Down home great atmosphere. I forgot my wallet and the waitress said I could come back later and pay her back. This is a family restaurant that made an awesome impression with that. Food is comfort food. It was good and fresh for this little diner. I had biscuits and gravy which hit the spot.

Great food, great prices, generous portions. When my kids are in town for a visit this is the one place that is an absolute must! Enchidadas Tejanos will not disappoint!

Honestly I can't remember what I ate here. It can't be that bad because I have been back several times. It has the sort of tuna fish/meatloaf type of menu that is basicly American but pretty forgettable. The real reason I love this place is that it is the essence of Pueblo: a sort of faded version of the ethnic melting pot that most American urban areas used to be. Go there for breakfast or lunch and sit at the counter to watch the workers in coveralls or winter coats meet for cofffee and count their change, to see the old guys meet for breakfast and the younger ones try to set up deals, and the local priest to check in on his parishioners, and gran and gramps out for breakfast with the grandkids or the girls from the office for a quick lunch. It's along a street that includes an impressive new public library and many stores dealing in second hand goods, "antiques", old books, and the like. A complete cultural experience would be spending a day of browsing old Pueblo, seeing a couple of historical sights nearby and taking in lunch at the Pantry You can get a tuna sandwich at any sub chain but you can't get the sideshow that you get here.

Always in my top five of places to go in Pueblo. Breakfast is so good. I get "The Bruncho" a stuffed sopaipilla with eggs and bacon and covered with green chili. This would be my choice for last meal

Food was pretty average. Had some good breakfast choices that were not as common such as enchiladas and eggs.

The pantry has good diner food, chicken fried steaks, burgers, some Mexican food of course after all it is pueblo. They also serve and array of pies. I give it three stars because of their hours, they do bot have posted hours and they seem to be open when they feel like it.

Ok. Good service and the locals seem to flock here and it is decent diner food but nothing spectacular. If you are from the midwest you'll feel right at home.

If you're looking for some hometown "comfort food" this is the place to go. It's a little hard to find, no atmosphere, can be pretty noisey, and sometimes a short wait for a table, especially at breakfast, but you'll not leave hungry. Any of the breakfast items smothered with Pueblo green chili are wonderful, or try the biscuits and gravy, or a pancakes sandwich.. You can go back on the diet tomorrow. Prices are reasonable, coffee is a little pricey, but very good.

This is one place of a few that I try to eat at when I am back in Pueblo. I have never had a bad meal here and I only wish they were here in Original Aurora. The only complaint I would have is that they are closed on Sunday. I really enjoy going out for breakfast Sunday mornings. After you have had your meal there are a few shops in the area that are fun to shop in and gives you the chance to walk your meal off. The historic Pueblo Shopping District is just down the hill from there.

This Pueblo staple has been a steady performer for many years. The green Chile is tasty and has large chunks of pork but it is gravy style so keep that in mind. The Huevos Rancheros are good even though they come with hashbrowns instead of home fries. Today was a bad day because my daughter ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was raw! The waitress apologized and so did the owner but she didn't even offer to buy her breakfast. I was disappointed because raw chicken is no small thing. Anyway, it is an OK place that used to be better. Pueblo deserves the old Pantry.

Some folks come out of the pantry some folks go in to the pantry. Who are you? yelp.com/biz_photos/the-… I was in town to celebrate my grandmothers 95th birthday. When I come back to Pueblo I always make a stop at the Pantry. I hadn't been here in a long time (5 years) because its like a thousand miles away. But this particular Saturday morning it was on my way and I was craving a little green chili with my huevos. Wow the pantry hasn't changed much yelp.com/biz_photos/the-… it's still got that old fish on the wall and still attracts a full house for breakfast. First off our server Wendy was freakin Awesome. Quick, polite and spot on even after we overheard another waitress bail and leave her with all the extra load. She kicked ass and handled it like a trooper. The Pantry is lucky to have such a awesome waitress. And I don't think I've had a bad meal here in 30 years. FOOD: Pancakes and a side of BACON yelp.com/biz_photos/the-… Kids French Toast with Scrambled and BACON yelp.com/biz_photos/the-… yelp.com/biz_photos/the-… Huevos Rancheros yelp.com/biz_photos/the-… The food here is good and at a nice price that will not break your bank. FOOD TASTE: Pancakes and a side of BACON ... 13 yo Daughter ate 3/4 of the p-cakes and all the BACON sharing 1/2 a piece with me and it was the best bacon I've had in a long time 4.5 **** Stars Kids French Toast with Scrambled and BACON ... 7 yo daughter got the kids meal French toast deal. The FR toast was swimmin' in so much butter it would have made Paula Deen proud, so I poured some of it off on the others P-cakes. She ate everything and that's a mega sign of approval from her. She said that the BACON was also the best! 4****Stars Huevos Rancheros .... When I come to Pueblo I crave GREEN CHILI! And this breakfast did not disappoint. The two sunny side up eggs smothered in a tasty pork green chili were perfect. The Green chili's flavor commingling with the eggs runny yolk was delish! The hash browns could have been cooked a bit more for my liking. And I ended up getting a side (4pcs) of BACON since my stingy daughters would not share. 4.5***** Stars This is a great place to have breakfast in Pueblo, You will not be disappointed. I'll be back when I return to town for my grandma's 100th birthday.

People in Pueblo love this place. Not sure why. Getting a table is a little awkward. You have to wait until you see one open then take it. The bruncho is awesome. Cinnamon rolls are not homemade and taste like from a gas station. Typical diner coffee, but they keep your cup full. Overall good experience and good food, but there are better places for breakfast in Pueblo.

This is your mom and pop type diner in Pueblo. It's been here for years and it's inexpensive We were directed here by our hotel for breakfast. Blueberry Pancakes: 4 of 5 Egg Whites Scrambled: 4 of 5 Why no 4-star? Because they did not have any fresh fruit! How can a diner not have any fruit? Not even a banana. Never seen this in many diner visits. Guess mom and pop are not into fruit or vendors refuse to deliver fruit to Pueblo for some reason. But the hot open turkey lunch coming to the table next door smelled good. Service: Quick, experienced, and sharp. We may check it out again if back in Pueblo.

Seriously, Pueblo people? This place is greasy spoon food - and not very good at that. Their green chile is disgusting, and everything else tastes fried. Blech. It's not 1950 anymore - time to raise the bar...

    (1)
  • Conor R.

Their breakfast is really good. I always order their breakfast burrito with bacon. It's huge and surprisingly inexpensive for the quantity and quality of food that you get. That is true of all their dishes. This place is a Pueblo favorite. I have yet to be in here when they aren't packed full. Their green chile is really, really good here.

    (5)
  • Joseph P.

Food is super greasy. Also you have better chances of winning the lotto then finding them when they are open. It is so hit or miss when the door will be unlocked. They close the place for the week over the stupidest things. Typical pueblo restaurant. Undependable and greasy food.

First let me start off with saying that it took one hour and twenty five minutes for pancakes. When I received my food my pancakes were burnt and horrible tasting. As I got done with my meal I left a $5 tip on the table and the waitress said to me that's all your leaving. I will never return to this dump and will not give them or there horrible workers business. Save your money and buy a TV dinner it will taste a thousand times better than this.

Ok so when Im back home in Pueblo I come here for 3 things. Chicken fried steak on the breakfast menu. THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE BEST IVE EVER HAD! Even here in Vegas, one of the meccas of food, I cant find one like this! I love it, the white gravy is seriously the best! The club sandwhich! AHHH DELISH! Ive ate many, they will call themselves a club, but arent double deckers! WTF?! This one is really delish! Sometimes the bacon is a lil over done though! The fries here are yummy as well!! The Reuben! AHH ALSO PERFECT! I love the mix of beef and onions and cheese! SOOO GOOD! Never had a bad one! They do have yummy breakfast, some not all! The biscuits and gravy are yummy, but not my fave. Go here for a typical diner style feel! It gets super busy on the weekends!

    (3)
  • Derek T.

The pantry is the best diner in Pueblo hands down. But it is a diner so don't come expecting white glove service or exotic items. The green chili is gravy style and it is so good you'll want to put it on everything. French toast is perfectly done, light and not greasy. Lunch items are also delicious. My only complaint is they are not open on Sunday.

Good food, just didn't like the fact the waitress carried the water glass with her finger in them and the roll silverware under her arm.

Great for breakfast. I have been here a couple of times with my folks for breakfast and it is always good. Breakfast burrito could be shared it is so big. Coffee is good and the atmosphere is Pueblo!

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid, and every time I'm back in town to visit, I try to hit it up. I love The Pantry because it's stayed the same basically since the 80s. The menu is super old school, and the food always tastes the way you remember it. They have great Mexican food, and I love their burritos and Huevos Rancheros. I usually get Mexican food when I come here, but I know they also have good American stuff. I've tried their open-faced turkey sandwich, and it was great! Sometimes you need that old style, greasy, unhealthy home cookin', and The Pantry is great for that. Don't forget to try a slice of their pie or a milkshake!

I feel torn with a 3 star review. My friend was getting married so the morning of a few friends not in the wedding party came here. It's defiantly a home like atmosphere, no frills which is fine. The staff was very friendly and made our experience great. The food. Meh. It's classic diner food so if you like a little or a lot of butter and grease it's fine. I got the breakfast burrito which was fine. I will say that the green chili was AWESOME!

Went for a late weekday breakfast. It was busy but not packed. The waitress was not outright rude but was certainly not pleasant. Service was slow and we had to flag her down twice. The food was average but was not prepared as we requested. I asked for the hash browns & bacon crispy, neither was. My husband asked for corned beef hash crispy - it was not. Also his eggs were too runny. Overall our experience was not good & we do not plan to ever return.

What a great little nook! My bf and I had egg salad sandwiches with fries and a pickle (just the way Granny makes it!) for $7!! The restaurant is little, the staff are adorable locals, and they have little nic-knacks you can buy as "Pueblo souvenirs" at the register. This place isn't fancy at all but it's good home-style food, and would be good for a family, a quick bite for lunch, or a hearty breakfast.
