Contrary to some of the other reviews, I find the atmosphere to be very nice. They have a lovely patio and the inside seating area is clean, open and very comfortable. They are a bit pricey but the amount of food is enough for two meals and it is very good quality in my humble opinion. My boyfriend and I each ordered a ribeye steak and they were fabulous. They were cooked to order and served quickly. The sides with the meat were also delicious. The drinks were very good - I had my usual Margarita and ordered a second because the first was so tasty. We didn't notice any excessive bugs as mentioned in previous reviews. I wonder if they were sitting outside? Inside we noticed they did the old trick with the water bags hanging in the doorway (to keep insects out) and honestly I did not see one fly inside. Our waitress was very polite, attentive and quick. She made sure everything was top notch and kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything. We did not wait excessively for our food. We were so full from our meal we did not eat dessert so I cannot comment on that. One thing I do think needs improvement is the waitstaff (other than our server). There were a couple of male servers that were using profanity (not the mild kind) loud enough so customers could hear. They were making jokes to each other but they were inappropriate for a place of business. I don't think they were doing it on purpose but as adults they should know better. I found that to take the classiness of the place down a notch. I'm not a prude either and can cuss with the best of them, but of course there is a time and place for that and it's not at a high end restaurant. I will definitely be back to try the Ore House again. I'm sorry the other reviewers were not happy with their visit but my boyfriend and I could find no reason (other than the one mentioned) to complain. We were completely satisfied.

Our family gathering of 4 adults 2 teens had a wonderful meal and a relaxing time together. Pork loin special was just right. Service perfect. A great winter night out in Ouray.

We came here because of the patio! SO pretty for a lil mountain town. We had the wedge salad, french onion, rib-eye, shrimp skewer and special rhubarb apple pastry. Everything was great! The service was nice, especially for small towns! (Usually you have to be beyonnnnd patient in these little towns) I would rec this place update their wine list, as there was only one varietal option. I also think the shrimp was overcooked and thus turned a little rubbery. The steak, mashed potatoes, sauce and asparagus was mmmmm! The french onion was superb. I appreciated the garnish and presentation as everything came out beautifully. The historical building inside was also a nice site to see:)

We came to the Beaumont Grill due to several recommendations... We had several appetizers, since we were not starving. The French onion soup was good edging toward fine, the crab cake special was the best choice, but the bacon wrapped shrimp was way over cooked and the bacon had no flavor but fat. The French pressed coffee was filled from the regular coffee maker... Many short cuts, not so great. Of course we were here off season, but I expected better for the 3 appetizers and 2 glasses of wine for $60... I'm only giving it a 3 star rating because the crab cake was good and the fire was warm, it felt nice in the cold night we rolled in on.

This restaurant used to be the Beaumont Grill but now it's going to be renamed The Welded Elephant BBQ. Go to the reviews of this place in Ridgeway, CO and you'll see that it get great reviews. I'm from Texas and I know great BBQ and this place is right up there with the best. The guy works all night to smoke the meats slow and low, like it should be. Incredible food!!! My only complaint...sauce should be served on the side.

The Beaumont Grill has permanently closed. There is now a barbecue restaurant on the site of the former Beaumont Grill with a completely different menu, a new chef and new owners. I haven't yet tried the barbecue. My one star rating is just a way of posting this notice, and it does not in any way reflect the quality of the new restaurant

Over the last several years I've enjoyed many meals here and so it is often my first choice for dinner in Ouray. It's very consistent in the execution of any given menu item but most items are also consistently pretty good. As usual, this time around the ribeye was cooked perfectly and the service was attentive. The patio is great too. If you're looking for a low risk, above average reward in Ouray, this is it.

Expensive if you're used to village prices. 12$-15$ hamburgers. Portobello mushroom choices, bacon wrapped shrimp. fancy. Not many beers on tap - Miller and local brew. I ordered a dipping sandwich. good. Frosted glasses for beer. nice

We ate in the hotel not the grill area. The hotel dinning are is SO MUCH nicer. Very elegant atmosphere. Food was good. Onion soup was outstanding. Service was excellent and friendly. This does not speak to the bar or outside eating areas. Price are reasonable for the elegant hotel are but a little much for the grill area.

Wonderful, high end restaurant. We ate outside surrounded by beautiful scenery! I recommend the trout, but you probably couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu.

We had a night away from the kids, so we decided to give this place a try. GREAT food, great prices and a great atmosphere. More expensive than the rest of ouray, but that is because it is on a whole other level. Definitely recommend it!!!

Good food. Waiter was kind of stuffy and impersonal. Bar could use more seating. Wine served in Riedel stemware but the wine list was kind of short. Overall good experience but not worth the cost.

Werent sure who our waiter was after five minutes of sitting. A nice girl told us twice that the waiter was coming right behind her. A guy came and asked us if we wanted a drink and scurried off. I guess he was new to waiting tables and had good intentions. For entrees that cost $35 I would expect management to provide training for etiquette. I had to ask if he was our waiter and what his name was. The beignets are horrible. And I may have had a rotten cranberry in my salad...one bite tasted like a stink bug. We think it may have actually been a bug. Yipes!!!

Def recommend Dusty as server. Dinner was perfect with crab cake and French onion soup as appetizers followed by Kobe bistro tender which is fantastic with wild mushroom risotto to compliment. Huge portions and great patio atmosphere. Enjoy!

When was the last time you saw the whole dining room give the chef a prolonged ovation? the food was that good. We wanted to have a drink in this historic hotel and decided to have a couple of apps. I wish we had been starving. The chef arrived two months ago from Houston--apparently he was brought back by management. This man's talent is extraordinary. We had fresh asparagus, served perfectly cooked, slim, fresh and dressed with lemon and cracked black pepper and a cloud if shaved Parmesan. But the pork belly over greens with bacon and marcona almonds was as good as anything I've eaten. The light maple glaze on the pork balanced the vinegary greens. The chef found a local source for the pork, juicy, tender and fresh. The service was attentive and the bourbon recommendation was great. Hubby says the wine list needs updating, and the bar could use more seating. But, go to eat. Who knew this level if food is waiting in Ouray ?

My wife and I had dinner at the Beaumont Grill last night, we found it on Yelp and went for the French Onion soup... I thought it was good, my wife thought it was OK. She likes it richer... We enjoyed the outdoor patio, entrees were good, Dusty provided great service, only complaint... food came out to fast.

The ambience was nice old saloon and nice patio. We had entree salads and my husband swears he ate a bug. The dessert was the beignet and terrible. It was very expensive and not worth going back. There are many other nice places to eat in Ouray with better quality and prices.

I don't understand the less complimentary reviews because our experience was that everything you want a restaurant to be was superbly delivered: wine, food, cocktails, atmosphere, and great waiter service, particularly Dusty. You have the choice of inside next to any elegant old back bar, or outside in a beautiful courtyard with a delightly water fountain running.

We came to this place as it was the only place that had parking close by. The food was excellent and the service was great. We had sandwiches as it was lunch time. Very interesting combinations and we enjoyed it. Rather pricey but for a tourist town, very good!!
