Great food. We had the Hungry Mac: Corned beef is homemade and incredible. My simple palette appreciated a well cooked heap of scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Plus, a good cup of coffee to boot. Ordered a pancake for 'breakfast dessert'. Fluffy, light and doesn't even need syrup. Final shout out to Bluepoint Bakery - that's a great slice of sourdough! We will be back soon without a doubt! Eyeballing that French Toast...

Had a great lunch there today. The Reuben was perfect and their coleslaw is very tangy and tasty. My lady got the curry chicken salad wrap and loved it. All the employees were super friendly. Excited to try breakfast there.

Great local place. Delicious meals. Get a lot of food for the price. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I wanted to try this place strictly based on the positive yelp reviews, unfortunately my experience was less impressive. I dined there on a Saturday lunch about 1:15 and I was the only customer, the owners were having a meeting at a table and two young employees were cooking and serving. The owner stepped away from her meeting and took my order, she was extremely pleasant and helped me decide on the sausage and pepper sandwich with homemade tater tots as a side. I ordered iced tea which is not fresh brewed but from a dispenser, I asked for a lemon for my tea and the young lady brought a half moon slice of lemon sliced so thin it was a joke. My food came quickly and with a smile but the sandwich was very bland and dry, the bread was super dry and crumbly, the sausage was very bland, some melted cheese and a side of marinara would have been a great way to improve the sandwich. The tater tots on the other hand were very salty and came with a mayo based dipping that made the tots taste even worse. The place is very clean and staff and owners are very nice unfortunately my food was sub par. I have a strong feeling that my experience with the quality is isolated and they deliver higher standards most of the time.

Classic French toast dipped in vanilla custard was excellent. My wife had the hungry Mac and said the homemade corn beef hash was to die for. Nice start to a busy day in the Rocky Mountains.

YUM! Great food and wonderful people. Corn beef hash is the best I've had. Sweet cream pancakes, amazing! French Toast gets a thumbs up too. They support Colorado business as well bread is from Bluepoint Bakery in Denver, sourdough is my favorite. Hot Sauce is from Fort Collins. Highly recommend coming into Mac's for a great breakfast. Will try lunch soon and dinner starts Sept 29th! Tues, Wed and Thurs nights 4:30 to 8p.

I love Mac's Place! East coast'er owned and it shows, hard work and a deep thoughtfulness behind each plate of food. Great coffee! Very friendly and warm service. This is the best breakfast spot I've been to since coming out to Colorado!

I was pleasantly surprised at how great Mac's Place is. We had to take our motorhome into the service center and since we are traveling with our dog weren't sure where to go for breakfast. I found Mac's Place gave them a call and they enthusiastically said they had outdoor seating. They were friendly and accommodating and the food made my tastebuds dance.

Awesome family owned restaurant with very good service and food. Biscuits and gravy are fantastic! My wife had the breakfast on a roll and it was delicious. Great place for the entire family! Nice patio area for the four legged's as well.

This place is solid. Standard diner food with a bit of a twist. Helps to know going in that breakfast is served until 11 only. Also, it's primarily counter service. Place order at counter (menus or overhead chalkboard) they bring you your food but you get your own drinks, condiments, etc. I was here on a weekday, late morning. Place is busy....lots of regulars. They ask your name when you place your order & then they use it. Nice touch. You won't find frittatas, asparagus or goat cheese, but the food is good, standard breakfast fare.

My husband and I went early on a Saturday morning, just about 15 minutes after they opened. We were greeted at the counter and offered a menu, so we didn't have to crane our necks to read the chalkboard above said counter. It wasn't a hard decision. I mean, c'mon, breakfast calzone? Sold. The fellow helping us told us it would be about 9 minutes for the calzone, but I was more than willing to wait. He got us our coffee, and we sat ourselves. Less than 9 minutes later, perfection arrived. It was gloriously browned, with such a nice crunch as you bit into it, and stuffed to the hilt with eggs, mozzarella, onions and peppers. I offered half to my husband, who said, "I'll just have a bite...*takes a bite, eyes widen*.....maybe two bites...." We were the only ones in the restaurant, so service was great. We were offered refills on coffee, they checked on how the food was, and we had a nice chat about East Coast and Chicago foods. I can't wait to return.

Love this breakfast-brunch place! It's very close to where we live and we live this family owned business! The people are so nice and food tastes like home cooked food with a lot of love! So happy to have found this place in Longmont!

We've been here to Mac's place twice now, living not too far away. The first itme was fairly unimpressive, but that was shortly after they opened and I think they've improved it since then. It's a good breakfast place which there aren't many of in the area. At our table of four, two of us ordered the train wreck (eggs, hash browns, some green chili, peppers, toast), one of us got french toast and the other got another combination type plate (can't remember the name). All of us agreed it was quite good. So why give it four stars? Well, a few things... The ordering process is a bit weird. Seems there are some other restaurants doing this as well, and I guess it doesn't make much sense to me. They offered counter service to place your order, but they they'll bring it to you when ready. I suppose it avoids the problem of people getting hteir bills and not paying, but it still seems a little awkward to me. Based on the one recent experience, aside from teh ordering process, I'd probably have given it five stars, but since the first time would've been a 2-star visit, I averaged it out...

Absolutely awesome breakfast/lunch spot. Everything is made with care, and using local grocers to boot! Try the house-made roast beef, and don't skip the tater tots - unbelievable!

My family came into town today and said they wanted to try a breakfast place that wasnt a chain. After seeing the reviews for this place I thought it was worth a try. It turns out that it totally was!! The food was really good and it was neat seeing their whole family working the restaurant. I got the biscuits and gravy, which was delicious. My wife got the Denver calzone, and I would totally get that next time. The pancakes and French toast were really good too. Overall I will be eating there again. -side note, the coffee isnt that great and service isn't either but it's a family owned and operated and they were very busy and the quality of the food was superb, so that earns 5 stars in my book.

I came over to meet some friends at Mac's, they have it dialed in. The food was extremely good, hot and fresh. The corned beef hash was homemade and the breakfast calzone was incredible. If you like cinnamon rolls, this is one of the best. While we were there they were donating 100 meals to the responders who were helping with the flood. I don't make it to Longmont often depends on where work takes me, but this is going to be a regular stop. The owners and staff are very friendly.

I'm so glad to have a breakfast place on the east side of town. The food is every bit as good as what you get at Le Peep and much cheaper! They do take out as well and after only a couple of visits they greet me by name when I come in. I've been there probably 15 times (including take out) and haven't had a bad meal. They have free wi-fi as well so that's a plus. NaNoWriMo is going on now so I could see doing a morning write in there.

Met here for an early birthday lunch for my father-in-law. I had the Italian sandwich with home made tater tots. The sandwich was amazing, just the right amount of meat and perfect tasty bread. But what was really a surprise for me was the home made tater tots. They were really good and just something I have never had made from scratch before. The staff was great too. We had a larger party, it's a smaller place, and they were very nice and accommodating. I look forward to returning.

I love the staff here, always pleasant and smiling. Location is so convenient. Food size and price are what I like. I personally don't like portions that are so big I have to take half of it home. I was too late for breakfast the first time I was there. But I learned the hours and have planned accordingly. Is this 5 star dining, no but then I went there for some homestyle cooking and that is what I got. The reuben sandwich is my favorite for lunch.

I can't tell you how the food is at Mac's Place, we didn't eat there. We went to breakfast at Mac's, it was much farther out of Longmont than we cared to go. When we got there, they said they stopped serving breakfast! We got there at 11:45 on a Sunday and they're only open until 2pm! The owners said they "had already made two sandwiches so they can't make breakfast on the grill." There were two people in the whole place at what should be the busiest time. Also, you order at the counter from chalkboards overhead that are barely legible. If you're looking for a weekend sit-down breakfast, pass Mac's Place on by. We went to The Egg and I instead.

Had the breakfast calzone. Got a fair amount of food for the price. It was tasty homemade style comfort food...full all day.

Had the Mac Stack. Eggs over easy still had some "runny snot" but good. Toast done very nicely but on the dry side. Italian sausage link was great and the red peppers added an interesting sweetness. Hash brown average...I like them crispy & they weren't. Coffee refill non existent unless I hiked to the counter. I'll try again in a few weeks.

Good place for breakfast. The usual choices but personalized service so you can tweak your order. Family run so nice break from the usual chains. Casual indoor and outside seating. Biscuits are homemade and tasty.

Very casual. Navy yarder burger was much better than I expected. Definitely recommended. Fried Chicken sandwich ok. Tater tots and Cole slaw also decent. Prices very reasonable. Service fast. I will be back

I've been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Sure, it can get pretty busy, but only because it's so dang good. Plus, everyone who works there is so friendly, cheerful and welcoming. The food is AMAZING, and the prices can't be beat. One of the first times I went to Mac's, they were featuring a special breakfast sandwich called the "French Connection". I like to think of it as kind of a breakfast Monte Cristo.. basically thick cut ham and eggs cooked perfectly between two pieces of french toast. This needs to be featured on the menu all the time! The moral of this story is you need to GET IN YOUR CAR RIGHT NOW, DRIVE TO MAC'S AND ORDER THE FRENCH CONNECTION. You will not regret it. In fact, you'll regret no [food] decisions made at Mac's.

Mac and the crew are great! Enjoy coming in here for lunch, the curried chicken salad is awesome! The burger is great, really just a classic diner and done very well. Breakfast is fantastic, the corned beef hash is the perfect start to the day. Love the location, super close to my location. Check it out!

Have been wanting to try Mac's Place for some time now, but have never been able to make it while they were open. Got lucky today and stopped in for breakfast. Menu options are plentiful and all sound great, but I was not impressed with the Train Wreck. It is described as two eggs on crispy hash browns, topped with peppers, onions, cheese and green chili. Eggs were cooked medium, as requested but the hash browns were no where near crispy. As for the "green chili", it was simply awful. It was pasty and bland. There was some heat to it, but no flavor, at all. When I requested a tortilla with my meal, the staff was almost shocked and stated that no-one had ever asked for a tortilla before. I'm not sure what kind of people regularly order this item, but if the menu says "smothered" in green chili, a tortilla should be obvious. Maybe it's just me. I will be back to try other breakfast offerings and their lunch menu, but I will never again partake of the Train Wreck. Hopefully I'll be able to adjust the number of stars after I try more of their menu.

This place is great. Been back a couple times - definitely try the breakfast calzone and the off-menu item the "French Connection". Prices are super reasonable and the employees are laid back.

My wife and I ate at Mac's for breakfast. The wife had the Hot Mess, Biscuits and gravy with eggs. I had the train wreck, Hashbrowns covered with eggs, sausage, peppers, onions, smothered with green chili. Both dishes were AWESOME.

My husband and I ate here for the first time. While we will return, our food was average. It arrived tepid, not hot. The green chili could also have been more spicy. Otherwise, quality seemed good, likes the decor. Friendly staff.

Went to try this place out, and was very happy with the service, the prices, and especially the food! I got the corned beef hash, and it was great! Wife and daughter liked their dishes, too. It has a nice feel of a family-owned diner. And seriously, their prices can't be beat.

Sandwiches are amazing and the chips are homemade and delicious! I had the classic reubin and it was more than enough for me. I was super full and the best part was the super friendly staff. Great family owned cafe. Cost was reasonable too. $7.49 for everything :) you should totally come here if you live in Longmont!
