This is our second time eating here and we will be back. It's in a strip mall and isn't the most beautiful venue but it's quaint interior with metal cacti lanterns and paintings of Mexican characters that make you smile is a fun lunchtime setting. The menu is varied with quite a few vegetarian options that can easily be turned vegan and everything was made to order and relatively quick coming to us. It's a decent go-to.

We were driving back to Denver so stopped to have lunch. The lunch menu is reasonable, the food pretty good and the service excellent. You get a pitcher of water and chips with a spicy salsa as soon as you sit down. We were going to go to the Sunshine Cafe but the wait was going to be too long for our liking; I think we made the right choice

Not bad, not great. Typical Mexican fare. Large portions. Dining room seems a little dirty and part of it seems to be used for storage. Food was good but not exceptional.

Below average food. There was nothing about the entire dinner that was good! Actully, the salsa was good, but that's it. The food did not even look appetizing when served. There must be better Mexican food in Dillon!

The food is great and the photos on the wall of the old dude in Mexico are very cool. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times and will go again tomorrow after skiing. Chips and Salsa are free and very good.

Honestly this place is terrible. I felt like leaving as soon as I saw the food. The bill for 2 people was $23. That includes one soft drink and a water. The Taco Bell dollar menu has more flavor, better composed dishes, and certainly better value. Save yourself some time, go to 7-eleven and get a taquito.

I've eaten here 2-3 times over the past few years while passing through town. The restaurant is decorated nicely and generally clean. The food is typical tex mex fare targeted for gringos. Service is decent enough. I never drink while there because I am always driving, but they seem to have a pretty nice looking bar with a bunch of tequila selections. Not a whole lot going on in Silverthorne food wise. If you are wanting Mexican food, this restaurant will do. It has it's place. By the way, the map shown on this page incorrectly shows the restaurant on the north side of the interstate. It's actually on the south side about a block south of I-70 on the west side of the road in a strip center with Office Max, Subway, JJ Chinese, Steaming Bean Coffee Shop, etc.

After a long morning of driving through mountain passes we arrived in Silverthorne hungrily looking for a place to eat. As a touristy ski town, I can't say we had an abundance of unique choices, but we decided Mexican food sounded good. It was early in the afternoon, so the restaurant was pretty quiet. I ordered the "Fiesta Jalisco Enchilada", and we of course enjoyed the standard chips and salsa while waiting for our food. Positives: -Menu fits the standard Mexican sit-down restaurant. Chips and salsa were very good. -Definitely one of the better choices in a ski town full of chain restaurants. -Excellent service with very friendly servers. Negatives: -Located in a strip mall location. Despite that, the inside of the restaurant was nice enough. -The food and menu was just a little too average. Nothing terrible, just nothing that fantastic. This was a decent stop in Silverthorne - and it's certainly a better option than some of the chain places in the area. Is it the best Mexican food ever? Hardly. But it's average, and it will certainly be decent enough for most.

The location needs updating on yelp.. But I ate here and it was the worse "Mexican" food I have ever had... I ordered the fiesta specialty enchiladas and chili relleno w/a 3rd regular beef enchilada.... It was some of the worse food I have ever ingested.... Pretty sure they were just cooking up TV dinners in back and neatly plating em.... Go to the local grocery store and pick up some $1 Mexican TV dinners at least you will know they were cooked per the instructions.

Post skiing hunger setting in? Visit their Silverthorne or Breck locations. I think the menus are the same, the food is great, big portions and affordable. I enjoy the BURRITO LOCO AZADO (Crazy Donkey)- Flour tortilla filled with thin sliced skirt steak, rice, refried or Rancho beans, green onions, and tomatoes - topped with melted cheese, salsa especial, salsa ranchera, sour cream and guacamole. It's huge and filling and around $12. Check out my picture.

Save your $$ and avoid this place like the plague. Located in cheezy shopping mall but it was late and we were hungry for Mexican food so in we went. The menu make you dizzy. We ordered specialty Margheritas at $8.75 and got what tasted like a cheap mix out of a bottle. The seafood enchiladas I ordered had a sorry excuse for fresh crab and the shrimp were like those tiny ones you buy in a can. At least I ate the chile relleno because I was starving. I consider myself a gourmet cook and was sorry I did not walk out!

Beautiful mountain town. Obviously high end community this place did not meet expectations. Service was ok, kind of dry, food was just ok, kind of bland, and prices are high. Margarita was ok but I'll prepared. If in this area I would try something else.

This place is actually cool. They are there to serve you and don't act to cool .. Like at some places ... Where it's almost the customer is treated like they are bothering the person by showing up,, really why did you even come to work? but these people actually come to work to do a good job! The food is consistent and good... best things to order our carne Asada plate (it's super big) and extra crispy chimichanga with chorizo

Stopped by for dinner with a friend- we usually go to Hacienda Real in Frisco, but decided to switch it up and try somewhere new. After being seated in a nearly empty restaurant, it took our server over ten minutes to even ask if we wanted something to drink. I ordered shredded beef tacos and a margarita. The margarita was alright, but my tacos came swimming in oily water and with clumps of moldy cheese on top. Five minutes later, when I finally got the server's attention to show her the mold, she took the plate back and brought back new tacos sans cheese (still swimming in oily water). They were mediocre at best. Not impressed and I won't be back.

Who would've thunk it? Finding fantastic Mexican food in the heart of outlet mall hell and tourista crossroads. After a long drive from Montrose, and still not home in Greeley, it was time for lunch and I was not disappointed. Far, far from it ~!!~ You'll spend only a few bucks less for a combo meal at any nearby fastfood joint, but why would you? with this little gem ready to fill you up .... I had a pork enchilada and soft chili relleno, the usual rice & beans, some not so usual cabbage/carrot slaw, damn good chips and salsa that would sneak up on the back of your tongue just to remind you who's the boss. Staff was cordial, attentive & had a handle on the very busy lunch crowd. Honestly, I can't find Mexican food this good in Greeley, but maybe that speaks more to my hometown? I'm headed back here next time I wander off to Black Hawk. Muchas gracias!

If you are looking for average Mexican food then this is the place. The guacamole appeared to be out of a can, and not fresh. I had the Carnitas and the steak left much to be desired. Even the margarita was just average. The place is located in a strip mall. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean. I was not too impressed with this place, but keeping with the other reviews of Fiesta Jalisco from other locations this seems to be par for the course. I would probably not come back to this restaurant.

The best Mexican food I have found in Colorado!. Good, fresh authentic Mexican food. If you are like me and are not oroginally from Colorado, but find most Colorado Mexican food offensive, this place is a refreshing break. The flavors are good and fresh great margaritas too!

Reading these reviews I wonder if we ate at the same place. My husband, niece and I happened upon this restaurant while driving home to California. I grew up in Colorado and loved the great Mexican food we had there. Living in Northern California we have no shortage of authentic Mexican food, and a couple of trips south of the border give me some experience of the cuisine. So I can truly say the food here is great. In fact, we gave it a 10 on our scale of 1 to 10, being the best we've had in recent memory. While we ordered from the lunch menu, the chips were thin, hot and crisp, great salsas, and my wet burrito was to die for. I never finish an entire burrito and I enhaled this one. Maybe the mountain air made me more hungry but all of us had the same opinion. This was a delicious meal. I only regret we are not closer to enjoy it more often. But the decor was eclectic but very cozy, even to the great tile in the bathrooms. Very clean, and terrific service with a smile. Not a thing I would change. Can't wait for our next trip down I70 to stop in again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
