Last night was the first time I had been to Lake Avenue Inn. I had a great time. Went to hang out with my best friend and to see her friend play in the live band. The food was so yummy and it came out fast. The drinks were great. The happy hour was great 2 for 1. That's a great deal. They have a back patio with tables and it was nice to go outside and get some fresh air. Had a great time and can't wait to go back.

My husband and I have stopped in here from time to time on a Friday night and sometimes during a football game or two. This is a special little neighborhood bar, and they have live music most weekend nights. What makes the Lake Avenue Inn stand out is the service. As others have mentioned, everyone is really friendly and even on extremely busy nights, you get quick service. Andrea, who works behind the bar on Fridays, is one of the best bartenders in the Denver area by far. She is always quick to come over and say hi, see how you are doing, and get your drink quickly even on the most busiest of nights. Nice local crowd and fun bands. Happy Hour on Fridays is from 3-8 pm with buy one get one drafts and wells. Great time all around.

It's pretty dirty and the whole place smells like a toilet but I always have fun because they have great bands and cheap drinks! It is a place that you will have a good time if you don't expect much.

Have been here a few times as it is nearby a family members home but our last visit made me rethink ever going back again. I have been to bars before, ran up many of tabs but this time, we were in a larger group. I do not think the waitress' we had necessarily did the tallying of the tab correctly. Anyways, the band that played this particular night not so good. After receiving our tab I inquired about getting a breakdown as it seemed some of the buckets of beer may have ended up on our bill instead of others, the waitress was rude and though I am sure they deal with this kinda thing all the time there could've been a more accommodating response considering the size of our tab. Don't plan on going back anytime soon. I have frequented bars where when such things occur they deduct off your tab or offer you a drink or two coupon to come back and try again, nothing like this was attempted with our group. All of us were turned off by this experience. It is a dive bar, biker kinda place, I am ok with that but respect your patrons especially if you want them to return.

I recently moved into the area and after a few weeks had to check this place out. Everytime I've gone it has been a good time. Cheap beer, friendly locals and good music on the weekends when they have live bands.

If you are looking for a dive bar in the Eastlake area...you've found your place. The first tip off is the sign threatening people who fight that they prosecute...a perfect way to set the ambiance. The trough urinal in the mens room is another nice touch... Service, though, was friendly and quick with a refill...which is great for those of us with a thirst. That said, the bar was sticky, and the overall cleanliness of the place won't win awards, for those who care about such things. It's a neighborhood bar and your expectations should be set as such...with those in mind, it's ok...

It's a dive bar. Friendly staff and friendly people. I'd recommend this place, so long as you realize it's a genuine dive :) The food is surprisingly good too....I've had a couple burgers there.

It's a total old school neighborhood dive bar off the beaten path. Absolutely no frills, just the way a dive bar should be.

I can ride my bike here! They serve fairly decent food. The tacos on Tuesday are killer and only $1 each. The burger and fries are great quality. Coors Light and Bud Light are cheap. Sam Adams draws are $4.50. The ladies behind the bar are very friendly and are willing to change the TV to hockey when you ask which is a HUGE plus!

We love this place!! We can walk to it! The drink specials are great, the staff is quick to get to know you. It is a DIVE Bar so if you want something posh and hip, this is not the place for you! But if you want a place that can cook some killer food for the regulars and that has a horse tie up out front that you have found it!!! They have live music on some nights and a DJ on others. It is all around a laid back fun time!!

My husband was attacked at this bar for being a veteran. He has a traumatic brain injury and five guys were hitting him and kicking him in the head. Security was no where to seen and there are no cameras. After filling a police report the officers told us they are called to this bar often. I wish that someone would have posted a review like this to warn others. We would not have been there.

This place is a hidden gem, it's like the TV bar cheers in my neighborhood. I've been coming here for 8+ years and enjoy every night. Thank you for your good old home town hospitality.
