This Olive Garden is my favorite place to eat. I have been coming here for years but it took me so long to review because there are not enough stars available to convey how much I enjoy it. This location specifically has good service and constantly good food. Unlimited salad and breadsticks and then a delicious entree. While they have raised the prices in recent years I still think it is worth it for all the food you get. I come in at least once a month and I am never disappointed. The mushroom ravioli is great as is the raspberry lemonade and all of the desserts. They also give coupons periodically which is nice.

Olive Garden is mediocre, reheated Italian food, but you should know that coming in. Staff won't be the best, food will be edible but nowhere near great, and you'll probably enjoy yourself somewhat. Food is okay. Service is okay. That's about it. Last three times I've been here, someone was treating me. If I'm paying for Italian food, I'm not coming here.

I am a fan of Olive Garden and this location is enjoyable to come to. I'd say that a majority of our dining visits have gone rather well. There are a few where we had a problem, but the manager on duty took care of it. On my last visit, I called ahead for a take-out order. The older male host was very sweet to my daughter and gave her crayons and a menu to look at while we waited. On our way out, he gave her an extra one for her brother, and he went to open the door for us. It's the small gestures like that that keep us coming back.

We were craving our favorite soup, Zupa Toscana. I purchased a gallon size to take home for $22. Once home we had 2 bowls and refrigerated the rest. The following day I noticed a huge difference in appearance, warmed it up. YUCK IT WAS SOUR. I took it back, explained the situation and asked if I could get a refund or a replacement equal to the amount I returned. The replacement was quite smaller. What a ripoff. If I do decide to return to Olive Garden it will be another location. My advice CHECK FOR SOUR FOOD

Just as my previous review started: I can't believe I am saying this, but.... I am a semi-regular at this Olive Garden. For real. They're close by, convenient, clean, usually friendly staff and... wait for it... GOOD FOOD. I mean it. Now... Is it Michelin-Star rated Tuscan Countryside Cuisine? Oh, heck no. Is it a very palatable $13 plate of (almost al-dente) pasketti and meatballs? One that my hubby (when I haven't made my simmered-all-day meatballs) is consistently happy with? Yep. You Betcha. I can usually find something that pleases my palette, too. Tonight it was one of their "build your own..." combos: Paccheri Pasta (Gigantic tubes) with Creamy Sun Dried Tomato sauce and Mini Sausage Meatballs! Loved it. (Took 2/3 home, too.) For $11.99, that came with the typical salad / breadsticks / soup. I love their Pasta Fagioli in general, and their Chicken & Gnocchi is a sure bet for cold days.... oh yeah, and it came with dessert, too. For twelve bucks. I think the thing to remember here is that: You're getting out of here for about $15 a person. On those "I really, really, really don't feel like cooking" days... We're hard pressed to find a better "Comfort Food" option.

Jamie was my girlfriend and I's server; she said she's only been here a week and she's great! I'd highly suggest requesting a seat at "Jamie's table"! The food here was great! We received our soups and breadsticks promptly. The Lasagna Fritters were amazing; I'd highly suggest this appetizer! I did the Buy One Take One deal with the Prosciutto Tortellini Alfredo. The entree was delicious! Same Olive Garden taste but I am giving it 4 stars for quality of service every time we've been!

Omg.. Only go if you really don't like Italian. This is not an Italian restarant!! You do better to go to King Soopers to buy pasta and dome Ragu. Why is this place so popular! Must be the breadsticks!

Excellent food quality and service from our favorite server, Brenda. The salad, bread sticks are yum. Portions are adequate and all very good

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of Olive Garden in general, but this location has reversed my bad attitude towards the chain. The food here is prepared perfectly, I ordered the tilapia (which isn't my favorite fish) and it is the best preparation of the fish I have had...it's delicious! The risotto bites are crispy and pleasantly warm inside, the calamari was tender and not chewy. Polite service rounded out the lunch nicely. Thank you!!

Service is amazing, food is delicious but if you react badly to MSG run away from Olive Garden. Olive Garden was one of the restaurants I never had to worry about until now. Last night we are there and everything was fine, no alcohol, nothing to allow myself to hurt and this morning I've been in bed all day with what I refer to as an 'MSG migraine'. Those of you that get them know what I mean. I used to love going to Olive Garden, but alas we will never be visiting again.

Quality is poor. Two different tables took back their food because of this. If you like slimy salad, over hard croutons, over cook breadsticks, under cooked noodles and wobbly chicken gnocchi or no sausage in the zuppa tuscana. The food preparation, taste and appearance is poor for the cost. We live up the street but will never come back.

I absolutely love Olive Garden's food, and have enjoyed eating there occasionally for many years. This location is in a nice area, convenient, with friendly staff. Unfortunately, each time I have eaten at this location the food was not the quality I am used to. I did complain one time, because I dined in, and the manager was wonderful. He offered to refund the money or replace the item, which made me happy. I would give more stars except that the other times I ordered to go, the food was average at best. But in all fairness, I never made a complaint those times.

This is the closest Olive Garden to my house, but I much rather drive to the one in Golden. This Olive Garden has really bad waiters, and even worse Managers. We will never visit this restaurant again!

Had a great and experience here. We went for my sister's birthday party and had a rather large group. This, to my surprise did not diminish the excellent service that I received here. I was a little disappointed that they had to get rid of singing happy birthday to patrons, I really was looking forward to having that experience for my sister's party. Even still, they took really good care of us all, our server out of the kindness of her heart brought out a cupcake with a candle for my sister, which was especially cool. Definitely would recommend for others.

Olive Garden is place you go when you want decent Italian food for a decent price. The food is generally tasty and cooked well, and the menu revolves enough that you have something new to try if you don't go all the time. I will complain until my dying breath about their alfredo - it sucks. It's watery and tasteless. They don't use real parmesan, and I think they use milk instead of cream. I do enjoy their soups - they are quite good and consistent. The salad dressing is a very nice staple as well. Their wines could definitely be better, although the sweet moscato isn't bad, and I REALLY love their peach sangria. There is nothing extremely special or amazing about the food, but it satisfies and you get a lot for what you pay.

I came here twice, both times on a Sunday evening. The food was great as always but the service was pretty bad. On the first occasion, when we walked in there were about 5 employees and non of them acknowledged us. They were busy taking for like 2 minutes. Finally one of them asked us "how many?" She didn't even greet us! On the second occasion the same thing happened but this time the waitress just assumed we wanted salad and didn't ask if we wanted soup. She didn't ask us to try wine either. At the end she charged us for the salad! For the price of the food I would expect better service. I've been to fast food restaurants with way better service.

I like this restaurant BUT the server lady smelled like cigarettes, very bad, it was not good at all. I went last night. I might not go back there. :(

Very friendly staff. I came here several times and they always take very good care of us. The good is great. Menu has alot of variety. The do have a order to go website now as well. Only complaint is out servers take to long to fill up drinks.

It's good value, service is always great, and who doesn't like unlimited breadsticks and salad. Always leave here feeling that money was well spent.

First great experience at the Olive Garden in a long time! Began with a sample of their exclusive Rose (we proceeded to order a bottle). Proceeded with Bruchetta, salmon fondu and stuffed mushrooms for apps. I ordered off of the "lighter side" menu and was pleasantly surprised at how full I ended up. Everything ate was well above par from what I usually expect from chain restaurants. The cadence of the food delivery was perfect.

Not the best experience, my husband and I came in with my niece one Friday. Took about 15 minutes to be seated, no big deal. Here were my issues: The booth was dirty, where I had to wipe it off before sitting. The waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there, felt like get in, get out... Non-service. We ordered drinks, and We were never asked if we would like another, even being finished before the entrees. I ordered the citrus chicken, overcooked, and like it had marmalade on top. Ordered a second basket of breadsticks for my niece to have with her soup, had to re-request once she was basically done with soup. Also- as far as I can tell I should have received a buy one take one order- never offered. My husband disliked his one margarita. Bill came out to 73 with 15% tip- a lot for three of us.

    (2)
  • Debbie M.

Warning to everyone. Do not fall in to the buy one take one home trap. The deal is not great because they charge you extra plus add on 3.00! So you basically save only 5.00 and food the next day taste blah and the chicken was chewy and the veggies were old. I am very disappointed. Olive Garden is my favorite place to eat but this experience was not a choice I would do ahain.

If your looking for a inexpensive italian meal definitely come here. Service is good the food is yummy and it doesn't hurt that the prices are reasonable. The breadsticks and salad is always fresh and good.

Oh, the calories I would eat here if only I had one of those unlimited pasta cards. This location went from 3-4 stars to 5 stars for me tonight. We like to order to go, but truth be told, we have realized that they got our order wrong when we got home on two occasions . Tonight, they forgot one of our soups (no big deal because we live nearby), and when I called to request that they prepare one for us, the manager (Jerry) immediately offered a free dessert of our choice. They were super friendly and professional, which already goes a long way, but throwing in the dessert meant a lot to us. Also, we have both worked in the service industry and recognize that when a restaurant is packed on a Saturday night, it's easy to miss something occasionally. Going the extra mile when a restaurant is packed is what makes us come back over and over.

Worse and terrible service ever!!! I had to ask waitress for the salad because he didn't brought it ask for more bread even for more drinks because he didn't bother to check on us. Definitely not coming back this is the second time I got this kind of service at this location.

Olive Garden... reliable yumminess, pretty good no matter which one you go to. The bf and I tried this one after I had a craving for Alfredo sauce while seeing their commercials all over the television. It gets in your brain. It's not your fault... plus that 2 for $25 menu!? come on... Anyways, they seated us quickly even though they were packed and I ordered this shrimp & scallop with butter sauce and asked for Alfredo sauce instead. No problem though I had to pay a little more. However, when I got it I couldn't really taste the Alfredo... and was kind of disappointed. But... the waitress and was so nice and brought me an extra side of Alfredo and told the manager. The manager, Monica (I think), brought me a whole extra serving that she made sure had Alfredo for me to take home. Once I had the extra sauce it was fine, I didn't ask for more. But the manager just did that out of kindness and I really appreciated them caring. That was really cool. After that was the dessert and my bf and I each got a different dolcini. OMG, soooooooooo yummy! I would go back just for those and drinks. I had the Tiramisu one and it was amazing. Anyways, I will definitely be heading back to this Olive Garden.

This is the best Olive Garden location! We go out and eat at different restaurants all over Denver and had the best service at the OG. The hostess was sweet, our server Carmen was just awesome, and the manager with cool glasses came to the table to see how our dinner was. The food was also so fresh and was better than ever expected. This sure felt like a 5 star restaurant and we will never go to a different Olive a garden again :-)

This location is nice, convenient, and tidy. As a chain, Olive Garden's soup doesn't live up to expectation - always TOO SALTY! And I've tried almost all of them. Their breadsticks are OK, could be better if served with butter or olive oil & balsamic vinegar. Thank god the salads are good, always fresh, crunchy, with big rings of onions and tasty croutons, served in a large bowl is what I appreciate the most! My staple in OG is always the Trio of Italy, you get to sample their breaded chicken, very flavorful albeit being a little on the dry side; alfredo fettuccine; and the delicious lasagna. I can never get enough! Because I love to sample, I also got the Sampling Appetizer with two items: Stuffed Mushroom and Toasted Beef & Pork Ravioli. The former was soaked in oil but tasted good. The latter, just like the chicken, is too dry, I would actually prefer them not tasted! My boyfriend also let me taste his Seafood Alfredo, it was bland, some of the pasta wasn't even cooked through! Not worth the money! For dessert, we were in between Tiramisu or Pumpkin Cheesecake. The cheesecake won because it was labeled "Limited Time Only". But really, it's not that special and I wish we would've gotten the soft looking tiramisu. Well, there's always next time! One thing I don't particularly enjoy about OG, but it's because of my own problem, is that they try to pair your meal with alcoholic drinks. Our server's face literally turned down after realizing we weren't going to order any!

Garden of Earthly Delights. This Olive Garden continues to surprise me with outstanding quality and service. The prices are very reasonable and my sweetie and I keep coming back here and not just because it's close to our house. Their pasta and meatballs are very good and MUCH better than the pricier Macaroni Grill who continues to diminish in quality. The appetizers are delicious (try the Calamari and fried Ravioli). Their breadsticks are also very good and freshly baked. Their Italian sodas are also exceptionally notable. If I can fault them for anything it's the fact that their desserts, specifically the Tiramisu, has always come frozen solid like Han Solo in Carbonite on several occasions. They actually get their desserts from The Cheesecake Factory so they probably get it shipped frozen prior to refrigerating. It would be nice if they would thaw out their desserts a bit more before serving because this would be a great alternative to going to all the way to The Cheesecake Factory if only we could enjoy eating it here.

Chain Italian food... If you have been to an Olive Garden you know what you are getting. I can't complain though good food great prices... Nice welcoming staff and consistent service.

Mostly sorta tolerable, with some good stuff and some really bland and unexciting stuff thrown in. I'd avoid the never-ending pasta bowl if you are after flavor; bland, bland, bland but plenty of it. :-( The breadsticks range from awful to acceptable, depending on whether there's enough garlic salt on them. In contrast, the zuppa Toscana is outstanding with lots of flavor; and the chicken soup is soothing, creamy, and pleasant. The salad is predictable and good unless you get a bowl that's been left standing around -- in which case, the dressing will have turned everything into a soggy and unappealing mess. They'll bring you a fresh one if you complain, so do. I do like their eggplant parmigiana, which I prefer with meat sauce instead of the marinara. Just be careful what you order.

The parking lot was PACKED during the weekend lunch rush, so after making my initial sweep of the lot, I sent my husband in to nab some seats while I made another go around. I'm fairly certain that I snagged the last spot in the whole lot! Considering how packed that the lot was, I was surprised when I walked in and my husband had already been seated. At any rate, the hostess didn't have any trouble locating our table at the back of the restaurant (kudos to my husband for thinking to leave a name at the front desk. The restaurant is HUGE! I would have never found him...). Our waitress was nice but undoubtedly stressed. There was a bit of a wait between taking our drink orders and taking our meal orders. However, she always made sure that we had a fresh supply of soup, salad, and drinks to keep us satisfied. We definitely had our fill of unlimited soup, salad, and pasta, but that didn't stop us from taking a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake home to savor later!

My daughter and I arrived on a Sunday at 12:50 PM. We wanted the all you can eat soup and salad. We couldn't find it on the menu. When we asked our server about it, he said it was because we were looking at the dinner menu. I asked why we weren't given lunch menus since it wasn't even 1:00 yet and he said they only give out dinner menus. Of course the dinner menu will cost you a few extra bucks per person, and that is why you are not given the choice. Don't be fooled. Ask for the lunch menu.

There's nothing I like more than going out for an authentic italian meal, but when I get a coupon we go to The Olive Garden. Everything about The Olive garden warrants high class dining: beautifully composed italian instrumental music blaring from a boombox and sophisticated decor of christmas lights strung from wall to wall create a true ambience to make you feel as though you were taking a gondola ride through romantic Rome. Adorned with the kind of fall-colored rolly chairs my grandpa would bust out for thankgiving dinner and a goth-kid waitress with slicked down bangs, I couldnt help but feel imperial to be dining at such a fine establishment. I shall not even begin to express the delight I felt to banquet with such a stunning crowd- a screaming kid, a whoreish looking woman with snow boots on who was the belle of the ball, and let us not forget the goth-kid waitress. The food is of course the real reason I travel 8.8 miles just to get here. The warm breadsticks, overpowered by a salty seasoning, were the perfect compliment to the authentic italian salad made with a high quality iceberg lettuce, which was probably organic and farmed from the swiss alps as it was so delectable. The main course was one of a baked ziti with a 5 cheese filling. Topped with a sweet marinara, I hadn't had the priviledge of devouring such a playful yet mysterious little dish since one Chef Boyardee had personally prepared a dinner for me in 1997. I am only disappointed that the overwhelming portions had filled me up so that I couldnt fathom one of Olive Garden's sinful desserts. The exceptionally aged wine, the romantic ambience, and the free Andes mint after dinner will keep me coming to Olive Garden for years to come. Viva l'Italia!

My bill is 11 dollars. They don't have any ones in the whole restaurant (Im convinced its a lie) at lunch time. The bartender kept the change for twenty without asking. Food is run of the mill mass produced microwaved crap, as is expected when eating there.

As far as Italian chains go, the Olive Garden is A-OK. I know that whatever location I go to, most likely the fare will be edible and moderately priced. I'll be able to enjoy those breadsticks and that Zuppa Toscana, and usually the Spaghetti bolognese for my main course...do they even call it bolognese there? Anyway, this happens to be my go-to location on the rare occasion that I go, and it always seems mobbed, yet the service is prompt and pleasant. What can I say? When I'm there, I'm family...

  • Jeremy C.

I came here for lunch with a friend. I have to say as far as Italian food goes, this rates up there with Denny's. I know, I hate on Dennys a lot and how can I do that when they have stuff like Moon Over Myhammy. That's exactly why. No one sounds intelligent when they say that. But I digress, Olive Garden is why we're reading today. While this one is not any different than any other Olive garden, I just have no love for it. The food is mediocre, the service is ok, and there are about a thousand other Italian restaurants that are better. It's great for people without taste buds or teens who want to impress their prom dates with somewhere fancy, otherwise I'd pass.

This was my fiance's first time going to this Olive Garden and unfortunately we were disappointed. Our server was in attentive, even going so far as getting the next table's desert ready while boxing our food. Seriously??? Just overall poor waiter service. The table across from us seemed to be getting better service (different server). We started with the lasagna frittata, um it was good, but it also looked like the kitchen just sloppily put the item on the plate. Not appealing looking, but still good. I ordered the seafood portofino and it was good temprature was good and of course the food very filling. My fiance's shrimp and crab tortellini was good, his response to mine. I would rather drive 30+ minutes to the Northfield Olive Garden then go here. But with us, we may give it another shot and hope for the better.

It's been a few years since I've been to an Olive Garden so I was excited for the salad and bread sticks! They were as good as I remembered. I had the Seafood Portofino..mussels, scallops, shrimp and mushrooms served over linguine in a garlic-butter wine sauce! It was delicious!!! Yum! I also had an Italian Margarita with is sooooo good! The service was great! We had a very friendly waitress and didn't wait long at all for our lunch. I won't wait so long to go back!

I love this Olive Garden. Every time I go in the food and service is amazing. I ordered the chicken alfredo and asked if they could batter the chicken (Recommended by another Olive Garden on south Wadsworth). It was the best, I had it for left overs the next day ;-D

I have no shame, I'm reviewing OG on Yelp. For some reason I feel the need to drag my husband here every few years for the unlimited pasta bowl. It's inexplicable because it's always underwhelming and I can only eat SO much pasta anyway. However the other night we were way out in the burbs, also a rare thing, and we stopped in here to eat and go over some paperwork on a big decision. Overall I would give the whole experience two stars. The chain interior is blah. Lighting weird and off-putting. The food was okay - my creamy portobello mushroom over oriechette was much heavier than what I normally eat, almost too rich. I tried a few bites of the three-meat chianti sauce and apparently the combo of meat, sausage and pepperoni is just too salty for me. And I love salt. The salad was underdressed and the breadsticks had barely any flavor - not that it stopped me from eating more than one. But I'll give OG those two stars because really, I knew exactly what I was getting when I stopped here. And our server was sweet. Even though she accidentally reversed our pastas and sauces on the 2nd try. It will probably be another few years before I'm back...if my husband allows it again at all ;)

  • Andrea P.

Okay this is not me hating on all Olive Gardens, I do sort of enjoy Olive Garden on occasion - I mean who doesn't love their salad or 140 calorie bread stick? 140 calories taste so good! Now this particular one never really blew me away on service, and the food is just about the same as you can expect from any OG. We went in on a Saturday night, which you'd think would be super busy...it wasn't, at all. Despite the 4 man hostess crew the restaurant looked pretty dead, so I'm not sure why the long wait. Now my husband does have an accent, but he ordered lthe Steak Tuscan...and he got: Steak Gorgonzola. Which I mean do sound alike...in a very small way. If she didn't understand maybe she should have asked. Anyways, here comes the Gorgonzola which has two things my husband hates: blue cheese and a cream sauce. She doesn't swing back despite the pretty small amount of tables so finally when she helps the table next to us I ask what he was eating. Well...she took it pissed off, like he had changed his mind and now is demanding a different dish, not even asking if he wanted to munch on it until the real dish comes. Nope, just a big, fine and take the plate. I eat my entire plate (I got a lunch portion - don't judge me!) and finally his food comes. It was awesome just getting to watch each other eat. At most places if they screw up your order they comp you, offer a free appetizer/dessert or something, b/c it kind of sucks when you and your husband eat at two very different times. They didn't offer anything, and we did pay for it. $41 tab, $5 tip - that's right, I let her know w/ my 13% tip. As we walk out you'd think 1 of 4 hostess/host could say "Have a good night" or something, but all 4 seemed to be enjoying whatever gossip is going on about who is dating who this week. Won't be back...and that would be true even if I wasn't moving away from this one.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
