Dropped in really close before closing, but was served with a smile. Had a CHUBurger. I was pretty happy with it. My friend got the pork burger and loved it. Fries were OK, but that ginger ketchup was AMAZING. I'd go back for sure.

Chu burger. What a ridiculous name... But I went in? The ending is what caught my attention. This is step up to Larkburger it's actually 2 times better. They promote all grain fed Angus beef patties. The low carb department was not so exciting. My burger look more of a salad. It was good and somewhat salty. Lettuce wrap they don't do. $10 would be your complete meal. Not expensive and not low quality. It's a Chu Burger right?

We stopped in to get to go for a friend of ours. Not planning on eating anything, I quickly changed my mind when I saw shishito peppers as a side. Yes please. I ordered a side to go and was surprised how many peppers came in an order. It's a lot! I scarfed them down with a little of the sweet sauce and extra mayo. They were good enough that next time I will go hungry so I can try a burger.

Best burger I have had in a long time. Super fresh! fries were delicious too. I highly recommend it the food is amazing.

These guys were set up at the Oskar Blue brewery Cyclocross race over the weekend. Did have a burger and fries and I have to say they were pretty darn good!! Especially for a set up in the middle of the field under a tent. Plus I was one of the last people to rock up to grab a burger and they still managed to make me one with a smile. Thanks boys you are legends :)

Chub makes a good burger, but it's really messy, and it gets soggy. I'll need to try it again sometime without their sauce, and see what I think. High quality food though, I'll be an occasional customer.

Chuburger makes a good burger. The service isn't always the best but decent. A bit pricier than I expected. The shakes and root beer floats are good.

Went in for a beer and burger. Had the berk burger (pork), really good except the bun fell apart rather easily. Beer was good (it's all Oskar blues so they know what they're doing). Onion rings that I had with it weren't the best, they coated the onions in way too much batter to be able to really taste the onion. Bartender did a decent job of waiting on myself and the customers around me. Downside was their soda machine was down so you were stuck having to get soda cans but other then that a decent experience.

Typical of an Oskar Blues franchise, this place has a fun interior, well-trained and very young, hip, staff, and plenty of fantastic food and cold craft beer to sate even the pickiest of consumers. The burgers are very good, even if the buns do fall apart easily. The selection of patties is all over the board, with gluten-free non-dolphin organo-vegan-non-GMO-whatever and just a serious effort to go above the call of Colorado-crazy duty. I think I spied an ale or two on tap that I haven't seen at their other locations or on shelves? I'm starting to kind of love that business ...

Insanely delicious. You tell a good burger by when you don't have to smother it with ketchup and mustard. The natural flavors is all you need.

Great service! Everyone was very polite and helpful. The Chubb burger was really good. I'm a burger guy and this one was good! I ordered something called shoshita fries. That was disappointing. It was just big very mild peppers thrown on top of some fries. They have a good vibe and live music (on a Friday night). If it was in my area I'd eat here much more. But it's way out here in Longmont.

I'm debating between a two and three rating here, but rounding down ... Sadly. So why? 1. Burger was not prepared correctly... I wanted the "garlic mayo" on the side... Not on the burger. My DH stated this twice, to no avail. 2. Burger was pretty plain in flavor, nothing stood out and the lettuce was weak and wilted. 3. Fries are pretty bland, felt like frozen and quick refry, nothing exciting. 4. Milkshake ("handshake") was awful..... We got the special "secret" one... Flavor was lemonish.... Like drinking cool whip whipped cream with lemon girl scout cookie, not in a good way. Chemical tasting, no ice cream taste, all around a disappointment. 5. To round it all out, this not so great meal cost over $20 for two people... So while I'm glad I gave this place a shot, they did not impress me at all and I won't be returning. If you want a good burger, check out the other not fast food places in town or better yet, go by the butcher, get them to ground you up some fresh beef and take it home to make your best burger your way....

Very good burgers, tasty beer. This place is owned by Oskar Bluez, so no question on the quality of the beer. No-fuss atmosphere. For the price, it was solid.

Everything here is good! Chuburger, great. Crispy clucker, great. Buff bruger, great. Hawg dog, great. Really good fries and onion rings too!

I am always on the look out for a great burger and this place was a solid choice. The toppings were fresh, the green chile on point and the meat was a local beef that was very tasty. Only reason they didnt get 4 stars is my burger was overcooked. I asked for med rare as any true burger fan does and it come med well. Unfortunately did not have time to change it. I certainly want to give the burger another shot and see if I can get it like I want it. enjoy Steve

When I am back in Longmont I try and stop by. Love the variety of burgers! Staff is always pleasant! I heard they are at The Rockies stadium-I must check it out!!

I'm fairly certain I danced along the 50 lb. mark of potatoes in my 2 months of exploring Colorado. Most of this bulk came in the form of fries, smothered in cheese and a chili of sorts. So, tally up the amount of dairy eaten too. I found CHUBurger to be underwhelming. The expectation was that a highly acclaimed brewery such as Oskar Blues would have the ability to crank out a mighty fine burger, but I thought the grub didn't have any flair to it. The fries didn't stand out to me, but I will account for the fact that I hold food that is in some way connected to a brewery, pub, or gastropub (for those who live in cities like Austin and Portland) to a higher standard. If you're putting around in Longmont and need a bite to eat, I can't put my gold stamp of approval on CHUBurger, but I also don't know what else is around this area. The strip mall location may play into why it doesn't quite impress me.

Great burgers and brew joint . The atmosphere is definitely casual but the burgers and boutique root beer and hand made shakes make this a great place to eat in or take out The prices are higher than the fast goody burger joints but the food is without a doubt worth the extra $. We love coming here and oh yeah the sides rock

Chub Luv I've only been once and I love it! The easy concept of ordering up front and seating yourself is awesome. Always a fan of this type of dining & forever will be. I can never turn down a nice and casual experience. The condiments are out for you to grab as you please and there's one less person to tip & pay even though I did leave a buck in the jar at the register and another two bucks at the table as a courtesy for those running my food and checking up on me. The food is real tasty. The selection seems a bit limited but I don't mind it because I can go elsewhere if I want something in particular. It is what it is and it works great for what I'm into. I can't complain. I loved the shoshito fries and would actually request to get only peppers without the taters if possible. My falafel burger was pretty good and my husband loves the omega (salmon) burger. We have yet to try the regular beef ones. Over all it's an awesome little Oskar Blues establishment. So grab a brew and check em out. I was pleasantly surprised. Ps. I've also patronized their food truck when they were at a local festival ;)

Service is fast and super friendly. We were the only ones there and it even looked like they were closed from the outside. Ordered the buff burger. It was a ton of sauce with a burger somewhere in there. Had I known they smothered the burger in sauce, I would asked for it on the side. The fries were ok as well. Even the homemade ketchup was ok as well. Nothing that knocked my socks off.

Totally inconsistent! We've eaten here regularly in the past, and about 3 weeks ago we had great fish and chips, onion rings, and a burger all of which couldn't be beat. But on April 11th we had the world's greasiest and most disgusting fish and chips, onion rings, and a cold hot dog (in an over-toasted and dry bun). When I returned the dog to get one that was cooked all the way through- the new dog was hot, but flavorless (my speculation: it was boiled in hot water, removing all of the yummy flavor), with cold toppings that had previously been hot on the first dog (notably: bacon), and a bun that was even more overtoasted, dried out, cold, and somewhat crushed and misshapen. We were totally disappointed, since we've had great food here in the past. Both of us felt ill for the rest of that day from the grease overload. Clearly the two gents in the kitchen were utter cooking amateurs and they didn't take well to the training they had received. It's cruel and inhumane to subject customers to the quality of food we received that day-- and it's going to be a long time before we consider returning. When and if we do return, if the two kids we saw on the 11th are in the kitchen again we'll be turning around immediately. It's a great feature that customers can see who's in the kitchen while waiting in line to order- but I had never imagined having to use it this way.

Called an order for takeout. The shake was sitting on the bar when I got there a few minutes later. When I got home a few minutes later the fries were cold and the shake was melted and spilled out of the loose cover. The burger was alright but they are clearly not experienced at take out orders

Great tasting burgers. There are only two places in town I will eat a burger and this is one of them. I like that the beef is grass fed and they have, necessary for me, gluten free buns. I think we've been there once a week since we discovered them.

I'm not really sure what some of these bad reviews are about but this place is AWESOME. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I chose to sit at the bar and the bartender was very nice and helped me pick what to order. I went with the CHUBurger. Grass fed beef from their local farm? Sounds great. I also had the mile hi fries that were literally a mile hi! Overall food was amazing and staff was helpful. I'll be going back many more times to come! It's a must!

Hubby & I were disappointed in what we got for what we paid. The soda machine was out of ice & the soda flat. The fries were just okay. Sadly, I'd take McDonald's fries over them any day. We got the daily special which was a burger with bbq sauce & jalapeños. Once again, just okay. I've had a better jalapeño burger at Carl's Jr for 1/2 the cost. Can't say we will go back.

What a great place! Boyfriend and I were craving burgers after a brewery visit and I happily found this with a little yelp search. I felt trusting having been a fan of the food at both the Lyons and Longmont Oskar Blues locations. Walked in and already like the look of the place. Immediately told the nice blond boy behind the counter that it was our first time. He gave us a great run down, I wask happy to see that they made the sourcing of the meat an important feature. Personally only buying grass-fed and pastured meat we felt the prices were great. Got our table and went to the condiment area to find that they make in house options for the majority of things, had their mustard, a wonderful creole style and a ginger ketchup-a perfect tangy sweet/sour ratio. Our order arrived within about 5 minutes, boyfriend ordered the classic CHUBurger and I had the BERKBurger, along with an order of fries. I loved the detail of the printed foil and paper wrappers. Okay, so I must tell you, I love messy drippy burgers. They always taste better to me. This Berk, fit the bill. Balsamic onions, thick bacon, cheesy ooey gooey. Seasoned perfectly. I could not get enough! Boyfriend shared a bite of his Chub, perfect. Classic. Also well seasoned, both had the perfect bun to patty ratio too! Fries, hand cut, large order more than enough for us and some to snack on the drive home. We were checked in with by about 4 employees who all seemed genuinely interested in how we were doing. They even came by to clear our table. I will be back.

If you want a grease burger and a little fries with your grease, then this is the place for you. I couldn't even eat it. Left 3/4 of the burger and the whole basket of fries after I ate one. The Coca-Cola was good.

Wont as I am to cry foul at Oskar Blue's unilateral saturation of the food and beer market in Longmont, I love Chuburger too much not to write favorably of them. Perhaps this is evidence enough that the firmness of their foothold in Longmont and the vivacity of their business is well-deserved. Of course it is. Wacky burgers are often poorly executed, but all of Chuburger's ingredients are very well-chosen and the combinations are well-conceived. I rediscovered my love of falafel, and despite not being a vegetarian, I actually prefer their astronomically delicious falafel to their other excellent meat offerings. The salmon in particular comes a very close second. I always forego a beer when I eat at Chuburger because the food is flavorful and filling enough on its own. To attempt a beer pairing for me would be overkill. How may I nitpick and withhold the fifth star? I wish the quality of their store's fares was perfectly mirrored by their food truck and by their location at Coors Field (which I know has its own Yelp page). I hope Yelp and readers will grant me their pardon here, but for the money, I would like the portions to be slightly larger, or for there to be a loyalty program established so that the scale of my patronage might yield me some benefit and reason to eat here more than twice a month. A nitpick if ever there was one.

First time here. Cashier helped me decide what to order. Staff later came by my table to see how the food was. Great customer service, in my book. It's a good burger. I was pleasantly surprised. Just grab plenty of napkins, it's a messy meal. This is the kind of burger a vegetarian would eat if they fell off the wagon. I love that they use all natural, grass-fed beef. You can taste the difference. Not a fan of the fries. I wish they were meatier and not so dry. We'll still be back for more :)

While I'm not completely sold on their homemade ketchup or shoestring fries, their burgers are some of the best I've had! Always consistent, juicy and flavorful.

Fun place. Nice to have a fast burger joint that also has a selection of quality beers. Food was good, but not great. Buffburger is loaded with bacon, avocado, chipotle sauce (that I hardly noticed) and cheddar. In fact, its TOO loaded to really enjoy the burger, which was overwhelmed by the cheese. Ditto for the fries, which were fine, but nothing special. What was special was the ginger ketchup! Service was pleasant and quick when I visited, though I was surprised that it wasn't very busy at 6:30 on a Thursday night. Not that it really matters, but the decor leaves a bit to be desired. Especially the oddly retro menu signs in the bar area that looked like they came from a Dairy Queen from the 70s. I guess I'd come again if I was in the area and had an appetite for a burger, but for the price there are better options.

Went for the first time yesterday and I loved it! I'm not really much of a burger person but I love fast casual places so I decided to check it out. *ingredients are fresh, local and delicious *condiments are homemade and very tasty (you have to try the ginger ketchup, yum!) *portions are the right size (I love that the burger patty isn't the size of my head and doesn't drip grease) *really liked the fries, can't wait to try the onion rings *service is fantastic - we got our food very quickly, everyone was friendly and attentive All in all, my boyfriend were more than satisfied and we can't wait to go back!

Great burger place! We enjoyed the burgers, chili/cheese fries and beer selection. The homemade ketchup was a nice surprise too! Cute place with a brew pub feel. Only wish they asked how we wanted out burgers cooked... Medium well isn't my norm!

Amazing! Great burger Great buns Decent fries, but the quantity was massive. Even the ketchup was amazing! If you haven't been here, you're seriously missing out!

I'd heard dubious things about CHUBurger, so wasn't in a hurry to try it. What a mistake! I had a buffalo burger, fries and a beer. As you know buffalo can be dry, as it's more lean than beef. Not this bad boy. This was a melt-in-your-mouth, great burger. The fries are worth the visit, all by themselves. So, lets recap: Incredible burger. Best fries in Longmont Beer. Great beer. What else could you ask for? Super friendly service, with staff that is helpful, courteous and fun. This is my new favorite place, and will displace the Pumphouse as a go-to place for burgers and beer. The menu is fairly limited. You might be sad if you are a vegan. However, if you want a great burger in a great atmosphere, go here. You'll thank me later.

Mmm burgers. I know I've stated this in previous reviews, but I LOVE me a good burger! That being said, CHUBurger did not disappoint. Since I try to adhere to a paleo lifestyle, I love the fact that they give you a greens option in lieu of a bun. You can also choose between various meats such as grass-fed beef, buffalo, pork, salmon, etc. I decided to go with the build your own burger with grass-fed beef, green chile, bacon and cheddar cheese on greens. Man that green chile made the burger. So delicious!!! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town to sample some fries with a frosty brew.

I read some of the early review that were all over the board from 1 to 5 stars so I decided to give it some time before giving it a try. I went in for lunch on a Friday and it was pretty full. I ordered the Omega3 burger (salmon), a small fries and an iced tea. It came to $13 and change which seems high until I compared it to ordering the salmon fish and chips at OB HMLS. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The salmon patty was a great texture and had fantastic flavor. The bun was fresh and tasty as well. The fries were fresh cut but a little soggy. They had a great real potato taste. The homemade ketchup was also good, especially when you mixed in a little chub hot sauce. I will definitely at this into my HMLS, Cyclhops and snarf's/weasel Oskar Blues weekly rotation.

This place is just....amazing. When I lived in Longmont I used to go here probably weekly for the Buff Burger, which is probably the best non-homemade burger I have EVER tasted. Now that I live in Denver, my family and I STILL make special trips up there for this place! The burgers are absolutely top-notch: fresh, made from grass fed and organic meat, and full of amazing flavor! I also love the mile high fries. When I, ahem, over indulged on my 21st birthday this year, those things saved my life!! Best hangover food ever to be created. You will find that they have an incredibly friendly staff also, which only adds to the awesomeness of the whole experience! Like I said, I have no problem driving up from Denver to satisfy my cravings for this place....totally worth the gas and the miles! :)

The HAWG DOG is freakin' delicious! The broccoli slaw and shoshito peppers they put on this compliments the berkshire hot dog and bacon so amazingly well, its crunchy and meaty and totally filling. The onion rings were crispy and perfect. The mile high fries were good too, but be forewarned that its a lot! We couldn't finish these on top of the onion rings but we did try. And let's all go ahead and assume that the beer is good too, BC IT IS.

If you're looking for a delicious, greasy exceptional burger. You've come to the right place. I love these burgers. My husband and I go here way too much. They are a bit on the pricier side. But it seems to be that way everywhere now to get a decent burger. I always feel rather guilty after eating this grease bomb, but I still keep coming back.

Well I was kind if liking the simple approach to the decor nothing fancy but some what homey. I did see that they had each protein for burgers. After I ordered I sat at the bar to eat and have a beverage. The beer was the OB bill of fare. I got my order the buff burger minus the bacon and onion rings. The burger was cooked right but the issue I had was the bun it should have toasted. The addition of sauce and avocado turned it into a sloppy mess. Still it was good. The onion rings had a great batter and the peppery infused batter made them quite tasty. The problem was the oil in which the rings were fried was old and not hot enough to give a golden look to the rings . They had taken the deep burnt and greasy taste, but even with that they were edible with some sauce. I would most defiantly try this place again.

    (3)
  • Diane M.

Buff burger is just slop- way too much sauce. Burger turns into a sloppy mess. Onion rings are greasy. Very disappointed. Very expensive food I just threw away.

I remember being very excited for CHUBurger to open. I mean, Oskars Blues' Chub beer is one of my all time favorite beers. Excitement by association I suppose. I've now been maybe 6 times since they opened and I literally have the exact same experience every time. It's not bad, but it's not good. it just is. I have nothing negative to say about the service. The atmosphere is ok. The food is always a 4.5/10 Something just always seems off. The food is never very hot, and it never tastes as good as you think it should. I've tried every burger except the salmon and the veggie burger. I don't think I'll find salvation there. For my money Smash Burger is way better. I just can't stand those shoe-string fries. I hate to say it because I love Oskar Blues beer so much, they just can't figure out this whole restaurant thing. It started with the original Lyons location and has continued with each new place. I will say that the Longmont Oskar Blues restaurant is probably the most best of the worst but it's still not very good or consistent. Longmont is home to 3 Oskar Blues eating establishments and I don't want to go to a single one. p.s. the Tasty Weasel Taproom is great, probably because they don't serve food.

"Meh, I've experienced better" is an understatement at this place. Lots of hype surrounding this place, waited for weeks until this place opened, and only one word can describe my feelings after coming here. Disappointment. - Small, expensive Buffalo burger. 9.95 for a patty so small you woulda thought you were at mcdonalds (And honestly, I think you get more meat in a Big Mac than you do in this burger) - Shoshito Fries. $3.50 Wow this sounded so amazing, shoshito peppers with cut fries? Awesome...until you realize it is literally shoshito peppers with fries. you take a handful of peppers and a handful of fries and just jostle it up. Major fail. - They don't have an ID scanner for those with out of state ID's - They don't let you choose how you want your burger cooked. Ummmm, what? Has this ever happened at ANY official burger restaurant that isn't fast food? - They brought my colleagues' buff burger with nothing but the patty and the bun...where was the dressing, avocado, bacon, and cheese? I hate to say it, but I'd rather go to any other burger spot in the area (fast food included) than come back again. Why did this place get two stars? At least the waitstaff was friendly and they had nice decor.

Nitrogen infused Old Chub - swag! Beer battered onion rings - what's not to love? Had the bison burger - felt virtuous as well as satisfied. That ginger ketchup had it own cheering section. Look out for the beer, tho - had just two cause one was way too wonderful, the ride home was well, dreamy. Old Chub is great on its own but the nitro makes it smooth as silk and I think about 10% alc. Ambiance - comfortable; staff - attentive. I'd call it family friendly cause there were high chairs there but the kids were all in the arcade room and the bar was filled with singles. I think they're going to have to expand this location pronto. No problem parking...yet... and the place was almost full when we got there. S.O. ordered while I grabbed a place for 3. You order right when you go in and then get a table stand with a number on it. I'm taking my beer loving, burger eating friends back next week.

Great burgers- too small. Food very pricey for just counter service- a family of 4 was $40. The fries were good though....

Meh. Nothing great about this place. The fries were overlooked and over salted. The house made ketchup was really sweet. There wasn't much to the burger. Overpriced for the quality in my opinion. The service was good but not overly attentive. We sat next to the kitchen and had to put up with the employees loud chat circle of laughter and gossip. I'm glad I finally tried the place but probably won't come back.

Natural grass fed burgers with fun toppings, crispy fries and onion rings. To Jo, the rather uneducated burger reviewer. Maybe you should go to McDonalds? If you can find an all natural, grass fed, longmont farm raised burger for less, please let me know. Also for your knowledge, they offer a happy hour on Mondays through Fridays which is a great freaking deal. The burgers are delicious, the fries are excellent and the ketchup is homemade. Do you understand that means less corn sugar, trans fat and ultimately a lower glycemic index than Heinz? So actually it has less sugar, ya dig? Not sure which ketchup you got , they also have a ginger ketchup which may have made it taste sweeter to you. Also it's a simple burger joint not a sit down place, if someone is bothering you, just quit whining and move. Thanks. Moving on this place is fantastic. The manager Wendy has come up to my table a few times when I've been there to say hi and check in. She is sweet, thoughtful and exudes excellent and attentive customer service.

I brought my aunt and my mom here after a riding lesson. It was late, we were tired, they were grumpy. The lady taking our order was very patient with us. The burgers weren't as juicy as I would have liked, but very flavorful so that made up for it a bit. The fries were phenomenal, as was the ginger ketchup! And the root beer float really hit the spot. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu when we move to Longmont in a few weeks!

Thursday Lunch with work associate. He had a normal burger, and I had the Buff (Buffalo) with Chipotle Ranch. Came with fresh avocado and thick bacon. Ginger infused Ketchup was awesome. Fries were perfect and one order fed two grown men no problem. Side of Chipotle ranch we used for fries dipping. If it were thicker, it'd make a better dipping sauce (which it isn't intended for). Burger was a little messy, as to be expected when it's loaded with Avocado. I thought the prices were great considering the ingredients.

Kind of shocked by all the bad reviews; we liked it. The place was crowded on Sunday and we would have liked to eat in but left b/c there was no seating but not a big deal. The burgers were tasty & the milkshake was extra yummy (although a little small for the $3.99 price tag). I took some of the ginger ketchup to go and it was a little off-putting; it tasted good but didn't seem to fit with the meal. I guess if I'm being honest $22 for 2 burgers, a milkshake, a soda and 1 order of regular fries is a little steep but it was about what I expected from the look of the place. We'll go back if they stay in business...

I'm seriously wondering if these negative reviews are for real or conjured up by some sleazy competitor. This place is great! I ordered the Chuburger with bacon, cheddar and avocado, along with an order of fries and a Dale's Pale Ale. I found a seat and before I even pulled my chair up my beer arrived at my table, served by the nicest lady with a pretty smile. It was a Saturday evening at around six thirty and the place was nearly filled, but my meal arrived within a few minutes, piping hot and fresh. I was hungry and I planned on digging in to my burger but I couldn't get past the fries! They were fresh cut and absolutely, positively perfect! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and served in a cardboard box with just the right amount of grease seeping through. I seriously finished half of them before prying myself away to open my burger wrapper. My burger was fantastic! The meat was tender, hot and fresh. The cheese was melted perfectly and the whole thing was topped with a really nice slaw with fresh cucumber slices. The bacon was special--thick and flavorful and generously portioned. It reminded me of Wright brand bacon, thick and chewy. About the only complaint I could think of was that the avocado was squished on like guacamole, which I thought it was at first but it wasn't, just smashed avocado slices . All in all, it was a very satisfying burger. I would most certainly order the exact same thing again. I don't know where the other reviewers got their prices, but my Chuburger was $6.25, not $10.00. I found the burger to be priced right on the mark. The Bison burger is indeed $10.00, but where can you find a bison burger cheaper than that? You can also get a pork burger and a salmon burger if you are so inclined. Also, there IS a veggie option available on the menu. Perhaps it's a new offering but I just thought that I should mention it. It's called the Gonzo burger and, according to the menu, is made with a veggie falafel patty. I'll take their word for it because hell would have to freeze over before I ordered that. This is my second visit here and I can promise you that I'll be back. Many times. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Where else can you get a burger and a real beer in a real glass for $12.00 total? And, Oh. My. God. Those fries!!

I'll preface this review by saying I've ate here about 6 times in the past month due to lack of options in Longmont. 5 stars for using local grassfed beef and homemade ketchup/mustard! The problem is they wreck the Chuburger by putting slimy Sysco cheese on it....wtf! If you are going to go to the trouble of properly sourcing beef, pork, and salmon please at least offer the option of an edible local or hormone free/organic option. I'd be willing to pay 2 bucks more a burger for cheese that is properly sourced. For some reason they can't seem to cook fries either....in 6 visits I've yet to receive a crispy fry and about 90% of the time they have been cold. While I'm ranting, how about some happy hour beer specials? Profit margins are huge and I think $4.50 for a pint of Dales is pushing it when u include a buck tip....how about $3.50?

Delicious, juicy, yummy. If CHUBurger were closer, I'd eat there more. The homemade condiments were awesome!

This is one of our favorite burger places in Longmont. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because it can be a little pricey. If you're looking for a great burger with fun atmosphere, this is a great place to eat.

Don't go here on Saturday night at 7 pm unless you're playing trivia. No tables and no chance of getting one. Had to take food to go. They did at least refund our beer since we couldn't take it with us. Maybe they should consider trivia after dinner hour!

Went there for the first time - a friend had recommended the onion rings and shakes. My rings were so peppery, I couldn't eat more than 3. The lids to the shake didn't fit and I almost lost my shake in the parking lot. When I returned to get a new lid, I was told this is how the lids fit so getting a new one won't help. WHAT........ really?????? Very disappointing for sure.

Visited CHUBurger after disappointing food at Oskar's. Each time we come from Oregon we visit CHUBurger and haven't been disappointed. Over-priced for repeated family outings-wondered a few times if she overcharged us since we didn't get a receipt. My disappointment was the young blonde at the counter taking the orders. She shared no knowledge of the menu. specials, nothing and acted as if she was extremely put out when we asked questions. No help whatsoever. We even left her a tip-silly us! The best part was when we sat ourselves in the back-the young women back there was so awesome and I wish we would have gotten her name. I did speak to the manager about her (she's going back to grad-school)! What a gem she was-friendly, helpful, came around several times to see if we needed anything-she should have been up front. Great person and great service from her. Just hope she received part of the tip. Tip: when a family comes in with kids or not-if there are specials perhaps they should be told about them. Gets pricey when you have to order everything separately for a family. Our two year old could eat all the fries by herself (in fact she did). Four bucks for five small onion rings. :-( they were small but good. Will definitely try them again on our next visit though. Wish JAF mentioned the other burger place he eats at in Longmont, CO.

Probably the best burger in Longmont! They have 6 choices of burger to choose from and endless combinations of toppings. Onion rings are maybe the best I have ever had... They have a little spice to them and are great dipped in the house ginger ketchup.

Decided to have lunch here since it was close to where we were. Pros * Serve locally-sourced ingredients in many of their menu items, including grass-fed beef. * Friendly, prompt service. * Excellent onion rings & fries. * Homemade ketchup (including Ginger Ketchup) & mustard * Thick, yummy milk shakes with whipped cream. Cons * No plain burger. I'm reducing dairy consumption so I prefer not to pay for something (i.e. cheese) that I'm not eating. When I ordered without cheese, they put it on anyway (smoked American, which tasted weird), but we were hungry so decided to just eat it. * Burgers were not as juicy as I prefer but tasted good (perhaps because it's grass-fed beef).

I see nothing redeeming about this place other than the fact I can walk here from where I live. The beer selection is small and that is all that is on offer essentially other than soda, so if you aren't a beer drinker, this is not the bar for you. The food menu is sparse also which is fine if you like the food, which I don't. The fries were over salted and they were those skinny long ones which I don't personally like. The burger was grass-fed which I appreciated but other than that it was just a burger. Every other time I have been there it wasn't all that busy and so as far as "night life" goes it was meh. I have been to the trivia event once and the way the acoustics in the venue are it was really tough to hear the host and so that event was a bust. All in all for me, the Oskar Blues on 119 and Hover beats this place in pretty much every way that matters and I am not too eager to return.

This place is disgusting. I can't believe they serve frozen burgers here. If I wanted a bubba burger I would have stayed home. Ketchup is a joke, I can't believe we actually stayed and tried it. Worst burger in town. Five Guys is and always will be better.

Over-salted and over-priced. The atmosphere is good and it's the kind of place that looks like it'd be easy to hang out for a while over burgers and beers. But alas, the wallet and stomach both agreed it wasn't worth it.

We came here for the first time the other day and our experience was great. The food was so delicious and the fries were great too. We had the regular fries which are seasoned perfectly, the chili cheese fries which were delicious and messy and the onion rings which were crispy and easy to eat. The fry portion is big enough for two people to share. The regular burger was really delicious and I'm told the bison burger was a little "gamie" but really good. The service was quick and friendly and the staff came around and cleaned off the tables after we were done. The price was a little more expensive than your regular burger place but worth it for a great hamburger!

  • Robert R.

Had lunch today. Very good buns. Twice the size of the meat. Lots of lettuce, very little pickle. Home made ketchup and beer mustard were good. Tables were not cleaned when bussed. Had to wipe it down ourselves. Over all OK but better in town.

I'm a fan of Oskar Blues in general, but we were not impressed by this place. I thought my burger was pretty good, but my husband thought it was too small for the price. Both were on the well-done side, which seemed a waste of (presumably) high-end beef. Shredded lettuce was messy. Personally I like orange American cheese on my burgers, so no complaints there. Milkshakes were too thick--maybe that's considered a good thing, but I like to be able to drink my shake, not eat it with a spoon. My daughter, who's a decent eater for a kid, was totally unpsyched about the "corn dog"--actually a handful of bite-sized hot dog pieces, individually breaded and fried. They were overcooked and oily, and the hot dogs were tough. The apple slices tasted like citrus. We all would have preferred Heinz ketchup. There is a place for fancy homemade ketchups, but a basic burger joint is not it. On the plus side, the fries were good, and one order was plenty for two people.

  • Veggie Q.

Why? I'm still trying to wrap my head around why Oskar Blues would open a burger joint when A) their huge restaurant with a full menu is literally down the street and B) there are DOZENS of places to get great burgers in town already. Anyway, I was really hoping for more from this place. There are literally SIX burgers you can order, and each one has a different kind of meat or meat alternative. Don't like any of the six options? You can build your own burger, but when the majority of the toppings are an additional $1 each, it becomes really expensive really fast. When I was there, two of the (off duty but still wearing their uniforms) employees were literally walking around the restaurant barking. I get that you hire college-age boys because they'll work for low wages, but I don't get why you wouldn't train them not to act like animals in your place of business. Woof! The ONLY reason I would go here instead of Good Times (the burgers are actually better there) is because I would rather support a local business. Even so, I would rather go to one of their breweries than this poorly executed satelite.

I have been here twice. Once with a family of six and once with a friend. General impression is overpriced for what you get. Liked the bison burger better than the chub burger. French fries were fine didn't like the onion rings at all. (And I love onion rings) Don't drink beer so cannot comment on that. For my money I Would rather go to Fridays, Red Robin or Chilis

After waiting 25 minutes for our meal, both burgers arrived in a cold and dry state that would have seen them returned immediately in a full service restaurant. Of course, good luck figuring how and who to raise an issue to at a "fast casual no service" restaurant. So, apologies for the lack of positives - we just didn't have the mindset to find many. Buns were toasted yet cold upon arrival. Both burgers had beef patties that were cold and seemingly undersized. The condiments and dressings were over applied, drowning out the burger. I actually thought they'd forgotten the smoked cheddar on mine until I opened the burger to look, neither of us could taste it when taking a full bite of the burger. The pickles are so chunky they tend to fall out of the bun. The fries had a sweet undertone that I didn't care for, we didn't try any of the other sides. My companion summed it up succinctly by concluding "Red Robin is better than this", given the choice we'd both go to Five Guys if we wanted a burger. At $30 for two burgers, beers and one side of fries, CHUBurger has a long way to go before it's ready to compete for Longmont's casual dining dollar. I'll try them once more in 6-9 months, but at this point it certainly won't make the regular rotation.

Just ok, most likely will not return. The food was wayyyyy overpriced for average food. 20 bux for one person and that's with no alcohol at all. The service was good however.

This place is close to an hour from my house, but that doesn't stop me from eating there a few times per month. The food is served in the same style as typical fast food-order at the counter, burgers served in foil wrappers-but the ingredients are of the finest quality. There is something for everybody on the menu, including a vegan falafel burger. The beef is local and comes from Hops and Heifers, a farm owned by Oskar Blues. The salmon used for the Omega Burger is Alaskan and wild. The ketchup and mustard are made in house. The staff is incredible. Fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Being an Oskar Blues restaurant, they serve all of the OB standards on tap, as well as some limited brews that aren't available anywhere except on draft at Oskar Blues restaurants. The onion rings are the best I've ever had. The milkshakes are incredible, as are the root beer floats which are made with Oskar Blues own draft root beer. Make sure you ask what the feature flavor is, as there is always one or two special milkshake flavors in addition to the standard chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. The tables are spaced comfortably apart, and there is an outdoor patio area. I always leave feeling full and satisfied. It's not a cheap meal but, considering the quality of the ingredients used combined with the awesomeness of being able to enjoy a great beer with a fast-food style meal, it's definitely worth every penny.

I really wanted to give it two (s) stars, but as the evening moves on, it's dropped. The menu looked great, for the most part. Cafe only about 20% full, but lots and lots and lots of employees. This should be fast service! Cashier guy nice, but clueless. Omen? No vegetarian option, no microwavable Garden Burger, no Portabella, no Morningstar? This is Boulder County. Crazy not to include one. It's expected, and every group of more than a couple of folks will have at least one person looking for a veggie choice. Trying to make a statement, CHUBurger? Dumb business move. Ordered five meals. Two showed up after about 10 minutes. 10 minutes to get the first two? The deliverer wasn't even sure what was on the tray, just that they were the "first two sandwiches ordered." Even the 4 year old at the table started to laugh. At you CHUBurger. It gets better/worse. 10 minutes later, the rest appeared. Should half of the group eaten their meals first, or waited until the rest came, to avoid being rude, and have a cold meal. Read further, and you'll see it didn't matter. The kid's cheeseburger was missing...the cheese. And it was ice cold. And flavorless. He was under the weather, not feeling good, didn't want to go out for his brother's birthday, and now lost it. Tears flowing. But brother has wanted to go get CHUB for a few weeks now, eagerly anticipating the opening. Thanks CHUBurger. Jerks. Next burger. Cold, very cold. WTH! And the wrong cheese. I tasted it. Just gross to eat a mediocre burger right out of the refrigerator. And when you hate American cheese, and you specifically told the cashier no American cheese, and the cashier repeated back what kind of cheese would be on it (not American!), and it turns out to be American, this is a sign of a horribly managed business. Next burger, wrong cheese again. And, guess what, gross cold. Here's the list of better burger options in Boulder County. My Backyard Grill. Awesome. Rueben's. Tied with Dark Horse for the best. Dark Horse. See above. Larkburger. Expensive. Tuna burger best item on menu. Cafe Blue. Really good. Tad pricey. Great fries. Red Robin. Way underrated. Great service. Five Guys. Greasy, but fast, and perfect for some days. Wendy's. Is what it is. Murphy's. See Cafe Blue. Harpo's. See Murphy's. Good Times. Best Fast Food Burger, hand's down. Mountain Sun/Southern Sun. Mediocre, but beer/ambience great. Burger King. Better than you think. Try the one with the cheese infused in the meat. Smashburger. Growing on me. Very rich. McDonald's. Love the original cheeseburger. Soft, sweet, perfect. Hungry Toad. See Cafe Blue. HBurger...not a great shop, but head and shoulders above the CHUB. I know what I'm talking about. I eat a lot of burgers out. CHUburger is absolute c**p. Dale: Garret Frase either knows what's going on here, and can't/won't hire right/manage workflow and quality, and should be immediately fired. Or Garret doesn't know what's going on here, and should be immediately fired. Your pick. Disgusting experience. No second chances. Joke of a restaurant. Close it now. This review is being shared with everyone I know. Have you seen the number of FaceBook friends I have? And they told two people, and they told two people, and they told two people... Yeah, I'm pissed. Coined a new descriptor: C**P Casual. At the end of the day, even if the burgers had arrived together, relatively quickly, and prepared correctly, they just weren't quality products. They looked nothing like the photos on the website, nothing. No grilled buns, piled high with tasty fixins. Just cold, unseasoned bad stuff. I've been going to Oskar in Lyons for many years, Oskar in Longmont for some time now, drinking Oskar beer for a long time, and even had a GREAT burger at the Bonewagon last week. CHUBurger doesn't even have a change machine in the game room. Make an eleven year old stand in line at the bar to get quarters? What? And CHUB's is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. What a waste of time. Your people made my kid cry. Dealbreaker.

To put it lightly, they need to work out the kinks. I've experienced this first hand, and friends have said the same thing. The milkshakes were warm and the burgers were not. It's overpriced fast food. The only up side is their beer, which I can get at the weasel. Many kinks to work out. I'll try it again in a few months.

CHUBurger, what can be said, great burgers, great beers, great sides, just a great place over all.....there may be a time to say that your food is cold, but everytime that we have gone, the food has been out hot and fast......Lauren, Rudy, Garret have been amazing.....nothing has gone over looked and everything has been great.....

This place rocks. Came in with my family on a Tuesday for kids night. The staff was AWESOME!! The had a balloon guy so the kids were pumped. I had a dales and a sinfully delicious Berkshire pork burger raised right at the Oskar Blues farm down the road. Like no place I've ever been. We've been back there more than any other place in Longmont. It's a must.

Went here for the first time today. I had the buffalo burger. I was happy that they were able to serve it to me over fresh greens instead of on a bun. It was quite good. I was tempted to try their salmon burger too. The place is super nice and I liked their patio. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Well, went on a Friday night. Started at the bar since we were waiting for more of our party to show up. Eyeballed a table once we figured out the seating system: which is order, get a number and seat yourself! So grabbed a dirty table which was cleaned right away and was big enough for 5. Beer is good of course, its Oskars, I was a little dissapointed that they didn't have any domestic choices as micro's are a little to heavy for a light night. Serve yourself drink fountain is pretty cool, its one of those kind you can make like a million concoctions if you want and u fill your own so get as much soda as you want! Menu is pretty limited. They have black angus beef, pork, salmon & bison burgers. Menu is also a little confusing, the only burger that comes as a meal deal is the reg. ol burger for 8.95 = burger, fry and drink. I had the buff burger, it was 9.95.....ouch! It came out, I ate it and would say yes it was yummy, the bun was like buttery heaven, had avocado and a VERY small buff patty, I would say not much bigger than 1/4 lb :( boo. I'm not a big bread person as I try to avoid carbs, but if I wouldn't have eaten the bun on this one I would have starved literally. BF had the Berk Burger (ground pork) he loved it and ate it all, he said the size was ok, def. bigger than mine! 6.95 burger only. Friend had the Bro-guesa which is the reg black angus burger. 6.25 burger only, the patty and overall burger was SO small he had to go back up and get another! Mom had the Omega burger on greens with coleslaw. 7.95 for a decent amount of salmon on a little tiny bit of lettuce with about a tablespoon full of slaw, she was still hungry as well. Aunt had a kiddie burger, she doesn't eat much anyway as she is a tiny lady, she seemed pleased with her selection as she got a small burger, fry & drink all for 4.99. Our group also shared the onion rings 3.50 & Mile High Fries 5.50. Rings were decent, I didn't eat too many of them, like they tasted good but not good enough to keep eating. The mile high fries were weird, I didn't care for them, but the guys were starving so I guess they ate them not because they were great but because they were still hungry! So all in all, we all think 5 guys or Red Robin is better for the price and amount of food you get for the money. Sorry Chuburger you just really let me down and I was so excited! Bummer!

Tried the Berk and the Omega Burgers. Both were really good. The berk was a bit on the greasy side, but tasty! The buns were good as was the house made ginger ketchup. Fries were OK, had them with the shishido peppers. Of course the beer is world class. In my opinion, the food here is better than their other two restaurants. Nice dining room layout as well.

Whoa This is seriously one of the best burgers I have ever had. I have lived in Cali to so I know In-N-Out and the burgers here are better than that IMHO. Highly recommended. A little expensive for lunch but that is the only thing wrong with this place you just can't go every day EXCELLENT ! ! !

Still amazing! In light of the negative reviews, I just had to spread a little more of the positive...had a meeting nearby, so Chub was a natural for lunch. Got the Broguesa meal - original Chuburger, fries & drink, while my boyfriend substituted the onion rings in his - and I'm sooo glad he did, they were ridiculously delicious. Crispy Mama's beer batter with a hint of spiciness, no need to dip these bad boys! The burger was warm and awesome, smoked cheddar melted, and those homemade pickles crunchy - love the original Chuburger! The perfect amount of food - who needs a freakin' ginormous burger with a pound of meat? C'mon, America...The drink machine is a hoot - I didn't know there were so many choices in the soda world (but I'm not surprised). Love the ginger ketchup, but still want to try the original. We grabbed seats at the bar, and the place was lively and doing great business. The bartender, Lauren, was very pleasant to chat with. Overall, another great Chuburger experience. Don't be fooled - give it a try!

First time at CHUBurger. Tables were filthy. I ordered the original burger and "Hand Cut" fries. The burger was raw in the middle and there was a icy wet spot on top of the bun. As if the bun was frozen and thawed. The bun was icy cold which just felt weird on a burger. And it was falling apart. I told the bartender who took my order about the situation, and she informed me that they never freeze their hamburger buns. When I pointed out that the burger itself was raw in the middle...and I don't mwan pink...I mean red...she said "Oh. It's not cooked enough for you? " she rook my burger and said they would remake it. At this point I would have preferred to just take it off the ticket however, you pay when you order and I didn't want the hassle of trying to get my money back. So as I waited for my new burger I worked on the fries that were like one inch shoestring fries...no lie one inch pieces. It was like they scraped up our fry order at the bottom of the batch. Just broken pieces. The worst part was as I was eating the fries I pulled a long black hair out of my mouth. My burger came out cooked and hot. But the bun had a strange icy wet spot on top again. And I took two bite and couldn't finish because I was grossed out by the hair incident. Im sorry I spent $22 including a $2 tip for 2 (mine and hubby's) burgers one large order of fries and 2 sodas. We won't be back.

Was so looking forward to my first meal at Chuburger and was not disappointed. Had to wait until Veggie hubby was out of town. I am surprised that a Boulder County restaurant would not have a veggie option as it doesn't seem like much of a stretch to add a garden or black bean burger variation. Food arrived fast and hot (this is why I do not go to new restaurants the first week, to avoid the service pitfalls in previous reviews). Was confused that my son's grilled cheese was only half a sandwich and he was still hungry. Not much of a fry guy, although he loves the sweet potato fries at liquids and solids, which I was assuming they would have here, but did not (nor the fantastic chicken tenders). Next time I will order my son the "adult" sized grilled cheese and he can share my fries. My burger was excellent. I particularly loved all the pickles, so many that they fell out and I got to scoop them up. Shoshito fries were yummy, the peppers not too spicy, but just right. Despite his sandwich being too small, my son said "I wish we could come here 3 times a week." I wish we could too, if only calories were free!

Great burger and fries, but I can't figure out why they don't have a sweet potato fries, which just about every other burger place these days does. They have great ice cream options (I love the root beer float) and it's one of my favorite places in town. It's definitely better than the chains, Smashburger and Five Guys, but Smashburger has WAY better fries because they have a sweet potato fry option! My only complaint is the younger members of the staff are totally clueless and ditzy. (When my sister asked for her burger to be cut in half, she was told they didn't have knives...in a restaurant.) If you're going to hire high school students to work for you, train them properly, reprimand them accordingly, and fire them when necessary. It's very off-putting for a lot of people, but I would still return because I love the food. (And it's not as expensive as people are saying...$20 for one person with no alcohol? How many burgers was that? You can get a "meal deal" with a burger, fries, and a drink for $8.95 before tax.)

I went to Chuburger for the first time recently. The burger and fries were pretty good. Decided to splurge (on calories) and get a shake, but BEWARE - it's not an ice cream shake! Who would know to ask? What they brought was WARM, and so thick it would not come up the straw. When I finally got a taste of it, I realized it was not an ice cream shake. When I took it to the manager, she explained that it's a custard mix that they whip air into, and she talked about it like it was a great thing. I told her I thought it was terrible, and instead of giving me my money back, she gave me a coupon for a free order of onion rings! The happy ending is that I emailed the general manager with my experience, and he was very apologetic and sent me a $20 gift certificate. I went a second time and got the bleu/bacon burger and onion rings, which are greasy with too much breading. Furthermore, I did not like their 'blue cheese butter'. I think there are many other burgers in the area that beat out this place. That was my last visit to Chuburger.

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.

Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States.
