This is one of the highlights in terms of food in the small town of Morrison. I have been here many times and have always been pleased with the food and service. I have tried many things on the menu such as the French toast, biscuits and gravy, and the chicken sandwich. The food has always been good, some of the best in Morrison. Some people say that this place is dirty and the service is bad. The place is worn in but is expected in its 10+ years. But the service has been good every time I have come. I would highly recommend this place for travelers looking for a good home style meal.

I really enjoyed this little country place. I came in with 2 other people and we were seated immediately and had our food in front of us within 10 minutes, which was amazing, since we were starving. The food itself was fine, tasty, and plentiful. The sausage gravy was really nice, as it had an extra little something that made it stand out from the usual (can't put my finger on the seasoning). I also got one of the pecan rolls to take home and OH MY GOD - dude, that thing was worth the trip to Morrison just by itself. It's HUGE, and it has this crust of cinnamon and nuts on top that melts when you microwave it, making the whole thing delectable. Do yourself a favor and get one.

We waited ten minutes at our table and the server ignored us. We tried to get the attention of anyone and no one ever came. The people next to us did not receive service either. We will never go back. No wonder they are not busy.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but it showed me the quality of the food. Should have taken a picture. I ordered a ham scramble with hollandaise sauce (forgot the name of it). He brought it out and it looked like eggs smother in brown gravy. I was afraid to try it. I started by picking a piece of ham on the edge, which was stone cold. The rest was hot, so I have a feeling they popped it in the microwave. I was really hungry, so I ate a couple bites and my toast to fill up. Sorry - just nasty.

Service was good. We had a very friendly server for lunch. I got the Philly steak sandwich and paid an extra $1 for a side of soup. The philly steak wasn't anything special, the meat on it was pretty dry but the fries and broccoli cheddar soup were amazing! I would recommend the side of soup for a dollar if you are hungry, it comes in a huge bowl.

Greeter was about high school age. Pointed outside at a few tables. We seated ourselves. Menus were grubby with food stains and after nobody came out to the patio to check on us, we left. Very limited menu. Service level weak. Went across street to Mill Street Deli and Pub and got a smile, a greeting, a beer and a lemonade and a couple of tasty Angus burgers. Bottom line : don't bother

Italian omelet one pound of sausage in a cold egg covered with canned marinara sauce. Biscuits and Gravy combo, burnt scrambled eggs, biscuits that taste like they were a old and bacon so hard it could chip a tooth, luke warm potatoes. Paid the check left the food on the table.

I am a fan of this breakfast establishment. The food is always good - too much food most of the time and it is priced right! The sausage burrito is great! The regular breakfast could use one more slice of bacon to make it 4 rather than 3, but that's OK. The place is always busy over the weekend, but the wait is OK and the staff really hustles.

I've never had bad service or food at the TNT. The best is the Italian scramble. YUM! The wait staff is always attentive, keeps my coffee coming, and are friendly. Best breakfast spot in the foothills.

If I could give it three and a half stars i would but alas I can not... The food was good, not life changing.... The atmosphere was homey I guess.... The service was pretty good... Nothing was bad, and how many options do you have right around here? I had the french dip with french fries, the fries were really good my buddy had onion rings they were really good too... The french dip was good too, I had to ask for au jus, and she actually said oh would you like a side of au jus? That struck me as a lil backward... All in all it was good times though!

I went here today with my family after a fall drive. We had a really pleasant meal on the patio. The service was what really made the place special. The prices were also really reasonable. The cinnamon rolls are as big as your face and can easily be split by several people. One only costs 2.99. The french fries were really great as well. This places feels so comfortable. I'll be back.

Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone with basic tastes looking for a big breakfast. It's not the nicest food you'll ever eat in terms of flavor, but it's definitely not bad. Just sort of plain. The portions and pricing, however, are phenomenal, especially compared to the rest of ritzy downtown Morrison. This is the kind of place a college kid or cheapskate goes to buy a whole day's worth of food in one meal, but it's a mountain place too. Friendly, diner-like feel and you can tell that there are a lot of regulars. Great hangover food. Highs: - Magnificent portions and incredible prices. It's hard to believe this place makes money serving so much food. - Friendly, experienced staff. - Decent parking situation Lows - Food flavor is just OK. Ordered a steak and mushroom breakfast burrito, steak didn't taste like it had been seasoned or marinated prior to cooking (plain). Tossing some seasonings/veggies into the burrito would make a big difference (plain borderline bland). Hashbrowns needed salt (but that's an easy fix). My wife's breakfast was good but sort of bland. ...there's a theme here. - Staff don't wear uniforms, same color t-shirts, etc. Hard to tell who works there, and sort of unprofessional to see high-school kids wearing their school sweatshirts to work. Seems like an easy fix (only not a big deal). - They're not wasting money on chairs, tables, menus, etc. There's nothing refined about this joint, but I suppose the name sort of gives that away.

Simple and humble. Yes, the menus are paper and may have stains. Yes, the ambiance is that of a small town diner. But, the food was great and the price was right! I had the Santa fe omelette and it was very tasty. The portions are easily enough for two so consider sharing.

First and last time dining at TnT. Our group of 7 met for breakfast at this quaint, but busy foothills location. We chose to dine on the patio located next to the river. Wonderful location to enjoy a leisure mountain breakfast. We were greeted and seated promptly. Drink orders were taken almost immediately...then we waited...and waited...and waited. Ten minutes to receive a glass of water. One of our guests ordered a latte; that took over 20 minutes and a reminder to the waitress, who replied "I know. I have to make it so its going to be a few more minutes". Our food arrived almost 40 minutes into our visit. There's a note on the menu advising that everything is homemade and to expect it to take longer to prepare. Ok, I'd have no problem accepting a longer wait IF the food was worth waiting for...its not. Eggs were greasy, hash browns even greasier and toast was hard. All in all, the food was barely acceptable. Thankfully, the cheap prices reflected the low quality of our food. After a 40 minute wait, who's going to complain and risk waiting another 40 minutes? Our waitress did her best. There were just too many people for her to keep up. Save your money and try anywhere else. Its bound to better than dining at TnT Country Kitchen.

Great mountains of food for low $$. Try the Canadian breakfast burrito!

My friends near here said this is "the spot" and I get it. Although the day we went it was raining and promising to pour, the deck over the river looked like the place to spend a quiet breakfast or brunch. Of course we were there on a Saturday morning with the rest of Morrison (I think the majority of touristas were safely hiding in the suburbs) so I think our pleasant waitress wasn't quite able to cope (I'm not a fan of lukewarm or sending it back to a stressed to the max kitchen). I had a highly recommended chorizo break. burrito with home fries and it was tasty by greasy spoon standards (can't recommend their chile though. no heat and I don't believe onions belong in green chile). The wife had huevos rancheros and mirrored my complaint about the chile and cold food and the kid had a Santa Fe omelette with hash browns (read her review under Mariko Y). The table next to us was wolfing down a 'full stack" and it looked like a must try so we also shared a pancake but I think we should have opted for the beer batter pancake because the cake we had didn't have the same appearance (color and loft). I'd definitely eat here again but I will avoid the mex style dishes and stick with my G.spoon favs.

Well, TNT's cook and their cooking needs a little TLC... This wasn't my first time eating in this restaurant but it will probably be awhile before I go back. I ordered a chicken burrito and like other reviewers here didn't care much for their green chili on top of the Mexican food. It just doesn't have a good flavor to it. But the main reason I didn't enjoy the food this time is that I got a two or three inch piece of plastic in my food which at first I didn't notice so I kept eating, but later pulled it out of my burrito which turned my stomach. I showed the waitress and she said it was probably the wrap that the chicken was wrapped in. (I felt so much better) she offered me half off my meal which I took. (I should have asked for a free meal.) I pretty much eat anything put in front of me but I do draw the line at foreign things in my food. I have like other reviewers got some what sub standard food here before but the service was always good and the atmosphere is nice. so I kept going back from time to time. I have never been a regular by any means though. And it will be quite a while before I get the urge to try them again. But I think the cooking could be better.

We were very loyal to this restaurant and just today we decided not to come back. We would always bring our dogs with us for a lovely breakfast at TNT. This morning an eccentric old lady brought her sheltie with her to the restaurant. Our three border collies were very calm until the eccentric old lady's sheltie started barking. Our border collies returned the barking. The lady with the sheltie did not take hint. When the lady with the sheltie got way to close my wife told her very nicely "Please don't bring your dog over here." Still no response, my wife repeated "Please don't bring your dog over her. in a little louder voice. The lady with the sheltie scuttled around a bit then left. Just before taking our order one of the waitress' wearing a visor and a blue shirt starting accusing us of chasing off the customer. She did not even ask what happened, she just blindly accused us of riding her customers off with her teeth gritted. We very politely explained what happened and she would not accept our side of the story. Finally after about ten minutes she stormed off and refused to help us or serve us. She got the busman to follow in her footsteps. My wife had a talk with the manager and she was not convinced anything will change. So long nasty woman with the visor and your busman helper. We will not be back till you change your childish behavior.

You can't go wrong with burgers, burritos, egg scrambles, or fries. I hear they roast decent coffee but I can't testify to this. I ordered a bunless burger with grilled onions and mushrooms, and it was cooked exactly as I hoped. Tasty, too. The tap water was also good. Tsk on poor reviewers complaining about service. For my party, it was normal.

Im in here every week, it's a great spot for a quality breakfast. I also agree with some of the other reviews concerning service. It is very inconsistent & depends heavily on the amount of people in the restaurant. I don't blame the waitstaff for being short handed, I blame management who also should look in to updating the restaurant a bit. Spend some money to make some money.

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch and we were extremely pleased with the service and food. We had a very pleasant server, don't remember his name, but he was medium height, thin, and with blonde hair. My boyfriend got one of the specials which was a burger with Swiss cheese, ham, and some other stuff; he still won't stop talking about it. I got a basic grilled cheese which was great. Out favourite part was the fries, which are so incredibly delicious. We have decided that the next time we come to visit my parents in Morrison, we will stop by for breakfast!

Our family comes here every year before we cut Christmas trees together. Its big enough for our family, and the staff is really accommodating. I wish the parking lot had a defined entrance and exit to make it easier to navigate. The food isn't spectacular, but its good for a quick, inexpensive meal.

We ended up here after a visit to Red Rocks. The outside seating was lovely -- right by the creek and walking path in downtown Morrison -- and they allowed us to bring my puppy along. The service was friendly, as well. The food, on the other hand, was the major issue. My visiting friend got pieces of a plastic cup in her veggie burrito. When she sent it back, they apologized and noted it was the remains of a dixie cup in the beans. However, they still charged her for the burrito they brought out as a replacement, which was odd. Obviously, she had lost her appetite and could barely eat the new one. Also, the bathrooms were pretty gross, as were the other items we ordered -- or perhaps we were just a little turned off by the plastic cup in our co-patron's order. All and all, I do not see us going back.

Went for breakfast, we were seated quickly. But then it took a while before the waitress came around. Ordered a flavored coffee and watched it sit on the counter up front for 20 minutes before the waitress brought us our coffees. Then it took even longer for our food to arrive. My scrambled eggs looked like they sat under the heat lamp for way too long, they were a weird yellow. But I thought I would still eat them, took a bite and the entire top side of them were completely hard. I ended up spitting them out into my napkin. The flavored coffee was yummy, just cold since it had sat for a while before being brought to us. Would not recommend to anyone.

Enjoyed breakfast with friends here. The menu selections were plenty. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon and a chai latte. All were good and portions were huge. Friends all ordered some egg concoctions with home fries and corned beef and seemed happy (at least there was little conversation while munching down and, if anything was left on the plates it was because they were full). Service was cordial and efficient and prices were decent.

Maddie and I came here for coffee but ended up splitting a B & G combo. The waiter was so giving because she split the plate for us and gave us each a biscuit! So good and perfect amount of food for two!

  • Max B.

The food was alright, but pretty bland flavors and a pretty serious lack of creativity on the menu. The service was absolutely horrible! Sat down in an almost empty restaurant and waited almost 15 minutes before the waitstaff even acknowledged us. Then it took another 20 minutes to get water, and the coffee took even longer. We should have just left then, but we were starving, so we waited it out. By the time the food did finally come out, it looked like the meals I used to make as a broke college student, and tasted pretty similar. (Had breakfast, by the way) Can't really recommend this place to anyone. Go to Golden, where the food is WAY better.

was there 6/26/15. the waitress was great. the omelet was terrible. raw on the inside. you need a new cook. place was too busy to send back. took long enough to even get the order.

Mmmm.. they have the most amazing cinnamon rolls and french fries. I like this place a lot. They have a fabulous patio located in bustling Morrison. We go there frequently. Their portion sizes are HUGE- Consider sharing. Their food can be a little hit and miss depending on what you order, but I have always considered it to be pretty good, but Breakfast is definitely their forte. Try to get a patio seat and enjoy. Their service is great, as well. :)

  • Meagan M.

Food is ok. Service was not great. But the biggest problem is that everything is just dirty. Dead flies in the window sills, what appears to be mold in the bathroom. The whole place needs to be swept, mopped, and just cleaned in general.

Just a quick update, my wife and I are locals and love to stop in for breakfast here. The lunch is great too, but we just really enjoy a nice morning stop. Service has always been great and food is awesome. Great spot to stop on your way into the mountains.

I will be brief -- get the BEER CAKES -- pancakes made with beer. They are excellent. I have been coming here for 10 years just for these. They have a private lot, but this place gets insanely busy, especially in the Summer. Parking is at a premium in Morrison during the Summer.

This place has a three star rating so we were skeptical about eating here. They have a great patio and decided to give it a try. The steak burrito was awesome and the service was too.

No complaints here. Adequate parking, nice patio, great food, great staff and great location. I recommend it during the summer months to enjoy the patio. Inside is a bit small. Breakfast burritos are delicious! Delish! Amazing! Mouth is watering thinking about the breakfast burritos!

Worse service ever! We go out to eat all the time and never had such a disaster! The restaurant was being run by kids! I asked for no cheese on my salad and asked for my hash browns extra crispy. My salad arrived with cheese and the waitress plopped them on the table. I choose not to complain about the cheese on my salad but when my hash browns came out looking raw, I asked if I could get new hash browns, not a new meal, the waitress walked around the corner and screamed! My husband asked to speak to the manager, we got a young assistant manager. His response was just excuses. "She's having a tough day and we are busy". Excuses for bad behavior is not ok. Then they taking the garbage out right passed our table twice! This place needs adult supervision and a good manager before I'd attempt this place again.

Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon, my first visit to Morrison. There is a main street ( i guess, as main as i have seen that day) with a few bars/grills, speciliaty shops... and we were exploring options, and decided to try out TNT. There IS public parking next to the restaraunt ( some signs state 3 hours)... and the outdoor seating is next to a nice little path were you can see joggers and walkers passby. It was a warm-in-the-sun kind of day, and when we walked into the restaraunt it was so stuffy and warm inside we selected to sit in the outdoor seating. Which was fine, because is it 85% shaded ( yeah!!) Hmmm, what stuck out to me? They have Breakfast all day. They DO take MC and VISA ( I sometimes wonder in little places like that). They do NOT serve Alcohol ( a place for that across the street). I had a Country Chicken sandwich, gravy on the side ( this is important because I heard when they smother it, they smother it) so i could ration it on my sandwhich. My other half had a cheesburger. The service was on the slower side, however, the day was beautiful and the views were pleasant, so it was not that big of a problem. The service WAS pretty friendly :) The food was good. I liked the fries were crispy ( i'm a sucker for those), and I truely enjoyed the chickent sandwhich, I tried the burger too ( we always share so I can taste more than one thing :) )... and I thought it was good.. a nicely packed burger, yum... Sad face for no wifi, I ALWAY love to log into my ipod or laptop and not having to use my mega pricy wifi device ... Lastly, the price. We came super hunger, we ate some nice sized portions, left full.... all for $20.58

Went there on a Tuesday morning with my dad after a hike, location is great, right on the river. Sat on the patio, server was very very nice and kept the fresh coffee filled. Very helpful when ordering my food gluten and dairy free. I do have to say...I had the italian sausage omelette with green peppers and onions and all I could really see was the sausage...not a whole lot of veggies...they were very sparce and I couldn't even eat all the sausage. Overall not very healthy breakfast food I don't think which is why it gets three starts but very accommodating and we had an awesome waitress!!

I've been here twice, and will be back for more, finding it the perfect place to relax after exploring at Red Rocks or Bear Creek State Park. TNT Country Kitchen is clean, plays music that doesn't intrude or overpower conversation, and serves what is, to my taste, the best bacon-cheese burger in the area. It consists of a sizeable slab of beef which seems to weigh between 1/3 and 1/2 pound after grilling, topped with tasty cheese and a very generous helping of thick bacon slices. It's really good, but the meal is made even better by the lightly battered fries, very light and crispy! I thought the price was very reasonable for a burger that tasted this good. I've paid more and enjoyed them much less at some other restaurants. I know servers work for tips, but service here has been extremely good. Ashlynn has waited on me both times I visited, and I couldn't ask for more. She's been very friendly, warm, and professional every time, keeps the coffee cup filled, does everything you want a server to do. TNT is right next to the public parking lot in Morrison.

I have eaten at TnT about a dozen times and it is always tasty and the crew is always friendly. A decent place for breakfast or lunch.... often have reasonably priced specials. Most food seems home made. A lot of what I have had there is on the unhealthier side, with heavy use of butter, bacon and other fatty foods - but that also makes it very tasty. Even the vegetarian options are not very health conscious. I would like to see some healthier options on the menu. Great deck for warm weather dining, right on Bear Creek with nice mountain views.

All these other reviews are right on; the place is dirty, the service is very slow (and we had 8 so the tip was still 18%, which really annoyed me given how bad the waitress was), but the food is good and the prices are great. The portions are also large, which makes the value even better. The green chili was not particularly great though.

Second and final time I will eat here. Food was very diisappointing, I find it difficult to understand why food is incorrect. it should be fairly simple. my food was cold and we did not see the server again until she dropped off the check. I would have thought with all the competition in the area they might have standards?

  • Josh M.

This place is terrible. At the waitresses suggestion I had the chicken burrito. It was flavorless. I could only eat 3 bites and I couldn't take anymore. The service was lacking also. There were very few tables and service took a very long time. I wouldn't recommend coming here. There is a grill across the street that is MUCH better. Long story short, if you're in the area don't go here! Go anywhere else!!!

Tasty! Good service, and good food. Good prices too. The green chile is good, but not nearly as spicy as I like it.

  • Paul W.

Gross! The walls and floors were dirty, and my silverware had food on it. I should have known to turn around as soon as I walked in and had to wait 5 minutes to have the waitress tell me sit anywhere. I will not be visiting this place again.

Done breakfast here a few times. Food is good and portions are HUGE. Always wind up taking good home, not a bad thing. Best thing so far, country breakfast burrito. Massive tortilla stuffed with egg, sausage, bacon, green peppers, and ... wait for it ... smothered in country gravy. I'll give you a minute to compose yourself ... time's up. You take good, home style food and pair it with great service and you got a winner. The ladies that work in the mornings are super friendly, super fast and keep your coffee full. Next time you are headed thru, stop on by.

Ate Sunday breakfast here. Patio was full so ended up inside but a good view of street and town. I had the ham breakfast burrito with green chili and it was great. The staff are friendly and the place had a real local Colorado feel. Try it, you will like it...

More like 2.5 stars. The staff was very friendly and we had good service. The "down-home" country feel didn't really appeal to me. However, I was with a friend and we'd gone hiking. After the hike, we were both ravenous and needed a space where we could sneak in a purse dog, so this place ended up suiting the bill. Food was meh in my opinion. I doubt if I would ever go back. Prices were pretty inexpensive for the amount of food received. I ordered pancakes which were ok, but nothing to write home about. It's certainly not the worst place I've ever eaten, but probably wouldn't go back.

  • Michelle S.

This is definitely a no-frills joint but the service is good. The staff were attentive and brought over a coloring mat and crayons for my friend's daughter, as soon as we arrived. We were there for lunch and I had the chef salad. Can't really go wrong with that. The prices are good, the downtown location is convenient, the portions are ample...but the food just doesn't wow you.

Food is decent, I'll say that right off. But I do have relatively large complaints with a few other things: One: The walls are covered with grease and dirt and foodstuffs. Ditto with the chairs and tables. Eww. Two: Plain, unappealing atmosphere. Not necessarily unpleasant- just very unprofessional and lackadaisical. Three: Not like this is a felony, but their menus are pretty lame. Folded-up paper stained with food, coffee, and grime. Four: We walked in and a man asked, "Inside or out?" When we told him we'd prefer to sit inside, he pointed to a table and said, "You can go sit over there in the corner." Hmm, thanks. Classy. Five: Here's the kicker. The place wasn't terribly crowded. Towards the end of our breakfast, some people sat at the table next to us. I overheard them mention to the waitress that a few other people would be joining them. The waitress (who otherwise was friendly) came up to our table while we were finishing our drinks, and asked if we wouldn't mind moving to another table. Now, I am not a bioootch, nor am I a selfish, ego-maniacal diner who is appalled at the slightest of inconveniences. So we got up without argument. Not the end of the world- fine, have our table. But it certainly made me feel unwelcome and unappreciated and disrespected. It's the type of thing that just shouldn't happen at a decent establishment, you know? With so many other good restaurants in the world, with so much good service out there, I simply cannot give this restaurant more than one star. And I certainly will not be back. There are a few other restaurants within walking distance that I will try next time I'm in the vicinity.

I had breakfast here for the first time this morning. I thought the chorizo breakfast burrito and the home fries were both excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant enough in a roadhouse kind of way, and the waitress was terrific. I'm anxious to go back and try their early bird specials (6:00-8:30), cinnamon rolls and beer batter pancakes. I'll keep you posted!

Ahh, back to my mountain man roots! I met a friend here for breakfast while I was in town visiting family. This place is not fancy, it is not the place to take Mom for Mothers day brunch or to take that special someone the "morning after". It is a great place to get fueled up before hitting the mountains. It reminds me of my roots, getting a huge breakfast of seasoned potatoes and a breakfast burrito stuffed with chorizo and eggs and smothered with mystery chili before taking off for the hills to hike, climb or some crazy thing. Unfortunately now that I am an old geezer I went home and crashed on the couch for an hour. We had great friendly service, that did not mind us sitting around for 2 hours reminiscing and drinking coffee. A half way decent breakfast with good coffee. I would go back, especially if I needed to get fueld up for a big hike.

The only good thing I can say about this place is they were able to accommodate us with no waiting on Mother's Day sans reservations. However, the most likely reason WHY they were so not busy on such a typically packed brunch/lunch/dinner holiday? They are mediocre and everyone else seemed to know it already. My mother-in-law requested to go somewhere she's never been to in the Foothills... a rather broad request, so we zeroed in on Morrison and selected this joint. Service: Meh. Our waitress visited us a total of 4 times: to take our order; to serve our order (15 minutes later without checking for drink refills); to check on our order (which was partially wrong); to drop off our check. Oh, and she tossed my philly cheese steak sandwich basket in front of me so a landing was involved. Food: Definitely have experienced better as far as a philly cheese steak sandwich (i.e. Pete's Kitchen). My fries and my lemonade were good, but the sandwich took me a while to get through as I had to really work on chewing the steak chunks. My husband, however, enjoyed his chorizo breakfast burrito, and he verified the coffee was good. But we had asked for sausage links for my son, and instead he got burnt bacon. Location: It's in Morrison just on the river, so that's a plus. We didn't eat outside since a large table wasn't available on our arrival, but I could see this being a nice place to eat, especially for breakfast (really, how can anyone really mess up pancakes) on a nice summer morning. All in all... I enjoyed our post-lunch stroll along the river more than the meal and service in their entirety. This place should thank the lovely mountain ambiance of Morrison for making up for the rest of their dining experience.

One word: yuck. Ok, maybe two words, since my friend and I were inspired to made up a new one while dining at this fine establishment: "barfworthy." Sure, the portions are huge, but you're never gonna eat it anyway, because it's seriously awful. And it's obvious the waitresses know how bad the food is, because not once did ours come back to ask how everything was, or how it was tasting. I don't blame them; I guess I wouldn't really want to invite complaints on a regular basis either. We sat outside, and while waiting for our food, I couldn't help but notice that what looked like hundreds of little splenda/sugar packets and other various bits of trash littered the ground all around the outer edge of the patio dining area. It seemed really sloppy of whomever was in charge to just leave garbage strewn about in plain view. Then, as if the experience wasn't already *barfworthy* enough, the last straw on my way out was the condition of the bathroom. It was filthy. The doors were covered in grime, and the sink and toilet were old and dirty as well. On a somewhat unrelated side note, I didn't really subtract any stars for decor, but the women's restroom walls are filled with weird paintings of angels and posters listing "100 things an angel would say" (or something like that) and all kinds of weird quotes having to do with angels. While it creeped me out at first, I actually did burst out laughing in the dirty bathroom once I realized how ridiculous my experience at this restaurant was. If you're thinking of eating here, my advice is to just flush $25 down the nearest toilet and spare yourself the trouble of a bad experience.

Okay, short and sweet. Took the family to TNT yesterday to switch it up....wrong choice. All was going fine until the food hit the table. All four dishes involved scrambled eggs, maybe 5 eggs between all of them. My wife's "skillet" was nothing more than eggs, potatoes, and bacon,, DROWNING in holindaise. My burrito was some ingredients with a tortilla thrown over it. The gravy was good, I'll give them that. It just seemed like no pride was put into the food, especially for being as slow as they were. The kicker was, when I asked if I could use a coupon only expired by 3 days, she just looked at me and said, "that's why they expire". Being in the industry myself, in this day and age, there's always room for exceptions. So, next time we're in the area, we're going to stay the course, drive the extra 8 miles to Kitteredge, and have a great meal at Country Road Cafe. A dollar or two more per dish.....and worth it's weight in gold!

Ah, family. For some reason there is always this undercurrent of tension that even the best intentions can't erase. We always "know" what's best for each other and don't hesitate to make it abundantly clear. Well, we did have a really good meal (and a reasonably good time) at TNT Country Kitchen. My omelette--ham, cheddar and peppers (I'd ordered ham, cheddar and mushrooms) was tasty, the potatoes were good and the OJ was OK. Service is relaxed here, but pleasant. If you are able to, sit outside so the sun filters through the wood and vines immersing you in dappled sunlight. (This gives it the extra push to go from 3 to 4 stars). Even MY family couldn't pick at each other much in that great environment. And happiness abounded.

I'm craving their tuna sandwich as I begin to write this review. It is seriously the best grilled tuna sandwich I've ever had. I often stop at TNT for lunch after running Red Rocks. I've only gotten the tuna melt here, but everything else I've seen come out of the kitchen (breakfast and lunch) looks delicious. There is something to be said about the energy that goes into family owned businesses... it just makes the food taste amazing... it's an ingredient that corporate-owned restaurants can't seem to capture. The building is a little plain and some decor would warm it up inside, but the food makes up for it. Well, at least my sandwich does.

I met a friend here as Morrison is pretty much halfway between her house and mine. We ate on a Thursday around 11:30. There were some other tables but it was not crowded at all. Apparently weekends get pretty busy here. It was a "grandfather" restaurant as we called them in my family. A place that serves good coffee; breakfast all day; and a variety of other fare. I had a special: two blueberry pancakes served with bacon. I ordered a side of link sausage for my daughter. Our friend had a sausage breakfast burrito. The burrito was gigantic, topped with meat (chicken? pork?) studded green chili and served with hash-browns. The hash-browns were pretty tasty in their greasy salty way. My pancakes were full of big juicy blueberries and were pretty good. They could have been a bit more moist and I'm dinging this place for not serving real butter, or even provided a dab of real butter when asked. Land-o-lakes vegetable oil plus a small percentage of real butter just doesn't cut it. The sausages appeared to be the frozen brown and serve sort, the kind that is sort of lumpy and doesn't look like a real sausage. The taste was ok. Bacon was better. Quite good coffee. The milk shake we heard being made and then saw being delivered looked really good. If I'm in the area again I'd likely go here for lunch instead of the Morrison Inn which was mediocre, although PACKED when we tried that for dinner over the summer on the same night as a Red Rocks show. But first I'll try Beso, the Mill Street Pizza and Sub shop and the Blue Cow. We had planned to try the Blue Cow but it was closed as they were remodeling the kitchen. It planned to re-open 12/12/2008. Handicap accessible (it states, I can't vouch for accessibility) bathroom with baby changing table. Fairly clean. Friendly if "relaxed" service, to quote another reviewer The deck overlooking the creek looked lovely, and is quite large. I imagine it would be great in the summer.

We just left TNT Country Kitchen with our house guest and I saying we would never go back. The restaurant was not extraordinarily busy. There was plenty of seating inside and no wait for outside seating. We waited a long time to even be greeted by the waitress to begin with. Service was terrible. Our food was cold, we had no utensils, and had to wait while our waitress remembered to come back with some. We couldn't get refills on our coffee unless we stopped someone with the pot in hand. The food has never been sensational, but it is plentiful. This time it looked like slop. The bacon wasn't even fully cooked. I can understand a casual country atmosphere, but this place is the worst. Seems to be run by a bunch of children. The table next to us had the same experience. They had the presence of mind to send their food back. To add insult to injury, there was food spilled all over the patio floor. When we saw the waitress drop toast from a plate she didn't even stop to pick it up. TNT has lost my business. To bad we live very close.
