I came here for a Yelp Elite dinner and it was more than I could have ever expected!! The staff was wonderful and so friendly, including Tracy, the manager. We started with 4 appetizers of sweet corn fritters, wild west shrimp, brew pub pretzel sticks, and fried green tomatoes. I absolutely love the fried green tomatoes!! Then, we were supposed to select either a soup or salad. The bacon and beefsteak tomato salad was very tempting, but I went with the Chicken tortilla soup and I'm glad I did!! Others had ordered the bacon and beefsteak salad and said it was delicious, but the plate for HUGE! It could have been its own entree and you would have left completely full without complaint. Now, the chicken tortilla soup had a kick, but I love spicy and it was fabulous! OK, by this time, I am thoroughly full, but I am told I need to pick an entree and a side. Please, can I tap out now?? LOL I ordered the smoky garlic ribeye cooked rare with a side of mac and cheese. First off, my steak was cooked to the perfect temperature, which always makes me happy because other places usually overcook my steak. The flavor of the steak was magnificent and was topped with a tomato vinaigrette that I adored. I also like the fact that the sauces were not overly salted; they had flavor, but I am so glad that Longhorn understands that salt is not the only flavor in a meal. I obviously could not finish my steak nor mac and cheese, so I got a to-go box, which is still enough food for 2 more meals! Finally, it's dessert time. We were served the Chocolate Stampede and Blueberry Lemon Butter Cake. Let's preface this by saying I DON'T really like chocolate. I know, I know, I keep trying it, but it is definitely not something I crave nor the first thing I'd ever order, but if you put something in front of me, the least I could do is try it twice. The Chocolate Stampede comes out in these huge slices and served with vanilla bean ice cream. It's a chocolate cake base (as thin as a pie crust) and it's a chocolate mousse that is just the right amount of sweet and chocolate. Now, for someone who never really likes chocolate, I must say that this is heaven in a spoon! I then try the Blueberry Lemon Butter Cake. I love this combination, especially when I bake my cupcakes at home. OMG, this is another spoonful of heaven. The butter cake has this lemon cream on the inside that is so amazingly light and decadent. The butter cake was light and moist and absolute PERFECTION! My only complaint is that these are not empty calories LOL! I know that this was a sponsored dinner, but Longhorn put their best foot forward and it shows. I am so lucky to have been able to attend this dinner and have such a wonderful food experience and being able to interact with other Elite Yelpers and have great conversation! Thank you so much, Longhorn for your hospitality and allowing me to experience your wonderful food! I am definitely a believer in what you bring to the culinary industry and am DEFINITELY coming back!

Service at bar was great, food is good, prices are reasonable. Not many options in Thornton so it's a good addition. Give them time and I think it's gets better

Took friends here from out of state that love this place. They over cooked there steak twice, mine was over cooked as well but I decided to eat because I was hungry. The server alerted the manager and he did apologize and comp'd the steaks, which was not asked. The service was good, so we might try again soon.

Worst service I've ever experienced! Our waitress seemed to be more focused on the bigger tables, rather than anyone else. We waited at least 15 mins for a refill. And the food, decent. Not much to rave about. The steak was cooked well and was really tender, but definitely skipped out on flavor. Wouldn't recommend this place and probably won't be back.

This place has the best lunch deals around. Their lunch burgers for $8.95 rock!!! For about the same price as fast food, you can get a phenomenal, steakhouse grade burger with homemade chips smothered in a gourmet cheese sauce. Dang tasty, and a great bargain. Awesome dinner dishes too!!! Our new favorite place on the north end of town.

DISCLAIMER: Steak disgusts me, therefore I did not participate in feasting on the small herd that was delivered to my table, but I did lend a hand in reducing Northglenn's chicken population. My review is meant to gauge LongHorn's failure as a restaurant ... not specifically as a slaughterhouse. 1. Upon entering the doors, 1/2 of the restaurant was empty. The bar had one warm stool and one occupied table. We imagined this scenario, at 4 pm on New Year's Day, so we arrived with hunger pains associated to skipping lunch. 2. The seating area for overflow guests, was empty. 3. Based on 1 & 2, there was no reason for us to expect any sort of wait. 4. The "hostess" said, "hi". 5. I thought maybe she was new so I helped her out after that and gave her our party count, "4 please. 2 children's menus". She followed up with, "name?" My niece piped in and started to give her everyone's name (gotta love her) before I cut her off. 6. We were then handed a buzzer and told, "it'll be about 15 minutes". My sister and I looked at each other, thinking with one mind, as we wandered over to stare at the empty restaurant from a non-service area seated position. 7. We were vibrating about 15 minutes later and within seconds, a woman hustled to our table and asked if we wanted something to drink. No suggestions, no small talk, just a round table glare that said, "today?" 8. As she was delivering the 2nd half of the drinks, another gentlemen stepped up and gave us his name, stating he would be taking care of us today. He started out amazingly - very pleasant, nice smile, locater of crayons, could've been the diamond ... 9. Our food, took FOREVER. Mind you - the pace had definitely picked up as actual lunch eater's dinner hour approached, but here's the beef - when you have a 3 year old and 6 year old at your table, and ESPECIALLY then - if your food is taking longer than the toaster oven would, you at least pop by and apologize for the wait. 10. Beef part 2 - when the food finally arrives after what seems like days to toddlers, at least apologize for the wait at that time, maybe even throw the kids a bone. 11. Beef, literally, part 3 - 2 steaks ordered medium well. One was pretty in pink, the other was snowy mud puddle brown. You do the math. I get it, they didn't have their ish together and maybe a few NYE hangovers left them shorthanded, I don't steal stars for that. It's the simple act of empathy that changes everything ... beg pardon for our long wait and we'll show you compassion for your crappy delivery time. It pains me to leave anyone a 15% tip, considering how underpaid the service industry is in general. But when the server feels no pain, they're deservingly shorted the gain.

Service was good but steaks are mediocre at best. Our first visit we had the prime rib and it was very chewy and tough. We went back a second time to give it one more try thinking it was an off night for their meat but got different cuts. We had the same outcome with the New York strip and ribeye. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and because they are new in the area. No matter what cut we've gotten they are very tough and tendon-y/gristly. Hard to justify spending $20+ on a steak to only be able to swallow a few bites of meat. Probably won't be back, unless I order a salad.

We had called ahead to the Thornton Longhorn Steakhouse as it was a Friday, and we had 4 adults and 3 children. I called ahead at 6:05pm and was told the wait would be 40-45 minutes and to be there in 35 minutes, that when we got there we would have a few minutes wait and then would be seated (we use this call ahead at Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse, and have NEVER been treated like we were here). When we arrived at 6:40 - we were told that the wait would be another 40-45 minutes - and that calling ahead puts us at the beginning, but that this is how long the wait would be. Other people had walked in after us and being told 25-30 minutes. This was unacceptable, especially as we had children with us, which was the sole reason we did call ahead, as to not ruin other people's dinners with cranky children. When I asked the hostess what the point of call ahead was, she said that call ahead doesn't matter if others come in, and that we would just have to wait. I told her that we did call ahead because of the children, and she said "that's not my problem" We live just down the street, and had never been to this restaurant, and were looking forward to trying the food. This has now been ruined - we ended up across the street at Lonestar. I am highly disappointed with the staff and the way we were treated. So they get 1 star for not even getting us to sit down...

Attended a Yelp Elite event at this location and wrote a crazy long review about it on the events page...but wanted to add a quick blurb here! The waitstaff was super friendly (Graham is the only one whose name I can recall), and Tracy, the manager, made sure everyone was taken care of. If you have any questions, they are there to help you out! The food was great! I'd def recommend the fried green tomatoes, Wild West Shrimp or the corn fritters as an app; the filet for your entree, with steakhouse mac and cheese for the side; and, finish your meal off with the blueberry lemon butter cake. All were excellent. Ample parking and a fun time at an affordable price!

If I could rate the service here it would be a 0. Ate here last night with my family and their friends from Taiwan. Now we all know ordering hot water is an Asian thing and pretty strange. But our server did not need to give any attitude or roll his eyes at us. My family might have not noticed your little antics but as a fellow server I sure did! Overall our server was very snappy and gave us a lot of attitude in a passive aggressive type of way. Service was incredibly disrespectful and disappointing. Now let's talk about the food! Since I have been in the restaurant business before I know that the bread served is not "freshly baked" and more like just reheated in the oven for warmth. So that's not too exciting. I ordered the 6oz. Sirloin cooked at Medium with broccoli and mashed potatoes as my sides. I thought my meal was delicious. The steak was cooked just like I wanted, with the perfect amount of seasoning. The broccoli and mashed potatoes were equally as yummy and the presentation of the food was really nice. From server to server: Sorry for the 15% tip but you don't really even deserve 10%. Was going to leave you a note, but didn't have paper on me.

I'm going to preface this review by saying I ordered two takeout meal so I don't know how the staff would responded to my issues. First when I arrived to pick up my order there was no one at the hostess stand to greet me, I simply walked over to the bar. There was no one there either. I waited about 10 mins until an employee wandered out from the back. I told her I was picking up and order she said she'd be right back. Another 10 mins later..... I finally got my order. I got home and unpacked it all. Underwhelmed. I ordered my steak medium well (no comments from the steak snobs, I like my meat cooked) it was Red all the way through. My wife's was the same but she likes it that way so she was good. I paid $25 for this cut of meat and it was 75% fat. Both our potatoes were rock hard and the bread had the consistency of old chewing gum. This is not what I expected from a $60 meal. I will never give my money to Longhorn again. Save yourself $30 and go to Texas Roadhouse.

I had absolutely nothing go wrong. Service was amazing. Food was amazing. So, even though it is a chain restaurant and people like to poopoo corporations, my dining experience was worth 5 stars. Parking lot was packed, restaurant was bustling, and we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. It has a modern western themed decor, lots of wood. Very organized and clean. We ordered mostly off the seasonal menu and tried a lot of different items: Pretzel Sticks, Corn Fritters, Fried Shrimp, and Fried Green Tomatoes! These were all so good. Pretzels were warm and crusty, corn fritters were like dessert (evil!), fried shrimp were fresh, and I am now a fan of fried green tomatoes. I also ordered a steakhouse tomato bacon salad and it was HUGE. I had to pack that for home to save room for STEAK. I was not disappointed! The steak was also ginormous! I got the ribeye. Perfectly cooked medium rare with great char marks and seasonings. I wish I had saved more room for that sucker! Will have some for lunch today (and probably tomorrow). Oh, and I ordered the mac and cheese to go with. Also amazing. I mean, I'm serious here folks! Longhorn has upped the steakhouse ante. Trendy, fancy, hipster quality food. Oh, wait, dessert! Hooooo. The seasonal lemon blueberry cake was so Martha. It was fluffy and dense and adorable. And that chocolate cake monster that they brought out. Are you kidding me? We definitely only needed one for the table. So rich and delectable. We did not eat responsibly. Worth it! Reading previous reviews, it seems most folks enjoyed their food but service was the issue. I think they have fixed all that. We were greeted immediately. Drinks were quick. Food was quick. Boxes and checks were quick. Managers stopped by to check on us. It was 5 star service. I saw that they have a great happy hour, too. So, they WILL be seeing my face again. Gotta get me some more of those fritters!

Long Horn is one of the best chain steak houses around. They seem to be growing in a casual dining market segment where everything else is shrinking. They offer good steaks and sides at reasonable prices. The location in Thornton is a free standing building on a pad in the shopping center grouped with many other restaurants.

This is definitely the best steak in the area. I was lucky enough to attend a Yelp event here last night and enjoyed every aspect of my meal. For apps we enjoyed: Corn fritters, fried green tomatoes, pretzel sticks, appetizer bread, and wild west shrimp. Everything was good but my favorite was, surprisingly, the pretzel sticks! I never, ever crave these or order them in restaurants but these were so. dang. good. They were served piping hot and came with a yummy cheese dipping sauce. Moving on before I drool on my keyboard... Since it was a Yelp event, we had a fixed menu which still provided some flexibility. For my salad I chose the Beefsteak Tomato & Bacon Salad. This was HUGE and could have been my entree on its own, but I really enjoyed the huge cuts of tomato and really good dressing. For my entree I chose the NY Strip since I wasn't hungry enough for an 18 OUNCE RIBEYE Lol. With steak, I wish it was acceptable to say "skin the animal and put it on a plate for me." Instead, to not freak people out, I just say "rare, please" and Stormy (AWESOME waitress!) made sure it was cooked to my liking. It was so flavorful and I would absolutely get this entree again. My side was the mashed potatoes, which you can also customize (sour cream, bacon, etc). Dessert included a chocolate cake and a blueberry lemon butter cake. Both, as expected with the quality shown thus far, were great. I only wish I wasn't so full by this point haha! I had two bites and had to put my fork down in defeat. The hospitality was impeccable, and we even got the managing partners to show us the different cuts of meat they served to help us pick which one we wanted and you could tell they genuinely wanted us to have a great meal. This place is really pretty inside and pretty classy. It could be great for a working lunch, family dinner, or a cute date night. Check it out. Thanks LongHorn and thanks Frances/Yelp! I will definitely be back!

This is my first time at a longhorn steakhouse and it was great! The staff were very kind and helpful, the food was delicious, and the environment was clean. We came here for a yelp event and it was very well organized. I don't recall the names of the starters but the pretzel sticks, fried shrimp with peppers, and I think the last one was fried chicken bites, all of them were great, nothing was too greasy nor too dried out, and the dipping sauces they all came with were very tasty. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, the filet with the Idaho potato on the side, and for dessert we were given the chocolate stampede and blueberry lemon butter cake, all of which were very good. I also ordered their Montana mule to drink, it was also very good and easy to drink, I am a light weight so one mule was good, if I had another I would probably have needed a driver. The soup had a good kick, the filet was cooked perfectly (MR) and was amazingly tender, and the desserts were surprisingly light. Personally I prefer the chocolate cake over the blueberry but for someone who doesn't like blueberry lemon desserts and still enjoying it should say enough. Overall great experience, I would recommend this place, and it's right next to the highway so it's a great location.

For my first experience at a LongHorn Steakhouse I had a great meal. This location is in Northglenn where I don't often venture for food or otherwise. The area has been developed recently and has a big parking lot, which is necessary because it was packed at 7pm on a Monday evening. The hostess, wait staff and managers were all friendly. As I was seated at a few tables put together for a Yelp event I had a bounty of appetizer options to choose from. The wild west shrimp were battered and fried. They were delicious with spicy cherry peppers, garlic butter and house-made Ranch dressing. The pretzel sticks were buttery and salty (not too salty) with a cheese or honey mustard dipping sauce. The corn fritters were not too crunchy or greasy. The For salad the beefsteak tomato and bacon salad is enormous. It is definitely big enough to share among two or three people. It had three large slices of tomato, several strips of bacon, fried croutons, cheese and lettuce. My only change would be to have dressing on the side as it was a little wet for my liking. For my entree I had the smoky garlic outlaw ribeye with and corn on the cob as my side. I asked for it medium rare and it was cooked accordingly. It was a huge piece (18 oz) and I had plenty for leftovers. The corn was good, not over salted with a cheesy crumble of some kind. The dessert options were good. I only tried the chocolate stampede, which was full of chocolate, ice cream and happiness (well my happiness). Definitely somewhere I will go again as they many other options to try. Good show LongHorn!

This place stinks. Long wait in the lobby area when there are plenty of open tables in the dining room. The place can never seem to get its act together and actually seat people at open tables. Finally got called to be seated then had to wait a couple of more minutes at the hostess area while they tried to figure out who they called up. They got it figured out and handed the menus to some guy who immediately asked who he was supposed to seat. Wait longer for them to answer the question. If I could give it a zero I would. I won't be returning here and would suggest you avoid it as well.

I wish yelp would allow the option to give a half of a star. I would defiinitely give Longhorn Steakhouse three and a half stars. To start, Longhorn is my favorite affordable steak house. The steaks here are juicy and well seasoned. However, the flavor of the steak as well as how it is made can be inconsistent from time to time. You can always ask the server for more seasoning when you order to make sure. I normally get the flat iron steak because I like the medium rare cook to it and it is the right portion size for me. I also enjoy their signature strawberry salad. It comes with a variety of fruits; strawberries of course, grapes, and mandarin oranges. I love fruits. This last time however, I was craving for soup so I substituted my salad for the new grilled chicken tortilla soup. It was delicious. My boyfriend also tried their new grilled lamb chops. That was good. However, some of the lamb chops were smaller than the others; thus, was overcooked. We also tried the peach sweet ice tea. We discovered that it was just peach syrup in the sweet tea. Nonetheless, I have gone here many times and will continue to do so. I never had any problems with the service. I think if you are patient and nice to the servers they reciprocate the same.

  • Mark O.

Wade from Littleton is accurate when he states the experience is underwhelming. They might have put their game faces on during the Elite dinner, but my meal was definitely not worth the price. My flat iron steak lacked any kind of seasoning whatsoever and seemed to be thicker than what my expectations held. It seemed closer to a sirloin--somewhat fatty and low in quality. In the last two years, I've tried to avoid using steak sauce and eat the steak as it is. This time, I couldn't avoid it, but A-1 didn't do much in the way of dressing it up. The steak also seemed to be in its own juices and heavily so for a steak ordered medium. They only have a limited selection of beer on tap. Fortunately, Blue Moon was one of them, otherwise, it was the standard crap every other restaurant offers. Dollar for dollar, you'll fare better by going to Outback or Texas Roadhouse if you desire a 'chain steakhouse' experience.

This is definitely my favorite steakhouse in this area I have been too. The food is really good quality for a good price. I attended a Yelp event here last night so I was able to try some more items on the menu I didn't get to try before. The apps were all so good and pretzel sticks are my favorite (I didn't know they had them before). I got a sirloin steak and it blew other steaks I have had out of the water. It was just cooked so perfect. I got the side of mac and cheese which was definitely really good as well. For desert we tried the chocolate cake which was a favorite as well. It came with ice cream and was really rich. The service was by far the best I have had before. Everyone was so knowledgeable about the food and how it was cooked. They were also very friendly and attentive if anyone needed anything. I would 100% recommend this place.

Whenever I'm traveling and my hotel is near a Longhorns I always try and eat there at least once. They are one of the few chains that serve Lambchops. This restaurant was typical of the chain. Seating was fast, service was okay and the food was good. The salad was fresh and cold. Although a little undercooked, the Lambchops were enjoyable. The horseradish mashed potatoes, as always, were a treat. Overall an OK experience typical of the chain.

I really enjoy a good steak, and every time we come here, the steaks are good. The service has been excellent, and desserts are great too. We like their happy hour which is 4-7 pm, m-f. They have $3 drafts, which include Dales and the Ranger. Also, small bites are on the happy hour. The location is new and very clean. Their prices are very close to Outback, but the atmosphere is slightly more upscale. All in all, a very nice place for a steak.

Ordered the tortilla soup, citrus grilled salmon, mac and cheese, and chocolate stampede. Tortilla soup was spicy and had a nice kick to it - not overwhelming. The salmon was delicious. Mac and cheese was my favourite! The dessert was perfect and I will most certainly order it again. Great music for my taste - very comfortable atmosphere.

Dropped in tonight for dinner. Thoroughly disappointed in Longhorns. Hostesses were rude and snotty. Place was dirty. Under staffed. They did not cook my wife and kids food as ordered. My waiter was good, but was overwhelmed. Those snotty hostesses didn't help clean or bus tables. Manager did not ask how our experience was. If he did I would have been honest with him and let him before I wrote my review. But he wasn't doing much. I seem to notice the small things at restaurants, like the trash in the bathroom overflowing, a spoon laying on the carpet and staff walking by it. Or if there are 10 people waiting to be seated and there are 3 booths and a table open. My wife gets annoyed because I complain about these things. But I can't help it. It's common sense stuff. Seat people as soon as you can, keep turning tables, walk around and pick up trash. Keep drinks full & make sure food is right. Manager should check on guests. Longhorn steak house in Thornton is a bust. This was my second time there, first time was great ( at 5:30pm ). Second time (7:30pm) not even close to first visit. I would just head to Texas Roadhouse next time. It is what it is.

The LongHorn has been at this location for about 3 months, according to our server, but it was our first time here. Happy hours are M-F 4-7; drinks are $5. I saw a basket of hot pretzels going by our table; if I wasn't already finished, I'd have jumped the server. I'm not a big meat eater but had a craving for steak, which pleased himself a bunch - he who loves red meat. I got the filet with asparagus; he the ribeye, same veg. Big discussion about how I wanted the filet done. Don't like the plate jumping back at me but who wants well done? That said, and reading other Yelp reviews, I can see it's a crap shoot everywhere I've eaten meat regarding what the chef/cook/ thinks my explanation via the server really meant. Tasted delish but too pink on most of the inside for me. Probably because I owned a restaurant and before that worked as a server, I have restaurant empathy - most of the time. This was one. Rather than make a stink about the steak (had I read Raymond O's Yelp about getting the steaks comped I would have) I ate around the outside - it was delectable - and took the rest home. Between himself, the dog and me - we'll get it eaten. I had the strawberry-pecan salad - truly memorable in a great way. Goat cheese, grapes, berries, nuts, and a tasty dressing on a bed of mixed greens - honestly it filled me up. Studly had the regular salad. The ambiance in the place is great - servers are well trained and we did get a comp appetizer on our next visit. Thanks, Tracy! Yah, too much empathy. But really folks, the prices are reasonable - just remember $5 happy hour M-F; 4-7pm Oh and on the TV was the hot dog eating contest - winner ate 64.

I just had a great dinning experience at the local longhorn steak house , Starting with a great service from Max that suggest the bone in ribeye, the steak was nice and tender perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection . I highly recommend this place .

After our great experience a month ago, we came back and brought 4 others with us. Our entire group was very disappointed this time around. After we ordered we waited quite a while for our salads. Two of us upgraded to the French onion soup. (It was very good). No one was finished with the first course before the second course arrived. Three members of our group ordered the Flo's filet. All of them ordered the 6 oz but one was nearly twice as thick as the other two. The two small ones looked more like a tiny sirloin rather than a classic thick filet you would expect. We asked the waitress if the kitchen got the order wrong but she said that they were indeed filets. We also noticed that everyone's steaks looked like they had been cooked in an oven rather than a grill. We eventually spoke to a manager. She explained that in order to save time, steaks ordered at medium, medium well or well done are thinner than medium rare or rare. We also learned that steaks are cooked on a flat top rather than a grill. This is disappointing to learn since the steaks are around $20 each. The manager ended up comping the 2 filet dinners as well as taking 25% off the bill. The staff was nice and did their best to make us happy. Our disappointment is in the decisions likely being made at the corporate level that appear to be cutting corners.

Typical Longhorn Steakhouse. Food was good and so was the service. My steak was prepared well. The bread is delicious here. This is a chain invest at a lot when I travel. There always seems to be a consistent level of service and food at all Longhorns.

This was my first time at this "new" restaurant. There is a Happy Hour available for better priced drinks and appetizers. I wanted a salad this evening and the Crispy Chicken and Grilled Watermelon Salad was pretty good. The grilled watermelon was innovative. The service was attentive and informative. This is definitely worth a try if you're in the Westminster/Thornton area.

This is the 3rd time we've been to this restaurant and each time the service has been terrible. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and there were only about a dozen tables full. Food is good, but not good enough to wait an hour for. We won't be back.

Service was meh. Didn't bring all of our drinks the first time, had to ask for straws for iced drinks and for cream for coffee and for coffee refills. Steak was undercooked and over peppered but tender and juicy. Will probably chalk it up to growingpains and give them another chance after they've been open awhile

If I could give just the service alone 0 stars I would! My boyfriend and I went in for dinner on my birthday 4/7. Our waitress was Laura L. As she was sitting us, with her back towards me, she stated to him "Oh you're adorable (Keep in mind he is a 52 year old man), you're very cute and handsome." I sat there with my jaw on the floor. I couldn't believe she was actually hitting on him with me sitting there. She turned to me and asked "Is this your man?" (Yes, she was a grown woman) I hesitantly replied "yes." And then she asked "Are you mad at me?" To which I simply replied "no". I was actually beyond upset. Having worked as a business manager in high end bars in downtown for almost 6 years, I was completely appalled by her lack of professionalism. I didn't want to cause a scene as I was actually looking forward to my dinner (which I did enjoy). I called to actually get email address for the Managing Partner as well as the manager on duty the following morning, to which the manager on duty at 11am (I believe her name was Summer) did not give them to me, but instead wanted to know what happened. She truly seemed to be appalled that a member of her staff would act in such an unprofessional manager. She said the situation would be addressed and said she would let the manager who worked that night know of what happened. She took my number and thought he would call. Well, that person never did. She also took my name and address and said that she would be sending me gift cards so that I could come in and enjoy a proper dinner on them. Here we are a week later, and I have yet to receive gift cards either. It seems as though that was our first time in the restaurant and it will also be our last.

This restaurant was a favorite of mine when I lived in Maine and now they have begun to open them in Colorado! Needless to say I was dying to try it out. Open entering I immediately noticed the updated and much higher class of the decor. This place is beautiful inside. The wait staff were excellent and I even discovered that several of the managers were former Mainers as well. The whole experience, down to the restrooms felt very high end. The food itself was prepared perfectly. My wife and I got the porterhouse for two. And upon its presentation they even made fresh steak sauce for us to apply to our steaks. I was thoroughly impressed with every piece of the meal and cannot wait for the next one to open near the park meadows mall!

I can say our first visit didn't start off so well. We were originally quoted a 40 minute wait. Then a 50 minute wait. Finally we were quoted a wait of over an hour by the manager (Christine). Please keep in mind, this was for a party of 14. To make a long story short, Christine couldn't have been any better. I believe Christine is fully aware and understands what customer service is all about. She got us seated and even offered to comp us appetizers for our group. Christine was very apologetic and said she was going to use our situation in training her very young staff. Finally, to the food. The food was fantastic! The cut of meat I ordered was cooked to perfection. Everything was perfect. The service was phenomenal. The wait staff was definitely on their game, and super courteous. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my foodies!!

It's funny that this steakhouse has two different pages on yelp... One with good reviews and the other not so much. We have gone a couple times in hope it would be better, but it was worse! Don't waste your money here. This is the worst steakhouse, every person that works at this junk house has no clue what they are doing. The steaks are really gross and way over priced!! You can go to Applebee's and get a better steak!!!! I hope the people that own this place really turn their focus to it.....

Terrible experience and didn't even eat! When my husband and I walked in half the restaurant was empty so they weren't that busy. First of all the hostess wasn't there to great us as she was too busy socializing in the bar. When she did come upfront she didn't make eye contact with us and didn't say a word. She looked down at her seating map then grabbed two menus and started walking (assuming we'd follow and we did). Next we sat at our table for over 15 minutes and no one ever came by or made eye contact with us to come over. A simple "I'll be right by" and "sorry for the wait" would've been nice. We decided to leave after this terrible experience and won't ever return. There are plenty of other steak places in the area with great customer service. Sorry Long Horn you just lost our business!

I went in this past Sunday 3/8 night around 8:30-9. When we walked in, the bar was empty and the restaurant was pretty full. We were told it would be about 15 minutes. There were open tables but I am a server/bartender so I understand exactly what that means. Either kitchen or servers are in the weeds. Either way, it's not a big deal. We get buzzed and the host repeatedly says bear with our server several times. This bothered me. You are setting the vibe and making it clear there is an issue when there is a chance we would have no idea. Our server was a nice girl who was busting her butt. Drinks took a second but they were bar drinks so that's not on her. Otherwise, food came out and was great. You could see she was busy but everything went well and she provided good service. My only complaint in the host setting us up for a negative experience when there was no reason to.

Eh. It was okay. Service was good. Spinach artichoke was pretty good but they don't have salsa???? Steaks were cooked right but average. Nothing special. Salads were excellent.

Best steakhouse in North metro. They blow lone star away and are a cut above Outback. You will not find a more tender or more flavorful steak in this price range. Only bad thing is the wait. I think they could better utilize there seating during busy times.

Good food and service at the bar was quick. Have to try the lamb chops with horseradish. Yummy!!! Prim rib was cooked to perfection. Plan to wait folks because this is the first one in Colorado. Either come early or come later...

Horrible. My bun was like a brick....I smacked it on the table and it wouldnt break. My husbands salad was limp and warm. The manager came and argued with us instead of trying to make it tight. He was an obnoxious jerk. My husband was in restaurant business for over 20 years and he would never go back. No apology or new food, nothing taken off the bill. Just a jerk trying to argue with us. The steak house on 104th and grant is soooooo much better.

I should have been tipped off when we arrived during the dinner rush and our party of 5 was immediately seated. Usually good restaurants that just open are packed at dinner, try getting into the Texas Roadhouse any night of the week, you'll wait. Our server was friendly but immediately pointed out that they are a huge chain with over 400 locations. I'm not sure if she thought this was a selling point or if she was just letting us know that we'd just walked into a western Applebee's. I attempted to order a beer but quickly realized they only serve the major macro swill. In a state with over 100+ breweries you can offer me something that doesn't suck? Skip this place if you want a decent beer. All they have is crap on tap. I had water. ---Forgot a detail after publishing this review. They serve fresh baked honey wheat bread at the table. Just after we all grabbed a splice and smeared on what turned out to be margerine our server shows back up and says "Is that frozen in the middle?) Ours wan't but they I got to thinking, how in the hell could it be frozen in the center if it's fresh baked? The menu was moderately priced and they had a lot of up charges. You can plan to spend $25-30 a plate. I ordered a steak with a salad and baked potato. I also asked the server if they use MSG, she promptly responded "oh no!" (I have actually now confirmed that they do indeed use MSG I their foods) I will also be contacting the corporate folks about this. Lame! The salads were delivered and on my third bite I pull out a huge hair, so I flag down the server who sends her manager over. The manager is nice but feels compelled to tell me that the guy that makes the salads is bald. I felt like telling her, ya got me! I put that hair there sorry for the inconvenience. I guess I don't know what that was to lend to the situation. Food arrived; my steak was cooked perfectly however it reminded me of ordering food at a bowling alley. At a bowling alley you can order almost anything and they'll throw it down on the flat griddle. That's how this steak was cooked. No char marks or taste of fire just a light brown flavorless color on each side. It was tender but tasteless, think cafeteria food. The potato was good but face it; you're not coming here for the potatoes. My wife had the Napa Chicken, neither of us cared for it. It really resembled an Applebee's creation with a funky sauce and food service quality ingredients. I guess my overall impression was poor. Even the décor lacked, for a new place it looked like an old western supper club. Lone Star and Texas Roadhouse have managed to modernize the western theme, why can't chains with 400 locations? I'd skip this one; there are plenty of options for a great steak in north Denver.

The second week they opened we went there and had the best food we have had in a while. The one bad thing on our first visit is they ran out of two of the entrees we ordered and they didn't even give us any kind of discount for the inconvenience. The second time we went everything just came out ok and wasnt worth the money. I wish it was as good as our first visit, but we will try it again in hopes of a better visit.

Place looks great and bar is very nice looking. The food was horrible. They should be ashamed to serve it. Bread was dry like they gave me someone else's left over loaf from earlier. Salad came served in a soup bowl and lacked flavor in the dressing. My steak ordered medium came out well done. Friend had ribs they came out cold. Others around me also said has cold food too. Place will make it cause owned by large chain but don't see long term them hurting Texas road house and outback near them. Much better good quality. Very disappointed as was excited for new steak house...

The place was packed when we arrived but we went on a weekend evening during the height of dinner so I kind of expected the long wait. It looks like they do have a call ahead option and I will try that next time. Our party of 7 was greeted by a friendly hostess and told the wait was between 45 minutes to an hour. About 50 minutes later our pager buzzed and we were shown to our table. Service was fine. Our waitress was very friendly and personable. She did a good job of answering our menu questions and made little jokes with the kids that made them laugh. Once we placed our orders our salads and appetizers arrived fairly promptly with complimentary bread and butter. Salads were fresh and the sampler aps we ordered for the table were tasty. Once we were done with our starters there was about a 15 minute wait for our main courses. We mostly ordered steaks all around with only one of my sons ordering a burger. Medium rare steaks were medium rare but the medium steak my daughter ordered was a little undercooked, more medium rare. Steaks were good enough. The rib eyes were a little fatty but my husband's porterhouse was nice and the sirloins were good. My son said his burger was quite good. Grilled shrimp were good sized and well cooked. All in all a pretty good dinner. Food was comparable to the other steakhouses in the area, Texas Roadhouse and Lonestar, and slightly better than Outback. Would eat here again. Pros: Decent food. Excellent, friendly service by waitress. Nice, casual atmosphere. Cons: Long wait, will try call ahead seating next time. Messy restroom, sinks were kind of dirty, overflowing trash and paper towels all over the place.

1st time was not enjoyable. Horrible service and the food was mediocre at best. We decided to give it a second try. Wow, still understaffed, out of certain items and through a drink and a half my order still wasn't taken. Sorry it's usually 3 strikes and your out but I won't be back to give them a chance for the third.

Was here on a late Sunday afternoon for my anniversary dinner. As we walked in to see a not so busy restaurant the host says how many with an ugly look on her face!! No smile! No hello!! She proceeds to tell us it's about a 25 min wait!! I couldn't figure out what the wait was for when their was plenty of clean empty tables! After 20 mins we were sat at our table. We ordered drinks and the spinach and artichoke dip. The server came back with drinks and bread. We asked for plates and she said of course! About 10 mins later another server delivered the chips and dip so we asked her for plates. You would think they would bring them out with the appetizer! Right? We both ordered the chicken Parmesan which was delicious! Half way through our meal everyone at the table needed refills! The server came to our table only 3 times! Never to ask us how the food was or if we needed refills!! She would rather clean another table! We usually tip 20% but not that night! I use to be a server and understand how things work!! Food wonderful!!! Service SUCKED!!!!!

1st things first. I have been a server or bartender for over 15years, the last 6 in fine dining. That being said I have never had an experience like I had tonight. I understand being busy but when it takes the bartender literally no exaggeration 15 minutes to greet me then another 10 to get a drink order then another 5 to make a drink I knew this may be bad. That being said after those 30 minutes our table was ready. We sat down and my menu has butter all over it which gets on my clothes etc. fine. Still decide to stay. We order food, the only bright light here was the server. She did a good job. Then we get our salads before we get our drinks and the salad bowl was dirty and not just a little dirty either. We then get our meals and my girlfriends steak was grey and over cooked. I know people bitch all the time about this that and the other but this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I have never written a review like this but it was the worst dining experience of my life. For the $75 we spent for two of us we could have gone to many other places. Long story short it sucked.

I have been to a Longhorn Steakhouse before in San Antonio, TX but I will say I was very impressed with the Thornton, CO restaurant. Yes, the food was excellent (no really) but I was very impressed with the service and genuine friendliness of the staff we dealt with directly. We arrived (party of three) at 4:00pm and did not have to wait at all so I would recommend going early as they are very popular. The food was succulent but hats off to Jacqueline J. for impeccable service.

Early dinner with a friend for his birthday on a Saturday. Interior is really well done, not too "country". Hostess, Manager, Bartender, and Waitress were all very friendly and welcoming. Dinner was great. We had the Renegade Sirloin and the Lobster Tail and Sirloin. For our friend's birthday, they brought out an ice cream sundae in a margarita glass on a plate with happy birthday spelled out in caramel. We will definitely be back.

I should have read some of the reviews before attempting to eat here. We had a later dinner to avoid the rush so we got there at 8 o'clock. We waited 30 minutes to be seated when we were told it would be 10 minutes for 2 people. I understand that things happen so I shrugged that off. When we were finally seated we waited 15 minutes for a server to come over to us. We ordered drinks and waited another 20 minutes before our server came back and said she was still waiting on our drinks from the bar. At that point we just left. I don't think I will be back.

I wish there was negative stars because this place was awful. It was a horrible experience, food was cold waited an hour past what they said. Waited forever for food and when it came it was cold cold steaks were cooked wrong waiter dropped my fork on the floor and set it back on the table all and all I will tell anyone not to eat here!

We started with a mis-understanding about reservations. We had thought we had reservations and they said they don't do reservations. After a discussion with the Manager, Tracy, we got a table. The Manager and the staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a great experience. The food was perfect and Tracy took great care of us. We will definitely come back. Everything was awesome.

The food was very tasty. I was just a TAD more expensive then Lonestar or Outback but I think the food was better quality. My Parmesan Crusted chicken was $15.99 for two breasts, a side and a salad (plus bread) so not too bad price wise. VERY busy, we got there at 4:50 and still had a 20 min. wait, so I suggest an early dinner or very late dinner. The wait staff were very friendly and responsive.

We went with a group of 9, four who were visiting from Norway. One of the girls are allergic to carrots and ask for no carrots, in her salad. The waitress assured us they didn't have carrots in their salads. The carrots were in the salad but finely shredded. Another ask for no cheese on her salad. She got cheese. The steaks were lukewarm and so were the baked potatoes. The prime rib was raw. Then it came back rubbery and tasted terrible. We complained. They took the prime rib off but a manager never visited our table. Very, very disappointed and we waited a long time before we were seated. We probably will not be back.

We waited forever to get a table, but no problem we knew we would have some what of a wait. Waitress was terrible never refilled our drinks had to wait forever for our check and to pay. Food was decent however I think it is a little pricy. Overall not sure if I will be back or not, probably stick to Texas Roadhouse!!

This was the first restaurant that I've actually walked out of before my meal even came! My husband and I went on a Sunday night at 8:45 and they were on a 20 minute wait with numerous open tables (poor planning). When we finally took our seat and ordered, it took 25 minutes to get our salads. We asked where the appetizer was and our server opened his notebook, mumbled something, and walked off without ever looking us in the eyes or telling us that he would go check on it. Our salads were delivered at different times by differenet servers (mine was literally slid in front of me). My husband's salad had a bug in it. At this point we asked to speak to a manager. When she came to our table my husband was trying to be polite (he hates complaining but even this experience was too much for him) and the server actually walked up to our table, which made it difficult for him to say too much about the service. The appetizer (mushrooms) finally came and while the plate was hot, the mushrooms were not. At this point we got up, found the manager, and let her know we would be happy to pay for our wine but that we would be leaving.

When I finally decided to try this place out after attending Lonestar for years I was not impressed!!! When we first walked in, the lady at the front was incredibly rude! It took our servers 15 minutes to get drinks to our table and 45 minutes to get our entrées out. 45 minutes!!!!!!! When we received our salads, all of our bowls had food on the bottoms and sides as if the hadn't been washed. Disgusting!! then when we finally revived our food, our plates also had food on the bottoms and the severs acted like it was a normal thing when we complained. Odd... My steak was way over cooked and flavorless. The baked potatoes were tiny and pathetic. And my lobster was small and rubbery! I will not be going to longhorn ever again. Everyone said Lonestar had some competition after longhorn opened up across the street, but after my horrible experience lonestar has nothing to worry about!!

Throroughly miserable experience. Steakhouse salad took 22 minutes to arrive. Plate and salad were very (as in teeth-hurting) cold, as if it had been stored in the freezer all day. Steak was OK. Carl the Bartender was nice enough but seemed to have too many duties and was rushed. Waited another ten minutes to pay after finishing plate and beer, with credit card in plain sight. Finally gave up and threw cash on the bar. I certainly didn't feel appreciated or welcome, so I don't think I'll be going back. There are many other dining options close by.

Decent food, decent service, LONG WAIT (I mean over an hour for our party of 2) however on our way to our table when we finally got it, I counted two empty clean tables and FIVE EMPTY tables that needed to be cleaned up. Also, $7.99 for a "shareable" appetizer of stuffed mushrooms which included all of five mushrooms and only two were large enough to be visible underneath a glob of greasy cheese. A little over priced and not worth the wait, so I doubt we'll ever recommend it or go back...

Should be 2 1/2 stars. Me and my partner came in for a late business lunch. They had just opened and was very busy. We had a 30 minute wait. I liked the interior. My partner didn't. He thought it was too plain. The server took forever to come and see us. My partner told her to keep his beers coming. If it's low, bring another. He sat beerless many times throughout our meal. He was not happy. He was also mad that they didn't have pitchers. I tried to explain that it would look kind of tacky at a place trying to be fancy. We started with The Shrimp and Lobster Dip. Shrimp and lobster baked with creamy mozzarella, parmesan and asiago cheese sauce. Served with warm tortilla chips. It was really good. Nice and creamy with a great flavor. It better be for 10 bucks. We both had steaks. I had the ribeye. It was pretty good. Not as good as I was hoping. It was cooked to my specification though. The sides were forgettable. I ordered their signature steak sauce that they prepare table side. I didn't realize that when I ordered it. Leave the cooking to the cooks. They didn't bring it out. My partner reminded me. I let them know. I stopped eating and waited. I wanted to enjoy the steak with the sauce. I did pay like 2 bucks for it. So by the time it came out, my food was not hot anymore. She stumbled through making it. As I expected. She isn't a cook. It was okay. Not even close to what we thought. All in all, we got a mediocre meal and bad service for like 90 dollars. My partner is known for tipping huge. He tips like 20-50 bucks all the time. He tipped 10% here. Unheard of for this guy.

We called ahead and didn't have to wait too long upon checking in. We were super excited to try this place after seeing so many commercials and reading the good reviews. We used a coupon for a free appetizer, the lobster and shrimp dip. It was mediocre, the taste was a little strong. Hubs ordered their sirloin, medium. His was perfectly cooked and tasted good. I ordered the shrimp and sirloin combo, medium. The steak came out well done and had an almost rotten, sour taste to it. I sent it back and about fifteen minutes later a waitress dropped it off quickly and moved on. I cut into and it was raw! I took a bite from the outside and it still had that awful taste to it. The waiter stopped by to tell me it would be out soon. I pointed to it already on the table and showed him that it was raw inside. I told him I wasn't going to send it back again and he apologized and said he would send the manager over. We waited for awhile and the manager came over. She was nice and asked if there was something else she could get me. I told her no that he was already done with his food but asked that she comp my meal. She did and also gave us a gift card to come back. But to be brutally honest, I don't think I will be going back. I would rather pay less money and get better food at Texas Roadhouse. I hate sending food back. But if it's so bad you have to send it back, someone should make sure it comes out right the second time. The only reason for the two stars, rather than one, is the niceness of the manager and the fact that hubs food came out okay. I really wanted to like this place but the experience literally left a bad taste in my mouth.

The wait wasn't too bad (45min) for a Friday. We had the stuffed mushrooms which were pretty good. The salad was okay. The let down was the steak. I ordered the Outlaw ribeye. It was cooked okay, but talk about shoe leather. I couldn't cut it let alone chew it easily. It was a very poor quality steak for a steakhouse. I will say the banana foster cheesecake was pretty good. All in all if I were in the area again I would probably go down the street to another steakhouse.

Long Horn is one of the best chain steak houses around. They seem to be growing in a casual dining market segment where everything else is shrinking. They offer good steaks and sides at reasonable prices. The location in Thornton is a free standing building on a pad in the shopping center grouped with many other restaurants.

Got take out. It was a quick order and they were ready on time. Steaks were okay. Cooked to order, salads were good. Baked potato was good. Location looked really nice...very hopping.

Typical Longhorn Steakhouse. Food was good and so was the service. My steak was prepared well. The bread is delicious here. This is a chain invest at a lot when I travel. There always seems to be a consistent level of service and food at all Longhorns.

Took friends here from out of state that love this place. They over cooked there steak twice, mine was over cooked as well but I decided to eat because I was hungry. The server alerted the manager and he did apologize and comp'd the steaks, which was not asked. The service was good, so we might try again soon.

Best steakhouse in North metro. They blow lone star away and are a cut above Outback. You will not find a more tender or more flavorful steak in this price range. Only bad thing is the wait. I think they could better utilize there seating during busy times.

This is the 3rd time we've been to this restaurant and each time the service has been terrible. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and there were only about a dozen tables full. Food is good, but not good enough to wait an hour for. We won't be back.

  • Pam E.

Had a not great experience for my birthday but will chalk up to growing pains. Met the manager who responded well to my critiques so I will give another chance.

First time here. Had the jalapeño shooters n the corn corn fritters followed by a delicious porterhouse for 2! Service was awesome. I recommend you visit at least once but do expect to wait! Well worth it!

All around disappointing, The food was mediocre and the service slow. Wish we would have stayed home and grilled. Texas Road House has better food and more resalable prices.

Service was slow, my steak was kinda bland. My husband had the cattleman's rib eye and it was juicy and flavorful. Don't mess around with the petite steaks.
