is it just me or has olive garden's overall quality gone down substantially over the last decade? i find myself returning a couple times a year because there's usually one conveniently located and the prices are reasonable. but the whole vibe is different now. lately when i think of olive garden i think of: ice berg lettuce.. bland sauce.. people in their flea market attire (no offense, but it's like any possible dress code has diminished as well).. and waiting ages for "cracked pepper" to arrive to the table after requesting it from the wait staff (what's up with that? shouldn't cracked pepper just be a given? why must they journey to morocco and back to find some?). i was there the other day and upon leaving, the kind greeter/ hostess lady at the door asked me how my meal was. i smiled and replied with, "filling." i just couldn't get myself to say "great" or "tasty" .. indeed, my tummy was full, but my meal was honestly on the uninspiring and blasé side. no complaints about the customer service. they seem to be on top of it. almost too much so. four minutes into a conversation and there they are again asking to refill something. sad times. i used to love olive garden. well at least they still use cloth napkins. 2.5

I never see something like that... My girl friend live in US, I came to visit her every year, so I always buy liquor anywhere with not problem, as long I have my passport with me, also I have been in other Olive garden location and I had a glass of wine, I mean a tourist with International passport you can drink anywhere right?? No at this location, I ask for a beer, and the bartender asking for my ID, by the way Im 40 years old, anyway she took my passport and left the bar, the manager come back and said he's not accept International Passport, really?? what kind policy is that??? I had drink all over US with no a problem.... This is absurd!!! this manager and this bartender should get training!!

This location is very popular, there is always a wait to be seated no matter what night you go. The beverage selection is vast but the wines are very common. The place always looks clean and the staff is professional, but I find the menu to be just so-so. They have some creative promotional dishes but not really italian. and the "traditional' options are mediocre. Still we like it, just never been impressed here.

The Olive Garden is American chain style Italian food. If you go there expecting real Italian, your dumb. That being said, they do make a mean salad and bread sticks. Service is hit or miss but the place is clean and friendly. You can't beat their soup and salad lunch. If you want real Italian food get your wallet out and go downtown.

We were a party of 10. We were going to leave, and the hostess made arrangements and we got a table sooner than we were told. Servers were nice and friendly and quite effective. Dishes good. My apricot chicken was good, veggie garnish could use some work. My mom ordered the Portabella Ravioli; she raved about it till the next day. Wife ordered Tiramisu... It was frozen. The gnocchi chicken soup was super salty, didn't finish it. The rest of the gang had endless bowls and were quite happy. Third time eating here and all have been pleasant. I'll come back.

I love Olive Garden whether here or in Southern California I'm a fan but one person in particular makes this business shine. I met Jeremy three years ago, I was in for lunch and had the most incredible service. I kept going back and became somewhat of a regular. Even today, two years since the last time I was here he still remembers my order, and is the single most attentive server I have ever experienced. If you end up going to this location ask for Jeremy. He is so sweet and nice. (Not to mention a total cutie!) While most know what Olive Garden has to offer I recommend the sun dried tomato sauce, for bread stick dipping, and the zuppa toscana soup.

Don't go to Olive Garden much, but on the rare occasion we do this particular location doesn't seem up to par comparatively with others, in the service, and food quality areas particularly.

I've never had a bad experience eating here; there are a reason chain-stores prosper: Americans like consistency....surprises are only good when we want to be surprised. Otherwise, the tried and true is always a safe bet. And this mantra Olive Garden has gotten down: give a similar experience every time no matter where you are located and people will come back for that same sort of habitual comfort that comes with this. Thus, for a chain, the Olive Garden has a lot going on for it. 1: Unlimited salad and bread sticks is actually a good idea. 2: The food is in general savory and tasty. 3: Wine sampling is always a plus 4: Service has always been good no matter if I am in Boulder, Denver or Colorado Springs Nonetheless, it is pricey, has somewhat limited vegetarian options and the fact that they have one store in Italy, just to try and make their image authentic is tacky. Hey....they are a chain, so hard to get that 5th star I'm afraid.

We went once. Food was terrible. Once again, no flavor. This is a recurring theme here in Thornton restaurants Salt and pepper on the table will not fix it. I used to love the Olive Garden, not any more. I can't say anymore, I don't care about the decor or service if the food is bad. It doesn't matter at that point..

Pretty much like any Olive Garden, but always packed at night.

WORST MEAL EVER IN MY LIFE!!! Even my 14yr old son wouldn't eat his pizza, and he'll eat almost anything. Sticky gummy pasta, Alfredo sauce that was worse than what I can buy at the store! Service was horrible too! First time is totally our last time, especially when we have so many good independent red joints (Pasquini's, Pagliacci's, Gaetano's, even Carl's Pizza!) that are sooooo much better...if I could give this meal negative stars I would! Run! Do not walk away from this so called restaurant!

Always enjoy eating here. They most be doing something right because they are always packed. I am not a fan of their main dishes but I do love the soup salad. Also always good to the kids and the service is very friendly.

Not a big fan of chains but the this olive garden has amazing service and good food for a chain. I had the tour of Italy which I highly recommend.

Olive Garden had really improved over the years but it seems like they are going down fast again. The service was ok at best and the food was bland, tasteless and over cooked. The salad and breadsticks were good. We ordered shrimp appetizer which was pretty good. The main course, citrus chicken was horrible. The chicken was dry and and vegetables had no seasoning and way over cooked.

So here I am again in an Olive Garden. The last time I was here I vowed it would be my last. But, life happens and I'd hate for anyone to accuse me of being so rigid (or opinionated) that I refuse to go out to dinner with people just because of the restaurant choice. But it also leaves me with a large dilemna. How do I try to convince myself that I want to eat anything on this menu? Of course I'm not helped by our waitress who introduces us to "Pinooo Nowareaa" and begins to pour us glasses of this heretofore unheard of substance. I take a sip and I'm reminded of why I don't drink red wine vinegar. I politely put my used straw wrapper in my glass to let our waitress know I'm done with my complementary sample. Now onto ordering. I figure spaghetti and meatballs is a safe choice. Can't go wrong with that right? How do you mess that up? I'm sure by now you can tell by my tone that somehow, remarkably, stupefyingly Olive Garden managed to make spaghetti into an inedible substance. At one point in time my wife remarked under her breath - after our waitress had asked us for the 42nd time if our food was ok - "was your food bland enough?" Yes it sure was! I'd hate to have any flavor sneak through. Good thing I didn't have a mouth full of water, otherwise I might have sprayed on everyone at the next table with her comment. There are many times when people exaggerate about how bad something is. Olive Garden as a franchise, individually and as a whole, is not one of those cases. Olive Garden does a disservice to the American public and lowers the cuisine IQ of the country. I'm still befuddled as to how this place is always busy. Why go here when you can get a much better meal at Maggiano's or even better your local independent Italian restaurant? How about we all do our American duty and just give up on OG? Please help me in my campaign against mediocrity, greed and ignorance.

We came here on a busy Saturday around 8:00pm, but was able to get a table for 2 pretty quickly. The waitress was very friendly and provided fast service. I always love the unlimited breadsticks and soup at OG, but sometimes the staff can be stingy, but our waitress was great! She kept asking us if we wanted more soup and even though we had one more breadstick left in our basket, she brought us a new basket of warm, fresh bread! I ordered the spaghetti and italian sausage, and it was delicious! For dessert, we got the Chocolate mousse cake. It was very rich. Although I love chocolate, the mousse cake needed a crust to balance out all the mousse and cream.

Great service. Easy to find location for folks traveling through. Consistently good food. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Good wine list. Nice to have a known quantity when in unfamiliar territory. Thank you, Tony! A great waiter!! Oh, and I recommend the tilapia shrimp dish. Excellent!

We usually love the OG but our first experience at our local up north one was not good . We ate at the bar and i feel that was mistake. Not the best service we have had. One bartender was not friendly and very monotone and the other didn't hold back her non verbals by constant eye rolling and smack talking about customers. Where we sat was by drink station and you hear the chatty and cattiness of the servers! The food was ok very dry and Spicey. Dessert was really the only think that was worth our trip!

I've tried to give Olive Garden the benefit of the doubt 5 or 6 times now but they keep coming up short. I am often given gift cards that can be used at various places and I have tried Olive Garden on several occasions. Most recently we visited during the holiday chaos and we knew we were going to have to wait. We were quoted a 35 minute wait and eventually were sat after 1:10. That was disheartening but we were starving by this point. We promptly ordered our food and then began waiting again, 30-45 minutes went by and I grabbed a manager. She was very polite and said she would find our food which she did, she even comp'd the bill. The food arrived and it was cold, my wife ordered the Steak Gorgonzola and the center of the steak was raw. It looked as if the meat was frozen when it was put on the grill because the outside was seared and looked nice but it was cold and red inside. I will give it to the manager for comping the meal but this was nearly 3 hours of my life I won't get back. That being said I'm done, done done with OG.

Don't go here for lunch!!! Our table had two servers and it still took two hours. It took 30 minutes to get out check and they messed them up. It was someone's birthday yet we got charged for the birthday desert. Poor service but the food was good

I am giving a 5 star review only based on an evening with service by Jeremy. He is the best waiter I have ever had, be it a dive eatery or a 5 star restaurant. Every time we go there we ask for him and he makes sure we have the best possible experience. He interacts with our kids and times our meal perfect. The food at Olive Garden is what you expect from the chain and is great for a family night out!

Ordered take out tonight online. Included a 10% tip. When my husband got there to pick up the hostess was rude. When he asked for extra breadsticks she became even more rude and told him she'd have to charge him. He didn't want the entire stock of breadsticks, just a few extra. She unwillingly gave him 2. You can sit there all night and eat breadsticks and soup at no extra charge. This is the first time we've ever had this happen. He always asks for a few extra when we do take out. Must be they're at a premium these days. Too many other places to spend our money if we're going to be treated like this over a few extra breadsticks. The attitude just isn't worth it.

We have been to eat in the bar 3 times in the past year; each time, our service was excellent and we happened to encounter very friendly, nice folks dining around us too. Wanted to give our server/bartender Shane a shout out for his excellent service! We were greeted promptly and Shane took great care of us from start to finish. At 9 months pregnant, he treated me like a queen - bringing out bread sticks even before we ordered, making sure everything was just right. I also noticed that he offered the same excellent service to those dining around us at the bar too. I sure hope the general manager of this location recognizes his stellar employees. Thanks, Shane!

We have lived near this Olive Garden for 7 years and this was our first visit. Quite a nice location, and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the atmosphere was inside. Our server, Jeremy was so helpful, giving us many tastes of various wines until we picked one. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. I had the light chicken lasagna at 550 calories, and it was delightful. Love the endless salad with light Italian dressing. Just a very happy experience because of a wonderful server, Jeremy.

I go to the Olive Garden about once a month, the food is consistently good, the breadsticks and salad are very good. I usually buy a bottle of the salad dressing to take home. I recommend the stuffed chicken marsala or this seafood Alfredo. They also have a good wine selection.

This has to be the best OG I /we have ever been too, we had the honor to go last night, and I must say, we had the best server/service ever, I would honestly have to give the service 11 out of 10 stars it was that good. I am not kidding we had a young lady by the name of Heather helping us and she was fantastic~! The food was good, the atmosphere was nice and it was just a good expirence, and who says you can't go out to eat at a nice place like OG for less than 50 bucks, we did it for 32.00, wife, me and my daughter, plus an appetizer, plus no coupons~! Good place good place~1!!

2 stars because long wait and over priced for mediocre italian. Average dish is $14 nice dishes are over 15. For that price I expect maggianos. Hmmmm maggianos or olive garden. Duh! There are plenty of other good Italian places for that price. Olive Gardens food is mediocre so prices should be $10 and I'd give it 3 stars instead.

This is a go-to place for me. I am not a big Italian fan, and I've had people I know with more Italian roots say this stuff is horribly generic -- but whatever, it tastes awesome to me. The service at this location is always on top of their game. I have never had a bad experience with the staff. I have only had one issue with the food in the tons of times that I have frequented the joint. They quickly solved the problem (under cooked chicken). I primarily go when they are doing their specials -- which has been a real bummer lately because they have not done a new special dish for MONTHS. They have been pushing these dumb multi-meals and meals-to-go, etc. Where are the new featured dishes, Olive Garden???? I swear we could count on one almost every month. My winning dish though, when I'm not getting a featured special, is the braised short ribs. SO tender and yummy. :)

  • Ben S.

This place is good for one thing and one thing only: the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. No self-respecting person who really understands Italian food would go here and get the ziti or lasagna, etc, and expect an italian food experience. however, the soups are good, salads are real good, and the bread sticks are also tasty. not to mention, my preferred s/s/b (soup/salad/breadsticks) are pretty reasonably priced.

This is by far the best Olive Garden I've been to. Nancy was an awesome waitress, and everyone on staff works together to make sure you're well taken care of. It was even busy on a Monday night!! Food was good and hot. This will be our Olive Garden of choice from now on

Sitting in the Thornton Olive Garden on 120th Ave I came across the most ridiculous policy I have personally ever heard of. First of all I must say their attempt at Italian food is lacking in real flavor for a place that claims to send their chefs to school. Now here is something quite interesting, try to order a glass of white wine with an appetizer and have a bottle of red opened to breathe on the table while you are waiting for you meal, and they will simply not allow this. I asked for the manager and hoped for an explanation but all she would say is "that is just our policy and that's just how it is". Are they afraid you will mix the two wines and create a riot? Maybe one would lose their mind at the mingling of two cheap wines? Could it be I look like the type of person that wakes up in the morning with a wine glass in my hand? Why then allow me to purchase a bottle at all? One more thing to point out, as one who bakes quality bread I cannot understand why their "fresh" breadsticks turn hard after they cool off? This to me seems like someone is re-heating something and we are not being served a product that is as "fresh" as they claim. Either way as one who truly knows what real Italian food is and I must add how to properly prepare it, you money is better spent elsewhere. This is the Metal Chef Rocker giving you his honest and humble opinion.

I am not a fan of chain restaurants, but we decided to go here for my daughter's baptism party because it was close, formalish and most people like it. I was so impressed with the service! We had reservations and were seated promptly on time. The waiters were awesome! My food was better than expected as well- I got the mixed grill.

Came across possibly the best waitress ever: all the attributes that made the evening worthwhile. Food was great, as there were new items on the menu. Their spicy red sauce is tough to beat. Whole wheat and gluten free pasta were among our needs; both were available.

  • Moriah S.

Delicious food and I love the salad that you get!! The only thing wrong with it is you will almost always have to wait even though when you are seated you can see a ton of different tables open. Unfortunately you can't do call ahead or reservations! But the food is definitely worth the wait.

I have had good and bad experiences at this location. Food is always good. If not they are willing to make it right. This last visit my fiance and I sat in the bar and the server didn't seem to be interested in being there. I understand having a long day at work, but you work for tips. He was polite but didn't make my experience a great one.

I am giving this 3 stars ONLY because this particular location did not live up to my expectations. The Olive Garden restaurants in Fort Collins and Westminster are so much better than this one. My favorite soup--zuppa toscana-- tasted "off," and it was runny. Where's the fresh kale? Where's the chunks of potato and sausage? It's weird because the OG in Boulder was the same way when I ate there--- everything tasted funky in comparison to the two "better" locations listed above. Those two locations get 5 stars from me! I love their alfredo sauce--heart attack on a plate never tasted so good. Zuppa Toscana is the best soup ever created, and one thing to try is ordering a boat of alfredo sauce to dip your breadsticks in! If you like mushrooms, the portabella-stuffed ravioli is to die for. I'll always love OG, even if they are a chain.

Dinner at this Olive Garden location on Friday night; relaxing and good staff! They were very free with the wine samples until we settled on a bottle. I had the tilapia, which left a lot to be desired... should have stuck with the steak gorgonzola for an entree. Tilapia is a delicate whitefish and should br cooked in a way that flavor of some other type is imparted to the fish (like the tilapia with jalapeno cream sauce at another italian restaurant chain). The parmesan xcrust was boring and almost tasteless. My dauflgter and her husband both had the steak gorgonzola and it had great flavor, though the beef medallions were more like silver dollar thin and there we're only four on each plate. The real problem came with dessert, whuich we took home... I had the lemon cream cake, which was listed on the board as a nightly special, though the price or portion weren't any different than what was on the menu. When I tasted my dessert that evening it had a very distinct flavor of celery as it the cake had been stored in the cooler next to a box of celery. Since I didn't pay for dinner, I mentioned the faux pas once the dessert to my daughter and she called the restaurant on Monday... the manager wasn't apologetic at all; he simply told her she should have called no later on Saturday and he wasn't going to do anything to accommodate the terrible dessert experience. Though the staff would get 4 stars for their friendliness and service, the manager wouldn't even get half a star:-(

We thought we were going to have to wait a long time to be seated but we got in in under 5 minutes. It was 5pm. The establishment was clean (including the bathrooms) . Our waiter was Jeremy V. He was right on top of everything. Very efficient. Very pleasant. We were never without something to drink. He made sure we had enough salad and bread sticks. The food came out fast and was exactly what we ordered. Everything was cooked properly. We were greeted by the supervisor too and both she and the waiter made certain that we enjoyed our food. The waiter even asked us if we wanted some drinks to go (We were drinking brewed iced tea). And, he didn't force dessert down or throat. Overall excellent dining experience. We will be sure to come back again.

So... It's been maybe 4 years since I've been to an Olive Garden. I won't be going again. We waited 50 minutes to get in to enjoy dry breadsticks, dressing doused salad and chicken so rubbery I think Jordan could ball with it. How did this place get so bad? I have fond memories as a kid, what went wrong. As I write this on the porcelain king for the second day in a row post OG Chicken and Shrimp I beg you to spare your body, wallet and sanity the punishment.

They need a 0-star option. Got dragged here for someones birthday. 20 minutes to get alcohol after ordered. Food was inedible, my friend couldnt eat His chicken parm, it was literally rubber. He asked the aerver if it was chicken "oh yea ive seen it like that before". I mean who the f*** says that? We thought it was a piece of plastic or something. Manager offered to give him another piece of chicken and wasnt apologetic at all. How in the hell is this chain still in business. Its pretty hard to mess up itallian food, somehow they manage to completely destroy it. Maybe americans are just so numb and used to crap food that they dont care. Thankfully i didnt have to pay, because i refuse to spend a dime of my money at this place. Go to a local mom and pop Italian place and you will get 10x better foid at less cost and way better service. Hope this chain goes bankrupt.

Went on Sunday evening at approximately 6:00 p.m. to celebrate our anniversary. Had no real wait even though it seemed busy. Service was adequate even though the waitress forgot a couple things. Ordered the sampler platter with calamari, raviolis and stuffed mushrooms. Thankfully the calamari was not over cooked as sometimes can be the case. My wife liked the mushrooms with chopped clams. I thought the raviolis were a bit over cooked but edible. She ordered the seasoned salmon and I ordered the stuffed chicken Marsala. What it was stuffed with I couldn't tell. Though tender and moist the chicken lacked flavor and obviously wasn't seasoned. The bread sticks were much harder than I have had before and usually we would have gotten a refill but had no desire after two sticks. My wife's salmon was cooked very well done which would not have pleased me but she didn't mind. The only real negative to the night's celebration was a screaming child that carried on for over thirty minutes The parents had no consideration for other patrons and the staff obviously wasn't going to say anything to them. Hence only three stars which my wife and I feel is generous.

What a joke of a restaurant. My Mother in law and I booked this restaurant over 6 months ago for my wedding rehearsal dinner. Management said everything was confirmed. including menu and wine. Well when we showed up with the 26 guests from the wedding party , the host was rude and said we don't have a reservation. So we had to wait for 15 minutes to be sat. Well it got worst from there. They put us at multiple tables and left us there. When a waiter decided to take our drink order, he left half the table with out even ordering. When we got our food. 3 of us didn't get our plates till after everyone was eating. Plus there was shell in my pasta. I will never recommend this place or ever eat here again. I've never been so embarrassed in my life.

This was just like any other Olive Garden, the food isn't really my thing, I don't think it's as fabulous as other people do but we had gift cards so we landed here for dinner. The waitstaff is nice and the place is clean and updated. The wait times here can be around an hour on any given night, so try to make reservations or something. I always get the Alfredo and it's pretty good, it is creamy and garlicky too. The bread sticks are good enough to fill up on. They usually have good deals, last week the deal (that we missed) was that they would give you an entire extra entree to take home with you for leftovers. If you like Olive Garden, you'll love it.

Visited for a quick lunch celebration on a very tight schedule. Had a great understanding waitress that had more than her share of tables and she was all over the place. Food was great but I must say that the service was awesome. Rock star staff for the holidays yesterday at this location!

I'm typically not a huge fan of restaurant chains but Olive Garden in Thornton is the exception. I've been to other Olive Garden locations with varying levels of service but somehow the one in Thornton is consistent in terms of service and quality of food. Olive Garden bread and the all you can eat salad is always a plus. They have changed their menu recently so old favorites (from 5+ years ago) are gone. However, it does mean trying a lot of new items for a new favorite. They offer a new "lighter Italian fare" which is welcomed for those of us concerned with the sheer calories of Italian food. I had the Garlic Rosemary Chicken and it was pretty good and generous with portions (there is enough for a left over lunch meal). It you want a chain for Italian food, this Olive Garden is a good choice.

Best Olive Garden I've ever been too!(& we love OG!) Every single staff members was friendly and attentive. The manager (female, longer brown hair ) was great as she told us about the new menu and got my BF's steak cooked the way he liked it. Our server was Ashley R. She was personable and always had a smile. I'm so glad this location is so close to my house!

Normally I choose to not frequent the "big chain" restaurants. The food is always mediocre, typically not locally sourced and can be hit or miss on the quality. Tonight we went to Olive Garden as we had some gift cards from last year. To start we got the smoked mozzarella appetizer. While the cheese itself was good (how can you mess up melted cheese) the "crostini's" they served were cold and had absolutely no crunch or flavor at all. We sent it back and they did remove it from our bill. The soup and breadsticks were by far the highlight of the meal. I got the Pasta y Fagioli, which could have been from a mix, but it was still tasty. The meal came out and it was just okay. My Marsala chicken was a little too salty and my wife's baked ziti needed more salt added. Would I pay to go here again? Probably not. Would I go here for free again? Maybe...

Most definitely one of the better chain restaurants of this type the braised short rib pasta that has been on special is excellent by the way the salad is always stellar and nice glass of Chianti makes it all fit together very nicely

The restaurant is clean, the staff is polite, the decor is nice, the food is decent Italian. All in all, it's a pretty average place. Their unlimited soup/salad/bread sticks combo is your best bet, though I can't find much fault with their pasta. Their sauces, however, tend to be greasy and watery no matter what I order. Their desserts are really good, but watch out for portions. Overall, the place is pretty average as far as Italian food goes. Honestly, I prefer Fazoli's bread sticks and they're just down the street. Nice for a dinner date a few times a year, but there are better (and cheaper) options around.

They definitely get busy here, so be prepared to wait if you're coming in on a weekend. I like that Olive Garden has gluten free options, and the gf pasta actually tasted pretty good. I also had some peach sangria and it was delicious! Seriously wish I could make it as good as Olive Garden so I could have it every day :p Service was okay. Not bad but not spectacular. I don't see any reason why we won't be back, though.

We have officially decided that this Olive Garden is off-limits for us. We actually do like eating at the Olive Garden from time to time - it's one of those crowd-pleasers for the kids... or the in-laws... or both, but never again at this one, despite being so close to our house. We've eaten here on several occasions, and each time something has gone wrong. On our most recent visit my husband asked for shrimp and got chicken on his dish; my kids did not get their side of marinara. Not even an apology. And we had to wait for nearly half an hour on a Tuesday night when it was barely 6pm. The line is ALWAYS out the door on weekends and I can never figure out what's in there that's worth waiting for. This Olive Garden reminds us of why we miss living in the city. There are so many bad chains - this being one of them - that we often drive out of our way to go somewhere besides... well the Olive Garden. Maybe it's the lack of quality surrounding it that sets the bar low. The Boulder and Aurora Olive Gardens are both much better.

My partner and I had dinner tonight, both had the Pasta Deal. The whole wheat pasta option was delicious, paired with the Asiago Garlic Alfredo sauce...I was in HEAVEN!!! The bite I had of the corskrew pasta with sausage promodoro was tasteful but not my thing. Had the Watermelon margarita, it was good--watermelon flavor wasn't as strong as I'd hoped but the obvious taste of good liquor made up for it :) Salad and Breadsticks were, as always, excellent. We didn't have to wait for a table since we chose to sit at the bar which was nice. Our server, Marcus, was excellent. Very attentive and timely, without being annoying. Definitely a professional.

The staff at this Olive Garden were friendly, but the food was bad. I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was tough and greasy. Blah! I normally like Olive Garden, but this experience has kind of ruined it for me. I haven't been to an Olive garden since.

Sometimes you feel like soup and salad? All the the meals and specials they offer are usually very good. Most of the time we just go for the soup (Zoupa Toscana) and salad. Sometimes we order an entree, tell them we want to split it and they bring you 2 identical plates with the portion divided in half. I don't know any other restaurant that will do that for you. Difinetly not Maggiano's or Macaroni Grill but a little less expensive. Maggiano's and Macaroni Grill are equally good in their own way. Everyone has their specialty items and cooking methods as well, thats called variety. I've tried Fazoli's TWICE, believe it not!

I didn't have intentions of writing a review for Olive Garden, but decided to after the experience we had last night. It was awesome! The waitress (I can't remember her name, unfortunately) was very nice. We had a baby with us and she was very careful with him, she knew it wouldn't be good for him to be in the aisle (and she let us know) and she was very aware of where he was when carrying hot plates (she didnt reach in front of him, ever). So right away I was very happy with her. The owner was also very nice, he's very genuine. For dinner my husband and I both got the new Soffatellis. He got beef and I got chicken. They were both very good. The Soffatellis were stuffed with several cheeses, and had a peppery taste to it. I hope this item stays on the menu, because it ties with my favorite dish (stuffed chicken marsala). The salad was exceptionally good this time as well, as were the breadsticks. They have great drinks here as well. If you want a mixed drink, I recommend the Venetian Sunset. I had it for my birthday two years ago and loved it. We also tried a sample of wine (either a Moscati or Moscato?) that was delicious! It was considered a dessert wine, but not too sweet and not too thick or syrupy, with a few bubbles. I'll have to go back and ask them what it was because it was delicious. We really enjoyed our evening overall. Don't come here expecting traditional Italian food like your grandmother used to make. But for a good meal and friendly service I will think of this location. I've been to several locations in Colorado and this is the best so far.

Olive Garden is average at it's best and the steak and more expensive dishes aren't worth it. You might as well spend the time and go to Maggiano's if you're going to pay the same...My thought is the taste is the same as Fazoli's across the street and you at least feel like you got what you paid for.

is it just me or has olive garden's overall quality gone down substantially over the last decade? i find myself returning a couple times a year because there's usually one conveniently located and the prices are reasonable. but the whole vibe is different now. lately when i think of olive garden i think of: ice berg lettuce.. bland sauce.. people in their flea market attire (no offense, but it's like any possible dress code has diminished as well).. and waiting ages for "cracked pepper" to arrive to the table after requesting it from the wait staff (what's up with that? shouldn't cracked pepper just be a given? why must they journey to morocco and back to find some?). i was there the other day and upon leaving, the kind greeter/ hostess lady at the door asked me how my meal was. i smiled and replied with, "filling." i just couldn't get myself to say "great" or "tasty" .. indeed, my tummy was full, but my meal was honestly on the uninspiring and blasé side. no complaints about the customer service. they seem to be on top of it. almost too much so. four minutes into a conversation and there they are again asking to refill something. sad times. i used to love olive garden. well at least they still use cloth napkins.

    (3)
  • Dan E.

Maybe...

Came across possibly the best waitress ever: all the attributes that made the evening worthwhile. Food was great, as there were new items on the menu. Their spicy red sauce is tough to beat. Whole wheat and gluten free pasta were among our needs; both were available.

is it just me or has olive garden's overall quality gone down substantially over the last decade? i find myself returning a couple times a year because there's usually one conveniently located and the prices are reasonable. but the whole vibe is different now. lately when i think of olive garden i think of: ice berg lettuce.. bland sauce.. people in their flea market attire (no offense, but it's like any possible dress code has diminished as well).. and waiting ages for "cracked pepper" to arrive to the table after requesting it from the wait staff (what's up with that? shouldn't cracked pepper just be a given? why must they journey to morocco and back to find some?). i was there the other day and upon leaving, the kind greeter/ hostess lady at the door asked me how my meal was. i smiled and replied with, "filling." i just couldn't get myself to say "great" or "tasty" .. indeed, my tummy was full, but my meal was honestly on the uninspiring and blasé side. no complaints about the customer service. they seem to be on top of it. almost too much so. four minutes into a conversation and there they are again asking to refill something. sad times. i used to love olive garden. well at least they still use cloth napkins. 2.5

I am not kidding we had a young lady by the name of Heather helping us and she was fantastic~!

I am not a fan of chain restaurants, but we decided to go here for my daughter's baptism party because it was close, formalish and most people like it. I was so impressed with the service! We had reservations and were seated promptly on time. The waiters were awesome! My food was better than expected as well- I got the mixed grill.

Great service. Easy to find location for folks traveling through. Consistently good food. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Good wine list. Nice to have a known quantity when in unfamiliar territory. Thank you, Tony! A great waiter!! Oh, and I recommend the tilapia shrimp dish. Excellent!

Everything was solid. However, the bartender checked my i.d. So he should know my name isn't Buddy. Once or twice is cool but everytime and it tends to get repetitive.

The staff at this Olive Garden were friendly, but the food was bad. I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was tough and greasy. Blah! I normally like Olive Garden, but this experience has kind of ruined it for me. I haven't been to an Olive garden since.

This is what it is... Olive Garden. The staff here are kind and professional. I've never been disappointed. I could not give more than three stars due to the fact that it's a large chain restaurant and I would rather support Ma & Pa unique joints.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
