I love eating MENUDO and authentic "real deal" Mexican food. One day I craved Menudo and found one small restaurant that has the super yummy delicious Menudo I've ever tasted. My husband ate breakfast burritos with all good stuffs in it and my daughter ate cheese enchiladas. We all agree that this small Mexican restaurant is one of the best food ever!!!

Passing through Pueblo, absolutely famished. Ordered 4 tacos, 2 de pollo y 2 de pescado. Disappointing. The fish was gross and the chicken tacos came with a freakin' hard shell and overloaded with nasty cabbage. I wanted authentic mexican street tacos, but got what I'd imagine they serve at those weird half Taco Bell, half Long John Silver's establishments. Just keep on driving.

Just what I want in a taco joint- cheap, quirky, delicious. And they put french fries in the breakfast burrito. Brilliant.

I'm from CA, so I'm not all about green chile smothered food. This place has quality stuff that they DON'T have to smother in green chile. Got the carne asada burrito, comes packed with meat, guacamole and pico de gallo - no rice or beans. It was awesome. My wife got the chile relleno burrito that did have rice in it and it was really good. The tortillas are hand made and delicious and the horchata is as good as it gets. If you do want something smothered in green chile, theirs is tasty as well. We decided to try the chile cheese fries for the experience, and it was well worth it. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food.

Great little find! Traveling home to Texas we stopped at this little taco shop and we were pleasantly surprised. I had the fish tacos and he had the chicken enchiladas. Both had great flavor, fish was fried would have preferred it grilled bit still good. His chicken was fresh and looked like pulled off the bone not shredded. Nothing fancy but will definitely stop again.

Horchata was great, the California burrito was ok, the chips and guacamole were weird. The guacamole is more toward a purée than chunky and the green color is odd like avocados mixed with sour cream. The taste was not bad but not what I was looking for. The place was quiet when I went. Service was friendly and good. Prices are reasonable. The front was clean. Not a bad taco shop but don't know that I will go back. Might just not have been my thing.

Very Unassuming from the outside. And the inside. But they make a delicious Carne Asada burrito. And the Fish Tacos are delicious. The food is straight and to the point.

As a transplant from CA, I thought I'd never eat good Mexican food once I came to CO. WRONG! My family tried another place two weeks ago and with all the rave reviews, I thought it would be great. Uh, no. I had them put chicken in my quesadilla and it tasted like canned chicken and Velveeta. I can make that home! None of our orders were tasty. (I'll be nice and not mention their name) Today, I had nachos with Carne asada, sour cream and guacamole. My daughter had a California Burrito. We inhaled our food. The restaurant is a hole in the wall, but don't worry, it's all good! I will go out of my way to eat their food again!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
