Starting this review I will say that I have only ever done the lunch buffet here, so I can't really rate the service. If I can't make it down to Senor Rics in Aurora, this is my second choice for Mexican food. The lunch buffet is affordable and they offer a wide variety of things to eat (enchiladas, quesadillas, reillanos [I KNOW I spelled that one wrong lol]). They also provide a variety of items to put on your tacos/burritos if you decide to do the "Burrito/Taco bar". I have always found the restaurant to be clean and have never had an issue with the plates, chips or anything else. Maybe I'll have to go there when the lunch buffet is over and see if my experience changes, but if you're in the mood for a cheap, pretty tasty lunch buffet, definitely give this place a try.

The food was terrible. It was salty and no taste. The chile was a gravy rather than chile due to the use of flour. Salt was added to already salty food that was the left over from day before. I returned my dish for something else that was even worse and left that only to be charged for the inedible food! You have got to be kidding! How rude and bad business... I grew up in Mexico and am familiar on good Mexican food, this was terrible as was the service. We had to ask for everything, they do not offer chips and salsa or even if you want water. Bill was outrageous for what you get, not to mention they did not deduct for food sent back... Avoid this place at all cost, much better out there, frozen would have been better than this place!

Stopped in here after the wait at Mariachi's was 30 mins. Mistake! The food was nothing great, margaritas were gross and service was slow. Never again. Next time we will wait at Mariachi's.

not bad...not great. They charge for extra chips and salsa? The salsa was actually really fresh tasting and actually pretty good but to charge for more? The basket was small enough to feed one...not two. Once again the salsa is good! The food was just like i rated it...not great...not bad...just middle of the road. I actually had the carnitas that they only serve on the weekends...you would think that only serving it on the weekends would make it a treat...it was...it was middle of the road. I might be back...i won't rush but i wouldn't mind going back either.

Service was slow, food was brought out timely and was ok but nothing great. Salsa had very little flavor. Wait staff seemed more interested in sitting down and hanging out with each other than taking care of the customers. Lack of detail all around including pictures not hung straight.

Excellent food. Excellent carnitas. Service good. Just don't go there if you want a margarita. Nasty! We go to the other Mexican places in town just because of this reason. Bad marg mix. No bar scene whatsoever. That's what I enjoy in Mexican restaurants personally.

Ugh. The upside: They make the chips here. The downside: They burn them. Nasty chips. Just burnt corn tortillas. Salsa too hot, yet no flavor. Worst margarita I've ever had, it was super foamy and tasted terrible. The lunch buffet? Just cuz something is inexpensive doesn't mean it's good eats. Want good mexican food in parker? Go to Tequila Joe's.

11 years ago, when my son was born, my wife and I would eat there often and the food / service was great. Over time it got to where we felt rushed to order as the waitress would ask if we were ready to order the minute we sat down. Eventually we stopped going. Five years later we decided to give it another try last Saturday night. It was nice to see they had brought back the Mariachi band but that was where the pleasantness ended. After we had sat for about 10 minutes we finally did get chips, salsa, and a drink order taken. Twenty minutes later, we had been there for a total of 30 minutes, we still had not had our dinner order taken despite having the waiter walk right past our table 4 or 5 times. Finally we gave up, left some money on the table, and walked out. In all my years have I ever walked out of a restaurant like that. This place used to be a geat place to eat, now we will never be back

Meh. That's it. Just meh. I went here last night and everything tasted like it had been sitting around for a while; it was lukewarm and just blah. I was so hungry because I didn't have lunch so I ate and ate and ate but felt SO SICK later and even through this morning. The guac wasn't great and was an unnatural shade of green. The beef enchilada was bland. Nothing was very spicy. The only thing that was OK was the complimentary chips and salsa. Oh, and the huge strawberry margarita my mom and I shared was tasty. But I don't think there was any alcohol in it, I swear... We should have gone to Johnny's, but my mom and I just had to have Mexican. Mistake.

After finding that Johnny's Asian Bistro is closed on Sundays, we stopped into Los Volcanes for dinner. We were seated, and I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. The bathroom was a disaster. Water all over the floor, dirty sink and toilets, no paper towels. I returned to the table and found they had brought chips and salsa. The chips tasted stale and store-bought, and the salsa was definitely out of a jar with a little cilantro on top for effect. We ordered our food. My wife and I are both vegetarian, and both ordered items that did not have any mention of meat in the description (in fact, it specified that the filling for all three items was cheese). In hindsight, we should have confirmed the meatlessness of our orders with the waiter, but we didn't think to do so. Most places mention a main ingredient like meat on their menu, so we don't really think about it anymore. Our food came out and we discovered it had chicken in it. I flagged down a waitress, confirmed that our food had chicken in it, and explained that we were vegetarian and had not seen chicken mentioned on the menu. She shrugged and walked away. So I flagged down the waiter who had taken our order, explained again that we are vegetarian and did not want chicken, and apologized for not asking about meat before we placed our order. We asked to send back the food and he agreed to bring out some bean burritos and chile rellenos for us. He brought out the plate, and as we're eating, I started finding little dime-sized pieces of chicken mixed in with the refried beans. I don't know whether it's standard practice for them to mix pieces of meat into their refried beans, or if they did it out of spite because we sent back our original order. Either way, we'd experienced enough. I flagged down the waiter, showed him the chicken on my plate, and asked for a check. He never once apologized as we paid and left the restaurant. Terrible service.

My girlfriend suggested Los Volcanos for a lunch and catch-up. This place is next door to a coin operated laundry in a mall-type set up that looks pretty run down. I didn't have too may expectations for the place, but overall, the experience was pretty Meeeeh and here's why: My friend and I finished our chips and salsa and wanted it refreshed. After asking twice, we got our chips&salsa about 30 secs before the entrée. I had a burrito smothered with enchilada sauce and rice. They forgot the smothering and rice part. My friend had carne asada. On top of that, they screwed up our receipt. Fixing that was not too much of a hassle, but its worth mentioning. The food lacked flavor, the plates had cracks on them...C'mon atleast replace the broken plates. I will probably be back, in hopes that taste, flavor will be different, and plates are crackless.

Great weekday buffet! The green chili is especially good.

I read the reviews on Yelp before purchasing any food. And once again, Yelpers have it right. This place looks to have potential due to the fact that it's a hole in the wall. That's what I look in for in a Mexican food joint. I had the Huevos Rancheros and found that the flavor was lacking throughout the dish. The rice was okay, the beans okay and the green chile was also okay, but overall the flavor just never crept out. Even the salsa was bland. If in Parker, I'd still suggest Las Delicious IV, on Main St. It's not all that, either, but at least you can appreciate the flavors.

OMG this is the worst mexican food I have ever had, and not just in Parker!! I hail from So Cal and I KNOW mexican food....this place is not it. First of all, the chips taste like soap. Yes, soap....as in dish soap. If they make them themselves, then they do it near the kitchen sink. They are terrible. On top of that, they are already sitting on the table when she seated us. Wait, did someone else eat from those chips?? GROSS. The salsa sucked and we had no water to wash it down. I actually had to find someone to get us water! Second, the food is just plain awful!! I asked for a side of guacamole with my meal and I was thinking a small side for topping my enchiladas to make them better. I got a small side alright, but I was also charged $4.00!!!! Holy cow that's an appetizer sized price!! I could have made 2 lbs of guacamole at that price! When I complained about the price for 2 small sides being $8.00 total, the waitress was just like "oh well, that's the price!" Drinks weren't refilled and we had to actually find someone to come refill them. When we wanted (sort of) the check to get the heck out of there, we had to find the waitress again. I swear I have never wanted to dine and ditch more badly than I did at this restaurant!! All in all, it was a terrible 2nd experience and after eating there again, I suddenly remembered why I hadn't been back in so long! You are FAR better off eating across the way, in the same parking lot, at Johnny's Asian Bistro. At least their food is the BOMB!!

not sure if it's because we're in Parker. I'm from LA and SD, California. So standards are high, but i'm willing to be forgiving. I'm glad i wasn't the only one who thought so. the taste was not awfull, but just off. Actually only the chips were good. Salsa was home made, but tomatoey. Their horchata was good, but not home made. Not sure what it is that makes it taste of. I'm hoping it was that it's home made and healthy. but not really worth coming to unless you want their lunch buffett and quantity is worth more than quality for you. it's a family owned restaurant, and my heart goes to them for trying. but i give to charities that are 503c.

This place was horrible, everything from the service to the food. I ordered some chicken mole, and what i got was chicken drums covered in some sort of watered down bbq sauce. The cherry on top was the vomiting that occurred the next morning.

This is our favorite mexican restaurant in Parker, mainly because of the chile rellonos. They are awesome. I prefer the crispy ones. Service has always been fast and prices are reasonable. We found out that the owners are related to the owners of Las Hadas in Aurora where we used to go all the time. Very similary menu and great service up there as well

Terrible - the word I'd use to describe the food here. And I'm not talking about just one dish. I've actually been here 5-6 times to confirm that they are very bad restaurant because they have nothing on their menu that tastes decent. Even their salsa looked and tasted as if it came straight from Pace jar.

Why is that every Mexican restaurant I go into that starts with "Las" or "Los" doesn't seem to live up to the idea of great Mexican food that is a little spicy. I went here two weeks ago on a Saturday night around 7pm and the place was nearly empty, which I wasn't expecting from what I had heard about this place. But because it was nearly empty it only raised my expectations on what I thought should have been good service. Service was decent. Our food came out right away as if all it took was a few punches on the microwave and "Bing!" dinner is now served. I understand that it's not rocket science to build a burrito, but at least allow me to want or anticipate my meal and what I might expect. I do give them points for including sour cream with my meal without me having to ask. I'm sorry but you should not even consider yourself a Mexican restaurant if I have to ask for sour cream, no matter what I order. Our waiter did come over once after presenting our meals to see if everything was OK and then we never saw him again until it we asked for the check. What?! No refill on my drink? Aside from what was bland food, you don't come by and offer to refill my drink or my glass of water? What kind of service is this?! Well it's one that I will certainly not pay for again at this place. Senor Ric's I'm coming home!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
