Probably the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten! I ordered chicken enchaladas and the chicken tasted like it was from a can. We also ordered queso dip that tasted like warmed up cheese wiz. Besides the horrible food, the wait staff was pretty unprofessional. We walked by a table of servers counting out their tips by laying stacks of money all over their table...in the middle of the dining room. There was also a busser rolling silverware at a table also situated in the middle of the dining room. For the price of their food I would definitely expect more.

My family and I have eaten here more times than I could say. We have always had prompt, friendly service and delicious food. There are great options for everyones tastes and even my picky kids devour their plates of food. I love their fajitas, green chili and rice. But we have tried so many things and it has all been super yummy. We have eaten at several other 3 margaritas over the years and this is our favorite:)

I often wonder why I am busting my ass everyday at [large computer corporation] trying to make a dolla when all I really have to do is open an unoriginal mexican restaurant that serves everything out of a jar, can, box or truck and make the same living. Forget Congress getting a budget passed, the real legislation this country needs is mexican restaurant regulations for fresh salsa. "Thou Shalt Not Open Mexican Restaurant Without Freshly Made Salsa". That's my vote for the quote on the $27 bill. So as I see it, you can spend $30 and eat here, or get a frozen La Tapatia dinner at the store for $3.50. Your choice. Enjoy! p.s. The waitress kept calling me Amigo. I mean I know I have some sick guns (pfft, sha rah) ...but it's AmigA.

It tastes like pennies!! Why is my left arm not moving...fblahggetiydah. More grease please! It actually hurts my heart to eat this, yet I keep trying to give them another chance. Yes you may have to travel a bit farther but you can do so much better than this chain.

Again I tried to order from this restaurant and they can not get anything correct. After waiting for them to fix my order to the three things I actually ordered I asked for a discount. They were very rude and took $2 off my bill that was almost $40. Not only are they extremely rude and incompetent but they could care less if your orders are wrong. They were so upset that I sent my burrito back for being wrong, the second time it was a quarter of the size maybe, just as a way to spite me for not eating their mistakes! DO NOT EAT HERE EVER!

Since Hawaii doesn't have much choices of Mexican restaurants, our initial reaction was wow, this is awesome. After the glow ended, reality hit and it's not that bad. The chips and salsa was pretty good, decently spicy, homemade. My wife had the chicken mole, it was too sweet, or is it supposed to be that way? Had the seafood enchiladas, it was decent but too much cream and they used too much of the fake crab.

We go here all the time. The food is delicious and the people are super friendly and do their job well. I don't recommend going on Sundays though. That mariachi music is excellent but WAY too loud.

Seriously the worst 3 Margaritas I have ever been too the hostess are dumb they can't even do their job right the waiters take forever to even come greet you and they forget about you a lot. I ended up tipping the busser who attended us more than the waitress I left her $0 aww booo...

It doesn't stand out as it has normal mexican food. The margaritas are great though. I'm not a mexican food fan though either so I'm not the best to talk about this.

Always order soups to go. They seem fresh and steaming hot at all times. Also throw in chips and salsa. Great place!!

Liked- The food tasted good and the portions were huge! Service was fast n good.. Did not like -I was not a fan of their tortilla chips n salsa..it was not too fresh, may be because we went in for a late dinner. It was a little too noisy and loud for my liking

This is the only 3 margaritas with a good chef. All other locations are so full of grease and not good food at all. We will only eat at this location. Food is always consistant and great margaritas.

I would give it a 5 star rating but I didn't love the chips and salsa. The food was great though

Typically have great food however this last time I was pretty disappointed. The black beans were dry the rice was under cooked. The chile renello wasnt cooked well and very greasy. Tasted like it sat in the fryer for a half hour in oil

Went Tuesday with folks from WNY and had hot, tastey food, that was not overpriced, about $45.00 per couple. Great service, friendly staff, wonderful menu, and our guests said it was the best mexican food they ever had.

This great restaurant is a family favorite! The portions are large and everything is fresh and so tasty. We have never had bad service and in fact always seem to have stellar waitstaff. Everything we have ordered has been excellent and I really like the atmosphere. It can get a bit noisy but it doesn't bother us. Get there early on a weekend night or you may have a bit of a wait but it's worth it. We have also been to the one in Broomfield and that one is good too, but I prefer the design of the one in Thornton.

I'm not sure why this location gets such mediocre reviews. No, this is not the world's greatest Mexican food. But, the service and atmosphere make up for it by miles. This location (yes, it's a chain) is located at 104th and York - an area of Thornton which is really lacking in sit down, family restaurants (yes ,we have Papa Mazzotti's at 104th and Colorado, but that's about it.) No, this is not going to be 'traditional' Mexican cooking. But, the menu is a mile long, and they don't balk at special requests. My family of four never has a hard time finding something to please everyone - even the picky seven year old! And, they'll substitute sides without complaint. Not big on refried beans? Ask nicely, and you can get extra rice or black beans. My iced tea glass never stays empty here; they're on top of every table faster than you can realize you need a refill. Same with chips and salsa, and their salsa is actually really good! The 2 for 1 happy hour is amazing, too - though, 2 margaritas is plenty for me on an average night! :D They have plenty of parking and while the patio is small, it's a comfortable place for a midsummer meal. Please give this location a chance if you haven't; you might be pleasantly surprised.

Not the most authentic Mexican food you can get your hands on. There's an American twist to it. I got the tamales and that was disappointing since I can make some pretty mean tamales. My partner got the tacos el carbon and that was definelty a 'what is this' moment. Definelty not the type of tacos we were thinking of. The tacos were fried so that was kind of gross and eliminated the authentic meaning of tacos el carbon that you would get from mexico city downtown. I fell in love with my margarita though, so that was at least enjoyable.

This is the best 3 Margaritas restaurant of all the locations. The service and food is very good and consistent. They have a great selection on their menu and the prices are fair. Sad they got rid of Dos Equis on tap :( I really love their food and the mushroom mix you get by request with your chiips is to die for.

One of our favorite places to go locally. Great atmosphere and food. Good salsa and the deluxe burrito with green chili is amazing. Mariachi band on Sundays so stay away if you don't like the noise. Only had one bad experience in the last 5 years and the manager took care of everything right away.

This was my go to place for a quick dinner when I lived in thornton. I was obsessed with their chile rellenos plate (after all it is my favorite Mexican dish in the whole world). Obviously the ones they serve are nowhere near authentic but I do love me some crunchy, smothered, and super cheesy, and oh so greasy chile rellenos once in a while. I always did take out so I can't really comment on atmosphere and other dishes. I do know that ordering to go was fast and easy and super convenient.

Ordered a "Burrito Loco" and three friends had the "Deluxe Burrito". We all thought it was great with no issues. We were seated quickly, attended very well, and the food was out fairly quickly, especially considering this place was jammed packed. It is a little loud, they must of sang happy birthday to almost a dozen people in the little over an hour we were there but I'd think that in itself goes to show this is a good place to take the family. "We'll be back."

Had a cravy craving for a smothered burrito and needed a fix bad on my day off. Had not been to this 3 margs before but saw it had good reviews. I was NOT disappointed at all the food was full of flavor, steaming hot, and just absolutely delish. When we left my wife had to role me to the car .....Man did I get my fix. If u need a fix it's the rt place

I have been to this place plenty of times. Although it can get a bit pricey at times for a large group, there prices compared to the amount per dish that is served is good. The flavor of the food is good as well. It depends on what you order, to see how well it pleases your palette. I recommend that you order a dish you are familiar with to compare the food. The Asada tacos or the chicken enchiladas. Happy hour is 2 for 1. Everyday.

Wow... We have not been here in awhile and it was really great tonight. My fav.... Cazadores Margarita and seafood enchiladas. Also ask for the secret off menu "mushroom salsa". So light and fresh. This is not the heavy lard Mexican food. More like traditional fresh and light food you would find in Mexico. Great live mariachi band and excellent service from Jesus made the experience that much more fun. Thanks for the fun family night!

I have eaten at several 3 Margaritas locations multiple times, including this one several years ago. For the most part, I am a fan of the chain. The food is usually pretty awesome and I usually have no complaints. Unfortunately, I was very unsatisfied with my visit this time. The salsa was bland and the tomatoes tasted like they were starting to turn. They had that "sizzle" to them that turned me off. The queso dip tasted like a bowl of melted velveta with a pickled jalapeno thrown in it. I was disappointed. I ordered the tacos el carbon. They were so greasy and soggy and the meat was over cooked, dry and chewy. It was gross. I didn't finish it. I actually sent it back which is something I rarely do. I exchanged my meal for some chicken fajitas to go. The service was very good. Our waitress did a very good job. However, I did have to flag her down for a water refill. In the defense of the restaurant, the other two people I was with enjoyed their meals, but still agreed that this was not the best 3 Margaritas experience they have had. We all agreed that we probably wouldn't come back to this location. When I got home, I gave the fajitas to my boyfriend. The guac, sour cream, beans, rice and pico were thrown into the same container and were somewhat of a mess when we opened them up. I ate some of it with him and it was OK. The chicken was dry, but the flavor was good. On a side note, the 3 Margaritas in Loveland is FABULOUS! If you find yourself in that area, I recommend it!

The food is decent, standard Americanized Mexican food, but they have just about any combination of meat/tortilla/beans/rice/cheese that you could ask for. Too bad the service was so mediocre. I'm not sure if our waiter didn't speak English or if it was his first day, but we got a lot of blank stares. When he brought out my food, he brought 2 plates as if my friend and I were splitting it, which we weren't. Then after several minutes, we realized he wasn't bringing hers, so she had to ask again. He seemed to have no idea that she'd ordered before. On the plus side, we didn't get any crap for sitting there for a couple of hours chatting, and I got my beans and rice fix for the week. Another server ran our check, which was good - I can't imagine explaining splitting it to the first guy.

Three Margaritas on 104th -- my favorite--#9 combo. No---it may not be the BEST but it is good food, simply prepared. The service and friendly atmosphere are wonderful. It isn't fancy. It isn't gourmet---but there's variety. I get a consistently good meal adn the prices are reasonable.

Had Arroz con Pollo lunch after church today. A bed of Spanish rice with pieces of chicken, onions, tomato, garlic, mushrooms fried in a skillet, and avocado on the side of the plate.with 4 hot sm tortillas. I really enjoyed it, but it was more then I could eat in one setting, so I brought dinner home with me... Took a while before I was able to order my meal, but the waiter was nice and friendly...

Recently on a Friday evening we did not feel like going out to dinner so I ordered some chips and salsa and a couple of burrito's. One was a Burrito Loco and the other was a Burrito Colorado. They come in a foil container with a cardboard lid, which one could easily identify the contents of said container with a pencil or pen, but did they do that, NO! We had to cut them open to find out which was which. I called the restaurant and asked if it was common for them to send out food without identifing the contents, the girl that answered the phone could not understand what I was asking so she said "Hold on for Manager". After holding for a little over 5 minutes the manager answers the phone and I asked her why they could not mark the lid with whats inside and she said, "Have A Nice Day", I asked again, why can't you mark the lid with whats inside, again, "Have A Nice Day", CLICK, hangs up! I have eaten at 4 of the Three Margarita restaurants, Broomfield, Brighton, Monument and 104th and Steel and can tell you, I will never step foot inside that restaurant on 104th ever again! The only good Three Margarita's is in Broomfield.

I tried this location after quitting the other on 120th. This is even worse. The staff treats you so blase, you wonder if they are all in a bad mood. Then you slowly come to realize that you just are not in their club. Get ready for horrible service, with no smile, and a check thrust into your face before you can finish your last bite. The food is decent, but so not worth the treatment. In fact, this is my official boycott. With so many places to dine in Denver, there is absolutely no reason why I should spend my hard earned money on a place run by jerks.

I don't know what the huge problem is here. Is it the best mexican in the world? No, not at all. You could certainly do worse though. The service while I was there was good, and very friendly. Multiple people stopped by the table to offer drink refills and more chips. Like I said, the food didn't blow my doors off, but it's decent for the price and there's lots of options. It does seem like a chain Mexican place, what with the gaudy decor and all. Oh, and the last thing, the chips and salsa are pretty solid. The salsa definitely has a different taste to it, but it's good. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but its less than a block from my house so I might find myself here a few times a year. For all the negativity it gets, I don't know where it comes from. It's not the greatest, but 99% of food out there isn't.

I am so happy I live down the street from this place. ALWAYS have had FANTASTIC SERVICE and great food. I am a chili rellano LOVER and this place ranks in my top 10 for rellanos. Again, I have always LOVED the service, The servers are very nice and quick. I have been here at least a dozen times over the years and have never had any issue with food or service. Can't wait to go again. Have to try it out, the food is good! And they have a patio...YAY!

I have driven by here 1231345465154 and 8 times, so we finally went in for a meal. The dining room is HUGE.(AND NOISY!) I liked the painted chairs at the tables. We found the staff to be very friendly, and our waitperson was a sweetheart. I ordered the side enchilada for 6.50...the full plate was 11-12 dollars, and included rice and beans. Mine was as large as my husbands burrito, and had sour cream, guac, lettuce and cheese. I couldn't finish it....so I am happy I did not order a full entree. I was happy that it contained traditional-ish shredded chicken instead of chunks or grilled chicken, so it was fork tender. It just lacked some flavor. I dumped the whole bowl of spicy salsa from the chips and salsa over the huge enchilada. I do not think 3 Margaritas deserves really bad reviews, I know that I prefer small "Mom and Pop" hole in the wall Mexican food because they do not make it in mass quantities so there is more flavor. I am glad we tried them, but I do not think they would be my first pick for Mexican food.

Love this place. The Burrito Colorado is by far my favorite. Have tried the Ensalada Tapatia, Expresso Burrito, Mole and Sopapillas. All great. Happy hour is awesome to have...especially when you live across the street. Service is hit and miss, though generally good. I must say, this stuff is the closest to the mexican food of south texas I've run into so far here in colorado. Make a stop and plan on staring at the menu for a while...it's huge.

I was pleasantly surprised tonight! My husband and I were craving mexican food, and this is one of the closer ones to our house, so we decided to give it a try. We sat in the bar in order to watch football, and there were plenty of flat screen TVs to view from every angle. The first thing I noticed was the extensive menu. Waaaay more choices than most of the mexican restaurants we go to. The complimentary salsa was great (nice and spicy!)... so good we decided not to order guacamole or queso, even though it was only $4.95 (happy hour price). Surprisingly, it was happy hour (at 5:30 on a Saturday night) so all drinks were 2 for 1. My husband ordered a combo plate and I had a chicken dish with peppers, mushrooms, cheese and rice. My entree was awesome (one of the best mexican dishes I've had) and my husband's was pretty good. His chile relleno tasted a little greasy, but that was our only complaint. The entree prices were a little higher than I expected ($11.50 each), but the inexpensive drinks more than made up for it. The service was great, the food was great, and the price was right (not many restaurants around that have happy hour on weekends). We'll definitely go back.

The food is not great, but not bad. Definetely would not be my first choice for Mexican food. I like how the restaurant was set up except for the small row of tables right behind the bar stools. It was cramped and uncomfortable. Also we were here on a Friday and it was extremely loud. The staff was nice and I liked how the management stayed on the floor and was always checking on the customers. I may be back if I am in need of a Mexican Food fix, but if I have the time I will drive further for better food. Also not crazy about the combination plates and thought it was a little overpriced.

I have been here twice and the first time I got the Chicken Mole. It was awesome. Today I got the Shredded beef burrito and was spiced perfect. Rice and beans were actually really good too. Service is quick and polite. Green chili is more red than green but still has a good flavor.

This is the 2nd time I've been here and both times, the service has been great! The food is great as well and decently priced. I like the fact that they are open fairly late. Love their 2 for 1 happy hour!

Similar to other 3 Margaritas locations. As with all of them, you have to know what to get. My recommendations would be the the Campignon Burrito (if you want healthy), the Colorado Burrito (if you want something less healthy), and the Carne Asada (if you want a combo platter). The portions are huge here so if you have a smaller appetite stay away from the Large Combinations, which come out on a plate that takes up most of the table. If you have a large appetite I would recomment the "New York Steak and Mas" which is an 8 oz. new york strip steak with a tamale or chile relleno on the side, served with rice and beans. Overall, not the best mexican food in the world, but definitely better than some other places out there (ie. Armadillo!)

Pureed baby food probably taste better than this! This restaurant just opened up in the middle of nowhere in Thornton. OK I take that back, the restaurant is smack in the middle of a sea of cookie cutter homes. Ahh.... the 'burbs. Frankly I would be stark raving mad if such a brightly lit business opened in my 'hood. But lets get to important stuff.... the food. I'm convinced my quesadilla was made in the microwave! What the? I tasted some of the other food that my party ordered. Overall? The food was bland, and wasn't even salted right. Seriously, the stuff tasted like baby food. What a let down for Mexican food. The ambiance is pretty nice but that doesn't make up for the tasteless food. If you are in this area, I highly recommend you skip this place and go to the Chipotle 5 minutes away.

In one word: Meh. 3 Margaritas is ok - not the most mind-blowing Mexican food I've ever had. Their margaritas were nothing special, their food was ok. Our waitress looked like she'd rather be anywhere else rather than take our order. If you really, really, really have to have mexican food, and there's nothing else near you, go ahead and make it to 3 Margaritas, but otherwise, don't bother.

the bar service was good. the house margarita(made with sauza) was good (though not on their happy hour prices). the hh nachos were good. chips got a little soft after a while, but i just put the stuff on the chips that came with the chips and salsa and it was fine. bartender made me feel like i was back in mexico. i think they have a designated chip/salsa server.

Went in on Tuesday evening around 5:30, host stated it would be about 20 minutes to be sat. There were about 9 parties waiting and the dining room was not even 50% full, we wanted the patio and there was only one party sat outside. When I asked the host why the wait she stated they were just letting the kitchen to get caught up. No offer to seat so we could get a cocktail and some chips, we waited about 10 minutes and left. Very poor management of this restaurant.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
