Hands down one of the most magical places i have ever stayed. Ever! We stayed in the Peking palace and the decor was eclectic and beautiful. The staff here was extremely helpful and drove us to the top of red rocks for a show. It was a cold show with snow flurries so the hot tub was a welcome treat to come back too. I'm in love with Morrison and this place! Breakfast was great too, the preset coffee maker in the room was a nice touch. Thank you so much for the memorable night. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

Anybody who has ever been to Red Rocks knows that it is the best concert venue hands down! I didn't think it could get any better, but it did. We stayed at the Cliff House after an O.A.R. concert and it made the experience more magical and memorable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hot tub was the cherry on top of a great day and evening. I will always make sure to stay here when I go to a concert at Red Rocks.

Good and close to Red Rocks Amphitheater. Nice, comfortable surroundings. Wasn't able to catch breakfast, but was great having coffee from a French Press in the cabin before heading to the airport.

Cliff House Lodge was just what we were looking for! Let me be clear, the 5 stars is not a reflection of the accommodations. The cottage was rustic but met our needs. The kitchen was convenient and the shower did its job. The private hot tub was a welcome treat after a day of exploring. They also have a main house where guests are welcome to mingle with other guests and relax. The high rating is for the friendliness of the staff, who voluntarily drove us to our show at Red Rocks. Also the location was perfect. Just a short walk from the Main Street of Morrison with easy access to their great shops and dining options. If you are looking for a welcoming and comfortable (not fancy) place to stay, close to Red Rocks and beautiful scenery this is a great option. We will stay again!

My wife stayed here since we went to a concert at Red Rocks. I think some of the negative reviews are expecting the wrong thing from this place. No, it's not the fanciest place. The AC barely works. The staff doesn't come into your room everyday and make your bed. It never occurred to me to ask. Maybe they would if requested. But, we were fine with that because it was nice and private. We weren't bothered by anyone. Both the staff and patrons seemed like good people. Note to owners: it would help if you could open a window to get airflow without leaving your front door open while having the door to the private patio open. 3/4 of our AC use was due to not being able to easily get outside air into the cottage. A good exhaust fan out ceiling would fix that. All of the staff and the owners were very nice. Breakfast was good. Some people will love the style, some will hate it.

I'm not surprised the reviews here make a big ol' pendulum swing from 1 to 5 stars, with little in between. There was noise bleed and things are a little rough around the edges-- and for the price, if you want sparkle and polish, you'll be very disappointed in your purchase. But we LOVED it. Daniel had kept track of the fact that we were headed to Red Rocks and offered up the best hiking trail to get there. (YAY for not fighting the crush!) The hot tub (Hogback Hideaway) was deep and had good jets, and faced the beautiful hills. They provide plastic wine glasses, knowing guests will wish to have a beverage near the tub. The bed was lushly appointed, the art interesting and eclectic. We opted for time in the hot tub rather than attending yoga, but that's an option at the lodge, too. We found the place beautiful-- though the website photos had led us to believe the themed rooms might be a bit... cheesy. (Angela and Daniel-- you might think of offering Michael Ensminger a weekend stay in exchange for photographing the place. He'd fall in love with the lodge and would certainly capture its charms!)

Such a special place. This is my husband and I new favorite stay-cation spot! Great parking and easy to get to. And was walking distance to many restraints. Our private hot tub was very clean and the room was beautiful. We even had omelets made to order for us in the morning!

If you don't smoke anything, you won't like it here. There aren't no smoking areas. You aren't allowed to wear swimming suits in the hot tub, but there's a lawyer with binoculars on the hillside. Host and hostess are in different to guest concerns.they were busy entertaining their friends. The Wi-Fi did not work in the out cabinets. Air-conditioning didn't work. Decor was rustic and cleanliness was optional. I think they only cleaned when they felt like it, which wasn't often. Towels were never changed. Not worth the very expensive rates.

I stayed one night of a long-weekend-around-CO in the Dino Den of the Cliff House Lodge (definitely wish it could have been more than one!) The place is eclectic and quirky in all the good, not-pretentious ways. My group spent an amazing evening under the stars in our hot tub after a great dinner based on the advice of the owners. The owners were incredibly responsive and accommodating. They loaned us equipment not stocked by default in the kitchen, they laughed off and replaced within a half-hour a broken bed (no hanky panky was involved!), brought us a delicious breakfast, gave us little tours and advice and were hilarious and welcoming the entire time. Our cottage was clean and cozy and kitschy. It's not the kind of four-star utterly flawless hotel or BnB some people may want for a getaway, but if you want your experience to be with great people in an everybody-welcome kind of atmosphere, it's absolutely perfect. I will be back. The only thing that made me sad was that the big-cat-fur rug shown in a promo video of the Dino Den on youtube was no longer there when we arrived. They made up for it by having adorable live kitties who love snuggles from guests on the premises!

Staff was incredibly helpful, offering advice for hikes and even personally drawing us a map for how to shortcut the walk to Red Rocks. Breakfast was really good. Room was nicely decorated and offered all the amenities I was hoping for. Air took a while to cool down the room, but to be fair it was over 90 degrees and the staff told us they have a new window unit on order for that cottage. Hot tub and private patio were totally amazing - I could have stayed out there my entire trip and enjoyed myself. Thank you Cliff House Lodge for making me love the little town of Morrison!

Angela, I have traveled for work for 8 years and stayed at many hotels. We also travel leisurely world wide and stay at many different types of hotels. There are noises people encounter in hotels, but we have never encountered the kind of noise and the volume at any hotel we have slept in over 30 plus years except for your B & B. Please don't try to discount out horrible experience at your place. You are correct in that we should have allowed you to rectify it during our one night stay. However this occurred when the office was closed so you could not have moved us to another room. You may want to insulate the walls better. Try sleeping in the room with guests in the other room and learn for yourself. You obviously are not committed to improving your guests experience if all you can comment about are generalizations. In addition, I wonder how unaware you truly were regarding the presence of a film crew in your hotel. Especially due to comments that were overheard involving you and another during our check-in.

Never again. Filthy, hot, over priced beyond belief. We drank the "complimentary" champagne after washing a dead bug out of the glass, and left. That was how we wasted $300.00 that day. Cancellation policy doesn't exist and don't expect a refund under any circumstances.

Staff was friendly upon check-in and did give us a flashlight for the hike back from our concert, which was very nice. The compound is lovely with eclectic cottages and a very cool looking main house. My initial thought was this was a great classic Colorado mountain town gem. My husband and I along with our two friends stayed in the Dino Den awaiting a concert at Red Rocks. The cabin was awful. It stayed approximately 85 degrees in the cabin even with the windows that could open and that had screens until about 3 in the morning. The one shower stall was located in one of the bedrooms and didn't close properly, the 'bathroom' had no sink, a toilet that wouldn't flush properly, and a huge claw foot useless bathtub out fitted with a sink faucet that when turned on sprayed water so hard directly against the tub it went everywhere. The two washroom sinks (which were both located in corners of the bedrooms) were clogged from hair that was not ours and did not drain. My husband who didn't think he could handle the heat of the bedroom we were in thought he'd catch some sleep in the couch in the living room. He lasted 10 minutes before something scurried across the floor and knocked over his water bottle. Squirrel, mouse, rat..who knows. Neither of us would get under the covers because A) it was sweltering and B) we were honestly freaked out about bugs. Plaster was falling off walls and ceilings. The carpet looked to be about 30 years past it's prime. The floors were so uneven after enjoying one cocktail you feel like you've had six. I hope they are able to gut this cabin and any others like this. I can do eclectic and funky. But I will not do this again.

Very expensive and pricing unclear on website prior to revision. At time of reservation no email or snail mail confirmation sent re dates and rates. Dirty through out Rose Cottage from wine glasses to carpet; no air conditioning and no instruction on "evaporative cooler"; this hot tub (with no clothing allowed) is in full view of neighbor's porch up the hill; no place to put luggage; and wifi not available in this cottage. Went to common areas to wifi and if people were present, they were smoking (not just tobacco but it's legal). And usually a lot of people were present, friends or guests, I don't know. No "no smoking" area available and if people were not there smoking, their cigarette butts remained in overflowing ashtrays. Much repair and updating needed that would not compromise integrity of historical structure. On the plus side, breakfast was good, kitchen staff were helpful and friendly.

We loved our stay at the Cliff House. A romantic getaway close to Denver, but we felt like we were in a faraway place. We soaked in our private outdoor hot tub and walked to the downtown area for dinner, just around the block. The Dino Den was quaint and had a nice patio and the tub was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the robes were a nice touch. We could hear the little creek just on the other side of the property. I didn't know the previous owners that other people complained about, but the new owners are very nice. When I thought we had left something in the cottage, the owner went to check right away. We will be back to try the other cottages.

Fantastic place for romantic getaway or tryst ;). I found myself @ a local bar in Morrison with friends and by the end of the night, I was in no shape to drive. Being the Fri after Thanksgiving, no way I was going to drive 40 min. back home. Thanks to Yelp, found the Cliff House only a stones throw from the bar. The front desk clerk was very helpful and accommodating - especially considering the state I was in ;-). The "bungalow" he put me in was one of the most romantically furnished I've stayed in. Besides the lovely bed, bathroom, shower, his and her robes; the jacuzzi bath with choice of romantic lotions provides everything needed for a wonderful getaway. There's even a microwave, fridge, sitting area & large TV/DVD so going out is optional. The champagne breakfast served in room next morning was over the top. P.S. I wasn't even in the "nicest" of their suites, the Camelot, is where I'll stay next - especially if I have someone to stay with next time ;-)

Ok, at best. Wonderful staff, horrible ownership. The owners are doing a really great job of running this beautiful historic place into the ground. I was very pleased with the location and closeness to Red Rocks Amphitheater as well as the snug private patios with hoe tubs. In a nutshell, its a great place for after Red Rocks shows, just hope and prey you don't run into one of the owners. And don't even think about trying to get a refund, Heidi won't have it.

"Cliff House Lodge" sounds alluring. It is not a lodge and is far from any cliffs. If you want a cute little place near downtown Morrison, it is ideal. Our room, the Peking Palace, was whimsically decorated, but large and comfortable. The floor was a roller coaster ride - you'd have to stay there to know what I mean. Breakfast was nicely done. Hot tub: great. Downsides: dogs roaming the yard, going to the office and begging for toilet paper every day (it can't be all that expensive to put an extra roll or two in the room), and motorcycles in the summer, lots of really noisy motorcycles. Appears to be run by kids who are very nice but have no attention to details. Five points on the "different" scale; one point on the "well-run" scale.
