Just ate at Mo Mo's and it was very delicious. We ordered the couples sushi lunch combo for 17.99 which included 3 different full rolls and salad and misu soup. My husband also ordered jalapeño poppers which were so hot according to my husband I didn't try one. Everything was very tasty and we had leftovers to take home. Great lunch and very good price for 2 people at 10.00 apiece! Staff was very nice. This was my 2nd visit and I will go back when in Pueblo. Do want to try Suehiro sometime. Someone had commented they were turned off by Mo Mo's being connected to a motel but it does not have that feeling at all in the restaurant. And it's just next to a motel. So don't let that review keep you from trying this great sushi/Japanese restaurant. Not far from I25 so convenient when passing through Pueblo.

Great sushi for a small southern CO town. Service has always been just ok, but they have some very creative southwestern rolls and the sashimi is usually pretty good.

We stop in at Mo Mo every time we pass through Pueblo. The food is consistently very good and so is the service and the prices. It is close to the interstate too. What a find!

Three stars for the nice try. Don't trust the I've-eaten-sushi-everywhere reviews anywhere, because that doesn't suggest they have right standard of what's quality (people that know sushi don't say that stuff). If you're more of a sushi roll person, you can think you're having a great meal, as you're judging by the flavor, which can conceal the meat and rice. Good taste of the stuffing does not make it good sushi, unfortunately. I had the chirashi bowl. The fish was loose and sliced pretty thin. The sushi rice, the most important part, was not near sushi rice. Go if you feel sushi in Pueblo, but know this is Pueblo.

I'm a student at the local university and some classmates recommended that I eat at Mo Mo Sushi. It was a cool day so I used MapQuest find my way downtown to the restaurant. I came in at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon and it was quiet and quite empty. I did use the restroom that was in the attached Motor Hotel, and noted that the floors in the entranceway were extremely sticky and tacky. I was greeted immediately and offered to choose my own seat and I just sit at the bar directly in front of the sushi chef. I took quite a long time with the menu trying to decide what to have, and struck up a pleasant conversation with the young man behind the sushi table. He answered several questions I had about the other diners' meals he was preparing and was very friendly. My server was also a young student from the University and was pleasant but standoffish. I eventually settled on a sushi combo platter and had the cup of Miso soup and small lettuce salad with it. Neither the salad nor the soup were remarkable. My meal was ready instantly and I eagerly dug in. I thought everything was chilled and attractive, and no complaints about the freshness or quality. My lunch was $15.99 with the $2 upgrade for the tuna spicy rolls along with a soda ran me by approximately $21.00. I tipped $5 and was out the door at a little over $26.00 and 35 minutes. I liked it, I wanted it, but something about the cold February weather, the empty restaurant, the chilly reception from the server, or the chilled sushi just do didn't seem satisfying. I think for $26.00 for a quick lunch is pretty steep too.

Very good sushi. They use a lot of imitation crab meat in their rolls, but they have a good selection of nigiri that was fresh and 100% real. The prices are fair too. My wife and I split one of the couples lunches for $17 and it was great, especially for the price. I definitely recommend the Las Vegas roll.

OK, I've eaten a lot of sushi, in many different places...El Paso, Los Angeles, Maui, Kawaii, and have had some pretty amazing sushi. So, imagine my horror when my husband suggested that we eat sushi in Pueblo, Colorado at a place that doesn't even have a sign and is part of a motor hotel. Walking in, there are what can only be described as "panels" that have been knotted up which serve as entrance curtains. I was skeptical. The menu came, and holy crap! There are some awesome, and somewhat unconventional rolls! We ordered the jalapeno popper roll, the shrimp delight roll, and salmon sashimi. What flavors! What portions! This sushi was as good or better than many places that are supposed to be "sushi palaces!" If you have the chance to visit Mo Mo Japanese, you'll be so surprised at how good it is that you'll either want to tell everyone you know, or keep it your own secret so it won't get too crowded.
