This is the best "Bang for the Buck" eatery in Lakewood, PERIOD! I was at another business making a purchase and everyone there had Chinese takeout and I asked it if was any good and they said "Not only is it good but it's super cheap, try it". I tried it and although it's the typical Chinese-American fare that every buffet and takeout joint in America has I was shocked by the size of the portions, quality of the meat and vegetables as well as the friendliness of the staff. This is a Perfect Storm where a "Mom and Pop" attempt at creating a big name style Chinese eatery has ended up providing something better than the usual lunch hour feed trough selling $1.35 per scoop of "whatever" They will fill a large styrofoam "To Go" carton with fresh, delicious food for $5, they will make substitutions without blinking and often throw in extras for their regular customers like a spring roll or wonton. If you are lucky enough to get there on just the right day, the Vietnanamese Chef will sneak his Spicy Beef dish past his Chinese wife(they are the owners) and you will get to enjoy an unusually savory beef dish with huge chunks of Tender Roasted Beef, Jalepeno and Potato in a brown sauce that had a flavor that seemed almost like a fusion of French and Asian cooking styles with Jalepeno thrown in to make it downright exciting! It sounds weird but it was so good I have taken to requesting it every time I go in although it's not a regular menu item. They seem to be a relatively new business and still haven't developed a large following so seating isn't a problem but I suggest getting there early to make sure you are getting the freshest food right out of the kitchen(I like to show up between 10:30-11:30).

Its ran by 2 women and 1 guy. The guy always stays in the back unless he comes to the front to make fun of the women which is comical. The women are nice and curteous. Big fan here. They are a hidden lil gem in Lakewood. If you want a cheap meal that fills you up this is the place. They serve things by the scoop. And scoop i mean 2 BIG scoops for everything you get for $1.50 / scoop. So a standard 2 scoop meal is like $3.30 with tax. Not bad. The take home menu i got is a lil off. The teriyaki chicken is served on a skewer instead of cut in pieces like the picture shows. Also the combos are all $4.95 for what it shows in the picture and you get the roll and can drink. They are even accommodating to your needs/wants. I get the spicy chicken (most people do) but ask for less peppers and onions and they usually do their best.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
