Ordered delivery from this place and I have nothing to complain about. The sandwiches and fries were still hot when they got delivered and everything tasted just as I expected. Prices seem fair and the sandwiches are filling. Pretty decent place!

They have shown great improvement since my last comment. Plus my boyfriend loves them... They have accurately been delivering our orders in a good amount of time so I can't complain about that. I apologize about my last comment I was hangry!

Yum! Never been a big sandwich person but my husband has been here several times this week. He can't get enough. So after trying another cheesesteak place which was disappointing we went straight to Taste of Philly. I will be coming with my husband now. Delicious!

Where do I start the customer service was very very good on the other hand the food is not up to par I had a Philly cheesesteak I have never ate so much fat in my meat so basically I cannot eat it mine. A friend ordered a Caesar salad that was literally $12 it should have been more like 2 or 3 dollars she said that the salad did not taste good whatsoever I don't know if the chicken was bad for what

I had high hopes since the advertise the best cheesesteak in the Denver area. But, after getting the Original Cheesesteak, I won't be going back. The roll is really good, but then it goes downhill. The steak in the sub is sketchy. It's not fresh. It's pre-processed somehow; almost kind of soupy. I'd prefer a freshly made cheesesteak from freshly diced and cooked shaved steak. You know, like they do back east.

As a vegetarian, I like all the options I can get on sandwhich. Throw a little hot sauce on it and BOOM. Fries are ok, pasta salad is better. Never had a to go or delivery, always eat in the store.

The quality of the food more than makes up for the sometimes lackluster and inattentive service. Hot, fresh, you really can't go wrong eating here. The Boylan's soda (several varieties) and Tastykake desserts help create a good, filling meal that won't leave you hungry. Just keep an eye on the staff so that if you order carryout, they don't forget about you and leave your food up on the counter for several minutes.

Great restaurant. I recommend this place to cheesesteak lovers. My favorite so far. For what you pay for you get the proper portions. A lot of Cheesesteak restaurants taste the same to me but this place takes the cake. It's like 3 miles from my house. Everything is good about this place. I will keep going back.

It's tough to find a good sandwich, let alone a cheesesteak, in the Denver area. We ordered large cheesesteaks and had them delivered across Lakewood. The delivery took a while, a bit over an hour, otherwise could've been a full 5 stars. The cheesesteak was awesome though, really just like a good old Philadelphia cheesesteak. Totally worth it.

  • Gabrielle S.

I love this place! Never disappointed, but I can't get myself away from the Original Philly. I wish I could try other options but I never do. Sometimes the simple ingredients are all you need. So good!!!

Just ordered over the phone. the guy who took my order was super nice... great food and great prices!!

  • Rebekah D.

The best cheesesteak I have ever had and they deliver!!

  • KJ P.

If you want a Philly cheesesteak, and you want it to be authentic, you could do a lot worse. The prices are a little high, but they deliver a nice, hot cheesesteak with white American cheese on the right kind of roll (Philly people know what I mean). They even have a selection of Tasty Cakes and Boylan's sodas if you're missing the City of Brotherly Love.

This place has very good chicken phillys and I LOVE that they have Green Chile in pieces, not simply a pork stew mixture like so many CO restaurants. But, they mess up my order at least 33% of the time and maybe more. I like their food, but come on guys, get a simple order right.

The delivery was not free nor fast. The driver carried no cash and the website wouldn't accept a credit card. for real?!? By the time we got our food, 2 sandwiches and a med fry, it had been well over an hour... The food was cold by the time we got it. We will not be ordering here again...

    (1)
  • Todd S.

Ordered two sandwiches tonight. After an hour I called to see if they forgot. Guy on the phone said it was oout for delivery. At an hour and a half the driver showed. Food was soggy and cold. Tried to reheat but it still tasted like crap. Will never eat here again.

The Good: The food was awesome! Great taste and flavor. I had a wrap and the tortilla was moist, the veggies were fresh, and the dressing wasn't too creamy or heavy. The Bad: It was a rainy day, my food took over an hour to arrive. The worst part is they brought me potato salad instead of pasta salad... :( Nothing you can do when it is delivered. Also, it was very rainy.

Peppers Philly is my favorite and I swear they have this best Cheese Fries around.....Cheese Whiz of course. Delivery is great and always fast. Even delivered they have crisp great tasting fries. Can't say much about other menu items as my only reason and it is a good one, for going here is their cheese steaks. The large is large on the cheese steaks and the fries...especially the fries....a large can feed four or five people! We have eaten in a few times and the staff is always nice. A few other things that I like are the fact that they have Boylan's Sodas and Tasty Cakes.

I ordered "the works" and it was awesome. The prices aren't bad. The menu is the perfect size so it isn't hard to pick something. This place is located in a crummy strip mall, I wouldn't typically find myself in the area. If you are stuck at discount tire for 45 minutes I would recommend coming here. The decor could really use some updating, posters for movies that came out a long time ago, among other cluttered things hanging on the wall. Service was pretty good. No complaints.

Price is too high for low quality food. Ridiculous delivery fees. Skimp on the chicken for a $10 salad. Very unsatisfied. Would not recommend to anyone.

Fantastic food and great people. The fries are the best I've had in Denver, and the little seasoning bar is a nice touch. The cheese steaks are beefy and tender but with the right amount of chew... And the bread is steamy and pillowy. So good!

  • Ryan H.

Really good philly cheese steak 6 times out of 10. Probably one of the best cheese steak I have had around here. The meat, cheese, and bread always taste good. I wish they didn't use canned and cheap ingredients but hey I don't go there to be healthy anyways. I just wish they weren't canned mushrooms. So gross. However, it still taste so good! Now about the 4 times out of 10. Some days this place is scary. You go in and all the tables are dirty but there is like 2 people eating in there. The food takes forever. They seem to be out of fountain drinks on a regular or the syrup is not being checked. I have also got cold fries when I was like the only person there. So obviously I got old fries just sitting around. Don't order delivery from here though. Everytime I order it takes about an hour and a half no mater what time I order. They are kind of a joke when it comes to that. When I call they have no idea what is going on either. Maybe you shouldn't offer delivery if you are going to suck at it.

  • Azar S.

I've been here two times and both times the food was great but not excellent. I've tried the Philly steak as well as the turkey sandwich, both great choices. Located off Colfax and Kipling, give it a try, it's worth it!

  • Lora H.

It is sad that when you consistently (at least twice a month), patronize a business, they don't appreciate it and, if possible, cater to their regular customers. Usual delivery time is 45 minutes to an hour, I get that. However, an hour and a half for delivery of two regular sandwiches in the middle of the week, when it finally arrives cold, is outlandish! Their food is good, but we may just need to find a new Philly joint.

We ordered food for delivery. We ordered at 3:50 on a Sunday, called to check where it was at 5:15, they said it left at 5 for delivery, we are 5-8 minutes away and the food didn't show up till after 5:30 and it was ice cold. When I called the guy was VERY rude and said he wasn't sure what I wanted him to do about it. I will not be ordering from them again !

This establishment is worth it. Cute girls manning the register. A Great cheesesteak. Nice menu with lots of options. A Kids menu. And Even a Cheesesteak salad. Went on lunch and the wait wasnt bad. Despite hearing the wait for Delivery was up to 2 hours. YEESH. Glad i can walk in. Ordered the 8 inch cheesesteak with White american cheese. Had the perfect amount of grease that makes a cheesesteak a cheesesteak. The meat was delicious and they didnt skimp. The rolls hard but chewy at the same time. The one day i blow my diet a week i shall be back here. Assuming that day is when im working. Its that good. And if your really adventurous go for the Apollo 5lb Cheesesteak Challenge.

We ordered online for delivery. It seemed fairly easy. The food got here right on time and still HOT! So I realized while we were eating that my son's tuna sandwich didn't have lettuce and tomato on it which I swear I included, but I looked and it wasn't there. So fyi, double check your order before you submit. My bad! Anyway the fries were hot and tasty. The boy thought they were bland, but he hadn't dunked them in ketchup yet. The onion rings were good, just a tad greasy. My Philly cheese steak had loads of meat. I'm not much of a meat eater so I really could have used more veggies. Now that I know that they put that much meat on their sandwiches, I'll order more mushrooms, onions and bell peppers. All you carnivores out there will love it!! I loved it and I'll eat there again. The boy didn't like the brown mustard, but that's his fault for ordering it. Next time I'll order for him.

I eat out alot I am a security officer so I spend a ton of time in my patrol vehicle I work different sites all over so I really appreciate good food and taste of Philly never disappoints their prices are fair and there people are always friendly and this location is no different, I did just get their potato salad to cross the delivery minimum but was presently surprised it's actually really good, thanks guys great sandwich will be back

  • Kara A.

I've ordered delivery from here twice. Each time, I've ordered the mushroom chicken cheese steak. It's good, but not great. Good enough that I'd order from here for lunch again if initiated by my coworker, but would probably not choose to order from here on my own. There's plenty of cheese and the bread is very similar to the bread that you'd get in Philadelphia, but it's not a true Philadelphia cheese steak - take it from someone who spent the first 23 years of her life in Pennsylvania. Again, good. Not great. Just okay. Having said that, the lunch options near Union Blvd in Lakewood are pitiful, so if you're looking to try a decent place for lunch, give this place a try. Our delivery has arrived on time twice now so I'm not sure what was going on with the other reviewers. Overall, meh.

While I've never been to Philadelphia, I still love their namesake sandwiches and Taste of Philly puts out an excellent sandwich! The food is great, the servers friendly and professional and whenever I'm in the neighborhood it's my go to choice!

  • Scott R.

Best tasting sandwich I've had in Denver in a while. Bread was soft and fresh...meat and cheese was tender and creamy...Mmmm. Going soon with my buddy to try the Appollo!! ($30 cheesesteak challenge)

  • Chuckie G.

Great stuff. Good prices. I ordered a cheesesteak, my wife ordered a hot Italian sandwich. Both were great with a slight nod going to the Italian. Nonetheless we'll be back. ... oh yeah and a definite thumbs up for sponsoring club motorcycle racing. That alone is reason to patronize this place!

  • Nicole S.

Super fast and super friendly! I frequently pop in here for a quick lunch or a drink to go. Even smack dab in the middle of the lunch rush, I've never had to wait more than a minute or two in line to order. My sandwiches have always been grilled fresh and served hot within minutes. Everyone I've encountered who works here has been really nice and has given me a discount for working at another store in the shopping center. I've only ever tried their hot pastrami (Thursday's lunch special!), which was a little heavy on the meat, but it's worth the $7 if you need something to hold you over!

My wife and I have been trying in vain to find a replacement for the Cheesesteak Connection that just seemed to lock its doors one day at all locations. This place is my kind of place which means they don't waste a bunch of money on decorating the place. I got the chicken version of the classic and my wife had the cow version. I got the medium one and the wife got the huge to have extra for work the next day. We both ordered sides of fries not knowing how big they were. Holy moly one order of fries would have been enough for both of us for sure. Nothing wrong with too many fries though right?! Mine had great flavor and was big enough for me to have some leftovers later, of course I was pretty stuffed after eating all those fries. I imagine what I had tasted like a classic cheesesteak should as i've never really had a "classic" steak. I've always gotten one of the exotic combinations and got chicken. My favorite at the Cheesesteak Connection was the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak with crumbled blue cheese on top. Absolutely delicious. Give this place a try. The food is good, reasonably priced for food nowadays and might not be the best you'll ever eat but will definitely be a runner up. I would go back if it wasn't so far from my house.

Went here last week. Had an associate complain to me about one of the other workers being dumb. My sandwich was ok, my girlfriends wasn't. The sandwich was burnt we didn't realize it until we got home and unwrapped it. I tried a bite almost chipped my tooth on overcooked burnt cheese.

    (1)
  • Jenny C.

Their sandwiches are good, for the most part. My suggestion to you is to eat them in the store. Then you can tell them right away if they have included an ingredient you asked to be left off. You won't have to deal with a delivery driver who "forgot" your change, despite you telling the order taker what size bill you will be paying with. If you want to make multiple orders (such as coworkers paying separately), make sure each one is over $10. Otherwise, they won't deliver to you because they'll get in "trouble" if they do. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

  • Alex R.

I consider myself to be a bit of a cheesesteak connesoire and have been to all the "best cheesesteak" in Denver places. I will say this one is in the top three. I have had a couple cheesesteak hoagies (lettuce and tomato) and they are wonderful. Didn't have the fries or the rings... On par with Pats and South Philly down South.

Great cheese steaks. Nice clean restaurant and friendly staff.

This place is really really good! We went just 30 mins before closing time and they were still very nice and seemed happy to cook for us :) We ordered the mushroom which came out hot and yummy. The rolls are so good but the fries could have been skipped. So next time your having a craving for a good old sandwich make your way to this hidden spot :)

Where to start, where to start... I was really excited to try this place out. It's only a few miles from my office, and offered "free delivery." So my coworker and I order online at 11:15 and get excited for the 45 minute delivery time we are promised. Noon comes and goes.. nothing.. we wait another 20 minutes and decide to call to make sure they received our order. We are now at 12:20. The store promises our order is on the way. Ten minutes go by.. fifteen.. twenty (please keep in mind my office is LITERALLY 3 miles from this place. I didn't even complain to you about being in a so called "Red zone" that requires a $2 delivery fee, even the the site boasts about free delivery) minutes go buy... FINALLY! Our food arrives 30 minutes later at 12:50. Yes - an hour and 35 minutes after we ordered. I really find no excuse in this, as our order was all of 2 sandwiches and some fries... Now, when you have to wait THAT long for food, and your stomach has been grumbling and rumbling away, you are at least hoping for a delicious meal to somewhat make up for it. Well.. that is not what we got. The chicken on my sandwich was dry as cardboard with no flavor to at least add any excitement level. My "cheese" fries were cold and almost stale tasting. And no - these aren't the yummy fries that are baked with fresh gooey cheese on top. I got a little baggie of fries and a cup of ball park style nasty nacho cheese. Said cheese cost an extra 75 cents or so. Ew. Ew. EW. To top off this pathetic excuse for a lunch on a day that is supposed to be all TGIF!, they didn't even include my request for a side of ranch. :(

  • Myron L.

Food is ok, service is well just o k That being said about the food, the store is just filthy. They need to grab a bucket of cleaner and a scrubber during their down time and go after it. If the place were cleaner I would give it more stars. Maybe next time?

    (2)
  • Sarah S.

Everything I have been waiting for in a Philly. I have been ordering them on and off at a few places and they are shit. Finially I had to do it right and I'm not complaining. A fucking plus!

  • Lisa V.

Pretty good cheese steaks, but my husband prefers other local chains to this one.

    (3)
  • Arthur I.

The environment is great, very bright, big windows, very pleasant. I may not be the best Philly specialist, but I enjoyed other phillys more than this one. There is a lot of meat on the Hoggie.

  • J K.

Meh. Meh. Meh. Convenient, but a 90 minute wait for delivery is nuts, especially after the lunch rush. Food was tasty enough, but very greasy and just not something I'd get delivered again. Reminds me of why I ate it as a drunk college junior after a night at the bars.

    (2)
  • Joe D.

I waited forever for my food. When I ask about my food, they had no idea what I was talking about. It took them 20 minutes before I had to get up and find them and I mean find them to ask about my food. I will never go back there. Thank you for wasting my time! You suck!

I have been a loyal Taste of Philly customer for over 3 years. I have always ordered delivery to my house. Today when i called for delivery the girl on the phone told me that my address was out of delivery range and they wouldn't deliver west of Indiana street. I am east of Indiana street and i just ordered delivery less than two weeks ago from them. after explaining my situation, the girl on the phone was very rude to me and would not put the order through. i would drive to get my cheesesteak because its so close, but after the poor customer service i will never order from them again. My girlfriend and i ordered Chinese food that was 5 miles further than TOP. They had no problem delivering and i gave the delivery guy a really fat tip. i would not recommend ordering from Taste of Philly.

Love your cheesesteaks and Reuben. Sorry the coleslaw sucks.

Awesome steaks! Better than the dozen or so places we tried in Philly! Gotta love a place with a food challenge too!

  • April A.

The food here is delicious, and makes up for the rather inattentive service. They seem to have quite a few employees, but don't let that fool you, you still don't get five star service. We frequently order from here at work for delivery. They get a little bit disgruntled with you if you have multiple orders, to they point that one of them used swear words when I called in my order. Really? You just made quite a bit of money off of one trip, and we always tip well. I'd recommend dining in, and concentrating more on the quality of the food, rather than the lack customer service.

    (3)
  • Andy E.

Enjoyed my 12" works with Whiz, lots of meat, real Philly rolls, my girlfriend's BLT was spot on, there is a little wait in the dining room but not bad. The location is tucked away in a little shopping center so it's not easy to spot from the street. Staff was friendly and courteous while we explored the menu. Will return soon!

    (4)
  • Bonnie G.

Meh- that's my reaction. Right now, we're living closer to Taste of Philly versus the place we used to go yelp.com/biz/phillys-che… I had an original with chicken and my husband had the pepper cheesesteak sandwich. We both agree the quality of food is better at the other place. The fries were just okay, but the onion rings were way too greasy. Staff was nice. If my husband wants to go back, I'll go but I don't know if I'll actually get anything.

    (2)
  • Jeannie S.

my husband and i just moved from the east coast to denver area and have been looking high and low for the cheesesteaks we are use to. this place was right on the money. excellent customer service over the phone, delivered on a snowy day, even the driver was awesome. def order from here again and recommend.

    (5)
  • Alia Z.

I don't know about their delivery because I ate there every time I've gone. I usually get the mushroom (philly cheesesteak with mushrooms added in). It is served scalding hot, with the bread super fresh, the cheese melty over the meat that's perfectly cooked. So tasty it's addictive!

    (5)
  • Christine D.

Okay, I've never been to Philly, so I don't know about authentic. But -- it sure tasted good! At the cashier's recommendation, I got a works cheesesteak. I was good -- stuffed full of meat, and a nice balance of the other toppings (cheese, onions, mushrooms, peppers -- probably some other stuff but I don't remember). I asked if the fries were crispy, and was told they could be made extra crispy -- and they were! And a decent price, I thought. I'll be back to try the Reuben...

    (4)
  • Angela S.

Wow!! Thats all I can say... They have the BEST philly cheesesteak,ever... Very kind and curtious staff.. I will deff recommend to all my friends and family...
