Best Chinese food for the price I've ever had. I've been eating at Jade Garden (and getting takeout) probably six or eight times a year for 20 years, and it's always excellent. Special favourites are the steak cubes with sesame (to die for!) and the twice-cooked pork; the hot sour soup is top-notch.

I just love this place! We live nearby and, for the past 5 years, when we order Chinese take-out, it's always Jade Garden. Their dishes are consistently good and reasonably priced, and the staff has always been warm and friendly..even when ordering on the phone. Today was the second time I've actually dined inside the restaurant. I took my two young children with me. They loved their chicken lo mein and egg drop soup. Our polite and pretty waitress was attentive but not a hover-bot. It is so pretty inside! There are little waterfall "things" and a beautiful, giant vase right when you walk in. The music they had playing was so calming and just..pretty. I think it contributed to my kids having decent manners. The lighting is cool, too. I'll continue to give Jade Garden my business as long as they keep doing what they're doing.

I've been going here for probably 20 years when I'm in town to visit & it's still my fav Chinese restaurant. The lemon chicken is so fresh, so lemony and not too sweet.

This place is good... Good value and good food... Reccomend it. Not too pretentious.. Located in a shopette, it is not too hard to find.. most everything on the menu is good... i have eaten bad and good Chinese food, and this place is good.. Not too expensive. Much, much much nicer than dropping a wad of money at a Morton's or Shannahan's, or those other restaurants that rip you off... Stop getting ripped off... Go to these little places that offer great food at a decent price... Wait staff is nice also.

Much better food with the new management, but the prices have gone way up.

I have gone to this place several times and every time I have loved the food. The staff is nice but sometimes they can be too nice and helpful such as I take a sip of my drink and they instantly fill it. That is my only complaint but to me the food is amazing and I love it

My wife and I do take out here at least once per month. Good place and I'm a fan of their lo-mein. Strange decor but we've never ate inside the restaurant. They're always friendly which isn't always a gaurantee with some places.

This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Denver. For starters, it has the atmosphere of what I think a Chinese restaurant should be. While outside it looks like just another hole in the wall (it is located in a strip mall) inside is another story. Buddha's and temple type decorations adorn the interior of the establishment and you actually feel like you are in a Chinese restaurant as opposed to ones with lesser authentic decorations. The food is where this place really shines however. The pu pu platter is to die for, complete with a tiki torch center fire to heat up/cook your food. The hot and sour soup is amazing as is the sesame beef and chicken. I have also sampled the Kung Pao chicken. Each time eating here I have left with a smile and a full stomach. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because several of the wait staff who had offered curtious and attentive service recently quit and the new staff is not near as attentive or warm. Still highly recommended.

We were pleasantly surprised after trying Jade Garden for a weekday lunch, after having written off a few of the other "strip mall Chinese" places in the vicinity. The lunch specials are well-priced, and the food comes out fast. I ordered the yui-sheng beef, which came with hot and sour soup and an eggroll. The beef was tender, the vegetables were crisp, and the sauce was flavorful. The menu indicated that it was hot and spicy, but it really wasn't spicy at all. My wife didn't fare quite as well. She ordered sesame shrimp with wonton soup. The wonton soup was quite good, except that it lacked wontons. By the time we thought about saying something to our waiter, the food was out anyway, so no big deal. The sesame shrimp was really mostly breading. The sauce was flavorful, and if they would reduce the breading a little bit, the dish would actually be pretty good. We'll probably avoid the breaded shrimp next time around, but since everyone else's dishes looked pretty good, Jade Garden is going to go on our list of takeout Chinese places. We'll try a few other things and post updates as we do.

Very tasty Chinese Restaurant! I went with a friend and the service was great. Enjoyable egg drop soup (does have tofu in it). Egg rolls were tasty. I had the Vietnamese Pork Rice Noodle Bowl for my main course (I know...not Chinese). It was very tasty. My friend had the Sesame Chicken and it looked much better then what I got. I would recommend and plan to go again next time I am on that side of town.

Finally! My 12 year search for a good local Chinese restaurant has ended. This is the type of Chinese food I grew up on back East. Love it! They have real egg rolls...not those skinny things other restaurants pass off as egg rolls. Their Sezchuan beef is fabulous, and they will accommodate for children preferring a not so spicy dish. The prices are good, the atmosphere is actually better than many I've been in. The service is impeccable....it was as if our waitress knew when we neede something, but did not hover. The food was brought out in a timely manner, although we did not feel rushed. I highly recommend this to anyone who is craving good old fashion Chinese food. A winner!

Our initial destination was the BBQ place in the same lot, but we opted for Chinese instead. We were more than pleased. Others have noted service was not great, but I was impressed that any time it was noticed our drinks were not full, they were filled by any waiter or waitress that was walking by--even if we were not at their table. Our waitress was very nice as well. For the meal: Started with the Crab Cheese Wontons. Crispy with great flavor. Upgrading to a full meal gets you a gigantic egg roll, two wontons and soup. Both Egg Drop and Wonton soup were very good, as were the appetizers. For main dishes we had Kung Pao Chicken and Beef Lo Mein. The Kung Pao sauce is a bit on the sweeter side, which was different but tasty nonetheless. The Lo Mein was excellent. The ambiance/Chinese decor inside is unique and makes you feel far away from a strip mall in Centennial.

My family and I come here about once a year to get our fried Chinese food fix around the holidays. We always stock up on the won tons, which are especially good here. My brother and I draw on the tables (because they have white paper on top of their tablecloths, they're asking for it!) We usually get the typical good stuff, sesame chicken, kung pao chicken, beef & broccoli, pad thai, all served up with more than enough rice and we sip tea out of super tiny tea cups. It is an adorable tradition we've got going. The service is always good. The prices are always high when it is all said and done, and dad gets the bill.

This has been my family's favorite Chinese restaurant since before I was born!!!! The sesame chicken is amazing and so is the fried rice

I love the Jade Garden! Not only is the food amazing, but they also have really helpful staff and a great drink menu. Being from Denver but currently living in LA, I was shocked when I saw they had $3 domestic beers, and their drinks such as Mai Tais were under $6. When it comes to the food, I have never once had anything bad. My family comes to the restaurant every Christmas Eve. It's a group of about 25 of us, and we order one of everything, pretty much, and each person gets a taste of each dish. Can't go wrong. The service is also great. Really friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff.

This place has good food the waiters are fast and friendly. The obly problem that I have with this restaurant is that it doesn;t have a delivery service.

In the back of a parking log, between holly and university on arapahoe Very large place, quick service I went with the chicken and broccoli - wow, great! I'm usually a beef and broccoli gal. I skipped the rice, cause i was trying to be good. The eggroll was just like an east coast version - big and fat and fried!! The lunch special also came with soup. The hot and sour was ok, i had another one just 2 days prior that was amazing, so unfortunately this one got compared to it! Nice place to get a quick lunch in the DTC

Awful food! Horrible. Also, check your receipt. They charged more than what they marketed for each item.

This place is RIDICULOUS I went there with my two daughters and ordered soups and two appetizers to be told that it is an 8 dollar minimum per person. Are you kidding?? The place was empty and the soup was Pre made. Left never to go back.

Great local jem with an atmosphere unlike any other Chinese restaurant I've been. It looks a little weird from the outside, but once you make it through the doors you'll realize what you're in for. The quality of food matches the atmosphere too.

This place was delicious!!! I'm so happy I found a place that serves chow fun. My favorite! The food is very reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly and attentive.

The food isn't too bad here. It was better when the Hsu family owned it. The quality has diminished since the new owners came in a few years ago. I had the shrimp with lobster sauce, and the shrimp were tough and chewy. I would guess they had been in the freezer for a long time. The sesame chicken is pretty good. As is the Lemon chicken. The Kung Pao dishes are generally quite good. It's kind of strange that the new owner won't say hi, smile or anything else. We're regulars and we never even get acknowledged by her. The old owners knew us by name, would talk to us all the time. And generally just be personable. I'm not sure I've even ever received a thank you from her. It's too bad, because the restaurant is gorgeous inside. But is rarely crowded. I'm guessing if they would learn real customer service, the restaurant would flourish. We live about a mile away, so that's why we frequent the place. But it sure would be nice if someone acted like they appreciated our business!

After two years of living around the corner from Jade Garden we finally popped in for dinner on a Friday night. Oh man had we been missing out! The interior theme is really done well and there is a nice ambiance to the place. We got a booth against one of the walls and you feel really secluded from the rest of the dining area there. The server was more than helpful and attentive and explained the food and drink menu to us really well and never once he did act like our questions were a bother. I would recommend making any item you chose a dinner special so you can get the soup, fried wonton and eggroll. Their eggrolls and hot & sour soup (my FAV) were on point! The wonton, meh not so much - honestly they should serve them with the soup as you don't get crispy noodles. We tried a mix of the menu items - happy family, orange chicken, sesame chicken, moo shoo pork and the Jade Garden chow mein. Everything was amazing! Fresh ingredients made hot and to order (we were able to make substitutions with no qualms). Oh and try their Volcano drink - YUMMERS! Now, I always find Chinese food to be on the pricey side but for the amount of food they give you I have no complaints on the prices. We ended up going back a week later with some other friends and I'm sure will be regulars there in no time!

This is a good place to go on my lunch break with a friend- fast service and good food. I usually get the zucchini chicken with brown rice- yum yum. The soup is kinda a pass for me- don't really like any of them so can't speak to that. But during lunch it's super cheap and can get in and out in under an hour and under 9 dollars with tip- not bad at all.

This is one of those places you drive up to in a dark lot and go...This doesn't look safe. But when you walk in you're like HOLY CRAP SOOOO NICE. it's clean on the inside and the food is good. Not so heavy and too sweet like some places. It's balanced and fresh. Though their "spicy" stuff is NOT spicy. Aside from that a great place

A wonderful find. Once upon a prowl for dinner, me and my buddies had a hankering for chinese food and found this place awkwardly positioned between some bagel shop, a liquor store and a supermaket. This place's very plain and ghetto-fabulous door-with-no-window belies its interior; a quaint arched door adorned with various images of Buddha backed by some flora provides cover for arrivals which leads into a beautiful white and red palate with deeply-entrenched booths on the sides of the main dining room as well as a few slightly-raised levels, which give you a nice view of the space. There's also some sort of bar and maybe more seating sequestered behind the same sort of Eastern foliage that you see in the entryway. I can't remember the night we visited, but it was dead other than one older couple sipping wanton soup in one of those aforementioned booths, making it a good place to take a date. Decent service allowed us to order and receive our food in good time but the same service allowed some water glasses to run dry. They didn't have anything that your neighborhood asian place wouldn't have, other than some sort of abalone dish requiring something like 48-hours notice. The food is light, which was pleasant; I wasn't looking to gorge myself on foreign noodles. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein, one ordered Sesame Chicken, and I cannot remember what the other of us had. Orange Chicken, I feel. We all traded a few samplings of the others' plates and all enjoyed what the rest was having. Forty dollars for three entrees and an order or two of Crab Rangoon isn't especially terrible considering the nigh-elegant ambience this place has. Drop in for a nice dinner soon.

The bf told me he had been to this restaurant a few times with some co workers when he used to work in the area and wanted to take me here. The atmosphere of this place is adorable! In the center of the restaurant there is a hut type of thing that looks like it would be in an asian garden or something. The waiter we had was super friendly and always checked up on us and quickly refilled our drinks when needed. The sesame chicken definitely wowed us and the pu pu platter was awesome. Can't wait to return to this little diamond in the ruff.

We ordered take out one Saturday - one of the order was completely wrong. When I called, the owner/manager simply brushed me off - didn't believe me. Obviously they are forgetting there are so many other traditional Chinese restaurants in the area!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
