoons, chopsticks, napkins, and fish sauce). The best Asian food in the area (7 miles) for the price! They are family owned.

We eat here on a regular basis. The pho is really good but some other dishes that I really like is the beef udon and the beef wrapped shrimp. Also the lemon grass chicken is very good as well as the chicken lettuce wraps!

By far the best Vietnamese food. The food is delicious especially the chicken fried rice and noodle bowls. Not only do they have a good variety in boba's but they are also very tasty!

Wow! Every single time this place delivers. What do we want from a restaurant? Fast, friendly service, clean and comfortable environment and fair prices. They're all super nice people too.

Second to none! Every time we come to visit our folks we try to stop and grab a noodle bowl! The combo is excellent! Along with the Vietnamese egg rolls you will not go wrong!

Tasty food, good service. My only complaint is the parking, but that isn't anything that the restaurant can control. Well worth dining here, the portions are large enough for me to share with the kids~

I really like this place, and the food is great. Not gonna make this a fancy review, just a quickie. I've been here several times now, and I really like it. And while I really try to never order food from a different cuisine than of the restaurant, the sesame chicken here is excellent. Like stab a hobo for some excellent.

Yum, great little place for some pho, bun and egg rolls. The boba smoothies are perfection - love the serving sizes. The service is great, can't complain about the decor. A great place for Vietnamese food in Westy. Totally recommend this place- go on Tuesdays, they have $5 noodle bowls which is an awesome deal as their servings are HUGE.

Well just moved to this area for Littleton and I guess we got spoiled with true Vietnamese food from Federal. The food was bla at best, vegetarian pho is made with chicken broth. For Vietnamese food we will go down to Federal!

This time I had the Emerald Shrimp, and it did not disappoint. My 11 year old son who prefers McDonalds ate all of his dinner. I also had the Dragon Lady Martini which was surprisingly very delicious.

We've been eating here for years even before I went GF, dairy & pork free. Mostly soy free as well. They have really become incredibly knowledgable about dairy free & gluten free needs. Today I broke from the norm (chicken lemon grass bowl) and enjoyed the lemongrass beef lunch w/ gf fried rice, egg drop soup & they exchanged the egg roll for a gf spring roll (all shrimp no pork). Let me say not only was it a great price it was delicious!

We eat here all the time either dine in our takeout. The service can be slow now and again but the food is always good. We love the spring rolls!

Walked in and saw no Asians eating, took a chance anyways. Very Americanized restaurant. Food was bland and ordered beef and broccoli, beef was white and stale. The fried egg rolls were funky too. At least the Service was good though.

First time visit, so we ordered beef pho and combo noodle dish with beef and pork and egg roll, two of our favorite Vietnamese dishes. The food was excellent! We will be going back. The service was very prompt and courteous. Both servers spoke very good English.

Love this place... always clean, food always fresh. Our family has been eating here since they opened many years ago. I have never had anything I did not like. We usually order the spring rolls, Seasame Chicken, Basil Shrimp and Chicken , and the Beef wrapped shrimp. Excellent service even for take out. Its nice that they always remember who I am when I call.... Give it a try next time and it will be a favorite of yours too!

Seriously. NO. Don't go. There must be a lot of people in Thornton whose taste buds need to be checked or somethin, cuz these Yelp reviews are way off. But hey- that's just my opinion :) Came here upon Hans' suggestion but for his sake it was a suggestion from his coworker. We were starving after volleyball at Oasis in the area and decided to come for dinner. Got an order of egg rolls (which i think had beef in them..nasty). However I was starving so they did the job. I ended up eating mostly the noodles/peanuts they were served with, though. We each decided on small bowls of pho for our dinner. Pho shouldn't take 15 minutes to come out, especially when we're the only ones in the restaurant. But it did. And when it came....disappointment. The broth was so sweet! The meat cuts were cheap tasting, and the garnish the pho came with was limp and unsettling looking. Man I hate to be a bitch here but if it's one thing I'm snobby about, its pho. Don't waste your time and money. There are several, BETTER options up north- like Pho Duy.

Language barrier is definately an issue, was told it was happy hour so decided to get a blue moon, waitress even repeated blue moon but brought out a glass of wine!? Didn't want to make a fuss about it so I took it anyways. Ordering pho was complicated in itself where I asked for noodle soup(pho) with rare meat and pork, which in fact was got egg noodle soup with rice noodles instead, but got no rare steak. The broth had too much seafood favoring, seemed as though the shrimp was cooked in it which over powered the meat taste. The chicken pho broth was better! The bum (combination bowl) was pretty good for the first few bites, small bowl is very small though. The spring rolls weren't as refreshing as I would had hoped for. The chicken curry dish is best left for the Chinese/Thai restaurants. Wasnt spicy and just didn't seem to have the curry taste I was looking for. The only thing refreshing was lychee-guava boba. Overall this is an Americanize place for the food thats C rated Vietnamese food.

Didn't think we'd find good vietnamese food here in Northglenn, but it turns out we did. Definitely worth trying.

Nice find! Spring rolls, combo bowl, and lemon grass shrimp were all very well balanced and in general awesome. The egg drop soup was probably the best I've ever had, and the servers were friendly and prompt.

I LOVE this place! I've been coming here for over 3 years and am addicted to their combo noodle bowl (Chicken, Shrimp, Beef and Eggroll). The food tastes healthy, fresh and delicious! Great customer service. Too bad I live so far away, or I would come more often.

Their viet egg rolls are the sheezy! Love them and could eat a ton! My favorite menu items are the lemon grass chicken and chicken curry. They both have a decent amount of heat! Savory, flavorful and quite addicting! The restaurant is clean and well taken care of. The service is attentive, although the staff could smile more. :o)

Great combo plates! The atmosphere is a little awkward because they stare at you if you're the only customers there, but we always have water!

I eat at the Vietnamese Cafe' at least twice a month. They have great Asian food at a decent price. My favorite is the hot coffee that has the dripper and grinds served with the heavy cream much like a Turkish coffee. They have good lunch time specials and most menu options are healthy. The service has always been excellent and the restaurant is clean. Great place for small business lunches too.

The menu was about 4 or 5 pages. There was a lot to choose from but I didn't know what was what since I was more used to seeing it in Vietnamese along with English. I've ordered the rice platter combo and I'm amazed of the large amount. Although they've made their fried rice a little different, didn't expected it to come out the way it is. It was worth the money and the long drive but I was expecting to see more rare dishes that you usually see in Cali. Hmm...it suck that they don't have banh cuon which is usually my favorite other than Pho. Well, most likely I will be coming back though.

Excellent lunch place. Their lunch specials are priced cheap, and the food is amazing. The only downside is that they are closed on Mondays -- and that seems to be the day I'm having a craving!

This place has always been good until today. The egg rolls were so greasy they messed with your stomach. The pho soup was so sweet it appeared sugar was added.

We have been eating here since the day this place opened. When we lived in Denver back in the late 1980's, we use to eat at a Vietnamese Restaurant called New Siagon, It's still there on Federal and Exposition, still good, but not as good as Vietnamese Cafe. Two people worked there at that time, and we would always ask to sit in their section when ever we ate there. They were always so helpful and pleasant and thats who we wanted to wait on us. Then when Vietnamese Cafe opened, the owners greeted us, GUESS WHO? Yup, our two favorite waiters!!!! We were beyond thrilled! So anyway, been eating here ever since. Our favorite is the Combo Noodle Bowl (extra cilantro) and their Pork Chop Platter. The spring rolls taste like they just made them, along with the peanut sauce. The hot and sour soup is different but still delish! A friend of mine said he would only eat Chicken Curry at the Vietnamese Cafe, I tried it, he was right. If I don't make it at home, I eat it here. The soft shell crabs are killer! We just love to eat at this place, NEVER had a bad dish! Oh by the way, I've never seen any employee TEXTING, or TALKING on CELL PHONE or OUT IN THE PARKING LOT SMOKING, now thats class.

We are so fortunate to have this gem in our neighborhood! We've been coming here for over 10 years and it is still our favorite! Everything is fresh and delicious. I'm addicted to the beef pho and spicy tomato shrimp. Hubby's fav is the combo noodle bowl.

Wow, I guess I've been spoiled by all the great Vietnamese food I've eaten in the Bay Area, in NY, in Metro DC, and yes here in Colorado. It was Saturday night, and we thought that we'd try another one of the many Vietnamese places in Westminster. All of them have been at least very good so far. Vietnamese Cafe, not so much. If nothing else, it made me realize that there are sub standard Vietnamese restaurants in the area. To begin with, this is very beautiful restaurant, several cuts above the average Pho joint, clean and modern. However, we were kept waiting for at least 10 minutes after telling the host that we had 3 for dinner. There were plenty of tables available, and they didn't appear to be short staffed, so I was confused. We were finally seated, and we ordered. The wait staff was SLOW to take our order (it took them at least 10 more minutes to finally get around to us), but very nice, nowhere near as rude as the hosts had been, so we didn't walk out right then and there. I got my normal rice noodle bowl with grilled chicken, my wife got the same with beef, and my daughter always gets the same chicken noodles. First, my "grilled" chicken was straight out of the microwave, rubbery and tasteless. The rest of the ingredients were ok, but how can you ruin noodles and raw vegetables. My wife's beef was a bit better, but definitely average at best. My daughter's noodle dish was fine, but she's easy to please at 5 years old. The bill came to $31 with a 20% tip, but we won't be back. Life's too short to eat mediocre food, and there are dozens of better Vietnamese options in the immediate area. I had to go out to eat again the next day to wash the taste of this place out of my mouth. Shame on you Vietnamese Cafe.

I've never been disappointed with this place. They are very friendly and quick with the service. The food isn't necessarily healthy, but a lot healthier compared to most other places in the area. The food is always VERY fresh and delicious! I haven't had anything I haven't liked from here yet and I get something different each time. Their eggrolls are AMAZING, along with the sauce they are served with. Try their lemongrass beef as well, or the Chicken Curry!

Yum!! I greatly enjoyed the combo meat plate...it was a huge portion. The pork egg roll was delicious. The fried rice was cooked just right, very moist and not much egg (thats how I like it anyway). You can't go wrong with the pho soup if you are looking for something healthy. Also, I think the prices are just right, I will keep coming back to this restaurant.

We joke that this should be an extension of our office since we eat there so often, but we do enjoy the cafe. It's one of the only places around that isn't a chain restaurant and that offer some healthy food. I enjoy the grilled chicken egg roll bowl for lunch, but everything I've had has been delicious. My veggie coworkers are also pleased with their many options.

Best combination noodle bowl in Denver. Meat is perfect, service is top notch, full bar and Boba. What more does one need?

Some of the best Pho I have ever had! Incredible broth and very fresh & tasty rare steak. Also, the Chicken & Eggroll bowl is great! Their Eggrolls and Fish sauce are THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD.
