This is the first vegetarian restaurant I have been to so I didn't really know what to expect. IT IS AMAZING. I got the Chicken bacon and avocado club. Everything was fantastic. You have to try the lavender blueberry lemonade. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly. Food came quickly. ( went at 2pm)

We have been eating at Native Foods since it was in CA only so we're so excited to see it expand here at home. We eat here about twice a month and I've noticed a few things, but I think our biggest complaint is the inconsistency. Sometimes whole components of a dish will be different like slaw missing from the taco or last time the kale bowl has giant, raw, unbeatable chunks of zucchini. Also the staff doesn't seem excited about what their is doing. Nobody really has a passion for the vision of the restaurant and they just churn you through the line. They also have changed their kids menu which isn't great anymore. But it's ok, because nobody there is thrilled when you bring in kids anyway. That said, the gems like chicken run ranch, scorpion burger, and cheeseburger are great staples that are hearty and hit the spot when you don't eat chicken or meat ever. I love this place I just wish they'd tighten up their procedures a little bit so every time we went we know what to expect.

I just want to move to Denver for a week to be able to try every single thing on their menu! This is a vegan restaurant. Everything is so flawless and made with nothing but natural & healthy ingredients. Even their cupcakes are made with almond milk! I opted for the Thai meatball bowl and added tofu into it, plus a peanut butter parfait for dessert. The meatballs are fantastic, lightly crispy on the outside, a little juicy on the inside, seasoned with many wonderful herbs and tossed in a sweet chili sauce (it's not spicy at all though, just sweet). This bowl is filled with never ending kale, some broccoli, and quinoa on the bottom. I'm also happy I decided to add tofu cause it was tender and plentiful. There are so many organic teas to choose from, but my favs would have to be the lavender lemonade and watermelon fresca. I had two cups of the watermelon and even asked for a to go cup as well. Trust me when I say that this place has the BEST and freshest watermelon juice I've ever had, HANDS DOWN. the peanut butter parfait is such a guilty pleasure with banana bread, flakes of coconut or something, a light peanut butter soufflé-like cream, and topped with mini chocolate chips.

Friendly and helpful staff. So many tempting goodies such as brownies and cupcakes. The Oklahoma burger was tasty, messy, and super filling. Yummy fries. Can't wait to try the avocado wrap and I will have to get a brownie. I signed up for their rewards program so next time I go I will get 50% off or bogo :)

I am giving this place 5 starts because there is nothing quite like it around. The food here is delicious, served in a cozy yet trendy, fun environment, and really gets you thinking about what you are eating. Oh yeah, and it's pretty much "fast food." Similar to a place like Panera, you order at the counter, and receive your food in about 5-10 minutes. I've tried a number of the bowls and soups, and love them each time. This place may not be for everyone, but if you are vegetarian, vegan, or simply interested in what you put in your body, give Native Foods a try. Also, I hope to see this restaurant expanding around CO...we need more places like this!

Obsessed. Not even a vegan but the food here is soooooo good. Me and my friend even ordered stuff to go because we knew we'd want it for later! Did the curry bowl and all their teas are amazing! I love that they even have beer and wine :) I wish they had this over on the east coast in jersey... Still craving it! Def making it a point to go again when I'm in the area

Vegan food with tasty meat substitutes. I love the Chicken Run Ranch sandwich, my husband loves the Scorpion Burger (and he is a big meat and potatoes kind of guy), and I also love the Aztec salad. If you visit Native Foods you MUST try the watermelon drink mixed with the lavender lemonade. Super tasty. Highly recommend, especially for those who are health conscious.

Yes yes yes. This place really hit the spot. Entirely plant based menu but I really believe most would enjoy the meaty sounding knockoffs if they approach with an open mind. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. I had the "meatball sub" which was really tasty on great chewy bread. I'm a bit cheap so the only hold back on a 5 star rating is portion size. 9 bucks for a sandwich is a bit pricey to me if it doesn't come with a side.

  • Alice K.

I have updated my rating from 5 star to a 1 star - simply due to the fact that their prices have skyrocketed! The meatball sub was already a bit expensive, but it just went up to almost $9 for the sub. And that is JUST the sub, no sides, no drink, nothing - just the sub. To me, that is ridiculous, sadly, I never plan on coming here again.

Great food and great service! The atmosphere is wonderful and they have the best vegan desserts. Haven't had one bad thing here yet!

Tried a different location on my second visit (first visit was the location near Alameda and Colorado). I ordered the same dish I ordered the first time because it was so good - the Thai Meatball bowl. The Boy ordered the BBQ burger and my dad ordered the grilled avocado plate. This location was much busier and I didn't like the layout as much, though it's on a hill and has a very nice view. My entrée also came out a little soggier and with a little less power slaw, but the flavor was still consistent. Which is to say, delicious. Love the lemongrass broccoli and the thai sweet chili sauce! The Boy did not care for his burger. The vegan cheese was apparently a little off-putting. My dad enjoyed his grilled avocado plate, though he didn't like that the avocado was cold (being grilled, you'd expect it to be warm) and didn't realize he was ordering an appetizer, so he wasn't happy with the size of the dish. I would be good if the restaurant clearly marked which items are appetizers, sides, and entrees on the seasonal menu.

Wow! Although I'm a meat loving carnivore, this place has amazingly delicious food! I just had a Reuben and couldn't tell that I eating meatless corned beef. The last time I visited this place I had the tacos and the flavors are out of this world! All the ingredients are fresh and vibrant.

What a great option for clean healthy eating. The food here is very clean and tastes great. No sodas just fresh made drinks which was a great option. Wish they had one closer to my home.

Much chicken. . . Very Plant-Based. . . So Wow. . . Much Delicious! (in layman's terms:) ....That fake chicken tasted, had the consistency AND texture, of REAL chicken! Fellow Vegans and Vegetarians rejoice! 'Nuff said. But for the sake of a good review; I had been skeptical of Native Foods after my less-than-stellar Watercourse experience. Thinking, "how can a new-wave cafe' chain possibly make better vegan food than an established and well known restaurant? I bet its terrible too." Well I was wwrrrrrong!!! The atmosphere of Native Foods is bright and cheery and still gives off a warm vibe. Quirky and funny artwork, and this location has a great view of the mountains too. The employees were very nice even though it was close to closing time, and gave great customer service. Very clean also. The bakery display looked AMAZING, even though I did not get dessert this time. We got the Chicken Run Ranch sandwich and the Chicken Bacon Avo sandwich. Both were delicious - great imitation chicken & bacon and you can tell the ingredients for everything else is of very good quality - what I'd buy for myself at home. Their fries were also excellent. Ooooh and organic ketchup!!! And you mean I get free refills on all your delicious, homemade flavored teas?!?! In a REAL glass tumbler?!?! SWEET. Sure, they are a bit more expensive - we paid about $30 for 2 sandwiches, 1 side of Fries, and 2 free-refillable drinks. But you know what? It's like $2 more per person than what you would pay at 5 Guys or Chic-Fil-A or any other nearby cafe' chain. And its WAY healthier. And we didn't even need the extra side of fries because I was totally stuffed after eating my sandwich. High quality, organic foods fill you up with less because there aren't any empty calories. Besides all this, there IS NO OTHER Vegan or Vegetarian alternative restaurants anywhere nearby! Sure some other restaurants have "vegetarian" or 'vegan' options, if you tweak the menu, but here, I can see everyone (even omnivorous) being happy with what they order. Thus, 5 stars, this is the best of the best in this area right now. Skip Watercourse, go to Native Foods. You will not be disappointed!

It's rare to find a vegan spot outside of the city, and Native Foods is a hit in that regard. I've eaten there a few times, and it's always pretty good, but maybe not amazing. You order at the counter, get your own drink and they bring you your food. Yesterday, I ordered a wrap that came with fries, a small slice of "cheese"cake and a drink. The bill was $17.00 for me. For lunch. That is a bit steep for me to go there on the regular. The wrap was great, the cake was decent and the strawberry lemonade had a nice flavor, but it could have used a run through a strainer. The pieces of strawberry in it were an awkward size, that just left the drink with a weird feeling, I didn't even finish it.

My Dad and I stopped here on a road trip. He is vegetarian; I'm mostly vegetarian. We are from New York so we are used to having great food options. This place is so good that it rivals the vegetarian restaurants in bigger cities.

I'm obsessed!! Feeling thankful as a vegan that this restaurant exists! So many delicious options and fun patio area! BEER TOO!

This NF branch demonstrates my observation that NF staff is the opposite of most restaurant staff these days. While most servers at most restaurants seem unhappy and almost annoyed that you expect them to help you, NF Really seems to emphasize friendliness when hiring. And of course, the food rocks too. Even your omnivore friends will love it.

This restaurant can keep up with any big chain out there. It's clean in appearance but has a few earthy decorations to remind you that you are eating pure food. The food is excellent. I'm not gluten intolerant but like the less bloated feeling that comes with eating grain based food. Therefore I ordered GF. Their Bangkok rice bowl was excellent filled with brown rice, broccoli, carrots, kale and 3 hearty strips of tofu. Also their citrus green organic tea was a nice drink made a nice accompaniment. Lastly if you have room, make sure to try the peanut butter parfait that has crumbles on the top with chocolate chips and crumbles on the bottom. A fantastic finish!!!

The people here are great. It's across from Colorado Mills. It's a counter service vegan place, so it's a bit cheaper than the other vegan places. The menu has a variety of things, sandwiches, bowls, salad. Food is awesome. Would recommend staying away from the nachos. They used to be good, but now they changed it and the sauce tastes like thousand island dressing on tortilla chips. Other than the new nachos, this place is excellent. And the staff is super nice.

In love. As a non-vegetarian, non-vegan, against-restrictions from anything that prevents me from eating anything I want - I love this place. It's fast, on the cheaper end, full of veggies and delicious. I love vegetables!!!! I am also a fan of seitan and tofu and soy products. Something about all this stuff really fuels my body. By no means is this a fancy restaurant, it is just a means of getting great vegan food. Love love love the nachos. Salads were huge, the burger my friend ordered seemed wonderful. Native foods has replaced my love for chipotle (Chipotle is where I go when i'm craving fast and filling).

  • Steve O.

Vegan is not my thing. I went with some friends whose thing it is. They were thrilled and I was not totally disappointed. The nachos are decent (even for someone who would really like some kind of dead animal carcass on them) and the blueberry infused lemonade was great. If you're a veg head, you'll like this place. If you're not, it's not as bad as you may fear. It's worth checking out.

The name's Bond - James Bond. Don B was afraid that reviewing a vegan restaurant would do his reputation irreparable harm. This was our first visit to Native Foods Cafe. Here's the lowdown from the outside in. Parking sucks - that's true everywhere on the periphery of Colorado Mills - definitely not a restaurant issue per se. Luckily, James was able to park his Aston Martin without too much trouble tonight. You order at the counter - the young woman at the counter was very pleasant and helpful. You order, pay, and take a number to your table, and they bring you your food when it's ready. It's served on real dishes, with real glasses and real silverware. The food comes quickly, but it's not fast food. Prices are a little more than at "traditional" restaurants - entrees mainly $10 and less, sides $2 - $3, and "soft" drinks close to $3. Seems pretty reasonable overall - James doesn't doubt that it costs more to make seitan (whatever seitan is) than to simply grow a cow. And now the food. Everything is cleverly disguised vegan - that is, it's vegan to the core but it's named after real food, looks like real food, and surprisingly (at least to James), tastes like real food. We had the Super Italian Meatball Sub (sausage seitan meatballs, marinara sauce, caramelized onions, roasted sweet peppers, pumpkin seed pesto, ranch dressing and parmesan on a warm grilled baguette). James has no idea what "seitan" is, but the end result was a tasty and very respectable meatball sandwich. We also had the Buffalo Twister Wrap (crispy or grilled chicken tossed in buffalo sauce, avocado, tomatoes, romaine and creamy blue cheese served in a whole wheat tortilla). By "chicken" they really mean "soy, wheat and pea protein," but it was spicy, tasty, and remarkably like most other wraps James has ever eaten. No soft drinks (sodas) at Native Foods Cafe - just fruit drinks, iced teas (the iced green tea is delicious), hot teas and coffee. They also serve beer and wine - "vegan wine." Seriously, James wants to know - isn't all wine "vegan"? James will go back to Native Foods Cafe - probably several times. James wants to try the vegan versions of the Portobello & Sausage Burger, Classic Deli Reuben, Bistro Steak Sandwich, Baja Blackened Tacos, and the Oklahoma Bacon Cheeseburger. It's not that the food quality in itself is remarkable (but it really is very good), but at least to a carnivorous non-vegan, what's remarkable is that it's vegan but it looks, smells, tastes and quacks like real food. James says that's simply bloody brilliant!

It may be vegan but that doesn't mean healthy. The food is very rich and calorie dense. However the food is pretty good. It won't beat a beef burger but if you're looking for a new twist on comfort food, it's worth a try!

This place is great! Wonderful customer service and very knowledgeable about their foods. Fresh and delicious and they have dairy free dessert options. A must try for anyone even if you're not vegan or vegetarian! The atmosphere was fun. Lots of interesting paintings on the walls. Hand soap in the restroom is really cool. Read about it well you are in using it!

A girlfriend and I visited this location a week ago. I hope they are successful with this new location as the western suburbs need some healthy options! I had the Sesame Kale Macro bowl and absolutely loved it! It was huge so it easily made for dinner that night and lunch the next day. That's a good deal for ten bucks. The sesame sauce on top was tasty, the grilled tempeh perfect and the sauerkraut deliciously tangy. I will most definitely be back again! Can't wait to try another dish though it will be hard not to get the Macro bowl as it was so good!

  • Lisa O.

Totally not as good for you as you would think, but it tastes good. The chicken wings are great and the Scorpion Burger is a go-to. Something weird good is the Sesame Kale Macro, but you need to love (1) Kale (2) sauerkraut. I could live without the tempeh on it, but still it is weird good. Also the juices are great any day of the week. Word to the wise, the kids mac and cheese is really yucky.

My wife is a vegetarian and drags me to health food places. I like greasy burgers and steak and patios! However, this place had some good tasting meatless sandwiches that I found great. I am happy with the selection they have and the taste was great. I will be going back with my wife and I would even go without her. It was good, healthy and tasty!

Tasty! I'm one of the most carnivorous people I've ever met but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. Vegan faux chicken and bacon held up to their counterparts, $12 for lunch is a little more than I'd like to spend typically but it was well worth it

Came in for the first time and ordered a crispy chicken bacon and avocado club and it was amazing! I thought this place was going to be weird as shit but it was amazingly awesome! The customer service was awesome! 5 stars!

I got a $5 gift card for this location at Corepower Yoga so of course I had to try this place out. At first I didn't know it was all vegan or vegetarian because the menu said native chicken. But after reading other reviews I realized it. I was a little hesitant to come but a gift card is a gift card. I tried the mexican Cobb salad which ended up being quite delicious. The native chicken tasted like chicken to me. The only thing I didn't like in the salad was the jicama. I normally like jicama but it tasted weird in this. I liked the tofu bacon thing and the salad overall was huge. But I guess it should be since the total was about $10 before the gift card. I thought it was cool that all the condiments here were organic. Some people are really into that. I would definitely come by here a lot more often if I didn't eat meat and was a health freak. I'll probably come back sometime or other though, especially if I get some coupons. Otherwise it's a bit pricey but the quality seems to be worth it.

Love this place. Tried the new Native Foods that just opened by my boyfriend's house and it was great. The service was awesome as well. I tried the Twisted Twister Wrap (Buffalo Chicken Wrap) and it was super delicious! I ordered some fries on the side (accidentally got the house fries instead of the sweet potato fries), but they were still great. It is a bit pricey for a fast casual restaurant, but the food is great!

Wow was this place bad!!!! We go to the one in Glendale all the time and this one doesn't compare. We received an invitation to try it before it opened and I had to wait outside in the cold because the manager said people were taking too long to eat and couldn't get them out. I finally got in to order the food and got it to go. After waiting for around an hour to order and receive the food we got it back home and everything was wrong. They didn't even build the sandwiches right and the Oklahoma bacon cheeseburger didn't even have bacon. Our whole order was wrong. The mint cookies were smooshed. Don't go here until they can get everything under control or at least don't expect it to look or taste like the one in Glendale. It was their first night, but if you can't handle it because you don't have the space or staff then wait till you are ready or manage it better. It was a disaster!!!

Good food and good service! It was my first time here and I was greeted by a friendly lady who was super helpful answering my questions and was happy to check ingredients for my food allergies. I ordered the kung pao, which was a tofu skewer with veggies and brown rice and a peanut sauce. The only thing I thought was odd was that the warm food was served over a bed of romaine- next time I might ask if they can do the romaine on the side. It was a good portion that was fairly quick (but not too fast that you wonder how they do it). The lady who helped at the counter came by to ask how it was and then offered a dessert sampling. Oh yeah, and they have beer/wine... this is a great find for veggies! I'll definitely be back
